Die Betreiberfamilie führt das kleine Wanderhotel äußerst liebevoll. Es empfängt einem eine besondere Herzlichkeit, sodass man sich wirklich willkommen fühlt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielfältig. Wer möchte bekommt auch ein frisch zubereitetes Rühr- oder Spiegelei. Jeden Abend gibt es ein wechselndes 3-Gang-Menü, was sehr gut ist (absolut empfehlenswert!). Das Wanderhotel ist gleichzeitig ein gut gelegener Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderrouten. Haltestellen für die Kirnitzschtalbahn und dem Bus befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Saxon Switzerland is not exactly the mecca for vegan/vegetarian nutrition. It's all the more pleasing that the "Franz" looks beyond meat-free dishes and serves an excellent vegan "Szegedin goulash" with dumplings, which is a very enjoyable, different interpretation of Eastern European cuisine. There is also a top selection of beer and wine. 👍

We enjoyed the main courses and also the dessert (cake & lava cake). In addition, the service was very attentive and friendly.

The guesthouse recommended the Gasthaus zur Eiche to us. Since it cannot be reached by phone, we reserved a table by email. We ordered the goulash 4 times, which tasted ok, but unfortunately the portion was very, very small. A small puddle on one flat plate for 17€. When I asked the waiter, who was visibly overwhelmed with all the tables, he only shrugged his shoulders and a few quiet words came out of his mouth Mouth that you couldn't understand. When I asked if I could get my second beer, I was very rudely put in my place, “It'll take a while, I'm here alone”. You weren't asked whether you were satisfied. The radio station that plays in the background in the evening is more reminiscent of the backdrop of a motorway service station. Conclusion - a very unpleasant experience and a lasting feeling of hunger, which was a shame for Easter.

Clear recommendation for this stop!! After the hike to the Schrammsteine, we treated ourselves to a treat here. No dish costs more than €18, but it is freshly prepared, lovingly prepared and tastes really great! There is a terrace with a view of the Falkenstein, but also a garden or seats in the restaurant. It would be important to keep an eye on the opening times! Weekends and public holidays!! But if so, a stop there is definitely worth it.

The food is incredibly delicious. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We managed to get a table by chance, but many people had to leave because there were no more seats available. Reservations are recommended. The staff are also very accommodating and friendly.

The two of us stayed here for three nights at the beginning of April and were given a room with a balcony on the 2nd floor. We were welcomed by a very nice lady who gave lots of good tips about the area and the hikes. The room had a fantastic view of the Elbe, just a stone's throw away, and of the sandstone cliffs on the other bank. Booked with breakfast, which was good, with small daily changes. Our special requests regarding food were promptly fulfilled by a friendly employee. All in one: thanks to the best weather, the very good location of the house and, last but not least, the friendliness of the staff, it was a very successful short vacation. Thanks! PS: We can be reassured because of the bang tracks nearby - the trains passing by were barely audible!

The food is more like an Asian fast-food restaurant, with a constant coming and going. Overall, it's hectic and loud. The service is friendly, but the food doesn't improve. Overall, a place designed to feed tourists.

We are on holiday at the Ostrauer Mühle campsite for the fourth time and often have dinner in the Flösserstube. The food tastes very tasty. Beautifully prepared and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The guest room is very tastefully decorated. Many thanks to the team - we'll be back.

If you're talking about fast food, it's a great place. In less than 60 minutes, four guests were fed...! Mini pizza for a great price, even at MCCES they still smile at you after you order. There is better nearby! After Easter, Bad Schandau is a service desert either way!
