Food was a taste explosion. I would even give the food a 6/5 in terms of taste. The food was also very nicely served. The service was also very friendly and always asked if it tasted good and if we needed anything else. Prices were a bit expensive but for this palate orgasm it was worth it. The ambience was very nice upstairs in the dining area, but as soon as you go down to the toilet, the climate feels slightly tropical. The toilet is also very small.

Too expensive, inattentive service, too long of a wait for food. A request to let avocado out was answered with “they are already prepared and it is not possible”. Even though we wanted to place the order for the product at that moment. So it doesn't seem to be freshly made. I think the store is currently overrated with 4.6 stars. I wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The store is really nice but spending over 1 hour for 2 sushi rolls is a bit cheeky, plus the high price. We ordered 2 drinks and after 15 minutes the waitress came with a drink and said that the cocktail (Japan fizz) was not available at the moment. Then another 20 minutes passed until the other drink finally came. Everything seems a bit disorganized, the sushi tastes good but I have nothing to complain about.

We celebrated my husband's birthday. The restaurant was a bit disappointing. Overall I would give it 3-3.5 stars. The sushi was good, but the selection was a bit sparse. Half of the rolls were only offered in vegan or vegetarian versions. My roll with salmon and apple was great, my husband's (Tuna spicy) tasted like an old refrigerator. The appetizers and ice cream were good. The ambience was rather mediocre. Downstairs there are toilets and the kitchen. The air there is very humid and hot… it feels like 5-8 degrees higher than above. This makes me wonder how warm it is in the kitchen itself. The staff is very friendly, but the staff serve in private clothing, which creates a very inhomogeneous picture. The fact that a young woman was serving in a very wide and very long cardigan also meant that she occasionally ran it over the guests' shoulders and tables... seemed awkward. The guests tend to be very young. Everyone immediately picks up their cell phone as soon as a dish is brought. We paid €125 with tip for two people (seaweed salad x2, miso soup x2, three small chicken skewers, two rolls, edamame, two ice cream, two Aperol, two beers). Overall it's a mediocre restaurant. I would come in quickly for 10 minutes at lunchtime, but certainly wouldn't spend another evening there.

Absolutely amazing and delicious sushi. I can also absolutely recommend the bao buns. So so delicious. We had this with chicken. For dessert we had mochis & the fried bananas with Nutella. EVERYTHING really good! We would always come back!

We went there later in the evening and had a great meal! Our meal consisted of 3 x Miso Ramen Chicken, Taki Fusion Roll (sushi), Chicken Crunch (sushi) under Edamame. AS drinks we had 2 x Flamingo and a Coconut Kiss. Every single dish and drink was very tasty and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the bistro was pleasant and inviting. Service flop! Unfortunately we waited half an hour for the food even though the shop was empty. And the service was so slow and inattentive that neither drinks could be reordered nor cleared away. Unfortunately, new generation of anti-service... with prices of 16-20€ per sushi selection and 90 euro bill at the end - unsatisfactory! Food had to be shoveled in and could not be enjoyed because we were very hungry and had a follow-up appointment. Ramen was delicious, sushi a bit overdone... All in all, unfortunately not a nice dining experience and the promised name doesn't do it justice, I won't go there again.

We were there at 2 p.m. so there wasn't much going on. The service was very good, the waitress was friendly and accommodating. The sushi was very tasty but not for the small budget. You'll definitely be full and you'll be able to fully enjoy good sushi. Ambience also nicely decorated. All in all it was a great visit, we'll be happy to come back.

I had the vegan Shio Ramen, which really tasted too much like eggs for me, even though there's no egg in it...so if you don't like/eat eggs, definitely choose a different broth! (but the broth is definitely made from soybeans, my friend said the broth tastes like natto)

Wow at the top - yuck at the bottom! We went to Eatsu for the first time yesterday and promised ourselves a nice evening with friends. When we arrived (the restaurant was full), we still had to wait for our table despite having a reservation. When we arrived at the table, we waited quite a long time for our first drink order. Unfortunately the restaurant is a bit too crowded and very noisy. Furthermore, the lighting was unfortunately a bit poor for reading the map. The plastic decorative plant on the table was also in a broken planter. Terrible! After we ordered drinks and food at the same time, my friend discovered that it was dripping from the ceiling (the table was at the very back facing the courtyard). You could also see on the wall that this problem didn't just exist yesterday. This was wet and you could clearly see traces of water running down. We had to wait quite a long time for the sushi we ordered. Admittedly, it was very crowded, but it shouldn't take that long. The sushi was of quite good quality (but not authentic Japanese), although there is clearly better quality in Cologne. Nevertheless: What is particularly noteworthy is that Eatsu is one of the few sushi restaurants in Cologne that offers toro (tuna belly). The food was nicely presented, but there was no place to put the chopsticks. The big awakening, however, came when I went to the toilet: yuck at the top - yuck at the bottom! The stairs down were very slippery and when we reached the bottom we were actually struck by lightning. Not only were the conditions of the toilets (dirty, run down and old) shocking, but you couldn't even lock the ladies' room. There was NO toilet paper (paper dispenser broken), no soap (soap dispenser broken) and no towels or anything similar to dry your hands. Wow! After eating, our plates still hadn't been cleared away after 40 minutes and our drinks had long since been empty, even though we would have liked to have ordered something else. The title "Finest Sushi Bar" is also a bit confusing since you can't sit at the bar at all. On the contrary, there is hardly any space to walk through the passage between the bar (where the waitresses stand and sip their drinks) and the tables. Especially not if you have larger bags with you. Conclusion: the quality of the food was good, the ambience is much more appearance than reality and the service was friendly but slow and inattentive (untrained staff; probably all students). So value for money is questionable. I would recommend Eatsu for take away but wouldn't eat on site again. Especially not if, like us, you want to spend a particularly nice evening. Unfortunately, there is no recommendation from us.

I was here last night with my friends from Istanbul and everyone was absolutely thrilled. The quality and selection of sushi cannot be compared to any other shop. The variety of vegan alternatives and dishes is outstanding. Regardless of the food, the ambience, the crowd and the service were very pleasant. Absolutely clear recommendation!

If I could I would give 0 stars. Despite a reservation there is currently a waiting time of 45!!! minutes. Little waitress super sweet. Current waiting time 1.5 hours and still no food in sight :)

Unfortunately, the experience in your restaurant was characterized by incredibly unfriendly service and a wait of over an hour for the food. Additionally, the order was delivered incorrectly, causing further delay. These inconveniences have led to the impression that the price/performance ratio is not adequate. Unfortunately, there is no recommendation from us.

So...the quality was really okay...but definitely overpriced at €75, I thought that was enormous...the restaurant is run by young people, without any real supervision...including the very young chefs...everything was a bit sloppy...

This is finally a store where it's actually worth leaving a review. Apart from the fact that it's difficult to find a good restaurant in Cologne's city center where you can get proper service, the shop is really classy. Be it service, ambience or the food. Everything was 1A. For me it is a mixture of Asian cuisine with a bit of modern culture, so that you can, for example, eat vegan or eat healthy. My recommendation: If you don't know straight away what you want to order, just ask there. They will create the perfect combination for your taste. For me, the shop is one of the must-eat locations in Cologne.
