Falkenstein Hütten-Cafe in Bad Schandau

A cozy, green, and peaceful hotel with a spacious room and a beautiful view. The breakfast was good, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner with a new taste. The hotel owners, a kind and hospitable couple, made the stay even more pleasant. The price was very reasonable.

Very nice owner and welcoming to the guests, you can reach this place by public transportation bus 252 Bub with some considerations, after noon minibus is instead of bus. With your own car, it will be easier to drive and very nice green road. You can find a new test of delicious foods here. Breakfast is good. View of rooms are nice with mountains and pool and wild jungle. Overall i recommend this place to you if you want a quiet relaxing place near to the mountains and jungle and village.

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Falkenstein-Hütten UG, and all I can say is: It was simply fantastic! 🌟 We received an incredibly warm welcome upon arrival – the hosts are by far the nicest we've ever experienced. To our surprise, we even received a free upgrade to even nicer accommodations, which made our stay truly special. The attention to detail and hospitality here are truly exceptional. I would also like to particularly emphasize that – although we unfortunately missed breakfast – we were still served a delicious breakfast. This is truly something you don't take for granted and shows how much passion the hosts put into their guests. All in all: A stay that leaves nothing to be desired! We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the Falkenstein-Hütten to everyone.

The view of the Falkenstein is, of course, very beautiful. Add to that the great service and good food. If the beer's good, everything's good. I'd go back anytime.

A great starting point or end point for all kinds of hikes, located right on the Falkenstein mountain next to the Schrammsteine. The food was delicious, but home-style. The staff was very friendly.

We had a really amazing time staying here! The rooms were very comfortable, large, and extremely clean. We had a full dine-in kitchen in our little suite, which would be perfect for longer trips. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the food in the cafe downstairs was excellent. The terrace in the back and the pool have a gorgeous view of Schrammsteine. The pool also has a natural filtration system, so you'll be swimming with little salamanders! There is a bus stop right by the entrance to the parking lot—but it is a somewhat remote area, so keep an eye on the bus schedule, because they do not run frequently at all! We wanted to hike through Großes Schrammtor and Wildschützenstieg up to Schrammsteinaussicht, and the trailhead was just a short walk from here, which made it very easy to get to. And the prices were very affordable! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the park or the Bad Schandau region!

The prices would be reasonable for a stopover, but our meal was awful. The fries were warm, but not properly fried, dripping with grease. The burgers were the same, and they were also smothered in mayonnaise.

We stopped here for dinner. It was delicious and definitely good value for money. It was self-service, but the staff at the counter were very accommodating and friendly. There was a pirate ship for our child to climb on. Parking is available, and card payments starting at €10 are accepted. We'd love to come back ☺️

We stopped here for a beer and ice cream after a long hike. The seating area in front of the house is really nice and sunny even in the evening. The self-service is okay, but you have to walk all the way back into the dining room to return the dishes. The prices are great. The ice cream sundaes are delicious, and there's a solid beer selection.

Clear recommendation for this stop!! After the hike to the Schrammsteine, we treated ourselves to a treat here. No dish costs more than €18, but it is freshly prepared, lovingly prepared and tastes really great! There is a terrace with a view of the Falkenstein, but also a garden or seats in the restaurant. It would be important to keep an eye on the opening times! Weekends and public holidays!! But if so, a stop there is definitely worth it.

Very cozy, family-run and down-to-earth guesthouse with a few rooms and located in the immediate vicinity of Falkenstein and Schrammsteinen. The perfect starting point for excursions and hikes through the core zone of Saxon Switzerland around Bad Schandau. We'd love to come back.

The place really needs an upgrade and is clearly not designed for large numbers of visitors; long queue. We were there on a sunny Sunday that attracted almost all of Dresden to the Elbi. Cake and hollunder syrup were also sold out 🤷🏼‍♂️

Nice hidden place, not crowded. Food was very good. Starting point for many hikes around Ostrau.

Food not of high quality. Apple strudel was delicious. Veggie burger with fries for €16.50 (!!!) unfortunately fell apart soggy and wasn't tasty either. Mushrooms smelled chemically, potato wedges had no idea how real they were.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn't that great. Service was super nice and nice. Location is pretty nice. Maybe just don't eat a burger.

Unfortunately only 1 star. After a long hike, we were craving some delicious local food: Mushroom ragout that tasted like it came from a ready-made bag, tarte flambée with chili spices and stale beer. That coupled with slow self-service service (!?) just seems uninspired. It's a shame we didn't enjoy the time.

Very good guesthouse, clean, friendly in a great location. It was a week full of light and air in the beautiful landscape of Saxon Switzerland.

Absolute tip!!! Super cozy! Breathtaking view! Many comfortable rentals are possible, from family houses to single rooms. Very clean. Spool out! Terrace and front garden. Family business. Family friendly business. Cheap prices. There are enough parking spaces available. Well maintained facility. The boss is always on site and extremely friendly.

We were there after hiking, so only rating of the restaurant: Very nice and friendly service, you can order drinks and food at the counter in the restaurant and pay directly. The food is then brought to the table. The hamburger was very juicy and the fries were as they should be. Not too thin and perfectly fried... Very good price-performance ratio!

We walked past there after hiking and since it was warm and we were thirsty and hungry, we went in. Since you can sit inside, on the terrace and in the garden, there is a wide range of good places to choose from. However, self-service is the order of the day, but that didn't bother us. The food was OK, but we only had burgers and fries. Ice cream sundae was also great and my shandy tasted good. You can't go wrong if you take a detour here!

We were there after a hiking tour near the Schramsteine ​​and had something to eat and drink. The staff was very nice and our children were also able to choose a little something (sweets) at the end. Prices are totally good for a tourist region. Price/performance was really great. Outside we were pointed out about the friendly "self-service" except for ordering at the counter, but we "missed" it 😉 If we're with you again with the camper, we'll be happy to come back.

Naja...für Selbstbedienung sowie Qualität der Speisen, gibt es bei den Preisen nur 3 Sterne. Wird Zeit,dass wieder die volle Mehrwertsteuer erhoben wird und ihr euch diese 12% nicht weiter ohne Grund einstecken dürft.

Auf der Suche nach einen kleinen Abendessen, sind wir überraschend daran vorbei gefahren und kurzentschlossen umgedreht. Wir haben es absolut nicht bereut, so herzlich Empfangen zu werden und selbst auch die Besitzer waren vor Ort und haben bedient. Super freundlicher Service und absolut leckeres Essen. Auch sehr übersichtliche Karte und nicht zu viel im Angebot, ich denke hier ist für jeden was dabei , wovon man auch sehr satt wird. Ich persönlich komme wieder …. Danke für so viel Herzlichkeit 👌

Seit Januar diesen Jahres mit neuen Besitzern, spürt man hier den frischen Wind. Ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aber vor allem eine sehr sehr freundliche Führung und freundliche Mitarbeiter*innen. Die Eierkuchen sind besonders zu empfehle. Unsere Hunde waren gern gesehen. PS: vielen vielen Dank noch mal für die selbstlose Unterstützung bei unserer am Ende ins Wasser gefallenen Wanderung.
