Perlach Acht in Augsburg

What an experience! In addition to the excellent food, you are greeted by (probably) the friendliest host in Augsburg. We ordered the five-course menu and a bottle of white wine. The white wine also came with a nice story about its name. We were regularly asked whether the intervals between courses were okay or whether we would like more or less time – that was also very thoughtful. With the main course, we had a sip of red wine, which was recommended to us, and this also went perfectly. Since we were ultimately a bit overwhelmed by the five courses, we asked for a "dessert to go," which was no problem. Instead of the ice cream that would have been served with the meal, we were served a delicious sauce that was definitely easier to transport than melted ice cream – again, they were very thoughtful. Finally, the host shook hands with us, which further cemented the positive impression. This won't be the last time we'll be here. Truly worth a visit, as the à la carte dishes aren't even in the high price range, but the taste of our dishes was. Thank you for the lovely evening :)

Excellent food! We decided on Perlach 8 at short notice and were lucky enough to get a table. For the price, there's nothing to complain about with the food. The fillet was excellently cooked (even though we didn't ask for the cusson), the tartare was prepared with exceptionally good quality meat, the Schlipfkrapfen (a kind of doughnut) had a very nice texture, and the sauce was light and rich! Those with sensitive palates should beware, the dishes are well seasoned! Perhaps the saucier was infatuated, but I enjoyed it immensely! The service is solid, good by German standards. Deductions in the B grade—one can always complain—are that no one asked for the cusson, that empty plates sometimes remained for a while, and that one or two plates were then handed across the table to the guests.

We celebrated our wedding at the Perlach Acht restaurant and were absolutely thrilled. Upon our arrival, the host was initially surprised that it wasn't a wedding anniversary—as had been selected in the reservation—but actually our wedding. However, he responded to this situation with absolute professionalism and immediately created a beautiful, festive atmosphere. The food was excellent, of high quality, and perfectly coordinated. The service was also extremely attentive and perfectly timed—we felt completely taken care of. From the outside, Perlach 8 initially appears a bit unassuming, but inside, you'll be surprised by its wonderful interior. The cuisine is very fine and the service is first-class! 👌 Highly recommended!

One of the best addresses in Augsburg for a special dinner. The service is very friendly, and the food is always delicious. Despite the limited menu, there are plenty of options for vegetarians. The Perlach Acht is also competitively priced compared to other Augsburg restaurants. We always enjoy coming back :)

Perlach Acht is truly one of the best restaurants that we've been to in this area of Augsburg! We enjoyed excellent table service, enjoyed the delicious menu choices that we ordered and also very much the quiet atmosphere for the four of us at dinner.

I didn't get to dine at this restaurant. Google says it closes at 11:00 PM. We arrived at 9:30 PM and were told the kitchen was closed. The manager or owner said, very rudely, that this was wrong. That it was due to the website (in German) indicating the kitchen was closed, as if foreign tourists should know they had to go to the website and know German. They should fix Google and be more polite.

We had reserved a table for three for Sunday at 5 p.m. Guests were made to feel very welcome. The food was truly excellent and plentiful. Starter: tartar, main course: sea bream, rolled roast, corn-fed chicken, dessert: panna cotta, espresso afogatto. The atmosphere at this restaurant was very pleasant. An unforgettable evening. We were there last night with friends. The service was warm and very professional, and the wine and food were explained and described. A special recommendation (for me) is the Espresso Affogato. The espresso is poured at the table over a large scoop of vanilla ice cream and tastes excellent. Thank you – we'll be back soon!

The tables in the basement are more like private rooms. We sat upstairs; there's also a terrace. Delicious and interesting dishes.

The chili spaghetti is a dream. A pleasant spiciness, the perfect combination of ingredients, and the creamy sauce. They didn't skimp on the king prawns either. This dish is highly recommended. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Dogs are also welcome. It was my first time eating there and it certainly won't be the last. Keep it up :-)

Great ambience, delicious food, friendly and quick service

This was our first time eating here. We were introduced to this restaurant through the Fine Dine Box. We had reserved a table online in advance. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The restaurant is very comfortably furnished, and there's also an outdoor area for warmer days. We were welcomed with a glass of Prosecco on the house. This was followed by an amuse-bouche, and then our five-course meal. All courses were delicious and excellently prepared. The service was first-class. We will definitely be back.

So small, yet so pleasant. Be it the service, the wine selection, or the dishes! We celebrated and enjoyed the menu, which was exceptionally well-balanced in its composition. (Thus, the quality has remained excellent since at least December 2021.) We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and can warmly recommend this gem to anyone who knows that good food is worth its price.

We ate at Perlach Acht for the first time yesterday. I was surprised that we were the only guests at 7 p.m., but since a friend had recommended the restaurant to me, we sat down. The gazpacho starter was okay, the bruschetta so-so. Then came the main courses: pasta was completely overcooked and all you could taste was onion. I had ordered roast beef, but I got the roast beef with onions. It was supposedly cooked sous vide, but in reality, the meat was completely cooked and tough as a shoe sole, meaning I couldn't even cut it. After complaining, I received the roast beef I originally ordered, this time almost raw, also tough. The salad was wilted, for example, the yellow arugula...inedible. I bitterly regretted eating the meat all night. Now I know why they offered us a shot of schnapps at the end—not for enjoyment, but for disinfection. Conclusion Never eaten so badly and that for 80 €

Small family with a 10 year old child - definitely not from the area- arrived at opening time on a Sunday with no customers in sight except in the open air area. Was told but one server " we have no space for you today.... " and when we showed surprise- "the whole place is reserved". There were no signs reserving any of the seats or indication of a private party- but didn't ask much. One hour later the indoor are was still completely empty- customers were late? Or turned away because of something more unpleasant? In this day and age, we certainly hope not the latter.

My husband proposed to me at Perlach Acht two years ago, and our civil ceremony took place last week. After our breathtaking five-course meal, we simply had to hold our wedding reception there. Mr. Peiker even opened his beautiful terrace outside of opening hours for our intimate group of eight people. Everything was simply perfect. You can tell from Mr. Peiker's demeanor that he's living his dream as a career. He not only helped us organize everything but also accommodated every possible special request. He and his team are simply brilliant, and the kitchen deserves nothing but praise. The food is highly recommended; we will definitely enjoy our future wedding anniversaries with him!

The two of us were at Perlach Acht and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I chose the 5-course menu with wine accompaniment, my wife chose three courses à la carte. Both the food and the wines that went with it were excellent – ​​creative, tasty and beautifully presented. The service was also attentive, friendly and professional. My Xth visit to Perlach eight. Good food, good atmosphere. But the service: the owner without any other service staff was totally overwhelmed - I would have accepted that. But I don't forgive the fact that he was rude and arrogant not only to me but also to other guests. My last meal there.

Ein kleines und sehr feines Lokal. Man erkennt sofort eine Leidenschaft des gesamten Teams fürs Detail. Die Service-Kräfte, die freundlich aber nie aufdringlich sind, die kleine und sehr feine Karte, die eine angenehme Bandbreite an Leckereien bietet und das Küchenteam, das das ganze handwerklich tadellos, geschmacklich mehr als überzeugend umsetzt und optisch ansprechend auf den Teller bringt. Auch die Getränkekarte bietet eine angenehme Auswahl und es wird sich mit Sicherheit für jeden eine passende Begleitung zu seinem Essen finden. Glutenfreie Optionen sind auch möglich, wir hatten ein gutes Gefühl und den Eindruck, dass man dort mit dem Thema umgehen kann. Ein insgesamt sehr schöner Abend. All the good reviews are right! Great value for money. Service friendly, funny and authentic. Great aperitif creations like a Golden Negroni. The ambience is nice, but a bit old school with room for improvement. Still an oasis of well-being in the middle of the city.

Went there for dinner on our wedding day - super sweet, with roses and napkins folded into hearts! The employees are incredibly friendly, very attentive and funny. Had a wonderful evening. The food - great great great! The beef tartare was deliciously seasoned and sufficient as a starter. Main course was super tasty, had the veal fillet and ox cheek - wonderful, super tender, sauce and the gratin went very well with it! Old Viennese baked meat is great! Great wine selection! Allergies are taken into account and are well catered for and alternatives are offered. Thank you - that's not a given. Thanks for the great evening! ♥️

What can I say? An incredible experience and a very friendly boss! I celebrated his 25th birthday with my brother and we have never had such good service in a restaurant. I will definitely come back. Thank you again for this wonderful experience!

Aber wenn Herr Kristof R. nicht über den Tellerrand hinaus sieht kann er das auch nicht wissen. Sorry, aber das musste ich jetzt einmal loswerden. Ich finde das Essen geschmackvoll, ideenreich und total appetitlich angerichtet. Ich gehe sehr viel essen und kenne mich wirklich aus.

Nice little restaurant with a small but nice menu. Food was very tasty. Unfortunately the room was very noisy, a few curtains or soundproof walls/ceilings would certainly help. The waiter was therefore difficult to understand. But overall a recommendation 👍

Das Essen war eigentlich nicht schlecht, bei der Preisklasse kann man aber qualitativ hochwertigere und ausgefeiltere Gerichte erwarten. Viele Gänge wurden im Weckglas serviert, das wirkte ebenfalls etwas einfallslos. Wir hatten das fünf Gänge Menü. Im wesentlichen war alles solide, mehr aber auch nicht. Nur der Hauptgang, ein Kalbsfilet, hatte eine unangenehm pampige Sauce. Eine weitere Komponente des Hauptgerichts waren Maronen in einer viel zu süßen Karamellsauce, die zusätzlich eine zu starke Butternote hatte. Der Service war freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war allerdings nicht okay, daher die Bewertung.

My wife and I went for dinner on Christmas Day. Extremely friendly service. Even my wife's physical limitations were addressed courteously and considerately! Hardly any waiting times. Food and drinks were great! The dishes were very tasteful and lovingly prepared. The visit was a Christmas highlight for us! We can only recommend Perlach Acht and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was not very relaxing. The tables are apparently booked without a time buffer, so we were informed several times during the meal that our table would soon be taken again. This was very disturbing and had a significant impact on the atmosphere. The food was only lukewarm, but tasted okay. Unfortunately, we were no longer allowed to order dessert because our space was needed for the next guests. Overall a disappointing experience.

Food and drinks are good and the atmosphere in the restaurant is welcoming and pleasant. However, during our visit the service decreased significantly towards the end. We were ignored after the main course and therefore didn't order dessert, but paid and left.

Was eating there with several people on Saturday November 30th. Had duck with red cabbage and mini dumplings. The duck was great! Two mini pieces from a duck breast, the red cabbage also tastes something to be desired for the whole €30. Beat me to death. Price not justified! Quite nice to sit on.

Hervorragende Küche! Sehr empfehlenswert, z.B. Ente. Es gibt hier keine riesige Auswahl, wir waren aber Ende November 2024 zu sechst zum Abendessen und alle waren hochzufrieden. Auch die Weinkarte überzeugt! Das Ambiente ist durchschnittlich. Eher ein kleines Restaurant. Die Lüftung ist auf dem neuesten Stand. Die Kleider riechen später nicht nach Essen. The greeting was a bit unfriendly. We were there shortly before the reserved date, which was not appreciated and was announced as such. But the table was free. The food was very tasty, unfortunately the plates were not warmed, which meant that the food was no longer warm. But we had a fun evening in our group, the wine tasted excellent.

Der Service kam uns zunächst etwas flapsig vor, stellte sich allerdings schnell als unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend heraus. Ein Beispiel: Ich hatte eine Vorspeise und damit meine Frau nicht untätig warten musste, gab es für sie einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche. Und das Essen war sensatiinell! Wir waren begeistert. Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so lecker gegessen. Es war gut gewürzt, interessant zusammengestellt und nicht zu sparsam. Am Ende waren wir überrascht, wie günstig das Essen für die Qualität war. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Just a great place. In the middle of the city, the prices are still reasonable and the food is simply excellent. We love coming here and have never been disappointed. Vegetarian as well as meat and fish are offered and there is something for everyone. The map changes constantly and can be viewed online. Simply 5 out of 5 stars because everything was always right. The food was more reminiscent of a pub/inn. Unfortunately, you can't understand the price-performance ratio. The atmosphere is not entirely relaxed and a bit fake, but still polite. Ambiance very bland. Unfortunately it wasn't a culinary experience.

We came especially from Hanover... ;-) And at Perlach 8 we ordered 5 different main courses with 5 people to challenge the kitchen. Which meant that we had 5 sensational dishes on the table - and we would have loved to try them all once. Excellent in terms of presentation and taste, plus a decent, matching selection of open wines. Fine things beforehand and afterwards too. Plus: Personal service from the entire team including the owner. There really isn't anything more!

Nice winding restaurant as it is spread over several floors. Therefore, especially if you have to go to the toilet, you should be able to manage a few steps. Otherwise there is a menu that changes again and again and you can find beautiful creations. Personally, I would have liked the plates for the main course to be warm so that the ingredients on them wouldn't cool down so quickly. But otherwise enjoyed a nice and varied menu.

It was our first (and certainly not the last) time there and we were very impressed. You can eat very good quality, imaginatively prepared and very tasty food there. The menu was sensational and what you get is really more than worth the price! It's nice that there is something like this in Augsburg.

Top location. Dishes implemented with sophistication and imagination. Price/performance ratio absolutely fair. Guest-friendly opening hours. Space in the small inner courtyard with a view of the Perlach Tower. People like to stay there. Absolutely recommended.

Heerlijk gegeten met een lekker wijntje voor een prima prijs. Een klein, gezellig restaurant met een leuk terras. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en er wordt echt tijd voor je genomen. Zelfs nog nieuwe plekken in Augsburg leren kennen waar we zeker nog heen gaan!

This was quite possibly one of the best meals we have ever had and would highly recommend a visit here. We were visiting Augsburg for just a couple of days and as it was our friends birthday and also wedding anniversary decided to eat out and chose Perlach Acht because of it’s ratings. We were NOT disappointed at all even though we were slightly concerned from the underwhelming outside appearance. Sebastian is a fantastic host. We hadn’t booked but were able to sit indoors (rather than the terrace) at a lovely private table. Sebastian explained the menu and made some recommendations. All the meals were first class and superbly presented but of particular note has to be the roast beef (more like steak by the way) and the pistachio crème brûlée. The wine choice is excellent and that too was beautiful. I never normally “gush” so much about a meal but this really deserves the five stars. Well done to Sebastian and his team and thank you for the recommendations of where to visit locally.

We were here for dinner last night. Our reserved table for two people was clean and simply set. The greeting was warm and you felt welcome. The menu is small but very nice. We chose the 5 course menu and were not disappointed. Each course was very lovingly presented and very tastefully prepared. We also found it nice that the owner, who also served us, served each course again with a few explanatory words. Everything was just right, a successful evening that we will definitely repeat soon.

A small but fine and cozy restaurant very close to the Perlach Tower. Small kitchen with freshly prepared dishes and great attention to detail. When the weather was nice, we were in the small outdoor area in a backyard. With a view of the currently (unfortunately) scaffolded top of the Perlach Tower. A bright and cheerful restaurant with a pleasant small outside terrace. Excellent menu with some good alternatives to the more usually choices. I had green gazpacho as a starter and delicious corn-fed chicken breast as a main with pistachio crème brulee to finish. Good value too.

Last minute find based upon other reviews so am paying it forward. We’ve been in Germany for 2 weeks and on our final leg and schnitzel, sausage and sauerbraten has lost its luster. Quick phone call and a reservation is confirmed by Sebastian. Upon arrival we are greeted as if we are regulars. Offered tap water, like they knew us and gently directed us to the “right” bottle of red wine that would expose not hide the flavors of dishes ordered. It is asparagus and raspberry/strawberry season so opted for an asparagus stuffed chicken breast and a beef, marinaded and seasoned, raspberry salad. Spectacular. Turns out Sebastian is the owner and he showed great interest in our travels and accommodated my old man inquisition regarding produce sourcing. A most delightful evening with food, atmosphere and service all hitting highs. One last note it is a very intimate space so call ahead to not be disappointed.

The food was very good, but the blonde waiter and self-proclaimed wine connoisseur was annoyed and visibly overwhelmed. He made this clear every now and then by rolling his eyes. In the end, the bill came within seconds.
