Das beste Restaurant in Jena, das ist doch lächerlich. Da lachen ja die Hühner…. Man hat den Eindruck, der Wirt hat die unzähligen guten Bewertungen selbst geschrieben Völlig unrealistisch ……

The Wartburg no longer exists. It's now an Indian restaurant. Haven't tested it yet. But there are no more grilled knuckles. R.I.P. Wartburg

I ordered food for 25 people for a small function from here. The food was really tasty and all of them were really satisfied. I highly recommend this place. Best option for an Indian food in Jena.

Sorry but the ratings given are far from representing the quality of the restaurant. We start with the tea: much too strong because too much tea and nothing to remove the tea inside the teapot. The starter an assortment of donuts: completely different from the photo presented on Google, 4 really tiny donuts far from the expected size, that said they were good. The main course: the meat is of poor quality because it gives a very strong taste to the broth, I am a meat lover and can tell you that the quality is not there. We couldn't finish our plate because of that. We were disappointed.

I had the pleasure of trying the Dry Age Goulash at the restaurant and I have to say it was an absolute delight! The meat was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. Every forkful was a pleasure and thrilled me. I would also like to particularly emphasize the service. The staff was not only extremely friendly and accommodating, but also very attentive. Since I can only eat small portions, I was offered half a portion of goulash. Overall, a great experience that I can highly recommend to everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Das trifft genau meine Vorstellungen von gesundem Essen.

Ambiente: solide Gaststätte - Service: freundlich und zügig- Essen: okay aber kein Highlight Wir hatten die verschiedensten Speisen von der Abendkarte. Reichhaltige Teller, eben für gute Esser, aber die Menge alleine macht es nicht. Geschmacklich konnten weder die Schnitzel (zu viel Panade dafür zu wenig Gewürz) überzeugen noch das Rostbrätl fand Gefallen. Die Bratkartoffeln ließen leider ebenfalls sehr viel Luft nach oben, Konsistenz sehr unterschiedlich und trotz Speck geschmacklich eher fade. Zudem die Preise auch nicht gerade moderat. Die Gerichte mit den Lendchen waren deutlich besser abgeschmeckt, Beilagen dazu aber aus der Friteuse und somit keine große Kunst……wir werden es bei diesem ersten Besuch belassen.

The restaurant was almost full on a Tuesday evening, yet we could get a table for 2 pretty much immediately. The drinks, starters as well as the main dishes, all arrived super fast with almost no more than 10 mins of waiting time. The tempura was super crispy, the dish was made spicy according to the request. Overall, an amazing experience. :-)

Unfortunately the food is bad. There were three of us there and we all felt sick. I had to throw up. It's just extremely greasy and the vegetables and meat aren't fresh. It has nothing to do with Syrian cuisine, I have no idea why they can call themselves a “Syrian restaurant”. In any case, it spoiled our mood for the evening.

What a wonderful place along the Saale. We enjoyed the beer.

Food is delicious. Price as expensive as anywhere else. Unfortunately, a very long waiting time. We had 3 meals. They all came offset - although there were two identical ones. When the last meal came, the first had already been eaten for a few minutes.
