Mara Restaurant & Hotel in Dießen am Ammersee

We had dinner at the restaurant in the evening: the outdoor atmosphere was lovely, and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, the wait was quite long because it was very busy.

We stopped there on the King Ludwig Trail and slept and ate there. The accommodations are very clean and beautifully furnished. The food was really good, and the staff is friendly and professional. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked very good. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mara Hotel Diessen on our cycling trip and can only warmly recommend this hotel! We would especially like to give a huge shout-out to Gloria – she was incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating. Her attentiveness and service made our stay truly unforgettable. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing break. The location is also ideal for exploring the beautiful surroundings. We celebrated my birthday with about 20 friends at the Mara in Wengen – everyone was thrilled by the friendliness of the team, the quality of the food, the perfect preparation and loving execution, and the young, cheerful atmosphere that radiated to all guests. We'll definitely be back! Ready for Rambo!!!

A short break at Lake Ammersee!😊 We stayed at this lovely hotel for one night for a special occasion. We received a friendly welcome; the staff are super young and extremely attentive. Dinner was delicious; Turkish cuisine has something for everyone, whether meat or vegetarian—we had both—and it was truly authentic, like in a good Turkish restaurant. The coffee and dessert were also great. The rooms were nicely furnished and had everything you need. Unfortunately, it was a bit cold in our room, but the hotel can't do anything about the current weather at the end of May. Breakfast was plentiful; Turkish cuisine offers sausage, salmon, cheese, muesli, vegetables, and lots of fruit. Coffee, water, and orange juice were also served at the table. Overall, it was a nice stay for the price.

We received a very friendly welcome; the rooms were just as they appeared in the photos, and the beds were very comfortable. The food was also excellent.

Really great food. I almost always get the Adana because it's just so unbeatable. Even the rice and extra sauce are great. Better than in Istanbul.

We had dinner at Mara with my family this evening. All I can say is that we haven't eaten as deliciously in a restaurant as we did at Mara in a long time. The food was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned and the side dishes were top notch 🤩 and the meat was superbly prepared. The service and the owner of the hotel (restaurant) were very friendly to us. Personally, I can only warmly recommend Restaurant Mara to everyone. We just had a royal meal at Mara, my expectations were far exceeded. Very tasty Turkish dishes, extremely friendly service and even the boss takes personal care of his guests. We'll be back, that's for sure!

We were here on February 27th. at dinner. Unfortunately, the service wasn't exactly friendly to us. However, the food tasted very good and was beautifully presented. The only thing I was a bit surprised about was the drink because half the glass consisted of ice cubes, which is a bit strange considering the price.

The four of us spontaneously visited for dinner: as always, fantastic combination of seafood, delicious Turkish cuisine and a great selection of wines. Very friendly and courteous service, the children and even the dog really enjoyed it. We love it – again at any time!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of dining at Mara Restaurant, a charming family-run business in Dießen. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered. To shorten the wait for the children's food, the chef personally brought them small things to color. When their pencils became blunt, he even took the time to sit down with us and sharpen them for the children – such a loving and thoughtful gesture! It was immediately apparent that the focus here is not just on good food, but also on hospitality and genuine interest in the guests. The food was outstanding. The dishes are lovingly prepared and presented, fresh, and of high quality. We ate and spent the evening in a small outdoor room. The atmosphere was dreamy. The room was cozy, quiet, and ideal for a relaxing evening. All in all, it was a wonderful evening, and we felt completely at home. I was also looking for a seminar room; here, too, the chef took plenty of time to answer all my questions. I highly recommend this restaurant – both for families and for anyone who wants to spend a relaxing evening with good food.

Mara has been our regular restaurant since it opened. The food is always freshly cooked. It's delicious and always beautifully presented. The staff is always friendly and accommodating.

We have been coming to the Mara for years now, often in larger groups. An extremely friendly staff, you can sit for a longer time without immediately getting the feeling that you would prefer to leave soon after your meal, as is unfortunately the case in so many other restaurants. The food is very tasty and the prices are ok too. and it's also very comfortable to sit there! 100% recommended!

A great restaurant for Turkish specialties

We were guests there with 10 people and we were completely thrilled. I often eat in pubs and restaurants, Turkish not so often, but rarely eaten so well in a cozy atmosphere. This restaurant will have a permanent place in my list.

Authentic Turkish cuisine in a modern Bavarian ambience near Ammersee!

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist zweckmässig - das Restaurant sehr gut! Ich habe an beiden Abenden dort gegessen und war beides Mal begeistert. Die Lage des Hotels, (weit) oberhalb des Ammersees ist gut geeignet für Wanderungen - zum See geht es ziemlich den Berg hinunter. Das Hotel verfügt über keine Lounge, aber man kann sich in das sehr stilvoll eingerichtete und gemütliche Restaurant setzen, das ab 16:00 geöffnet hat. Da das Restaurant so gut ist, ist es sehr besucht. Es ist also nicht sehr angenehm dort zu sitzen, will man nur lesen oder etwas trinken. Da auch im Zimmer kein Sessel vorhanden ist, bleibt nur das Bett als Aufenthaltsort ...

Tolles Restaurant mit sehr guter türkischer Küche und modern bayerischem Ambiente. Sehr nette und engagierte Gastgeber. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Absolutely recommended. Both the restaurant: Very tasty Turkish cuisine! Everything tasted very good on both evenings. The guest rooms are beautifully furnished, lots of dark wood, the stoves are burning. As well as the overnight stay: We had a “tiny” room (No. 4), also beautifully and simply furnished. The breakfast was a positive surprise. One indication is an extensive selection of cheese, a second is the espresso, prepared by the mother of the house on a large gastro espresso machine.

The food was great and the service even better. Everything was taken care of. The owner of the restaurant was also very interested in us having a good stay. Great recommendation!

We were guests for our Engagement Party at the weekend. They organized it very well. However, my first choice will definitely be Mara. The atmosphere was very warm, hot and cold. The appetizers were excellent. My yesterday was wonderful. Rice with roasted shepherd and chicken sauté was very delicious. Afterwards, the Cake and Fruit Show at home was also wonderful. We stayed at this hotel during the wedding. Number 10 is a five star hotel. I think the owner was Ms. Mine, she was very interested, she didn't even charge for breakfast, it was a wedding gift. I recommend it, it's an excellent hotel :)

My wife and I just spent a week staying here and got to enjoy an amazing dinner during our stay along with some friends and family who live locally. Not only was our stay extremely comfortable but the dinner that Rambo and his staff prepared for us consisted of some of the most delicious recipes. I'm really glad we were invited to enjoy a dinner here and Rambo and his staff assisted us having the most memorable vacation ever. Extremely friendly feel to this place. I completely felt at home and we were treated like family for our entire stay.

Very nice service in the restaurant

We spent three nights as a hiking group at the Hotel Mara. Very chic, modern little hotel. Nice boss and friendly staff. The rooms are modern and the bathroom was also quite new. The bed is very comfortable. I can absolutely recommend the breakfast for 14.90 euros per person. Turkish dishes are served in the Mara's restaurant. The menu is extensive and the food is very tasty. A very good price-performance ratio. We will be back.

What a wonderful location! Going to Bavaria to eat Turkish - we didn't really want to do that... But thanks to the fact that everything in Dießen was fully booked due to the pottery market, we decided to cycle to Mara on the spur of the moment and it was the best decision we could have made! We have never received such a warm and attentive welcome anywhere else in the Ammersee area. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. The boss's brother was only there as a substitute, but he served us and entertained us so well that it didn't matter that we shivered a bit in the beer garden. We were well looked after with blankets and raki 😊 Service is still very important here. We can recommend the Mara 100%!

As day-trippers, we had a really delicious meal there. Rarely such a good Turkish restaurant in Germany. Top quality from grill masters from Adana. From starters, via kebaps to desserts. Highly recommended. Always order eggplant (starter) to wrap your kebab. The baklava was just right as was the sütlaç

We were there today for the first time, but definitely not the last time. We first had to wait a few minutes for the table, but this had already been communicated on the phone beforehand...the waiting time was sweetened with a Prosecco! Very attentive, super friendly and quick (also visually 😊😄) staff! The food was very tasty and there was also something for vegetarians.
