Wow! What a fantastic place – literally – see the picture 😉!
This is where you'll find how great food, service, hospitality, ambiance, and delicious wine can all come together. It's not a tourist trap in Konstanz and is completely embraced by the locals. How anyone could give it only 4 stars is beyond me.
We came here for dinner with the whole team and were completely satisfied.
The service was attentive and very friendly, the food was freshly prepared, and everyone enjoyed it.
Even for a larger group, everything was perfectly organized – we felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening. We will definitely be back!
Highly recommended! The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Everything I've ordered so far has been incredibly good. The appetizers and other dishes are also highly recommended. A fantastic restaurant all around. ☺️
The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
You can usually pick up your food after a short wait (20-30 minutes).
It's my absolute favorite restaurant, and I'll be back regularly. 🤩
We discovered this restaurant on TikTok and wanted to give it a try. We went in and were seated at a table that wobbled quite a bit and seemed rather makeshift compared to the other tables and chairs. It was a little uncomfortable, but not a disaster. We sat down for the first time and had to wait a very long time for the menus before the owner even noticed us. The same thing happened with taking our order. We waited ages for our drinks, and they all arrived at very long intervals. Some things were even forgotten, which wasn't a big deal, but having to repeat the process several times was a bit of a problem. The food took quite a while, almost two hours until everything arrived. We were given salad first and asked if we could have plates, but we never did. The main courses arrived more than 30 minutes apart; there were nine of us. Most of the others received their food within the first 30 minutes, but my daughter's salmon took its sweet time—almost 30 minutes, and by the time everyone else had finished eating, it was already over. Of course, we asked where it was, and the answer was: "Well, it still needs to be cooked." The plov also took its sweet time. The highlight was, of course, when the salmon finally arrived and the last person was allowed to eat it, but unfortunately, it was raw. Our plates were collected when the plov arrived, and we had asked if we could have new ones. Well, the server said "of course" and disappeared into the restroom, and it then took another 10 minutes before we got any. The food itself wasn't anything spectacular; we saw no reason why it took so long. In the end, we wanted to pay, and we understand that it can be stressful, but to be so rude as to expect us to wait is simply disrespectful for a host. Basically, we can say that the organization was nonexistent, and we say this as people with a lot of experience in the restaurant industry.
I immediately felt at home.
A small, cozy restaurant. Very tastefully decorated.
The waitress was very personable, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive.
Drinks came quickly. We didn't wait long for the food either.
I really enjoyed the baked potato. The salad was also a perfect match. The portion was just right and deliciously filling.
My mother really enjoyed the chicken with pineapple and cheese.
We sat together in a very comfortable atmosphere and simply felt at home.
I can recommend Timo's with a clear conscience and wholeheartedly.
We had a table reservation, which I think was a good idea.
Last night, Kandre's was packed. Service, drinks, food, and entertainment—everything was perfect.
My highlight was the skate wings! Fish lovers should definitely try them. But even those who aren't usually into fish will enjoy them. White flesh and no bones!
