Great food, friendly service and generally just great! Gladly again!

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. The food was okay, but by no means special or tasty. The service was truly annoying; they completely ignored us. We even wanted to order dessert, but the staff's ignorance made it impossible. Overall, we wouldn't recommend it.

We arrived at Stellaz BBQ with a large group and wanted to get a table on site. We were told to wait a moment – ​​which we did, of course. After about five minutes, an employee approached us and asked in an unfriendly tone if we couldn't have called ahead. We explained that we had tried, but no one had answered the phone. She then said – also quite rudely – that we should have made a reservation online. We found this way of dealing with potential guests completely inappropriate. Especially when a larger group is coming, you should make an effort to remain friendly and find a solution – or at least be polite. For us, that was reason enough to leave the place immediately. It's a shame, because we were actually looking forward to a nice evening. Friendliness costs nothing – and in the restaurant industry, it's essential. Maybe the place is doing well enough that they can do without new customers… In any case, we won't be coming back.

We were in the beer garden and enjoyed a truly outstanding, unusual meal. If we could give it a minimal deduction, we would have appreciated more service staff in the beer garden.

Auch nach dem Umzug in die „zweite Reihe“ ist das La Mer weiter einen Besuch wert. Der Service ist unverändert familiär freundlich, die Küche unverändert auf einen Top Niveau, jedenfalls fast. Der neue Gruß aus der Küche, ein Duett von Weiß- und Rotkohl, lässt einen doch etwas ratlos zurück. Als Hauptgang waren das Steak und der Heilbutt grandios gut. Allerdings war beides auch grandios (zu) groß als Portion. Eine Vorspeise wäre Zuviel des guten gewesen, was an und für sich etwas schade ist. Auch etwas Schade ist die Präsentation der Speisekarte auf Tafeln. Eine gute Idee, außer, man muss zur Tafel vor gehen um die Speisekarte in Augenschein zu nehmen. Dann steht man doch etwas verloren im Raum, anstatt entspannt am Tisch die Qual der Wahl zu haben. Das La Mer ist auch „neu“ eine sehr gute Adresse, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Very tasty food, large portions, and a very friendly team. The kitchen is open, so you can see everything. When it's full (always, really), it can get quite loud. I come here regularly and will be happy to come back.
