Restaurant Tilia in Bad Schandau

This was my second time at Tilia as a tourist and I was completely thrilled again. I always look forward to meeting restaurants where you can simply taste the love for the products. So keep it up🤗👍🏼. The service was once again courteous, friendly and always available with advice and good recommendations. Thanks for that too 😊.

As we all know, the eye eats with us - beautifully and lovingly prepared food! 😍 Very fresh and regional ingredients. The portion is also more than enough. The service first class and attentive. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Extremely good food and wine. The restaurant itself is visually beautifully designed. But you shouldn't stop here straight after the hike 😉 The service was very good. Our online reservation did not arrive at the restaurant even though the system confirmed it. We still got a table and everything was great. Every now and then you got the impression that the staff was a bit stressed.

Great selection of creative cuisine also for vegans. You come from Berlin, perhaps the vegan capital of Europe, and find this excellent vegan culinary delight in, of all places, Bad Schandau in Saxony. Not just putting vegan on the menu - someone has really thought about it here. Compliments to the cuisine and service!

Food itself was okay. Price-performance leaves a lot to be desired. €7.50 for a chicken skewer with 5 small cubes is an outrage that is unparalleled in the region. The skewer was still dry.

Very great restaurant, great selection of food even for vegetarians. Had the lemon chili salmon which was excellent. Great wine selection. Good service. On the whole: great restaurant, highly recommended, gladly again!

Great atmosphere, delicious food and also a good hotel next door

It should be standard practice for a restaurant to have vegetarian dishes on the menu these days... but it isn't. The fact that this restaurant has mostly vegetarian/vegan dishes... also on the notice outside the door... is extraordinary. And what's more, it tasted excellent. 5 out of 5 points.

Super tasty venison with red cabbage, very nice, friendly (boss?) service, tried hard to make everything possible if you have allergies, rather too expensive but that's all the restaurants in the region. Ambience rather old-fashioned and uncomfortable. Food and service definitely top.

Actually great dishes with great recipes and combinations. My venison and red cabbage were too salty and I could only just eat them. Too bad.

A fantastic meal with a wonderfully harmonious ambience. My wife and I went to Tilia for dinner and simply loved the whole visit. The staff and the boss were very friendly, nice and radiated joy. The food was pure enjoyment, which we gave it the highest rating because we hadn't eaten anything better. The dessert rounded off the wonderful evening visit to Tilia. We would be happy to come back on our next trip and are already looking forward to it. Main courses: Fruity arrangement of tender wheat and vegetables accompanied by aubergine, peppers, two types of tomatoes, mint, dried fruit, citrus aromas and walnuts... Sicilian casarecce with pepperoni sautéed in olive oil, stone mushrooms from Bad Gottleuba, zucchini, young spinach, tomatoes, kalamata olives, garlic and pan-roasted pine nuts... Place is quite nice, with a lovely garden. Food is great and the female staff was really nice and welcoming. Sadly, the waiter that was taking our order was rather rude and unprofessional. Guy could use some training. Hard to recommend as the visit was uneven.

Best food in town! The only place we went back for 4 times! Try the Mango Ingwer Gazpacho, something special indeed. Try the nice meat dishes or the Lemon Chilli Lachs (salmon)

One of the best addresses in the city. The service is simply great, the food is outstanding and there is also a great selection for vegetarians, both in terms of taste and variety. On our first evening we happened to go from Ostrau to Bad Schandau via Luther Weg to the first restaurant. And luckily it was Tilia. The waitress was incredibly nice and competent. We sat relaxed on the terrace and when a cigar was lit at the table next to us, the staff were very accommodating. The second time we arrived shortly before the kitchen closed and were still served in a friendly and humorous manner. Both times the service was outstanding and so was the food. We will come back.

Die außergewöhnlich sehr gute Leistung der Küche ist, nach 5 Tagen Aufenthalt wertneutral, als sehr gut zu bewerten. Es werden frische Zutaten aus der Region und natürlich beim Fisch auf beste Qualität eines Händlers des Vertrauens verarbeitet. Mit durchaus originellen Kräutern verarbeitete Gerichte, geben den Speisen einen besonderen Pfiff. In der Menü Karte geben bereits die ersten 3-4 Seiten einen fantastischen Einblick in die Philosophie dieses tollen Restaurants.

Very nice and well-kept hotel with an excellent restaurant. Delicious food for the fine palate, which still fills you up after a nice hike. You can feel that it is important to the service staff that you feel comfortable. We recommend. We'll definitely come back.

We couldn't make our reservation at another restaurant for service reasons (no card payment) so we rescheduled that evening. Luckily we came across the “Restaurant Tilia”. The food here was really delicious. You can tell that he has mastered his craft. The ingredients were fresh and selected, and the composition was also successful. The mango-ginger gaszpacho is highly recommended. The schnitzel was juicy, the mushroom sauce aromatic, and also recommended. The best thing, however, were the potato dippers. Really something new that brings a breath of fresh air to the plate. The staff was very friendly and on point, we never had to wait long, even though the restaurant was busy. Big plus, we were able to pay by card.

We stopped in late in the evening and had a really excellent meal. Sea bream and crispy chicken were our main course and they were really excellently seasoned and served!!! Since we had arrived late at night, I politely asked if the kitchen was still open and if we could order dessert. Our waiter was super friendly and great anyway, he asked directly in the kitchen if it was still possible and that was also a yes. So we also had crème brûlée and white chocolate granache - they made our evening even sweeter. The small, really fine menu and the wine selection are of a high standard and are simply fun to read and of course taste. All in all, this was a really successful evening. Thank you very much for that.

The food here is of a high quality and there are vegetarian/ vegan options as well as meat options. Sadly, our meal was badly affected by the rather odd service we received. I ordered a large salad with extra falafel. The falafel portion was much smaller than I’d anticipated. after bringing our main courses the waitress asked if there was anything she could bring us. My husband had done very nice potato fries with his schnitzel and I asked if I could have a portion with my salad The waitress just said “no, they only come with the schnitzel “. I was really surprised, not something I’ve had refused before! I then asked if I could have some other type of potato or bread- again I was just told “no” It did make us wonder why she’d asked if she could get us anything else! After clearing our main course plates the waitress left us for about 10 minutes, she then came over and again asked if she could get us anything. It was 2 minutes past 9 We asked if we could have the desert menus. In a recurring theme we were told “no” Apparently the kitchen closes at 9 The waitress insisted that we would have been told this ( we hadn’t!) We then asked why she didn’t menus when she cleared from the main course- no answer to that. All in all it was a good example of why a good restaurant isn’t just about the food; good service is crucial also.

Rarely eaten so deliciously! Both vegetarian and meat dishes are highly recommended. We just stumbled upon it by chance and we will definitely repeat it!!

Yesterday my friend and I ate at Tilia after a long hike and I was thrilled, I had the baked vegetables out of the oven and can only recommend them, the tastiest thing I've eaten in a long time, obviously a little more expensive, but it's worth it Anyway, the homemade lemonade also tastes very good. The service was very courteous and friendly and an extra table was made available for us despite the full house. Thank you very much for that :)

This is probably the best restaurant in Bad Schandau. The culinary creations look very nice and creative. It tasted good and a bit "home-made". The service was good and it is very important to make a reservation as it gets full very quickly in the evening.

Very suitable for vegans. Very friendly staff and the food was very tasty. The restaurant is very modernly furnished. The prices are a bit higher class. What was a little strange was that we were there right when the store opened and there was still sweeping and mopping going on. All in all very recommendable.

Many dishes are declared vegan, but I then received a "soy egg" (made from a real egg!!), even though I pointed out twice when ordering that I would like the vegan sushi bowl. As a vegan, you have to check three times to make sure everything is okay. This bowl, which is actually intended as a starter, was okay in terms of price, but the actual main courses are very expensive, around 20 euros for pasta is a considerable price.

The food tastes very tasty and the service is really nice and we always asked if everything was okay and if we wanted anything else. Therefore 5 stars.

The food really tasted exceptionally good, but as a woman who wanted to dine alone in the hotel restaurant, I felt very discriminated against, I was supposed to be given the absolute worst seat opposite the front door, and only through the intercession of other guests did I get a better seat, and I wasn't given any advice when choosing food and drinks, but the atmosphere was otherwise very pleasant.

I didn't eat anything, so no review. Otherwise it was comfortable.

Quick service, they were ready to take us for the late round of dinner. The salmon choice was the best (on a photo), all is tasty till the very last piece. Have tried pear desert as well - Fresh, sweet, autumn aftertaste. Definitely worth visiting. 👌

Wow 😱. Einfach ein mega tolles Essen. Wir haben zu unserem Hochzeitstag mal nicht aufs Geld geschaut und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Sous Vide Flanksteak war der Hammer. Und die Nachspeise rundete alles ab. Chapeau! Aufmerksame, aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienung - top 🔝.

Ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis. Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Als Vegetarier ist es oft nicht so einfach, etwas Tolles zu finden, aber dieses Restaurant hat mich sehr überzeugt. Das ist das beste Restaurant, das ich in den vergangenen Jahren besucht habe. Es stimmte einfach alles. Hervorragendes 3-Gänge-Menü, perfekter Service und auch das Ambiente passte. Ich hatte noch nie das Essen fotografiert, aber hier hatte ich eine Ausnahme gemacht. Ich wollte vegan essen. Es wurde ein veganes Essen angeboten in hervorragender Qualität, Geschmack und Optik

Für uns als Vegetarier war das Tilia auf Anhieb sympathisch. Viele kreative Gerichte ganz ab vom Mainstream. Toll angerichtet, große Portionen, die auch den Preis wert sind. Geschmacklich sehr gut. Der Service war hervorragend: aufmerksam, dezent, freundlich.

Die Rezeption des Hotels hatte uns schon darauf hingewiesen dass das Restaurant um 22:00 Uhr schließt. Als wir dann um 21:30 Uhr versucht haben Dessert zu bestellen hieß es die Küche wäre bereits zu. Unsere Enttäuschung wurde kommentiert mit Die Rezeption hätte uns darauf schließlich auf die Schließzeiten hingewiesen, daher wäre eine Nachfrage ob wir ggf Dessert wollten nicht erforderlich. Insgesamt war dem Service die Unerfahrenheit deutlich anzumerken. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 11 Personen und hatten den Tisch zu 19:30 bestellt. Das Hauptgericht war lecker. Zum Trost sind wir dann noch in die Hotelbar des Hotel Elbresidenz gegangen. Extrem gute Cocktails sehr aufmerksames und sehr professionelles Servicepersonal! Antwort: Danke für die Reaktion auf meine Rückmeldung. Ich bleibe dabei von der Rezeption des Hotels gab es lediglich die Information zur Schließzeit des Restaurants, nicht zur Küche. Wir haben den Hauptgang natürlich gegessen als er kam, so hatten wir in dem Bezug lediglich Einfluss durch unsere Ankunftszeit. Und das war auch der Punkt, den ich künftigen Gästen mitgeben wollte. Wenn die Chance zu Vorspeise und Dessert bestehen soll, ist eine Ankunftszeit um 18:30 spätestens 19:00 Uhr erforderlich. Das es Auswirkungen auf den Service hat, wenn eine Auszubildende, die gerade anfängt als vollwertige Kraft eingesetzt wird, ist verständlich. Da bin ich ganz bei Ihnen. Einschränkungen beim Service in Verbindungen mit steigenden Preisen machen den Restaurantbesuch allerdings nicht attraktiver. Sie haben Recht, 2 Sterne war nicht stimmig. Ich hab’s korrigiert. Für Sie ebenfalls alles Gute.

Geschmacklich & optisch hervorragend, viele Zutaten kommen direkt aus der Region. Diese Qualität schmeckt man. Die Preise sind bei den Portionsgrössen absolut gerechtfertigt.

Goed bier uit de fles (dat gelukkig wel) maar de ‘wurstsalate met baquete’ (a €13) bleek een schaaltje boterhamworst met drie stukjes brood en een verdwaald stukje paprika. Dus zo voelt ‘bekocht worden’.

Ret god mad. Svært at finde i Tyskland. Især laksen var vellavet. Dog var stemningen præget af plastik lamper i disco farver. Havde pyntet med blomst og levende lys.

Kreative Küche mit vielen vegetarischen Gerichten. Unser Quinoa-Gericht schmeckte wirklich gut. Leise Kritik würde ich an der Preisgestaltung üben. Quinoapfanne mit gebackenen Hühnchen für 30 Euro ist meines Erachtens überteuert. Schade, da die Speisekarte wirklich ansprechend ist.

Wir waren während unseres Kurzurlaubes mit unserem Hund hier. Sowohl wir als auch der Hund wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen und aufmerksam bedient. Das Essen war hervorragend, saisonal und toll angerichtet! Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir noch ein 2. Mal hier waren und jederzeit wiederkommen würden!

Ruhige Atmosphäre, wir waren vermutlich die einzigen mit Kindern im Restaurant. Die Auswahl an Speisen war nicht riesig, aber für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei (auch vegetarisch & vegan). Essen war ausgezeichnet und toll angerichtet. Preislich hat sich das widergespiegelt.

Wir waren heute im Restaurant und es gibt dort außerordentlich gutes zubereitetes Essen. Sehr fein und raffiniert, auf dem Teller sind viele bunte und sehr gut abgeschmeckte Zutaten. Für das Auge war das Essen ebenfalls eine Augenweide. Das Personal war absolut auf Zack, freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Ich finde des Preis für die Speisen absolut gerechtfertigt und bin ihn jederzeit bereit, wieder zu bezahlen. Danke für diese tolle Erfahrung!

Wir haben ohne Reservierung einen Tisch bekommen (das super nette Personal hat es möglich gemacht). Das Essen war der Hammer, super lecker und der Preis war auch i.O. Das Personal war aufmerksam und klasse. Wir würden immer wieder hier essen gehen.

Wij hebben hier heel lekker gegeten! Mijn man had de pasta met prosciutto, ikzelf de rumsteak. Beiden waren van goede kwaliteit. Ondanks dat het terras vol zat niet lang moeten wachten. Vriendelijke bediening!

Wir sind seit 4 Tagen in Bad Schandau und haben zum ersten Mal wirklich gut gegessen. Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachtisch waren schön dekoriert, perfekt portioniert und sehr lecker. Der Service war zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Reservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Rund um unseren Aufenthalt im Lindenhof waren wir mehrfach im Restaurant essen und können es nur wärmsten empfehlen. Nettes Personal und sehr leckeres Essen, was fernab des langweiligen Standards liegt. Bei einem Besuch in Bad Schandau kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder, vielen Dank!

Das Essen war super lecker, ich hatte Kräuter Forelle und was mit Fleischeintopf ... war sehr sehr lecker. Jedoch die Bedienung bemerkt nicht, dass die Getränke leer sind. Es dauert einiges an Zeit, bis man bezahlen kann.

Personal scheint blind zu sein. Die Kunden werden ignoriert. Nach einem langen warten haben wir selbst gefragt ob wir noch etwas bestellen können. Ein paar neben uns, welches nach uns kamm wurde schon bedient. Bei uns hieß es sorry aber ich habe Sie nicht gesehen, und wir bedienen nicht mehr(ca 16:30 Uhr). Die anderen zwei Kollegen haben uns auch nicht gesehen.Ist mir noch passiert, sehr komisches verhalten vom Personal.

Wir haben das Lokal heute zum ersten Mal besucht. Wir wurden 30 Minuten lang konsequent ignoriert. Die Frage, ob wir denn was bestellen dürften, wurde verneint. Der Grund: Sie würden wohl keinen mehr bedienen - obwohl Gäste, die nach uns gekommen sind, noch bedient worden sind! Nun fragen wir uns: Warum? Wir wollen keinem was unterstellen - vermuten aber Ausländerfeindlichkeit als Ursache. Sonst finden wir leider keine Erklärung. Einmal und nie wieder!

Es gibt schönere Restaurants, das Essen ist aber ok und der Service freundlich. Der Ligurische Kartoffelsalat war sehr gut.
