We ate at the restaurant for the last two days. It's rare to find such delicious food. Everything is homemade, and you can taste it. And the portions are also very generous. The service is really great. If the restaurant is full, you just wait a while in the beer garden, and the manager will call you in when there's space again. On the second day, we decided to reserve a table instead. It's amazing how many guests they serve in those five hours. We'll be back!!!!

Arriving from the cold and rain, the restaurant immediately felt cozy. Although almost completely full, we quickly found a seat for two. We received very attentive and warm service. And the food was delicious and reasonably priced. In short, we felt very comfortable. Thank you very much!

Delicious home-cooked food with a Czech touch!

We had a wonderful meal there last night, following a friendly invitation, first in the entrance. I opted for the cured tongue in horseradish sauce and ordered dumplings instead of potatoes. Of course, it was no problem at all; it was heavenly, the meat was very tender, and it came with the best horseradish sauce in town. Thank you for the wonderful evening, as the service was also very attentive and completely relaxed. A very good tip in Bad Schandau 👌👌👌

I really liked the ambiance. The staff were a bit annoyed on the phone; they gave the impression there weren't any seats left, but we were allowed to come in. It turned out that most of the people who came after us didn't have reservations, and they got seats, too. The food was OK, but given the decor and the prices, I was expecting a bit better service; the roulade wasn't really tender enough. And the music didn't fit the ambiance either. Of course, it's a matter of taste, but I wasn't looking for more sophisticated food. I'd go somewhere else for the same price and pay the same or a bit more for better quality.

The service was very nice, smiling and willing to help with the choice. The food? An absolute experience! Each course was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced in taste. The portions were just right, so you leave satisfied and not full. I also appreciate the quality selection of wines and other drinks. Overall, a great establishment, where I would definitely like to return – whether for a romantic dinner or just to sit with friends.

I had the venison ragout with chanterelle mushrooms, red cabbage, and potato dumplings. My wife had the pork loin steak ou four with spiced meat and baked with cheese, served with croquettes. Both are highly recommended, and the portion sizes are perfectly adequate. The service was friendly and, above all, there were no long waits; everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We sat outside, and despite the rain, everyone was in a good mood. We've definitely decided that the next time we're here, we'll definitely go back to Franz.

This establishment drew us in with its energy, the nicely lit passage invited us to look at the seated guests, enjoying the atmosphere and good beer. The food is excellent, with unique combinations of flavors, plenty of sauce and great service. Just take half a day off after that portion to digest. Excellent, beautiful, pleasant, we recommend!

Personally, I found the portions to be small. The Dresden Sauerbraten came in two very thin slices and with two small dumplings. The side salad was nothing special and unloving. The staff wasn't particularly friendly when we had questions. I wouldn't go here again.

We received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The rump steak was cooked to perfection, and the other dishes at the table also left us with great satisfaction. The food arrived very quickly, and the service was extremely friendly and efficient. The ambiance was optimized to the best of the available space :) The only improvement we could think of would be pencils and something to color in for the kids, but given the short wait, that might not be necessary.

Amazing food at a very reasonable price. We were lucky to get a table, although we only called around 3-4pm on the day itself. Hence, do book in advance to avoid disappointment. The kitchen and front of the house service crew try their very best to make sure everyone is being served timely and get sufficient attention. So do bring along some patience.

All the staff are not only friendly but also very attentive. The ambiance: It's clean, and there are pictures of the region on the walls. Food: The food is delicious! Our food arrived quickly. However, the portion sizes vary greatly. Some dishes were generous and would have left you feeling full. However, we could have easily eaten two plates of our food. The sauces for some dishes could have been more original and were reminiscent of ready-made sauces. We would definitely come back, but we would choose different dishes.

The best food during a few days in Saxony. The cuisine is correct, but not outstanding (if you can talk about outstanding cuisine in this price range). But nothing would have happened if the chef had surprised. Generally, a well-deserved 3.7 that would have indicated a 4.

Canned mushrooms.... Visited here because of the good reviews. Overall, it was OK, but unfortunately not up to the high rating. We had two schnitzels, one with fries and creamed mushrooms, and the other with asparagus and potatoes. I ordered the fries extra crispy, which didn't work out. They were limp and greasy. My schnitzel, however, had been in the pan too long on one side and came out very dark. On top of that, they served mushrooms from a jar or can. I couldn't understand that. 🤷 The hollandaise sauce was probably also from a packet, which wasn't up to scratch either and had a strange taste. Our visit wasn't bad, but I really expected better, based on the presentation and the reviews. The service was friendly and attentive. The radio in the kitchen also plays music for the guests in the courtyard.

The food we ordered arrived quickly and was very tasty. The portions were large enough to fill us up, but not too full. So we also treated ourselves to one of the warm apple strudels. Very delicious! Das Restaurant ist steril und einfach eingerichtet. Es gibt nur wenige Sitzplätze. Somit war das Restaurant bei unserem Besuch voll belegt. Die Karte ist durch einfache und bürgerliche Gerichte geprägt. Im Wesentlichen Schnitzel und Schnitzel. Für ein Schnitzel bezahlt man 23€. Für die einfache Ausführung also sehr teuer. Der von mir probierte Riesling ist unterirdisch. Insgesamt eine Enttäuschung, aber noch gerade so ok.
