The food was to die for, the service was excellent. Any intolerances were taken into account and we had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere is very attractive and lovingly designed. Reservation is recommended. The prices are a bit high, but absolutely reasonable.

I went to the “Al-Amira” restaurant for Iftar with two colleagues. Due to the high demand, the service was overwhelmed. Our table was not prepared and the starters were only served half an hour after breaking the fast, despite us asking several times. The buffet cost €30, but did not meet the expectations of an open buffet. The staff portioned the food for the guests, which meant that cheaper dishes such as rice, potatoes and vine leaves were generously distributed. Higher quality dishes such as meat and grilled dishes were only available in limited quantities and when I asked for them, I was told that they were already sold out. Only after several inquiries and a lengthy discussion about the fact that I had paid full price and expected a corresponding service, meat and grilled chicken were finally brought - but only almost an hour after breaking the fast. It felt more like an afterthought than a regular part of the buffet. What was particularly disappointing: Last Ramadan had already seen similar problems with overbooking, lack of organization and insufficient availability of food. Unfortunately, nothing has changed. In addition, the buffet was not designed for the large number of guests, which led to long waiting times. Overall, the price-performance ratio was not right for me. Conclusion: Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. Since the organizational problems were repeated and the buffet did not offer what was promised, I would not recommend the restaurant - especially during Ramadan.

I found out about this restaurant in the Hamburger Abendblatt and then tried it out. The ambience and service were really, really pleasant. The rooms are a dream and definitely a bit more upscale, which is also reflected in the prices/portions. The service from the team was courteous and extremely friendly. I was treated to champagne because they didn't bring me the card straight away and kept me waiting for ten minutes. A pleasant gesture. I had the Syrian starter specialties as a starter and actually ordered two pieces as a main course because the menu was so tempting. One falafel and one duck breast. I particularly liked the starters, spinach, eggplant, hummus, chickpeas and I actually just forgot the fifth plate. But everything was very tasty. You have to like the two starters, they are prepared and seasoned in Arabic. For example, the duck was in an apricot sauce. I think the falafel had a sesame sauce. Everything is a little special. For dessert I had "Knafe", which was a scoop of (homemade? It tasted fresh) cinnamon ice cream with a cake, which can be compared to the Turkish Künefe. All in all, great. I'll be back.

The location is beautiful, the decor is interesting and the food was excellent and plentiful. The price/performance ratio is right here. The only thing that was unfortunate were the chairs inside. Sitting on bare wood without cushions is uncomfortable if you stay for a long time.

Service ok. Aber wir werden nicht wieder kommen.

"We had a very bad experience at this restaurant. The waiters were inattentive and we had to call them several times to place our order. Even though there were two of us, our dishes were served on a single plate and simply placed on the table as if it was only for one person. There were no napkins and the overall service was very poor. I do not recommend it."
