Sehr schön im Hof gelegener Außenbereich. Bedienung war freundlich und auch bereit kleine Änderung am Essen vorzunehmen. (Beilagen) Das Essen an sich war auch lecker.

Very tasty food, nice atmosphere and great, very friendly employees.

Food was really tasty [fried lettuce hearts, caramelized goat cheese and lava cake]. Service was quick and very nice. Everything together perfect. Ok, prices are high, but I knew that beforehand and later found it appropriate.

Great service, dog-friendly and really good food (taste, portion, quality). Plenty of options for vegetarians and some vegan dishes too.

Our pizza was delicious, but unfortunately we all had a stomach ache the next day because it wasn't completely cooked. The service was quite stressed but tried to be friendly.

🤗I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Gambrinus restaurant in Bad Schandau and I can say that the food is really top notch! The selection was varied and I was impressed by the quality of the dishes. Every dish was prepared with a lot of love and the flavors harmonized wonderfully. It's obvious that the emphasis here is on fresh ingredients and craftsmanship. However, the service could be a little more joyful. While the service was correct and served its purpose, a friendly smile and a bit more enthusiasm would greatly improve the overall experience. At times it felt a bit distant, which is a shame because the atmosphere of the restaurant is otherwise very welcoming. Overall, however, my visit to Gambrinus was pleasant and I can highly recommend the restaurant for the excellent food. With a little more joy in the service it could be a truly outstanding experience.

Nice and cozy atmosphere in the courtyard. In order to be sure to get a place, you should reserve. Our food was top! Especially the fried lettuce hearts with lentils were something different and very tasty. Very fast, polite and courteous service.

Unfortunately, during our visit the service wasn't particularly good and unfortunately I also found my pene Bolognese to be very bland in terms of taste for the high price. I had really expected more.

Very nice atmosphere and super nice service. The salad was really fresh and crunchy. The best I've ever been served in a restaurant. That made the evening very round.

We were turned away at 4:50 p.m. on the grounds that there was a break until 5:00 p.m. When asked whether we could sit down and maybe get something to drink, the break was mentioned again. Well, the four of us wanted to eat and drink, but apparently you don't have to rely on paying guests. It's a shame, because we know the restaurant from before - but before was... before 🤔

So the name evokes Czech beer, but they have my favorite Munich brewery on offer. The beer is therefore good (if the glass was frozen, it would be like in Mníšek pod Alpou). The veal is excellent, the service is nice, the swarm of wasps around the table is less.

Nice patio, but the staff not very welcoming, the food very greasy and tasted like it was defrosted.

This year, me and my family were on vacation for 14 days in Bad Schandau for the third time. The Gambrinus has become our favorite restaurant because it has a great ambience, very, very nice staff and delicious food. Always happy to come here, stay as you are! Your Fölsch family

I can't recommend pizza. Very expensive and sometimes small portions.

We were lucky, many tables were reserved, but we still managed to get a seat. Service and food were great. Everything went very quickly, despite the many guests. So we had a successful evening all round. Thank you, we'll be back ;-)

The food was quite good, although the lack of fries made the children sad. Diavolo pizza not very spicy. Good chicken and potatoes. Pleasant garden in the patio. The service was partly nice - one lady probably doesn't like foreigners, but the other one was polite. You can pay by card and the restaurant opens at 4 p.m.

We were here 3 times in a row during our vacation in Bad Schandau. The food was consistently delicious. But the high price is worth it. It's just not 08-15. The staff is flexible and always friendly with and especially without a reservation. The courtyard was busy every evening. Lovely to sit there. The drink order came after a few minutes and the food felt like less than 10 minutes. Really hungry after the hikes, really good. Overall, highly recommended!

Salad was fresh, and the red currant dressing was perfect. Pizza was very good with an excellent crust and the Diabolo was the first I've had in Germany that was actually spicy. The kellerbier on tap was excellent. Other members of our party enjoyed their pizzas and salads. Staff were a bit stressed but efficient.

Super poor experience, the food was not homemade and tasted like frozen food. On top of that, a grumpy and rude waiter. Very expensive compared to the incredibly poor quality. If I could give 0 stars it got it.

Good place to eat, nothing special but a good place.

Very slow service, seemed like we weren't welcome at all. We waited for almost 1 hour and the employees were just chatting. The prices were no longer reasonable (2 euros more expensive). The employees seemed like they didn't want to work there anymore and treated the guests that way. We ordered pizzas there and the dough wasn't even cooked. At least we (probably) won't eat there again and advise everyone else not to.

Not recommendable. Waitresses unfriendly and unmotivated. Pizza tasted like it came from the freezer, the pasta dishes were okay, but the price overall is too high for snack bar quality (although every snack bar makes it with more heart).

Central location, nice backyard atmosphere, friendly service, but - over cooked pasta with bland sauce, mediocre pizza, and a red wine with a taste of a sour cheap wine. Not a dinner we enjoyed.

The courtyard is actually quite beautiful. My wife had pizza, which wasn't great. Could have been from the freezer section of the supermarket. I had the dish of the day, herring with fried potatoes. The herring was indeed fresh, quite small and buried under a mountain of onions. The fried potatoes and bacon cubes were more or less burnt. Service ok.

We had pizza and gnocchi The pizza dough was undercooked and only slightly browned - really not tasty. The gnocci were in the water for too long and were completely overcooked. Unfortunately, we had to tell our waitress that she didn't feel like having guests at all - unfortunately, it's a shame. The ambience in the sunny inner courtyard, on the other hand, is really great! But all in all we will probably never go there again.

Zum Mittagessen bestellte ich Spargel mit Sauce Hollandaise, und obwohl Schinken nicht auf der Speisekarte stand, sorgte die Kellnerin dafür in der Küche. Der Spargel war phänomenal zubereitet, ein tolles kulinarisches Erlebnis!

We had dinner here with the family. The restaurant is relatively small, which is why the tables are rather close together. There is no activity for the children (at least not found). We were initially put off by the prices (penne chicken around €20), but the dishes were something special. I had sweet potato coconut soup as a starter and penne chicken as the main course and both were really very tasty and not standard food. There was a lot to choose from, especially when it came to vegetarian dishes.

We stopped by in the afternoon without a reservation and got a seat in the courtyard in sunny weather. It was nice and quiet there. The food 1x mayor piece 1x Pasta Mediterranean It was very tasty and freshly prepared. The service was totally friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended and after visiting several restaurants in the area, THE best!

Pike perch fillet with asparagus was good. Good selection, you can tell they're in a bit of a hurry for the next one to arrive. That makes it a little less comfortable

Great service, nice and courteous service. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The portions of the starter and main course were very large and visually very appealing.

Friendly service at the top level. Despite the high occupancy, meals were prepared quickly. Tastes very good. The relatively high prices are a small, bland aftertaste. There are many other restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

A more than excellent restaurant in the center of Bad Schandau. The service is very, very fast, and the meals are very tasteful and delicious. We have been there several times in a row in May 2024. Good prices, even better quality. Remember to make a reservation, it is often full!

The food and ambience were generally okay, although the potatoes were warmed up and not fresh, rather questionable for the price. When we made the reservation by phone, we were informed that due to space constraints, our dog could not be taken indoors, only outside. In the evening there was no restaurant in the courtyard due to the weather, so we inevitably sat inside without a dog. As a matter of course, to our great surprise, a couple with a dog of similar size was seated in the fully occupied restaurant, while our dog waited in the hotel and was not with his family.

Great atmosphere with a cozy outdoor area in a courtyard. Excellent service and the food was absolutely convincing. I chose the seasonal pasta with asparagus tips. It tasted excellent. Tender peaks and a delicious sauce. We'll definitely come back.

I have to say that one of the waitresses was very unfriendly and challenging. We had the feeling of not being welcome. But the other two were very nice. The food didn't taste like it was homemade. Very expensive for little quality. We can't find a way back here.

Service was sometimes unfriendly, dismissive and cheeky. Pizza like from the wholesale market. Poor quality for the price. Food tasted like it had been warmed in the microwave We won't eat here again.

All in all a perfect concept. The food is delicious, the service is quick and friendly, but you should make a reservation in advance as it is always busy.

Very friendly and fast service. Went there twice during our vacation and never had to wait long for our food. The younger guests are also well looked after (high chairs and toys as well as a selection of meals for children are available). Reservation recommended as it is very busy.

Looks nice, both the food and the restaurant. Unfortunately the plaice was burnt, the potatoes were floury and not quite cooked, the asparagus was also not cooked and the hollandaise was out of the bag. but it all looked nice! The kitchen may have just had a bad day, the service was okay and the outside area is protected so that you don't get too much of the village. Went there spontaneously for dinner and absolutely didn't regret it. Sat in the cozy courtyard. Service was super quick and attentive. The food came quickly and was very tasty. Nice selection on the menu and price/performance for the quality is perfect. Definitely not the last time here.

Apparently there is pizza based on an “original Italian recipe”, but the base somehow gave the impression of a frozen ready-made base that was then freshly topped. The pizza was probably simply put in the oven and the grill was turned on briefly at the end. Service was friendly.

The restaurant is in a prime location and has a nice ambience. The pizzas we ordered were very tasty. However, not only the taste but also the price/performance ratio convinced us. If you are looking for an inexpensive and good restaurant, you are in good hands here.

We had a delicious meal in a pleasant atmosphere. Prices according to the location. Marred by a 45 minute wait for food and hard stools. You should avoid the arch area when sitting - risk of injury. Here we would like the employees to speak openly.

After a lovely walk from Papstdorf to Bad Schandau and a ferry crossing, we ended up in Gambrinus. Very nice service. Nice atmosphere. Courtyard terrace. The service was excellent. The best for last. The food was very tasty and we were all full. The prices are reasonable for a tourist hotspot and not exorbitant.

I have never had pizza like this in a restaurant. We strongly believe in frozen goods. The dough base was white and not crispy. In addition, it arrived lukewarm to us. The Bolognese for children was completely overpriced. €9 for a handful of penne. 5 euros would have been ok. But taste good.

Small, cozy inn, some with vaults. The selection of dishes is sufficient and we enjoyed everything. 2024 - we are repeat offenders. Food was again very tasty.

Waren zufällig hier. Es gibt eine kleine übersichtliche aber sehr feine Karte. Wir haben uns für mediterrane Penne entschieden und waren begeistert. Die beste Pasta die wir seit langem gegessen haben. Bei dem Nachtisch folgten wir der Empfehlung der überaus netten Kellnerin: Vanilleeis mit Kürbiskernöl und gerösteten Kürbiskernen. Das war echt der Hammer. So lecker. Wir sind vollauf begeistert und kommen definitiv wieder!

Very tasty food and friendly service would be happy again

I ordered a burger with fries and my wife ordered steak (name was "bürgermeister" something). They overcooked both burger (patties and the buns), fries, and the steak. It is really hard to mess up a burger but I really did not enjoy it. If possible, do not visit the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays. We had to wait 65 minutes for our food and we were not even informed that the food would come this late. It seems the kitchen really cannot handle the number of customers. The lady offered us a complimentary coffee and 6 euros reduction in price (which we politely refused and paid the whole amount, since it was not about getting a reduced price), which was a nice gesture, but at the end of the day it was our last meal in bad schandau and we are leaving on a very negative note.

Top food e.g. goat's cheese gratin with salad...main course lamb steak with fried potatoes and champions to the point...plenty, we found it very tasty. Price performance as you imagine it..

Nice restaurant to feel at home. Service attentive, quick and friendly. With the exception of one small thing (the veal mayor piece came lukewarm, it was definitely due to the sous vide), everything was very tasty and in keeping with the price. We had pizza Margherita as a starter, then the mayor piece as well as all 3 others the wild burger. We left the restaurant full and satisfied. We would come back immediately.

Entrance a bit hidden, but cozy courtyard with a romantic atmosphere. We hadn't booked a table, but we were allowed to sit down after a short time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. But the tall brown-haired waitress in particular was a bomb. You could really feel how much she loves her job. With so much ease and kindness she served us food, asked for drinks and cleaned all the tables immediately (after the guests had left the table). The food was fantastic. It was served hot, was absolutely delicious and we were extremely full. Keep it up! You are a great team.

We visited the location for the first time on vacation and were more than very satisfied. Due to various reports, some of which were very negative, we decided to also give a review. We each ordered the mayor veal steak with fried potatoes and mushrooms. The meat was super tender and tasty. The side dishes went great. There was also the finest wine. Of course, correspondingly higher price range, but definitely within the framework. We had our Bordeaux mastiff (80 kg) with us, which was allowed in without any problems and also got its own bowl with fresh water. The service is attentive and very friendly. All in all, a great way to have a good meal. Thumbs up and definitely worth recommending. Gladly again :)

Good, tasty, large portions here you really get something for your money and everything is very, very tasty. Keep it up, but in times of high energy prices and inflation, most people don't save on costs here.

A very nice restaurant, super friendly service. Thank you for that. There was a small problem when frying the meat, but that doesn't lead to a deduction because we are all human and mistakes can happen.
