Service was lacking even in the smallest details. We didn't like the food. The quality of the fish and meat was average. The ambiance was a hodgepodge!

As I sit here at the corner table, being completely ignored, I am disappointed that I have given this restaurant my time and money. Such aloof snobbery, and a request for bread with dinner is met with a comment that the restaurant has no bread. Those looking for a lovely dining evening should go somewhere else with their euros and hope for more kindness and respect. I expect our bill will be over 100 euros for two, and it was an awful evening! Reply to insolent remark from restaurant: Speaks volumes???!!! Yes, I suppose it does. We were not asking for an unlimited supply, and we would have been pleased to pay a surcharge for our request. The “volumes” spoken are those of an unkind staff which does not practice the common courtesies of customer service in a fine dining establishment. We were treated like children asking for too much candy. This is, indeed, rude and disrespectful treatment. Not subjective at all. Simply factual.

Very delicious food (in my opinion, the best in Bad Schandau). Friendly service. Nice ambiance. The tables could be a bit more spaced in some places.

Everything was wonderful. We received a very friendly welcome, and the service was very attentive. Drinks and food were brought to our table promptly. From the starter to the main course and dessert, everything tasted perfect. Everything was freshly prepared and beautifully presented. A true explosion of flavors. So good that we ate at Tilia again the following day. The menu is so extensive that it's difficult to decide. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Lindenhof and combined this with a visit to the Tilia restaurant. The food was delicious.

The waiters are so rude, wow! We had to sit at two tables with a group of five because he refused to put two tables together. Not recommended for groups of two or more.

A somewhat more upscale restaurant in downtown Bad Schandau. The prices reflect this, but aren't excessive. The lunch specials are a bit more affordable. I particularly liked the selection of vegan dishes. For lunch during the week, the two of us ordered the Thai curry, the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and the raspberry all-purpose dish, and we were delighted with everything. The staff is very friendly, and the service was prompt.

A restaurant that stands out from the typical Saxon cuisine you'd usually find in Bad Schandau. It also offers creative vegetarian options and a very good wine list. It's not exactly cheap, but I highly recommend it!

We even ate here twice on vacation because it was absolutely delicious. The best schnitzel I've ever eaten! And the service was friendly, too, which is unfortunately almost a rarity these days. Definitely recommend it!

A very pleasant atmosphere and super friendly and polite service. Vegans will find well-labeled, delicious dishes here (three courses available in various variations). Dogs are even allowed in the restaurant. It's not a cheap restaurant, but it's totally worth it for the taste and the overall experience.

I ate here tonight and had a tabbouleh bowl with grilled salmon. The tabbouleh was something different – ​​with bulgur and fruit, more sweet than salty, yet slightly tart, like a fresh dressing. Very refreshing! The salmon was perfectly cooked: crispy skin and wonderfully juicy inside. The service was extremely friendly and quick. Overall, a truly great experience – highly recommended!

We had the herb schnitzel and the salmon trout, along with two Köstritzers (Kellerbier and Radler lime), and it was fantastic. Everything was perfectly balanced in terms of flavor, the trout and schnitzel were buttery soft and regional, and the side dishes were cooked to perfection and beautifully served. The portions were well-balanced and satisfied our hiker's hunger. The service was super attentive and entertaining, pouring us Radler from the bottle and refilling it, and asking if everything was OK. In short: nothing was missing! An absolute recommendation. Thank you so much!

The three of us went to the restaurant at 1:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon after hiking. Our food arrived in no time, looked great, and tasted absolutely delicious. The service was also excellent.

We ate here on the 1st night in Bad Schandau based on the preview reviews that they served his vegan options. We were really impressed - lots of vegetarian and vegan options, and all specifically marked. The food was VERY fresh and tasty - the best we've had in the region. The service of the staff was exemplary too. We ended up eating all our evening meals there. We also had breakfasts there as we were staying in the adjoining Lindenhof Hotel with breakfast included and there was a similarly good range of well marked vegan options.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the terrace in beautiful sunshine under an umbrella overlooking the spa gardens. The staff was friendly and always there at the right time. We really liked the menu – a great selection, beautifully presented, and regional ingredients. The food was simply delicious. Even though we were traveling without children, we noticed how family-friendly it was. There are a few play equipment, a board game table, a potty and a high-chair on the toilet, etc. We can wholeheartedly recommend Tilla!

EXCELLENT! The food is truly delicious, with a selection ranging from more modern dishes to classic home-style cooking. There are also plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes that aren't completely boring. The portions are very generous. The outdoor seating is very comfortable in a large garden. The staff is attentive and extremely friendly, which made us feel very comfortable. We would come back anytime!

Simply fantastic! The manager is also incredibly friendly and even works in the service department. The rest of the service is also very friendly and super efficient! We couldn't stop raving about the food (herb schnitzel and dumplings with chanterelle mushrooms), and the wine (rosé and muscatel) also made us absolutely happy. You can only give 5 stars—silly, really—we'll give it 6! Or a 1 with a star. (1*) The top-notch people in the kitchen, service, and manager justify the 3.50 Deutschmarks that it costs more.

Despite being in Germany, we were able to eat at 3 p.m., and surprisingly, the food was excellent. The sea bass and trout millefeuille were simply spectacular. Highly recommended. A pleasant surprise!

What a fantastic experience! I was on a short vacation in Saxon Switzerland and had dinner at this restaurant two days in a row. I was lucky and got a seat without a reservation. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and above all, fast. The menu was brought, my order was taken, and the food and drinks were served at a pace that one doesn't normally expect in restaurants. Before I knew it, a plate of steaming, delicious pasta was in front of me. The explicit vegan and vegetarian labels throughout the menu and the generally vegan-friendly offerings are also great. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two from this. Keep up the good work!

Not everyone can go vegan. We were there on Sunday. The meat dish (sauerbraten with red cabbage and fried dumplings) was okay. There were only three vegan dishes, so we chose the classic again: warm pasta on a salad and vegetable mix. It wasn't great; the sauce/dressing poured over everything was so acidic that I couldn't handle it after half the meal, and I had to eat bread to cover it. The pasta wasn't cooked properly either. But what was really disappointing was that the kitchen didn't get the dressing right. Especially when you add pickled vegetables like olives, capers, and sun-dried tomatoes, etc., to the salad mix. So far, this was the worst "vegan classic" I've had in a restaurant. In such a rather expensive restaurant, this shouldn't really happen. The service was nice and took note of my complaint about the pasta salad, but unfortunately, the kitchen didn't respond at all. At least we weren't charged for the bread. Too bad, customer satisfaction isn't what it's all about. We'll be vacationing in the area again next year, but we won't be eating at Tilia again. Especially since we've had better vegan meals at other nearby restaurants.

Super nice waitress with humor and heart

Overall, the food was very tasty, always stylishly presented. The mango ice cream was unfortunately a bit overpowered with candied orange peel. The lemon risotto with shrimp was a lot of risotto. A varied side dish would have been beneficial. The staff was very friendly and accommodating; they definitely deserve the 5 stars.

I recommend this restaurant because the service was very good and the food was delicious. My grandson was even offered group games, and he said it was the first restaurant where he was offered a group game without asking, so I'm giving it 5 stars. - My grandson (11) was so impressed that he had to write the review himself -

We ate here last week. We had two vegetarian dishes, both of which were delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. We found the interior to be beautiful and cozy.

We were here with 6 adults and 4 children. We felt very welcome. Children's menus and highchairs were available. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

We specifically searched for vegan restaurants in Saxon Switzerland and found Tilia. We were served by the restaurant's management, and it was an absolutely wonderful evening. They offer several vegan dishes (so, you can even choose from!). We had the truffle pasta and the dumplings and thoroughly enjoyed both. Including wine, water, and an appetizer, the price came to around €85. Absolutely fair considering the wonderful atmosphere in the garden terrace. Highly recommended for vegetarians/vegans!

Very delicious food, in our case, Dresdener Sauerbraten. The staff was also accommodating and very friendly. One employee even played with our 1-year-old child while we ate. It's nice to tip. Thanks to the staff!

This was one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. Both inside and outside are very cozy and beautiful. The service was very friendly but not intrusive. All in all, I had a very nice time here.

Three of us went there for lunch today and were not disappointed. The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. Everything was perfect, delicious, and beautifully presented. The prices are reasonable. I particularly recommend the gin salmon and the best salad with leafy greens and fruit. My husband was absolutely thrilled, and the portions were very generous. The food was good; the menu offers a small but authentic selection of regional cuisine. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the wine selection. The first two white wines on the menu were sold out, so we tried the Saxon wines instead. We weren't happy with them; they're just too specific grape varieties, or was it a lack of quality? Therefore, only three stars, also because the price-performance ratio is simply not right. The ambiance was fine, and the service was attentive and friendly.

We ate at Tilia at the beginning and end of our vacation, and both times it was a delight! Regional produce prepared with love and creativity. The service by Petré on May 17th was simply outstanding – it makes dining out truly fun and an experience. We highly recommend it!

A lovely restaurant with a wide selection of vegan dishes. We were so pleased that we ordered several. Everything was incredibly creative, healthy, and delicious. We even ordered the dessert (strawberry crumble with passion fruit sorbet) twice! Thank you very much, we had a wonderful time.

Cannot speak to the food as I was never able to order any. Was assigned a table then waited and waited. 15 m later still no one asked about drinks or food. Decided to leave as I was very hungry. Went to Franz. Within 5 m had My order taken and my drink on the table. Perhaps just unlucky that day.

On our hike through the charming Bad Schandau, the path led us to the hospitable Tilia House, where we stopped for a break. We were welcomed friendly and with careful consideration and the food, made from fine ingredients and prepared with master hands, tasted delicious. The owner, Ms. Steffie Ballschuh, does her work with obvious passion that could be felt in every second. We owe her a special thank you for the spontaneous invitation to the hallowed place of culinary art – the kitchen. Our son, with shining eyes at the secrets of the craft presented, has been dreaming of the path of the cook ever since, and it may well happen that the seeds of a great vocation were planted here. A place that not only nourishes the body, but also the soul.

As a group we got a nice table in the back area here on Saturday evening. The selection of food (vegan, vegetarian, fish/meat) was stunning - nothing “off the shelf” and a very extensive and creative (in the most positive sense) menu. The friendly staff fulfilled all of our wishes without waiting and contributed to an all-round successful evening. We'll definitely be back! Many thanks to the whole Tilia team :-)

We took Easter Sunday as an opportunity and had booked lunch beforehand. When the weather was great, we were offered a table in the garden at short notice, even though we had ordered inside. The service was extremely friendly and eager to make sure we were satisfied. The food was really great and the price/performance ratio was definitely right. The plates were prepared very well and the portion size was also good. Your drinks menu is really big and you have to praise the lemonades and cocktails. The dogs are also welcomed and given water. The adjacent park is a nice change to unwind, especially in summer.

Beautiful garden and a great varied selection of food. I had the linguine with summer truffles and that was really excellent. Truffle not too dominant or sparing, creamy, interesting topping of miso and hazelnuts. For the message a fine rhubarb crumble. Service didn't notice at first and unfortunately there was no oat milk. Declarations in the map help a lot!

Delicious food, but the ambience leaves a lot to be desired. It seems like the restaurant wants to seem more upscale than it is. In addition, the waitress treated us politely but condescendingly from the moment we declined the wine list. The food was excellent and the prices were typical for the area, hence the 4 stars. I would still consider coming back. So you don't really feel comfortable eating.

The food was very tasty and high quality. The finest couscous salad, risotto and corn-fed chicken! Kudos to the kitchen! Price/performance is right! The service was professional. What we also noticed was a lot of vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. And a changing table for our little appendix in the toilet.

We had a delicious dinner here on March 7, 2025. That was great. But unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable because it was too quiet. There was no background music playing; But the comfort was somehow missing. Too bad.

During our winter break we were several times in Talia restaurant, and every time it was wonderful! Products mainly from nicely selected suppliers, solid wine collection and friendly and helpful waiters:) the food was great: we tried (and liked very much!) the duck breast and dessert. The prices are also quite reasonable.

They are non lovely. End up in the Toskana on lovely stake. May be was my big bagpak what is not propriet than you polite lie to me that restaurant is closed, even there where new gests and lots of empty tables.

Were in transit and made a reservation by phone. Everything went well. But it would have been nice if the entrance door had been better marked. A waiter who had a bad cold made our table ready. Maybe sick employees should just stay at home. Food was very good. When paying by card, care was taken to leave a tip.
