Die Betreiberfamilie führt das kleine Wanderhotel äußerst liebevoll. Es empfängt einem eine besondere Herzlichkeit, sodass man sich wirklich willkommen fühlt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielfältig. Wer möchte bekommt auch ein frisch zubereitetes Rühr- oder Spiegelei. Jeden Abend gibt es ein wechselndes 3-Gang-Menü, was sehr gut ist (absolut empfehlenswert!). Das Wanderhotel ist gleichzeitig ein gut gelegener Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderrouten. Haltestellen für die Kirnitzschtalbahn und dem Bus befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe.

We spontaneously visited the very busy restaurant on a weekday around 9 p.m. We received a very friendly welcome and were given the last available table. We were immediately provided with menus and the drinks order was taken immediately. The restaurant was very attractive and exuded a certain cosiness. The selection of food and drinks was more than sufficient. We had pumpkin cream soup and bratwursts with sauerkraut and potatoes. The sauce was brought separately in a gravy boat (absolute plus point). The food was tasty and rounded off the whole package. An absolute recommendation!

The stop at Alten Hansjörg enticed us to take a break with the delicious smell of the food. The terrace was full, but other guests were kind enough to share their table with us. The drinks were served quickly. Freshly preparing food naturally takes some time in a small kitchen. The wait in a pleasant atmosphere was worth it. The schnitzel and the brawn were super tasty. It was a good refreshment for the way back from Lilienstein.

Nice restaurant with a high quality ambience. For our stay at Schmilka, we had breakfast there. There were vegan options available, however, the options were quite sparse. I would have liked some variations in the vegan selection of cold cuts or some vegan option for scrambled tofu or something...

Had dinner there with the family today The starter was great and the penne with salmon was a disgrace. I had to look for the salmon, the pasta was soggy and there was no sauce.

Very cozy, family-run and down-to-earth guesthouse with a few rooms and located in the immediate vicinity of Falkenstein and Schrammsteinen. The perfect starting point for excursions and hikes through the core zone of Saxon Switzerland around Bad Schandau. We'd love to come back.

Once a month it is mandatory to dine in the *Schlossbastei*. Everything just fits: my salmon pasta, my Barcadi Cola and the ambience. Both ladies, who nimbly hop from table to table, always have the well-being of their guests in mind! In summer you are welcome to take a seat in the atrium and there is also seating in front of the main entrance. I highly recommend the Castle Bastion! But remember to reserve a table. Super delicious food. Very crowded in the evening, so it's better to book a table.

Very good, home-style cuisine. I recommend the sophisticated roast bread.
