Was absolutely great. Although it was very full, we managed to get space for 7 people at short notice. Very friendly service, great food, what more could you want? Thank you!

Super nice, rustic inn with really delicious food!

Trotz voll besetztem Biergarten fand sich noch ein Platz für mich und ich bekam zügig mein Getränk. Auch das Essen ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und erfüllte alle meine Erwartungen bei weitem. Frisch, sehr lecker angerichtet und schmackhaft. Da passte auch noch ein zweites Bier. Wie die Zutaten ist auch das Bier regional. Frisch gezapft und schnell serviert, perfekt. Zum Abschluss gönnte ich mir noch einen Zwetschgenschnaps einer Karlsruher Brennerei, der vollkommen überzeugte. Mild und kräftig war auch der Espresso zum Abschluss. Hierher komme ich gerne wieder. Speisekarte mit guter Auswahl für jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel. Auch für Familien mit Kindern geeignet.

It's a nice place but not busy and has issues with staffing. Food is superb

We have been customers of this place for more than five years. We have always enjoyed the tasty food, but the customer service, especially during lunchtime, is getting worse. It has reached a point where some of the waiters have started using completely unprofessional language (unkind words, shouting, taking unreasonably long times to respond even when the restaurant is empty). More than three times, we had to leave the restaurant after waiting over 20 minutes with no interaction for lunch, no questions asked. Today, after very bad service and good food again :), I am calling it quits on this place.

The restaurant now serves Greek cuisine, and it is really excellent. We came by here by chance as there was hardly anything open on Mondays. All the other dishes that came out of the kitchen towards the other guests also looked very tasty. The price is also really fair.

We were there for dinner yesterday, a small group on a weekend excursion. Very good food, down-to-earth and fresh, plus attentive and friendly service. Wishes were fulfilled. Well attended by locals, we were extremely satisfied. Bernhard K.

The apple spritzer drinks were served lukewarm and non-carbonated on a 30 degree day. The waitress asks what you want to order 3 times despite writing it down, so you sit there forever. The same applies when paying, as the staff happily talk to others and always look to the side when you draw attention to themselves. The toilets are apparently still from the 50s and the hygiene here is not the best. We skipped the food.

Very friendly staff. Had an onion roast and a breaded schnitzel. Both tasted excellent.

Nice beer garden where you can sit well. Maybe a bit simple, but it doesn't bother you, the food is delicious and the prices aren't that outrageous.

I am amazed at the amount of positive feedback. After a long walk, I wanted to drink a freshly tapped beer. Unfortunately there was only bottled beer available that day. Somehow atypical for a pub.

Contrary to what was stated, it was closed

We stopped here while we were cycling. Just had a drink. Self-service. Can sit outside or inside. Directly at the riding stables.

Great ambience in a beautiful location in Freiburg's old town. The service at the beginning of our meal was very friendly and attentive. There was nothing to complain about about the dishes themselves - they were consistently delicious. Unfortunately, we weren't noticed after that, so we sat with empty plates and glasses for 40 minutes and would have liked to have had something to drink and eat. There really wasn't anyone around anymore. Instead, we ultimately paid in disappointment and therefore unfortunately do not recommend the sickle forge.
