I don't usually give one star because it's usually given out of spite for a bad experience, which is overall overrated for the overall experience. But the food here was the worst I've had in years. The seasoned meat was extremely bad in taste, fried potatoes were partly raw and partly burnt, vinegar was added to the carrot salad (why do you put vinegar in a carrot salad? That speaks to me that it is not freshly cooked here). And our cocktails were served warm and in juice glasses. Thank you for nothing, but this only targets tourists who won't come back.

A very atmospheric place. Very nice service. Unfortunately, the food was home-made, and considering the prices we expected something better. Viennese schbycel was an ordinary thick pork chop. A dish with beef and raisins - it should have multi-layered flavors, and the raisins gave sourness instead of sweetness. No possibility to pay by card

Please note that no card payment is possible! This is clearly stated at the entrance and in the menu. Traditional dishes such as goulash, roulade or schnitzel are served here. The food comes quickly. We liked it, there should have been one more dumpling on our plate to fill us up. 😉 In terms of price, it was a little more expensive than the competition. The ambience was okay, a bit noisy due to the main street. We were satisfied with the visit and would come again.

Homemade food is advertised, so it could take longer. We had the Cordon Bleu once and the Wiener Schnitzel once. But it also went past that. The schnitzel is a run-of-the-mill frozen schnitzel with frozen peas and croquettes. The croquettes weren't even cooked through. It was the same with the Cordon Bleu, croquettes weren't cooked through, no sauces, just ketchup and mayo, although the mayo was also sour. The ambience was actually quite nice, but unfortunately the food wasn't recommended!

It's a shame......Unfortunately we can only confirm the positive reviews to a limited extent. It is advertised that everything is freshly prepared. My wife and I had ordered Wiener Schnitzel, the schnitzel... well it was ok, but unfortunately only a little better than in a snack bar. The vegetables... the peas... something like that doesn't work, no taste . .....I was of the opinion that this came straight from the freezer bag, just warmed up briefly and then carelessly put on the plate with it, fries...they were ok so far...just put them next to it and schnitzel slapped on top as a garnish there was frozen herb butter. Well, it's more of a snack bar than a gourmet snack...and the ambience is in need of renovation The service to the guests...not to us...wasn't very friendly either... Last but not least, dear guests...be sure to read the first two pages of the menu...which we haven't read yet, even abroad like Spain France etc. we are responsible for packing the uneaten food...of course only when taken away ...a surcharge of 1 euro will be charged. Something like that is incomprehensible to us. But well, everyone should run their business as they want...we can't recommend the restaurant.

Very poor welcome, no effort to speak a minimum of English, the kitchen is supposed to close at 8:15 p.m. but at 7:50 p.m. they refuse to take you, and what's more, only cash is accepted.

Just good food. Like mother's or grandma's (for the younger ones), decent portions for a fair price. If you don't like frills (such as roasted Jerusalem artichokes with quince jelly) you've come to the right place. Soljanka is Soljanka and Königsberger Klopse is served with potatoes and caper sauce PUNKT.

The Königsberger Klopse taste like it used to be at Mom's! I can highly recommend it. The interior is also very cozy and the staff is incredibly nice and accommodating.

The food was ok. The waitresses, however, were unwelcome, snippy and uninterested in their guests. For heaven's sake they spoke to her...I worked in service myself. Only cash is accepted. You can more than save yourself there. Uninspired, rude and bland. We as Saxons were ashamed of our Norwegian guests; hospitability is different.

The food was delicious. When it comes to staff, the older of the two employees got ripped off. The other was like the weather, extremely rude one moment, then okay after that. But not any more. We sat under the "annex", which had more of the charm of a snack bar.

Addendum regarding the comment from the owner of the "restaurant": The car was parked right next to her overpriced snack bar on the path that leads to the thermal baths and took the purchases to HER STORE!!! worn, on the side where the kitchen is and YOUR STAFF!!! brought in the cheap products. If you can't stand it and are embarrassed about offering poor quality food, then you probably shouldn't do it, unless the good & cheap products taste much better than what you can prepare. Besides, why should the supposedly "older neighbors" need crates of white Gut&Günstig canned food that you happen to offer in their snack bar?! It's disgusting how you can lie like that and not take responsibility for a clearly fraudulent business model! Looking for a place to stop, we happened to walk along the side entrance when new groceries were being delivered and it's all made from Gut&Günstig products! We were shocked when we saw the prices for the canned food afterwards! On top of that, conspiracy ideologies were represented and spread here during the Corona period!

Quaint but somehow it has something! Had bratwurst! Yummy! Enjoy your meal!

So if you want to go to Schlemmer Eck in the evening, don't be surprised that it's full and you have to wait outside until a table becomes available, I don't think it's a bad thing. But the food tasted really great ☺️ and the service was very nice and friendly despite the fact that it was full and they were busy. I can recommend the Schlemmer Eck to everyone.

A restaurant like it was in GDR times, so the atmosphere is a bit rustic and sometimes very cramped. Choice of food is simple, not necessarily Saxon. Prices are rather high for what is on offer. No table reservations, so always a bit hectic at peak times. Staff could be friendlier and more attentive.

Delicious, delicious, delicious...food for the soul just like you know from mom or grandma...my beef roulade with red cabbage, sauce and potatoes was perfect. The meat was buttery soft, the sauce was perfectly seasoned...I was really happy to have such a good meal. My companion saw it the same way. She had schnitzel with potatoes and peas. The ambience was ok, we sat in the winter garden. The toilets were super clean. The waitress friendly, distant. The food came quickly and was definitely freshly prepared, you could taste it. We definitely recommend this restaurant and give it a well-deserved five stars.

I can't give a star for the food. A children's meal with half the amount for 15.90 is outrageous. The normal dish costs €2 more. Fried potatoes cost €2 extra, which then comes to €19.90 for a boulette with peas and fried potatoes. The boulette consisted of so many rolls that it collapsed onto the plate. Never again... I can only warn. The only positive thing was the quick and friendly service.

For a short stop we had very tasty solyanka and penne. Service was friendly and quick. Keep it up.

Food to salty for our taste, but plenty. Very limited vegan options. Fish dish contained pork without beeing mentioned. Opening hours not posted at restaurant, not all dishes available 90min before closing, due to cook beeing tired. Service friendly but whiny and too apologetic. At least one other customer gave negative feedback, which was answered with a "nobody wants to work anymore" explanation. No option to pay cashless.

I can't assess the quality because I refrained from visiting because of the "cash only" payment method. I'm going to Gambrinus now. It's a little more expensive there, but I don't pay cash like that anymore.

Rustic, quaint atmosphere. Great selection of regional dishes. Attentive and friendly service. Price performance ratio is good. If you want to try out traditional regional cuisine, you're in good hands here.

Food: Honest home cooking without a lot of fancy - simply delicious and more than enough. Service: There are no reservations - you come, sit down and are served very quickly. If everything is full, you wait in front of the door until a space becomes available, which never really takes long. In times when people prefer to preemptively reserve 3 restaurants and then simply not show up, this is refreshingly different and works great. The service is absolutely on the ball and always has an overview of who has recently arrived in the house, so that the menu is on the table within a very short time. Ambiance: Located on a corner, directly on the main street, the through traffic is massive and unfortunately audible. Therefore, unfortunately only three stars for the ambience, as the rest of the dining room is nicely furnished, but the visit shouldn't fail because of that :-)

The service was nice, funny and quick. The food came very quickly but the chef must have been in love. Fries and croquettes were completely over salted. The schnitzel and the stuffed schnitzel, however, were perfect! I've never had salted croquettes before, but so we drank one more beer. Otherwise, good, simple, homemade, delicious cuisine. 👍🏻

Unfortunately it is on the thoroughfare. So nothing with a nice atmosphere. Since we were sitting inside, the volume was fine. In our opinion, it is no longer appropriate for us to only be able to pay in cash. But the food was delicious and filling. Just saw it on the bill: The second dish is called Rostbrädl

The Saxon cuisine was super delicious. We were there over Easter. The restaurant was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait. But that was completely okay. Operator & service very friendly and attentive. Thank you.

A very nice restaurant with a nice view of the market square (depending on where you sit) Food was very good and the staff is very friendly. Low waiting times. We were personally lucky enough to get to know the boss, who also took the time to have a nice chat.

Today we visited this small restaurant. The location of the restaurant is a bit inconvenient, but unfortunately that can't be easily changed, so I don't take that as a negative point. The food was delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked beautifully. The meat was tender and juicy. You can't pay by card in a restaurant, which I think is a pretty big problem these days. The fee for the payment terminal or for payment cannot be so high that this option is not available. The restaurant didn't impress with its appearance, but the food saved the impression. Service was 50:50, as one waitress was super nice, but the other was somehow "uncommunicative", maybe just a bad day. I liked that there were many traditional dishes on the menu.

The place made a visual impression - from the outside. Nothing special inside. After reading the reviews, I decided it was a perfect place for a good dinner. Unfortunately. It's already started badly. The MaiTai drink didn't even resemble it and looked as if someone had drank it before. Penne with sauce and ham was dripping with fat and had a cheese-like product on top. In the second dish, some potatoes were not baked at all and others were burnt. The dishes were very average. I won't come back for sure. I feel sorry for the money left there.

A very nice traditional restaurant with Saxon cuisine. It is very pleasant to sit outside with a heat lamp above each table. The service was very attentive but quite stressed. The food came quickly and was very tasty. The vegetarian selection is okay, but could be larger. Unfortunately you can only pay in cash.

Super freundliche Bedienung, sehr leckeres Essen. Wir mussten nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Man muss nur darauf achten, dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist. Ist aber überhaupt kein Problem, da Sparkasse und Volksbank direkt um die Ecke sind.

Ich mag das rustikale Ambiente und das Essen, bei Mutti hätte ich wohl den Teller abgeleckt, es hat so geschmeckt.

Futtern wie bei Muttern. Bodenständige ehrliche Küche, sehr sehr lecker und ein wirklich gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Hierher komme ich sicher wieder.

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern in den Oktoberferien hier zweimal essen. Nettes kleines Lokal mit sehr leckerer Hausmannskost zu humanen Preisen und auch sehr nettem Personal. Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Von uns eine Empfehlung.Pluspunkt: Unsere Hunde durften auch mit in den Gastraum rein.

Möglicherweise bewerten viele diesen Laden, nachdem sie zu tief ins Glas geschaut haben. 5* steht für "außerordentlich gut" und das ist dieser Laden ganz und gar nicht. Der Name "Schlemmer-Eck" impliziert vollen Genuss in gemütlicher Atmosphäre- weit gefehlt. Bei einigen der Antworten hier drängt sich mir der Verdacht auf, der Besitzer des Restaurants begreift seine Gäste als Gegner, die es zu bekämpfen gilt, und nicht als diejenigen, die seine Brötchen bezahlen. Das Küchenpersonal stand um 19:44 Uhr bereits im Feierabendmodus rauchend vor dem Seiteneingang zur Küche und machte auf meine Nachfrage hin mit Nachdruck (mahnende Miene und Zeigefinger auf der Uhr) darauf aufmerksam, dass die Küche um 20 Uhr schließt. Okay, Freundlichkeit ist eine Zier... Bekannt war, dass das Restaurant um 21 Uhr schließt. Daher war es völlig unnötig, dass die Bedienung hier Druck gemacht hat, die das restliche Essen meiner Begleitung (die kurz auf Toilette war) um 20:40 Uhr mit genuscheltem "wird das hier noch gegessen?" abräumen wollte. Wenige Minuten später kam von ihr dann ein "wir müssen jetzt abkassieren, wir schließen um 21 Uhr" - und um 20:45 Uhr legte sie die Kassenbons auf den Tisch. All das mit einem Ausdruck von Stress, Ende, Aus, Feierabend. Klar, 21 Uhr Ende war bekannt. Dennoch ist es respektlos gegenüber den "Gästen" - als Gäste haben wir uns dort überhaupt nicht gefühlt - hier Druck zu machen mit einer Energie von Rausschmiss. Zum Essen kann man nicht viele Worte verlieren: Gulasch versalzen - 16,90 Euro. Cordon bleu - 17,90 Euro. Der Geschmack beider Speisen war übertüncht von Würze (auch bekannt als Speise- oder Suppenwürze). Bier 0,5 Freiberger € 4,80.

Gutes deftiges Essen. Preise für die regionalen Klassiker etwas zu hoch für meinen Geschmack. Hat mich geschmacklich im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in Bad Schandau und Umgebung nicht überzeugt. Für Vegetarier eher ungeeignet. Der Service war aber spitze.

Dieses Restaurant ist empfehlenswert. Gemütlich sowieso, flotte herzliche Bedienung und unglaublich leckeres Essen. DANKE und alles Gute für Sie und Ihr Team.

Nach dem wir einen Irrweg auf uns genommen hatten; Wollten doch nur Schnitzel und Bier, fanden mein Kollege und Ich uns in dieser Herzlichen Gaststätte wieder Essen wurde fix geliefert Freundlich waren die Gastwirte und lecker war's Essen ( waren geneigt ein weiteres zu bestellen) Hinweis hier ist nur Bargeld Zahlung möglich Ansonsten ein schöne Anlaufstelle wenn man hungrig was sucht

Sehr gutes Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Das man nicht mit EC zahlen kann, wird oft genug daraufhin gewiesen, deshalb vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Plätze im Innenbereich sind etwas beengt, aber dennoch gemütlich. Alles in allem... zu empfehlen!

Nettes kleines Restaurant mit durchgehend warmer Küche. Sehr leckeres Essen. Wir hatten den Sauerbraten und die Klopse. Die Bedienung flink und nett.
