MARY LOU - FEEL GOOD FOOD in Augsburg

I don't like the new concept. Been there often, now there are only 2 vegan dishes, which is why I thought the shop was so cool and special. In my opinion, the court sizes have been significantly reduced. Before these bowls were always really big, but this time it was a small bowl, I had a Thai or curry dish (vegan) that was delicious, my friend had these vegan wrap pieces, which I didn't find so tasty. I think that these wrap pieces also look very mediocre and the taste is not that great either. It's really a shame.

Very good varied wraps and bowls, There could be more dip in the wrap and the cake pieces could be a little larger for the price, But we look forward to trying the good skin dishes more often!

We went there more often a few months ago when the menu was even more extensive. Today we wanted the “same as always” but unfortunately it wasn’t there. We then decided on the Thai curry, a dish with egg, and a children's menu for our son! The bowls were only half full and unfortunately the taste had become very bland. The children's menu had 6 fries and 2 small fillets in it. For the price we have eaten better with you. What's really a shame is that the "old, delicious" salad bowls are no longer available and although the service is very friendly, today was the last time for us!

Tastes are completely different...my conclusion: just try it out and decide for yourself 2nd attempt Apparently we didn't get it Berry oat bowl ordered ingredients actually without walnuts ohh shock there were walnuts in it luckily it doesn't work at all the dish was specifically chosen because of a walnut allergy - that could have been really bad In our opinion, the price/performance ratio doesn't fit, it was very little :( 3 spoonfuls and 2 raspberries and pureed Ordered a Mediterranean bowl - actually - instead there were 2 slices of whole grain bread with vegetables with very cold vegetables :( again, didn't complain because I was hungry and it was already prepared, in the end I'm not like that Ordered 1 cappuccino with oat milk and the 2nd also got oat milk, even though we had explicitly said so. 1x please with oat milk. Apparently Mary Lou isn't supposed to be with us Too bad

"Nudging" - when a card reader persistently asks for a tip immediately after ordering. Of course you have to fetch your own food and clearing up after the meal is also expected. American conditions, which I find absolutely terrible.

Today we were back at Mary Lou after a long time. The menu was completely replaced. The new dishes are MEGA small, tasteless and ordering took a very long time. The service staff are also absolutely unmotivated and not really friendly. The only nice thing here is the ambience, but that doesn't help much either. We definitely won't come again. Absolutely not recommended!!

The new concept is probably a joke, the most delicious dishes are replaced by boring, overpriced and very small dishes. I had to wait 30 minutes for a bowl (consisting only of rice) with a drink. If it had at least tasted good, there was almost no sauce (the sauce was too runny and tasteless). A few months ago they had put a lot of effort into it, both in terms of taste and appearance, it was always a pleasure. This time I was really disappointed and will no longer recommend the store... The conditions were anything but friendly...

We always enjoyed being guests from today onwards for the last time. The great curry dishes have been taken off the menu, why? Now there are only rice bowls? Today we tried the Red Thai Curry. Is there no sauce left in it or was it forgotten? And the children's plate for €5.90 is a bit of a joke... All in all very disappointing, unfortunately nothing for us from today onwards.

Verzehr im Restaurant | Abendessen | 30–40 € War früher öfters dort, war eigentlich immer gut. Jetzt in 2025, neue voll reduzierte Karte. Beide Gerichte voll winzig, auf super flachen Tellern, die es nach mehr aussehen lassen, als es ist. Auch die teuren Getränke in kleineren Gläsern, voll mit Eiswürfeln. Also wer weit über 30 Euro für 2 Gerichte ausgeben will, die nicht mal mehr den Namen "Vorspeise" verdienen und 2 wässrige Limonaden, der ist ab jetzt dort genau richtig und bleibt sicher hungrig und ein schlanker Hipster.

So if you want to spend well over 30 euros on 2 dishes that don't even deserve the name "starter" anymore and 2 watery lemonades, you've come to the right place from now on and you'll definitely stay hungry and a slim hipster.

Ambiance is hip. Service nice and friendly. Food is hit or miss. The bowls and wraps are delicious, the curry is too small for the price and the rice is dry.

Die Einrichtung ist sehr stylisch und wirklich gelungen , was man von der mediterranen Frühstücksbowl nicht sagen kann, das Vollkornbrot war alt , der Rand bereits angetrocknet, das Omelett aus Tetrapackrührei kalt, das einzig heiße waren die aufgewärmten Kartoffeln in der Bowl , kurz um wir waren das erste mal da und werden garantiert nicht wieder kommen . The restaurant offers healthy food that you can order directly at the counter and then pick up yourself. When paying at the terminal, you are only offered the choice between no tip or 10%. I found this restriction to be impractical because, for example, I would like the option to tip 5%. The portions are rather small, but extremely tasty. The dishes are excellently seasoned and of excellent quality. The ambience is also convincing - it is very pleasant and invites you to linger.

No matter what time of day you go to the store, even if it's not busy, you have to wait forever for the simplest order. Average waiting time 30 minutes. For a concept similar to McDonald's, it's simply far too long. You will be served faster at every bakery. I've been there for the last three days and have waited forever every time, be it at breakfast or lunch, it's always the same, just two people in the kitchen frantically making the dishes. It's a shame because the business idea isn't bad, but the processes don't work right from start to finish when I have to wait 45 minutes for two slices of bread and an egg. That's why I won't visit the store again.

Super delicious food for everyone

The “Mary Lou” restaurant explicitly advertises the use of high-quality and fresh products, which raises expectations among potential guests of a culinary sophisticated and hygienically impeccable experience. Unfortunately, in practice there was a blatant contradiction to this self-image, as I discovered during a recent visit. During the visit, a bowl was served that obviously contained moldy ingredients, namely a moldy raspberry. This circumstance not only represents a significant violation of basic hygiene standards, but also undermines the restaurant's claim to value freshness and quality. What was particularly strange, however, was the reaction of the service staff to this incident. Instead of a proper apology or a substantive solution, the affected raspberry was simply replaced with a new one without addressing the scope of the problem. This attitude, which was characterized by indifference to the guest's legitimate concerns, completely lacked professionalism and customer focus. The incidents mentioned not only cast a negative light on the quality assurance of the company, but also suggest a lack of sensitivity in dealing with guests. Such behavior is unacceptable for a restaurant that positions itself as a provider of high-quality cuisine. It remains to be hoped that “Mary Lou” will use this incident as an impetus to significantly improve both the control of the products used and the training of staff. Until then, the restaurant unfortunately cannot be recommended.

We've really enjoyed coming so far. But today was really disappointing. There are only two classic bowls left. Chicken peanut or falafel spicy. So if you are vegetarian you have to tolerate spicy foods. If you want meat, you shouldn't have a peanut allergy. The rice was dry. In general I found the food to be a bit better. Too bad. We probably won't come again.

I've eaten here several times before and it was really great and we were looking forward to it again today... the selection of bowls has become smaller and you can no longer choose the side dishes yourself. The portions have become much smaller and the price has increased. And last but not least, the quality of the food has unfortunately declined significantly. Unfortunately no more soul food 😕

I was obsessed with Mary Rolls from the old menu, and now they've changed it and removed the old ones. I liked that I could mix and match, and now there is only one with chicken. I tried it, and it's not my favorite, so there's nothing there for me anymore (I'm really sad because that was actually my pregnancy craving, haha). The staff is absolutely amazing, always smiling and nice. Good job, guys!

I had a vegetarian falafel roll. It was warm, a little crispy on the outside and tasted good. The salad was also fresh and had a fruity, delicious dressing.

If you don't know exactly what you want, you will receive very friendly advice. You get a “Böppl” that starts beeping when you can pick up your freshly prepared food at the counter. It's really delicious and cozy at MaryLou. It wasn't until much later that I noticed that there were only artificial plants around, but the advantage is that there are no annoying flying objects that can steal your food. You can also sit outside if you don't mind that you're sitting right at the intersection and cars are constantly driving. I'll go back soon. Just because of the non-alcoholic cocktails.

Another restaurant. The breakfast selection of bowls was interesting and in my opinion there was something for everyone. Not a long wait. Unfortunately there is no service, so you have to get the food and drinks yourself and also have to clear them out. The food was nicely presented and tasted good. Unfortunately, staff flexibility is not possible. Also on the note that a birthday child is there. No decoration options, no congratulations. Nice toilets, free parking in front of the door.

Unfortunately, not mine at all. The food was cold and without taste. The rice was extra dry and bland. I can rate the espresso and drinks as positive.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not particularly high. The sandwich with grilled vegetables was not edible because the bread was already very hard. It must have been open for a long time. Unfortunately we didn't like the coffee either, it was very bitter and thin. The prices are relatively cheap and the ambience and furnishings are very nice. When paying, a tip was requested straight away, even though you had to pick up your order yourself with Paiger, carry it to the table and clear it away. I wouldn't recommend it.

I've been there since the beginning and am extremely excited. Go there very regularly. Atmosphere, decor, idea, concept very good and above all the food, extremely tasty, especially the bread, amazing. Never eaten such good and detailed pieces before. All in all a full 5 stars. Then why are there two less? Because the selection of breads has been significantly reduced and my two favorite breads are now gone and because I have the feeling that the curry portions and breads were once larger. At first there was a lot of fruit in the drinks, now there are a few berries and a slice of cucumber. Too bad. Many people probably left the fruit in the glass or didn't finish the curry or bread. Then I understand the reduction. Throwing away food is simply not an option. Maybe it's also to increase profits. For me personally it's just a shame. I also see the point about tipping, which someone criticized, as borderline, but I can't give anything more afterwards. And you can't leave a tip either. When picking up you always have to check carefully whether everything is there. Sometimes you forget to give something.

Absolutely worth a visit. From start to finish, from entrance to toilet, from ceiling to floor, everything was well thought out and harmonious. The food is high quality and fancy. Due to my health and a surgery, I can't eat anything other than fruits and vegetables, so we were looking for a place that had healthy food for me and my family. I'm so glad we discovered Mary Lou. We were shocked that this even existed. From today on this is our restaurant! Oh, I don't even have to write that the vegetables weren't canned, they were actually fresh!

Wanted to try out Mary Lou and picked something up for us today. Unfortunately there was something wrong with all 3 dishes... and we're really not picky... Dish 1 - The bowl with chickpeas etc. Was very tasty but I almost broke my tooth on a black stone... Dish 2 - Potato Bowl. Would have been tastier with potatoes... They were completely missing... Dish 3 - Thai Green Curry. Overall okay but too liquidy and yeah... the taste was probably okay but that's it. If we have another good day, we'll probably give everyone a second chance on site. But at the moment I can't give more than 2 stars and that's more of a goodwill. Unfortunately, it's a shame :/

A modern ambience gives you the opportunity to escape the stress of shopping and everyday life, at least indoors. We were there for breakfast. This can be put together individually and as a menu according to your own wishes for a small additional charge. The ingredients are high quality, coordinated, tasty and attractively presented. The service is friendly and helpful, so tips are welcome. The prices are reasonable, but in the mid to high price segment. You'll feel full afterwards! Unfortunately, all the good things don't come together: A small disadvantage is the visually appealing outdoor area right on the main street.

I was there for the first time recently. The food is very good, but the prices are exorbitantly expensive. A slice of bread with a generous topping €7. The breads are displayed in the refrigerated counter, which I think is set too cold. It was a bit uncomfortable to eat the bread because it was too cold. Unfortunately, you won't get enough of it. The selection is large. I can't say much about the service because we ordered online at the table and picked up the finished food at the counter.

It's self-service and the guy in front of me just types what I tell him into the terminal. That was all his work. And then the requirement to give a tip? Before I even have anything to eat? Assuming I hadn't given anything, how would my food have been prepared? Maybe it would have taken longer? I want to tip when I'm done, not in advance...we won't come back until this is shut down.

I was there with my girls for the first time today. The atmosphere is really really nice. Very comfortable, you can sit nicely. BUT my niece and I ordered an omelet. It was very tasty but unfortunately not enough. There wasn't even bread. We didn't get enough. Coffee was good but also too small. I think there is a lack of breakfast selection. You can't have breakfast there with a whole family, the selection is too small. Please do more! And we noticed that there was an extra charge for cutlery😳 Conclusion: the store is really nice and the parking lot is great too. But we wouldn't go there anymore because we simply don't have the choice

So msl finally managed to go in and not just drive past it. And yes, I can recommend everyone to do the same. Very appealing atmosphere. We were given a very friendly welcome and it was explained to us very well how to put together which dishes. We chose a peanut curry with rice, topped with falafel and chicken. There were also very refreshing drinks. The short wait was definitely worth it. Very aromatic and delicious. There was also dessert. And also very good. We will be back definitely

The coffees were very tasty! It was also great that there was no extra surcharge for plant-based milk! I was disappointed with the selection of cakes and desserts. Just cookies and absolutely overpriced little cakes... I would have expected more. Self-service isn't that great either, but that's the concept there. The ambience is very nice and there are fun floating seats! I would try another test and try something hearty there!

Worth an experience... I went to Mary Lou because I was curious to see what was new to try and was very pleasantly surprised. We tried the mega delicious breads. And it was a taste experience. I will come back and try out the other dishes and am already looking forward to it.

I've wanted to try out the Mary Lou in Lechhausen (Augsburg) for some time, now the time had come. There are enough parking spaces available. I saw a parking space for people with disabilities, maybe there are more. The doors were incredibly difficult to open, I don't know how a wheelchair user or someone with crutches or an arm in a cast can open it alone. Maybe the doors open automatically, but not during my visit. At least parents can relax because their kids can't get lost. In my opinion, the atmosphere is pleasant and manageable. On some tables there were elongated containers with several gas bottles of various spices in them. Unfortunately without labeling, so I couldn't find out the contents. Still a nice decoration, possibly intended as such. Please don't let kids try it, some of the spices smelled very hot. We first sat down and discussed the situation. After a short time we realized that there was no menu, but that the guest had to order directly at the counter. Oh, there's also an ordering part, like at McDonald's. We went back and looked at the dishes. There is every selection of breads, bowls, tortillas, pot'in (also bowls), curry variations, green, yellow, red. With rice, plus toppings for €2.00 - €3.00, such as chicken breast, double vegetables, shrimp, falafel balls. Was surprised at the chicken breast, thought it was vegetarian. However, I didn't bother with it any longer. The guest can also take a menu. I chose the FEEL GOOD MENU, i.e. 1 curry dish + infused water (water with a hint of flavor). So the drink only cost €2.50 instead of €3.90. We also asked the nice gentleman behind the counter a few questions about certain ingredients (lentils) that we had never heard of. He explained to us very patiently. After some consideration, we decided on Yellow India (yellow vegetable curry, Indian vegetables with snow peas, corn & peppers) + Water Lou fresh (lime, kumquat, mint, still water). Cash & card payment possible. When paying by card, the information on the display pops up saying 10% tip, no tip, change tip amount. Given 10%, the polite young man really advised us and waited patiently. However, you won't get your food now, instead you will be given a pager. If this rings, your food is ready. After a short time I picked up the tablet with 4 slanted bowls + 2 drinks on it. It's an art to arrive at the table without spilling half of the contents of your bowl. I put the entire tray under water. It wasn't the drinks, but our Yellow India Curry dish. Since the bowls are flattened at an angle, it is difficult to transport the liquid contents in them without worry. The bowls look great, but are unfortunately a bit impractical. I enjoyed the food, it had a slight spiciness, and the vegetables were tasty. There was something limp in it that I couldn't place, maybe the snow peas that were softly cooked. I don't know it. Portion was also absolutely sufficient. I was a bit disappointed with the drink, I missed the taste. Later we had coffee and tea and there were also desserts. But we were so full that we didn't need it. We also visited the Silent Village. Please go in good time with smaller children, the path is long. It was clean and tidy. Everything you need is there. I can do it e.g. Don't suffer at all when the soap or toilet paper is empty! That's why I always check all the cabins to make sure there are enough of them. Sorry, that's part of it too. Conclusion: it was a nice visit to a delicious restaurant. Won't be my favorite, but I'll definitely eat at Mary Lou if I'm ever in the area again. Take a look and just try it out.
