We were looking forward to our stay in a 4-star hotel in the old town of Aschaffenburg, especially since the pictures of the deluxe double room we booked looked promising. Unfortunately, the reality was a bit sobering. First the positive: The staff were consistently friendly, polite and helpful - a big plus that made the stay more pleasant. The breakfast was also clear, but attractively presented and with a focus on avoiding waste, which we really appreciate. However, the rolls were rather mediocre, but overall the offering was fresh and tasty. The location of the hotel is also very good, surrounded by numerous restaurants where you can eat quickly and well. Now to the less pleasant aspects: I would have expected something different from a deluxe room. The chair in the room was very worn, the leather was already peeling off - a clear downer. The view from the window was disappointing as you are looking directly at another building where people work who can see into your room. This takes away all privacy when you open the window to ventilate the stuffy air after the air conditioning turns off at 10 p.m. After that, the room slowly but surely becomes warm, and the noise insulation, which doesn't help much anyway, is then gone. The bathroom was nice, but only almost clean. Apparently the cleaner couldn't reach the top shelves. The built-in rain shower is a real problem for taller people, like me at 1.98 m, as it is simply installed too low. Overall, our stay was okay, but I had higher expectations for a 4-star hotel with a deluxe room. Therefore I give it a total of 3 stars.

Very nice, good service, the food was tasty. What more could you want? We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area again 🙂

We celebrated a big birthday in a relaxed atmosphere. Great food, courteous service and on point! Everyone enjoyed it and we would love to come back!

A pizza to kneel down on - one of the best north of the Alps! The rest of the menu also looks good, but unfortunately I can't try it while this pizza is available. 😉 Service is also great, drinks come quickly and replenishments don't stop there.

Super nice guests, good, simple food, nice mini golf course that is a bit old.

This is where you go if you want to have a nice meal with your friends or family and don't have to worry about whether you're not dressed smart enough. The atmosphere is familiar and people make sure that their guests are well looked after. The coleslaw is just really, really good. Gyros are wonderful and the portions aren't overly large but you'll still feel full. We always enjoy going here and feel very comfortable.

Cozy atmosphere. Covered outside with heat mushrooms, it's great to endure even in Hamburg's bad weather ;-) Food value for money was good to very good. The selection is limited but with kids and me as an "almost everything eater" you'll definitely find something. Nice service proactively took care of everything, including a few extra requests!! You can do it 😀

To be honest, we were a little disappointed with Sunday brunch. The selection was OK, but really not exceptional. Leberkäse, Nuremberger, meatballs and falafel are available in their own counter, which looks as if you could get warm food there. Unfortunately everything was cold. O.g. But at least in our opinion, products should be served warm. I've never seen it like that anywhere. The scrambled eggs were also only lukewarm. The decaffeinated coffee still tastes burnt despite the milk. It was also as loud as a train station the entire time. So really unpleasantly loud. This wasn't due to individual people, but rather to the guest room itself. The ceiling is high and not covered. That may look nice, but there's just nothing that absorbs sound. A tip: if you don't want to disturb the look, there are soundproofing elements that can be mounted on the underside of table tops. Nobody sees them, but it still gets quieter.

Yesterday we went out to eat, which is open on Monday from 4 p.m., and we drank an excellent Spanish red wine. Even though the summer terrace is not usable at the moment due to the rain, we had a nice Radeberger Pils here in the summer. With a beautiful view of Gemünden.
