Nestled in beautiful natural surroundings. The service was very friendly. Excellent Bohemian beer. Pleasant background music. The restaurant is housed in a classic vaulted cellar. Definitely recommended for a stop to eat, drink, and relax. A full 5 stars. We'll definitely be back.

We were only there for dinner, so I can't comment on the rooms. The restaurant has a rustic feel thanks to its sandstone walls, but it's very tastefully decorated and furnished. The food is delicious, and the staff is quick and polite. Highly recommended.

We would like to give you feedback regarding our recent takeout order, as we were unfortunately very disappointed. Upon entering your establishment, we were immediately struck by an intense odor, strongly reminiscent of a fast-food joint, which was quite uninviting. The burger was slightly burnt on top, while the meat inside was still pink – which was not the desired level of doneness for us. The fries were unfortunately soggy and bland, and some pieces of the potato salad were even raw. We had been looking forward to a good meal and were understandably disappointed that the quality did not meet our expectations. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat it. The food was far below restaurant standards, at best comparable to a kiosk or cafeteria. We understand that exceptions can happen, but we wanted to provide this feedback in the hope that you will take it constructively and use it to improve.

Very delicious food and good service

Atmosphere: very cozy and beautiful, a former steelworks. Food: absolutely delicious, venison goulash, dumplings filled with smoked meat. So, so good. Huge praise to the chef! Beer: very, very drinkable. I only meant to have one, but I'm already on my third :))

Very nice vacation apartment. Rustic style blended with modernity, a truly cozy combination. The ambiance in the restaurant below is very well done, with vaulted ceilings and a natural stone look. The food is excellent.

Restaurant was a nice place to eat and drink some local beers after a long hike. I had the schnitzel which was okay but nothing special and was too expensive for the quality. The dunkel beer I had however was really good and the beautiful garden outside had a relaxed atmosphere.

The guesthouse is located in a wonderful area, very close to hiking trails, and is well-connected (free public transportation for guests). The apartments are clean and offer plenty of amenities. The breakfasts are delicious with a wide selection. The service is very friendly. We recommend it!

Excellent food, large portions, nice service

I can't understand the positive reviews, as our visit was very disappointing. We were looking for a restaurant and stumbled upon this place based on its high rating. Unfortunately, the visit didn't live up to our expectations. We each ordered a lemonade. My elderflower lemonade tasted mostly of syrup, which the paper straw didn't help. The other lemonade also contained too much raspberry syrup and frozen fruit. Two days earlier, we had enjoyed a much better raspberry lemonade with fresh fruit in the same city. I then ordered a burger. It was a bit too raw on the inside, but otherwise acceptable. The fries, however, were simple frozen fries with no noticeable flavor, aside from the frying oil. I would have preferred steakhouse fries. My wife ordered dumplings with smoked meat, which was also disappointing. The dumplings were partly hard, and the smoked meat consisted of diced ham with some fried onions from the supermarket. Overall, based on our personal experience, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Great food. I had a rnds bouillon with delicious dumplings, not too salty like you often get in Eastern European restaurants. I was even able to charge my phone there, which was a big help.

So, unfortunately, we can't recommend this place. We went there yesterday after a long bike ride because of the great reviews and the great pictures. We got a table right away but had to wait an hour for our food, which, disappointingly, also only contained frozen products. The schnitzels all look the same, and the fries are just regular fries you'd get from the supermarket. We don't have a problem with that, but why are we waiting an hour when it only takes 10 minutes? My wife got a Bolognese, which we can't recommend either, as it didn't taste of anything. If it had been a little salty, it would have been fine, but it lacked all the essential spices of a Bolognese. The service was definitely friendly and accommodated us for this inconvenience, and we didn't have to pay for our drinks. So, if you want delicious food, another place might be a better choice. But it's great for a drink.

This was our second visit to the Ostrauer Hof. The first time was simply fantastic... very good service, the food was delicious, and it was on the table in no time. Everyone who works here enjoys their job, and you can tell. The second time was exactly the same... very good service and great food. There's a changing daily menu, so there's something for everyone. We highly recommend it 👍.

Unfortunately, it was quite busy, and the staff was a bit overwhelmed. As a result, the food arrived a bit cold. I think the kitchen is too small for the number of guests.

We stopped here because of the numerous positive reviews and have to admit that we can't agree with them. The interior of the restaurant is beautifully designed and cozy. The outdoor area is rather small and fills up quickly on nice, sunny days. The service was fast. The menu is concise but perfectly adequate. We opted for schnitzel and goulash. Since the kitchen area is open-plan, we could also watch the employee transferring the small stick fries from the large industrial plastic bag into the fryer... On the plus side, the colorful, super-fresh salad with a delicious sauce that accompanied the schnitzel was great. The cranberry sauce was also great. Unfortunately, the fries weren't crispy at all. The schnitzel was definitely not homemade and was simply fried. For us, it was at most a snack bar standard for a restaurant price. The goulash with dumplings was more like Bohemian dumplings with goulash. Selling this portion, sauce, and four small pieces of meat as goulash is audacious. The dumpling was very dry and probably not homemade. The sauce was only moderately seasoned, and the meat was tender. Unfortunately, when we were clearing away, no one asked how it was. Perhaps you could already tell. For us, the value for money wasn't right.

A short vacation in Königstein, a trip to Schmilka, and on the way back, we stopped for a restaurant. We weren't disappointed; the food was delicious.

The food tasted very good and the service was very attentive and friendly.

We were in Ostrau for a week and ate at the Ostrauer Hof every evening. On the first evening because it was more practical than looking for something in Bad Schandau, then because we liked it so much. The food is great, in addition to the menu there are also daily specials every now and then. Everything is great. I can only thank the staff, despite the store being full to the brim on May 1st, everyone was super nice. Overall a very nice atmosphere, absolutely recommended.

We ate there last Saturday as a family (8 adults, 4 children). We have to say, very tasty, very friendly even though it was quite busy. Absolutely recommend this restaurant. A thank you to the entire team.
