Bring plenty of time! We now tried to have a quick meal here. None - the first time it was due to a lack of staff. BVG strike today, no idea. But waiting 1-2 hours for the food is not possible! We were there at 5:00 p.m.
Very tasty authentic food and perfect service in a very nice atmosphere. The choice of wine also leaves nothing to be desired. Absolutely recommended! I'd love to come back.
I booked at Merold because I had read about the strong attention paid to the choice of raw materials and the close collaboration with regional farmers. I knew I would eat well, but honestly this dinner gave me much more: it positively impressed me with flavours, textures and combinations. It is a true celebration of new German cuisine brought to life by chef and restaurateur Jonas Merold who cooks and ferments with a variety of seasonal organic products from Berlin and Brandenburg. The menu consists of “Merold classics” such as fermented Brie or house-made bratwurst, and sharing plates that change seasonally. A truly remarkable food and wine experience with an excellent quality/price ratio in a welcoming, refined and elegant environment. Really good
