JAN in Munich offers a calm, minimalist setting that gently draws your attention to the plate, with the semi‑open kitchen and the motto “labor der liebe” underscoring how much care goes into each dish. The meal opens with the restaurant’s signature Pike Dumpling, where caviar, lobster, brown butter, poached marrow and vin jaune sauces come together in a rich, complex composition that still feels harmonious rather than heavy. Another highlight is the scallop course, served with two distinct sauces that each integrates seamlessly with the shellfish, adding layers of flavour and giving the diner two equally compelling interpretations of the same ingredient.
The menu closes on a refined take of German comfort food: meatloaf, this time made with real rabbit rather than “fake rabbit”, carrying a pleasantly gamey character that pairs beautifully with a local Philipp Kuhn Kirschgarten GG Spätburgunder, whose mushroom‑and‑earth notes echo the dish’s rustic depth. Overall, the experience clearly meets the three‑star “worth a detour” benchmark in terms of concept and execution. However, finding a fish bone in the salmon belly amuse‑bouche is a serious lapse for a restaurant at this level, and it inevitably costs a point when assessing food quality.
I stayed at the "Goldner Stern" in Heilsbronn and, as a solo traveler, felt very welcome, which isn't always the case.
The Spelter family runs the inn with love and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
My single room was excellent and had everything I could wish for, including a balcony with a peaceful view.
I also had breakfast here during my pilgrimage. I especially enjoyed the freshly cut fruit (pomegranate seeds, yum!). The breakfast was plentiful and well-balanced.
This Franconian inn (we're not in Bavaria, after all) is located near the cathedral and is easily accessible.
Highly recommended! 🖼️
Delicious food, large portions, very friendly service, dishes served quickly, and a beautiful decor. Highly recommended! I'm very happy I found this place.
We stumbled upon this place by chance and were very happy with it! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was extremely friendly. Highly recommended! 👍🏻😍
I was very pleasantly surprised. A nice atmosphere, a good selection of food and drinks, including cocktails, and all at very reasonable prices – I honestly hadn't expected that from a golf course restaurant. Add to that friendly staff and a lovely outdoor area when the weather is nice. I highly recommend it.
Excellent Greek restaurant!
Everything was delicious, especially the lamb dish (rack of lamb) – simply outstanding.
Very clean, no unpleasant smells, just the aroma of the food.
Friendly, fast service; you feel like you're dining with friends.
We'll definitely be back!
A true hidden gem in Munich!
Bravi Ragazzi impresses not only with its outstanding Italian cuisine but also with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that's a rare find these days. The wine list is concise yet thoughtfully curated, featuring fine wines from Veneto, Calabria, and Apulia. I was particularly impressed by the "Don Pietro"!
Even the aperitifs reveal the discerning taste of those who create them – a Negroni just like in Rome, and the Calabro Spritz is a real insider favorite. Add to that the attentive service and an owner who clearly lives for his guests.
I simply felt at home here. If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience – with a smile and a hearty "Alla Salute!" – then Bravi Ragazzi is the place for you.
Absolutely delicious! The shawarma spit is homemade, and you can really taste the difference!!
The owner was very friendly, and it's a comfortable place to sit.
Definitely recommend it!! ^^ 😋
