Cadore, unchanged ice cream recipes, still good...for decades.
Lovely ambiance, whether in the heart of the old town or inside, authentic Italian...
Beautiful!!!
I like the relaxed atmosphere at Eclipse: friendly customers, authentic food, attentive service, and fair prices. The houmous is very good, with plenty of tahini in it, and the portions are really generous. We also had falafel with a large plate. Many beers are available.
I've been here several times for lunch and it's very good.
Live the fresh dishes, and also the very well made classics.
Service is friendly, fast and welcoming.
Prices are as expected from a restaurant at a top hotel.
I'll for sure be back.
We've been coming to Cupido regularly since 2015 (now occasionally with our children) and have never been disappointed. The quality is consistently very high – you can tell that only the finest products are used here. For us, it's the best Italian restaurant in Munich: authentic, with outstanding cuisine and always perfectly paired wines on the daily menu. Giuseppe truly does a fantastic job. We love coming back!
We've been regulars at Il Veliero for many years, thanks to the good service and a good weekly menu, even though the pandemic has seen some of the prices rise quite significantly. Now the owner has changed, and we can no longer recommend the restaurant at all. Service was so-so, and the friendliness was more functional than authentic. No bread or oil beforehand like before. A plate of pasta was €20 and not exactly generous, and pizza was also almost €20. We also waited over an hour for the food. Our inquiries as to why it was taking so long were met with a shrug. Afterward, no apology or grappa or limoncello as compensation. All in all, this is another restaurant we have to cross off our list, even though there isn't exactly an abundance of culinary options in eastern Munich—unfortunately, nothing here really appeals to us anymore.
The menu is varied - from sashimi to curries and stir-fries; there's a carefully selected drinks list with cocktails, but what this place excels at is the service. I mistakenly ordered the wrong dish, - no problem, the waiter checked with the kitchen, and they unflinchingly prepared my desired dish at a short notice. Thank you, Mr Waiter! The bill for starters, a main course, a bottle of wine (excellently chilled), aperitivos and coffee with whiskey for 3 people came to £224, which is not unreasonable. The atmosphere was great! The room was full of diners, but as the background music was playing at a very low volume, we were easily able to have a conversation within our group of three. In short, the whole experience was just what we wanted, and we will definitely be coming back.
I'm unfortunately disappointed; the first impression was very inviting.
First: the Schrannenburger - the meat tasted of nothing, lacking any seasoning.
The service: friendly, but I would have liked them to check if everything was okay with the food. That's what I've experienced at other restaurants, where they're more on the ball and closer to the guests.
And last but not least, the ambiance: we sat outside quite close together, which wasn't really bad, although, smokers will be pleased to know, smoking is allowed here, much to the chagrin of non-smokers. Eating is no longer enjoyable when you're constantly wafting smoke around your nose.
What a shame!!!
