Eisautomat Waltenhofen in Waltenhofen

We ate at the inn a few days ago. Unfortunately, we have to say that the price-performance ratio is completely unacceptable. The Wiener Schnitzel was okay, but the fries were the cheapest of the cheap. The presentation was absolutely uninspired. Not even a garnish with a bit of parsley on the plate. Ketchup was served in a snack bar cone. When we asked where the salad, which was listed on the menu, was, we were told it was either salad or fries. So we ordered one separately. It was incredibly sour, and it cost almost €7.00! Honestly, the food at our local snack bar tastes better, and they actually make food with care. €80.00 is a hefty price. Everyone has to work hard for their money, and then you expect a decent meal at a restaurant. We went home frustrated and will avoid this place whenever we're back in beautiful Niedersondhofen, even if it were the only one within a 20 km radius. What a shame.

Very nice people and a delicious kebab!

Unfortunately, I have to significantly revise my review from two years ago downwards 🤷‍♀️. Today's burger was cooked through but barely lukewarm, and the cheese slice was already crumbly and not melted. This strongly suggests that the patty and cheese were from the day before. As an apology, they offered a complimentary grappa, but that didn't make it any better. To top it all off, cashless payment wasn't possible either.

A very nice, idyllically located inn with friendly service, a beautiful beer garden, and delicious food. A great playground for the kids. We felt completely at home here and would love to come back.

Delicious food and friendly service. Plus, a lovely sunny terrace to sit outside in the summer. The cakes are also homemade and served in "men's sizes." See you soon :)
