Great gastronomy and good food, friendly staff

We really enjoyed our stay with you. The stable ambience was very appealing. We would like to thank you for the fast and uncomplicated service. And for the extra lemons. The only thing I can complain about is the kitchen smell. We are still happy to recommend them.

Update after change of ownership, significantly better quality and good value for money. That's why new 5 stars... Price-performance inadequate. Guest room quite nice. Maybe okay for a drink after the hiking tour, but I wouldn't recommend food or cake.

Best beer you’ll find in all of Saxony Switzerland!

After we had walked the small Schrammsteinrunde, we walked another 250 meters from the Parkplatz, and it was worth it. Small, but cozy restaurant that deserves more than the 3.8 stars they currently have. Staff is very friendly, prices are good and the food tasted very good.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. There is also a beautiful guest garden at the house. The staff is friendly. We were just there for coffee.

Not that big, great food, very friendly service

We came for a beer, but were tempted by the nice environment and friendly service to have a small meal as well. The broth with celestýn noodles was strong and honest, the fresh parsley gave it a twist and overall I liked it very much. Ice cream in a pancake was a little throwback to childhood, when there was no other dessert in restaurants. However, the ice cream and the pancake are fine in terms of taste. Add to that our beloved wheat beer and we didn't lack anything to make us happy. I explain the low rating of the company here on Google by the relatively high prices, where we paid over €30 for the aforementioned. However, if money is not decisive for you and you want to remember the restaurant "classic", then we got it here and left satisfied.

Three delicious yeast dumplings filled with blueberry filling and vanilla sauce for €13.90, that's okay. The attractive operation is another plus.

We had to reserve by phone in advance. The food was great, the price was reasonable. I was amazed at the delicious dishes that were conjured up in such a small kitchen.

We spent a long weekend in the Ostrauer Hof holiday home with a larger group and had our daily dinner in the “Zum Ostrauer Hof” restaurant. The holiday home and the restaurant do not have the same operator. About the staff: The staff consists of a funny two-man team in the service area and a cook. Even though we were a large group of 16 people, the two waitresses ran the place. There were no time delays for either the other guests or our group. The two waitresses were never at a loss for a funny saying. The atmosphere was very pleasant. About the dishes: The dishes are very tasty and beautifully presented. Of course, you won't get fine dining here, but you should be aware of that when you stop by a small country inn.

Due to the lack of alternatives, we decided to stop at this restaurant. The experience reports on Google didn't suggest anything good. However, our low expectations were still exceeded. The service was nice but brought the wrong drink twice. The goulash was OK but the dumplings didn't taste good at all. The schnitzel with fries were so-so. The price was extra class. A whopping €85 for two. Adults and two children with canteen-level food. Price-performance ratio underground. Anyone who can should give this restaurant a wide berth.

The food was really fantastic and delivered quickly and considering the restaurant had only been open for three weeks, the ambience wasn't all that bad. The filled dumplings are highly recommended.

The food is quite good. The service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff argues in front of the guests.

Food nothing special, rather below average, schnitzel much too thick and therefore tough. Burnt fried potatoes. All in all, the kitchen is not worth a visit. The 2 stars are for the service, which was friendly and good, but it can't do anything for the poor food!

I stayed at the Ostrauerhof. Specially selected because the restaurant is included. Since Ostrau is very remote, this was a good idea for me so that I didn't have to drive through the area in the evening. Ate schnitzel on the first evening, unfortunately the first one was burnt, that can happen. We were able to sit outside until 9 p.m. in the evening. Unfortunately on Monday it only lasted until 8 p.m. and from Tuesday until Friday it was completely closed. From now on there is no information or notice, neither from the house nor on the signs or on the internet. On Tuesday, around 50 hikers came by during the day who wanted to eat or at least drink something. Unfortunately, they had to leave again with their tongues hanging and thirst. Since I had imagined my stay differently and I didn't feel like self-catering, I was forced to leave early on Wednesday, which I very much regretted. I would specifically like to be very accommodating Praise for the service staff. Since I have personally been self-employed for 30 years and am familiar with the personnel and other problems, this is no reason for me to close a restaurant overnight. I still wish the Ostrauerhof all the best for the future and much success, especially better management. Oskar Wiegärtner

Very nice service, good food and fair prices

We were there in the evening and sat outside. The service was very nice and customer-oriented. The schnitzel was good, but not very good. Considering the good price-performance ratio, 4 stars for the food served. Conclusion: recommended (you can go there)

Eine sehr schöne und gemütliche Gaststätte. Sehr nettes Personal und eine sehr hübsche Kellnerin. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Ich komme auf jedenfall gern wieder.

Lecker gegessen Preis- Leistung stimmt zur jetzigen Zeit Kann ich nur Empfehlen, diese Gaststätte einmal zu besuchen.

Es ist ein gemütliches kleines aber feines Restaurant, sehr schick eingerichtet. Das Essen war mega lecker. Die Getränke haben auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Preise waren super gewessen, nicht überteuert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, sehr lustig, hatte immer einen lustigen Spruch parat 😁

Ich kann hier leider nur das Ambiente und den Service beurteilen. Wir wollten dort etwas essen aber die Küche hatte leider schon geschlossen, was nicht deren Schuld war sondern unseres. Denn wir waren einfach zu spät dran. Aber ihr seid vorgemerkt für den nächsten Besuch, dann aber früher das wir auch noch etwas zu Essen bekommen. 😄

Super nettes Personal. Saubere bequeme Appartements. Einige davon mit Luxus Ausstattung. Beste Übernachtung um direkt loszuwandern. Schrammsteine direkt nebenan. Klasse Frühstück

Da einzige geöffnete Gaststätte im Ort, sind wir hier eingekehrt. Zur besten Kaffeezeit(16Uhr) gab es nur noch 1 Sorte Tiefkühltorte, obwohl mit Kuchen und Torte geworben wurde. Der Kaffee war in Ordnung(am Automat wurden die richtigen Programme gewählt). Auch bei Tiefkühltorte kann man ja nicht viel falsch machen. Leider wollten 2 Personen auch Würzfleisch essen. Die ersten Portionen haben wir zurückgehen lassen, da sie nur aus Flüssigkeit bestanden. Beim 2. Mal waren einige Fleischstückchen zu finden. Geschmacklich war es trotzdem ein Reinfall.

Ordentlich, überschaubare Karte mit allem was der hungrige Wanderer braucht. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. So was erlebt man nur noch selten in dieser Ausprägung. Danke.
