How do I start? The service was very good, attentive and, above all, unobtrusive. It's a relief not to hear the increasingly common question "Is everything okay with you?" That alone created a good atmosphere with very fine and good food. Everything was very good and finely prepared. Good selection of wines. Honestly, as a local, I was wondering why I was here for the first time today? It's probably because we're in Bamberg, but mostly in breweries ;-). See you soon.

The food was very good. The employee was very rude and arrogant. Improving a guest is not possible at all. If he wants a steak "briefly fried", it is impossible to tell him what the term means in English.

So good, we went twice. Menu choice was great and service excellent. Lovely to sit outside and enjoy good food & drink in warm weather.

I had a steak that was very tender and well seasoned, as were the grilled vegetables and the herb butter was great. The mushroom cream at the beginning was also very tasty and the dessert, a chocolate cake, tasted like an original brownie in the USA. The sorbet on top was perfect. Definitely recommended. The waitresses were also very friendly. Keep it up👍

We still had a voucher for the restaurant and redeemed it today. We ate the fried octopus and the fish plate once. As a starter we both had the bruscetta with chanterelles. Both were good choices. The service and the ambience were good. I can clearly recommend Hoffmann's steak and fish.

The most tender fillet around, great service and ambience. We'll be back :)! I thought it was a shame that no rose petals could be decorated for our anniversary. This hasn't always been an issue at other restaurants in the area, but it's a small thing.

Hoffmanns is a great restaurant with high standards. Fans of steak and fish will definitely get their money's worth here. The menu is short and concise. The portions are moderate, but the prices are rather generous There is a large selection of wine and spirits on a separate menu. The outdoor seating is busy. The carpaccio was very tasty and sufficient.

Erste Tischvergabe abends für 2 Stunden ab 17.:30 Uhr. Viel besuchtes Lokal, grosse Terrasse an der Regnitz, dadurch etwas laut. Freundlicher, zügiger Service, tolle Fleischqualität.

Ein Basketballcamp meines Sohnes führte mich in das „fränkische Venedig“ Bamberg und dann an einem Abend in dieses vorzügliche Restaurant. Champignon-Creme als kleiner Gruß aus der Küche, gemischter Salat mit Parmesan als Starter - klingt nicht spektakulär, war aber sehr lecker . Dann ein hervorragendes Rump Steak mit Röstgemüse, Fries, Pfeffersauce - perfekt! Guter Wein und ein schöner Mac Allen. Ein perfekter Abend und alles für (mit sehr gutem tip) 125 EUR. In München zahlt man dafür leicht einen Hunni mehr. Das Hofmanns ist eine Reise wert! Ach ja, der Service war auch prima, wie auch der Platz auf der Terrasse!

Für eine Gruppe von über 50 Personen, perfekte Organisation in der Vorbereitung und Auswahl des Menüs und Gestaltung des Abends! Sehr gutes Essen, tolle Weine, überragender Nachtisch! Alles sehr professionell mit erstklassigen Personal in einem modernen Ambiente. Portionen gut bemessen, Steak wunderbar auf dem Punkt, Fischgerichte sehr fein.

Etwas abseits vom Haupttouristenstrom findet sich dieses in jeder Hinsicht hervorragende Steak- und Fischrestaurant. Man kann gemütlich drinnen oder bei schönem Wetter auch draußen auf der Terrasse sitzen. Unser Besuch zu Viert hat uns wirklich überzeugt. Alle Vorspeisen, die Hauptgänge (insb. das Rinderfilet) und die Desserts (Empfehlung: Schokoküchlein mit himmlisch gutem Himbeersorbet) waren geschmacklich hervorragend und das alles ergänzt mit aufmerksamem und sehr freundlichem Service: Gast, was willst Du mehr ?

At this price per person we had Starters, the penne with beef fillet strips and the 300g rump steak with side dishes and dessert. The food was to die for, the service was super friendly and the evening was relaxed. Table reservation is a must. (Unfortunately, only six stars are possible.) This restaurant is highly recommended.

Went to dinner at Hofmanns today with a larger group. Unfortunately there were a few things to complain about. First of all we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. Almost all of us only ate steak, so you wonder what took so long. The restaurant was only half full. I ordered lobster (€49.-!!!). The lobster itself was well fried, but could have been juicier, but I don't understand why it comes with absolutely dry rice. The pineapple chutney was just pickled pineapple pieces with hardly any liquid. No sauce, nothing... But the crowning glory was the lobster fork. Considering the size of the lobster, toothpicks should have been used instead. The lobster fork was useless. In my opinion, value for money is a disgrace. Surf & Turf for € 39.-!!!. 3x small shrimps and if it comes up 150g fillet ??? My wife didn't want fries but wanted fried vegetables and we had to pay extra for that??? For me it really has a “gschmäckle” here.

I can highly recommend the house steak. As a side dish rosemary potatoes, spinach and grilled vegetables. Everything perfect. The service was also very pleasant. 👍👍👍👍👍

Came with a lot of expectations. Prices are in the upper segment, but in my opinion the portions are not justified given the prices. However, every entrepreneur has their own philosophy on price/performance. Taste: steamed fish with a neutral taste.

Yesterday we were at Hoffmann's with 5 people. Attentive and friendly service, the food was excellent. Fish and meat of excellent quality! I myself had ox cheeks that were just to die for. Reservation online without any problems. That's how gastronomy should be, high praise and keep it up!

Hello from Bamberg. Only 5 stars for Hoffmann's Steak and Fish as there are only five. Otherwise I would give more. A not overly large restaurant but a very nice one. Great ambience, very nice service and food. HAMMER. We didn't have a reservation and got a table for two right in front of the grill station. It was a pleasure to watch the chef prepare and grill the steaks and fish fillets. Your mouth is already watering. We really enjoyed the starter, main and dessert. A clear recommendation from me if you want to eat a very good steak or fish in Bamberg. When it comes to price, everyone has to decide for themselves. It was worth it to us. Thanks to the chefs and waitresses. It was a great evening🙃

Four people were there on a Friday evening and it was completely occupied. This means a reservation is necessary. As a goodie there was baguette with homemade parmesan butter. Was delicious. A wine list was given to us at the table without asking. The service was quick, nice and courteous. We each shared the carpaccio and the bruschetta. Both were very tasty. We waited carefully until we had appetizers and had a little chat, then the food came. It takes about 30 minutes from ordering to the main course. Beef fillets of different cooking levels and sizes were then ordered, as well as the fish plate. Unfortunately, the steak was swapped once, but that wasn't so bad as we could simply swap with each other. Only the size didn't quite fit anymore. The prawns from the fish plate were fried a little too long, but were still good. For dessert we had the cakes. The sorbet was very tasty and the cake itself unfortunately took a little too long in the oven. Unfortunately, the chocolate wasn't quite as liquid as expected. The café tasted different than usual, but delicious. Personally, an espresso would probably have been too bitter for me if the coffee grinding was already set that way. Unless other beans are used. We left around €220 for the lovely evening and, on top of that, a tip. We found it very pleasant and tasty. Gladly again!

We have eaten here several times and have always been very satisfied with the food, the service and the wine selection. The ambience is very appealing both indoors and outdoors. It is definitely one of the best restaurants in Bamberg. Gladly again and again!

Der Besuch hat unsere Erwartungen voll und ganz erfüllt. Der Service war top, das Essen sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Noch schöner wäre es, wenn man ein bisschen mehr Privatsphäre hätte. Die Tische stehen doch recht dicht beieinander. Klasse finden wir die offene Küche.

Super Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir hatten sogar die Möglichkeit uns direkt mit dem Koch auszutauschen und ein paar Tipps beim Grillen abzugreifen.

Besonders hervorheben ist der Service, wirklich perfekt, nicht du aufdringlich, immer im richtigen Moment da, extrem bemüht und gute Empfehlung. So einen erstklassigen Service hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr. Viele Grüße an die Dame und den jungen Mann von Donnerstag Abend! Steak, Beilagen und Dessert ebenfalls ausgezeichnet. Lediglich das Brot bzw. die Bruschetta fand ich leider enttäuschend.

Super lecker, Schade das man bei den Preisen alles einzeln zahlen muss Fleisch für 30€ (Fleisch pur ohen alles + 4€ Süßkartoffel Pommes + 1€ kreuter Butter Mit der ganzen Familie wird es dann halt nicht so günstig.... Wir hatten mit der Familie einen Tisch für eine Familienfeier reserviert. Es war Freitag Abend und das Restaurant gut besucht. Der Service war großartig, freundlich und schnell. Alle Speisen zeitgerecht und super lecker. Wir sind im Hoffmanns noch nie enttäuscht worden.

Bestes Steakhouse in town. Supernette Bedienung. Vanessa ist ein Goldstück. Super Fleischqualität und wechselnde regionale Gerichte und Produkte. Sehr gute Weine und auch bester Fisch. Preis-Leistung ist hervorragend.

Das Angus Filet war perfekt gegrillt, Beilagen superlecker. Wir hatten Pfeffersosse, Bohnen, Pommes u Süßkartoffelpommes. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir waren zu sechst am 22.09.2023 im Restaurant. Das Ambiente ist schön, die Toiletten angenehm sauber und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend, professionell und freundlich. Das Essen war tadellos und ausnahmslos lecker. Alle waren sehr zufrieden. Die Preise sind etwas gehobener würde ich sagen. Aber in diesem Segment und Zeitalter (Inflation, nach Corona usw.) normal. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Ohne Übertreibung das beste Steak, was ich bisher gegessen habe. Der Service ist immer freundlich, schnell und professionell, das Essen immer genau richtig, das Ambiente trotz der gehobenen Küche entspannt. Wir waren gestern 29.07.23 in diesen wunderschönen Restaurant das letzte mal waren wir vor 10 Jahren da, der Servis das Esseb die Ambiente alles ein Traum. Wir werden jetzt definitiv öfter kommen nicht allev10 Jahre.

Sehr lobenswert... Das Restaurant war komplett ausgebucht, aber die nette Kellnerin hat sich bemüht und einen schönen Sitzplatz für uns gefunden und vorbereitet. Wir durften an der "Theke" sitzen und dem mega freundlichen Koch über die Schulter schauen Sehr professionelles Restaurant auf gehobener Küchenqualität. Auch die Chefin ist mega nett und nimmt sich für ein kleines Gespräch Zeit. Essen und Service 1A Macht weiter so Wir kommen gerne wieder ;)
