Cafe Elbflorenz in Bad Schandau

Unfortunately, we didn't try the food because the restaurant has one chef and can't serve 4 people.

Apparently, the Elbe region doesn't need to be open during the summer and holiday season. Today, not a single restaurant along the Elbe was open, and it was 2 p.m. on a Thursday! That's pretty sad for the area and doesn't exactly make you want to come here in the summer. Absolutely incomprehensible.

An insider tip in Bad Schandau! Don't let the name "café" put you off – you can enjoy excellent main meals here. Super delicious food at fair prices. The waitress is extremely friendly and passionate about her work. Absolutely recommended!

Delicious food and good service. The location down to the Elbe is quite nice, even though there are many trains passing by on the opposite bank. However, this cannot detract from a really good experience at Elbflorenz

Beautiful views and a varied menu. There's also plenty of choice for vegetarians. The food tastes twice as good with the beautiful view of the Elbe from the terrace.

We visited Café Elbflorenz today and were completely thrilled! The food was absolutely outstandingly delicious – I've rarely raved about it so much. A huge compliment to the kitchen! Although there was a slight delay in preparing the food, the service was always incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. You could feel the positive atmosphere and the team's commitment. I also particularly appreciated how comfortable our child felt. The staff were lovingly attentive, had a bit of fun with her, and for a change, our little one ate like there was no tomorrow! The decor is very tasteful and inviting, and the view is simply breathtaking. An all-around perfect visit! We would love to come back and highly recommend Café Elbflorenz.

We spent a wonderful afternoon there yesterday. The cake and the pike-perch fillet were very good. The two very friendly waitresses were accommodating. The value for money was excellent. We also really liked the location and the view.

A beautifully located restaurant with a view of the Elbe River. We had a very, very good meal here, and the lady who seemed to be the sole server was incredibly friendly. She even brought my 12-year-old daughter a tea towel to protect her white dress from the tomato sauce.

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the atmosphere simply welcoming. We'd especially like to highlight the team: two powerful women who run the place with impressive energy – one of them even with a broken toe! Despite this, we received a friendly welcome and prompt service. No other restaurant came close. So we came back on our last evening – again without a reservation, but we were still warmly welcomed. The food arrived quickly and was once again fantastic, and this time I even got to try the Kleckselkuchen (dry cake) – served warm and lovingly presented, even though the café was really busy. A big thank you to this amazing team of two – you're fantastic! We're already looking forward to the next time. 💛

If I could, I'd give it more than 5 stars. We were here several days in a row, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious! It's dog-friendly, and the service is incredibly friendly and uncomplicated.

After spending a lot of time visiting restaurants in Bad Schandau in the evenings, my clear conclusion is: Top in ALL aspects: quality of service, quality of food, friendliness, ambience and pricing.

We had the apple strudel and Kaiserschmarn. Both were delicious. Another day, we had two ice cream sundaes. They were also highly recommended. We'd be happy to come back. The service was also great and friendly. 🙂

Truly great food! The apricot dumplings had the perfect consistency and tasted excellent. The goat cheese was also great. The café itself seemed a bit dated inside and could use a bit of a spruce up.

Stopped for lunch at this wonderful place! Nice owners with a great sense of humor. The weather is simply fabulous, the sun is shining, the birds are singing. The place is gorgeous, we had lunch on the open terrace, everything was clean and tidy. Very tasty prepared dishes! Beef tongue 5 🌟 I recommend visiting!

Very nice café/restaurant with a view of the Elbe. I've been there several times. The breakfast is very good. Today we had hot chocolate and an egg pie with poppy seeds. The service is always lovely. Thank you for that.

My idea of ​​a café is that we have a certain selection of pastries in the afternoon. Unfortunately the only choices were curds and waffles from the kitchen. Neither convinced us. The drumsticks have probably been in the freezer for a while, where they have had time to dry out. Only the friendliness of the staff can be praised at this point. But maybe we were just there at the wrong time - a few days after the Elbe flooded.

The café is nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the Elbe. The food was incredibly tasty and the service was very friendly, funny and nice. We would like to come again.

The cafe overlooks the River Elbe, whether sitting inside or outside, you get the view of the river… Came here just for coffee, but also had ‘Mohnkuchen’ which was very tasty and was surprisingly a bit warm too, which made it extra delicious ☺️ ❤️

Kann ja ein nettes und gutes Restaurant sein, wenn man aber im Internet nach den Öffnungszeiten schaut und später vor verschlossener Tür steht weil ein anderer Ruhetag als angegeben gilt ist es schon suboptimal. Zudem wenn einem das Restaurant empfohlen wurde. Schade.

Wir waren als Gruppe mit 17 Personen dort und es hat alles bestens geklappt. Bedienung (Inhaberin), Speisen (Küchenfee) waren super obwohl der Stressfaktor nicht klein war lief alles Reibjngslos und immer sehr freundlich. Wir können hier nochmals erwähnen, daß uns sonst niemand bewirten wollte oder konnte. Danke

Alle freien Tische auf der Terrasse waren mit Reserviert-Schildern versehen. Wir wurden im Innenbereich plaziert. Nach 1 Stunde war nicht einer dieser Tische besetzt.??? Man denke sich seinen Teil. Essen war ok. Bezahlung mit Kreditkarte nicht gewollt weil zu teuer. Servicebewertung daher mangelhaft.

Wir waren vergangenen Sonntag zum Abendessen essen dort. Uns wurde schnell ein freier Platz auf der Terrasse zugewiesen. Service war freundlich, kompetent und schnell. Essen war sehr lecker. Klare Empfehlung

Die Eisbecher sind wirklich sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich obwohl sie alles alleine bedient hat. Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!

Hier muss man einfach hingehen wenn man in Bad Schandau ist. Wir haben selten so eine super nette Bedienung gehabt. Das Essen ist durchweg ausgezeichnet und reichlich. Mit einem schönen Ausblick auf die Elbe fühlt man sich hier rundum wohl.

Am Ruhetag meines Wanderurlaubes in der Region, kehrte ich für drei Gänge im Café Elbflorenz ein. Es gab absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Der Service so wie das Ambiente mit direktem Blick auf die Elbe waren Klasse! Das Essen erst recht! Das Lachsfilet so unglaublich zart und butterweich, dass es förmlich im Munde zerging. Zusammen mit den Bratkartoffeln, eine absolute Empfehlung!

Gutes Restaurant. SonnenTerrasse mit Blick auf die Elbe direkt am Anleger von Bad Schandau. Wir hatten sehr leckere regionale Forelle, sorgfältig zubereitet und auf schönem Porzellan gereicht.
