Very long wait for the food without informing the guest. Starter arrived after over an hour. A main course was totally over salted, despite a complaint from the waiter in the kitchen, it was still on the bill and was then not charged after my objection.
In our opinion not recommended.
My partner and I had dinner at this beautiful restaurant in the center of Bamberg. The dishes were excellent and the portions very generous.
When the weather is nice, it's always nice to have dinner in the courtyard; the atmosphere is truly something special. Last but not least, our special thanks go to the staff. Your friendliness makes the experience even more enjoyable every time I reserve a table at this restaurant!
I'd love to come back ☺️
It's the second time that I gladly return to this welcoming restaurant, the owner and staff are very kind, the food is delicious, it's like being at home, highly recommended
Had pizza and lasagna inside (it was still too cold outside). We felt very comfortable and will come again.
Pro: Great pizza, great service, down-to-earth economy, nice beer garden, great children's playground
Cons: No card payment, lasagna was a bit too runny
A culinary masterpiece at Kuro Neko – An experience for gourmets
Kuro Neko in Bamberg elevates Japanese-Franconian cuisine to a whole new level. Anyone seeking a taste explosion should not miss this restaurant.
Upon entering the stylishly decorated restaurant, we were personally greeted by the chef – a detail that underscores the special standards of hospitality. Our waiter, Anton, accompanied us through the evening with outstanding professionalism. He explained each dish with expertise and enthusiasm, always attentive, nimble, and extremely polite.
A first-class menu:
The menu was a culinary journey through refined flavors and extraordinary compositions.
With Kuro Neko, Mr. Schneider has created a culinary oasis that is second to none. The precision and creativity with which each dish is prepared is impressive. The interplay of excellent service, top-quality ingredients, and perfect presentation makes this restaurant a true gem.
Unreserved recommendation for all who want to experience enjoyment at the highest level!
Disappointing, having read the reviews I expected something special.
Service was professional but presentation and taste was extremely underwhelming.
Starter, Carapaccio Gambero Rosso, first taste was intense salt and lemon, luckily the salt was not as intense all over, but unfortunately the lemon and salt overpowered the carapaccio and left me wondering had I ordered vegetarian.
Main course, veal knuckle, cooked really tender and served on a thin bed of puréed potato with sprinkles of caramelised onion but in a deep baking tray like bowl and coated with an over powering thick gravy.
This tasted like pub carvery, perhaps the pasta is better.
