L'Amira Steindamm in Hamburg

Leider war das Shawarma schlecht. Das Hähnchenfleisch enthielt Knochensplitter und war nicht sauber; ehrlich gesagt waren wir von der Qualität des Essens schockiert. Das Personal hingegen war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, und der Service war ausgezeichnet.

Das beste Restaurant in Hamburg, und wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder. Das gesamte Restaurant ist blitzsauber, und die Mitarbeiter sind hervorragend. Gott segne euch alle.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und die Portion war groß. Ich hatte maklube dajaj mit Aubergine, mein Freund mix Platte. Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen. 🙂

Wir haben L Amira auf unserer Reise von Dänemark nach Hamburg besucht und es war ein wirklich schönes Erlebnis. Das Essen war fantastisch, sehr geschmackvoll und wunderschön angerichtet. Es war deutlich zu erkennen, dass hier großer Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Gleichzeitig wurde das Essen schnell serviert, was das Erlebnis noch angenehmer machte. Auch der Service war erstklassig. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, und wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Alles in allem war es ein sehr positives Erlebnis, und wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Hamburg sind. Leider war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant eine große Enttäuschung. Das Essen entsprach absolut nicht meinen Erwartungen – es war geschmacklich sehr schwach und dafür in keinem Verhältnis zu teuer. Auch der Service ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig. Das Personal war größtenteils unfreundlich und wirkte desinteressiert. Die einzige Ausnahme war ein junger Mitarbeiter, der wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend war – ein großes Lob an ihn, er war der einzige Lichtblick des Abends. Alles in allem kann ich das Restaurant leider nicht weiterempfehlen."

Essen war super lecker. Der Service hätte gern 1-2 mal mehr an den Tisch kommen dürfen. :) Wir wollten zwischendrin eigentlich noch Getränke nachbestellen, mussten jemanden Ran winken und bei einem Gericht wurde Pommes statt Reis gebracht. Der versprochene Ersatzreis wurde leider nicht mehr gebracht und es war auch länger kein Service am Tisch um das noch mal anzusprechen. Da der Tisch aber insgesamt noch anderweitig reichlich gedeckt war wurde der Reis nicht mehr wirklich benötigt. Trotzdem fehlte er offiziell. :) Aber insgesamt waren die Leute super freundlich. Besonders zu empfehlen ist der Frischkäse mit Minze. Und die knusprigen Falafel. Aber auch alles andere war super lecker. Wir kommen noch mal wieder.

Sieht alles lecker aus dort. Aber sehr teuer. Schawarmaspieß gibt es dort nicht, sondern Hähnchenfleisch in großen Behältern ungekühlt gelagert. Das erklärt wohl mein Magen-Darm. Am besten direkt über die Straße zu L'Amira CITY Kirchenallee. DORT bekommt ihr immer die leckersten Schawarma überhaupt!!!

Früher habe ich L'Amira gerne empfohlen. Mittlerweile ist der Service ziemlich unfreundlich, die Qualität des Essens und der verwendeten Öle nicht mehr so hoch wie früher. Früher hat man extra Teller für sein Essen bekommen. Mittlerweile soll man aus den Servierpfannen essen. Brot bekommt man nur auf Nachfrage zum seinem Mazza-Teller. Ladenlokal ist allerdings wie früher und sauber.

Schneller, sehr freundlicher Service, superleckeres Essen, riesige Portionen (must have: Baklava! Egal, wie voll du bist). Sicher die insgesamt aufmerksamsten und ansprechbarsten Servicemitarbeitenden, die ich bisher erlebt habe. Hab mich sehr wohlgefühlt. Danke!

Ich war geschäftlich allein unterwegs und wollte nur schnell und früh zu Abend essen (19 Uhr), einen Lamm-Shawarma-Wrap. Für solche Gerichte gibt es einen Sitzbereich in der Nähe der Küche, nicht im Hauptspeisesaal. Ich erwähne das nur, um zu sagen, dass ich im Hauptspeisesaal nicht das volle Erlebnis hatte. Aber mein Sandwich war super, und alles andere, was ich aus der Küche sah und roch, sah fantastisch aus. Auch das Personal war sehr nett. Normalerweise kosten die Gerichte wohl 20-40 €, also erwartet man an einem vollen Freitagabend nicht viel Aufmerksamkeit, wenn man nur 13 € für ein Sandwich und eine Flasche Limonade ausgibt. Aber sie waren wirklich toll. Wenn Sie mit einem Date in der Stadt sind, kann ich L'Amira wärmstens empfehlen. Tolles Essen und super Atmosphäre.

Ich bin aufgrund der Empfehlung einer Freundin ins L’Amira gegangen und kann ihr nur zustimmen. Ich hatte einen Kebab-Wrap und muss sagen, dass er wahrscheinlich der beste war, den ich je gegessen habe. Ich habe gesehen, wie andere Gerichte aus der Küche kamen, und alles sah köstlich aus. Dieses Restaurant serviert den besten Hummus und Baba Ghanoush, den ich je gegessen habe, und ich war schon in vielen orientalischen Restaurants. Mein Lammkebab war gut, aber anders als die üblichen Lammwürfel. Es war eher wie Lammhackfleisch am Spieß, schmeckte aber hervorragend. Der Service war erstklassig und der Kellner sehr zuvorkommend.

Das Ambiente ist gut. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Mir gefielen die Dekoration und die Musik. Die Atmosphäre war definitiv ein Highlight, mit ansprechender Dekoration 🏮, schöner Musik 🎶 und insgesamt guter Ästhetik ✨. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr aufmerksam und freundlich 😊. Das Essen hingegen war eher durchschnittlich; es war nicht schlecht, aber auch nichts Besonderes 😐. Ich habe hier zu Abend gegessen 🍽️.

Ich hatte die Tajine, auf Wunsch auch mit du Fleisch. Extrem lecker. Eine fantastische Soße. Zartes Fleisch. Leckerer Reis. Allein vom Fladenbrot vorab mit Humus und anderen Soßen kann man sich schon satt essen. Ein wiederkommen ist garantiert.

Das Essen ist super. Das Frühstück sollte aber laut der Webseite 24€ kosten, bezahlt haben wir trotz 30€ weil der Preis auf der Webseite wohl "veraltet ist"

Ich habe heute in diesem Restaurant gefrühstückt und alles war wirklich köstlich. Die Portionen waren großzügig und der Service einfach fantastisch. Ich hatte auch schon vorher das Grillfleisch probiert und es war unglaublich lecker. Besonders positiv aufgefallen ist mir die Sauberkeit der Toiletten und der wunderbare Duft der Raumsprays – etwas, das in den meisten arabischen Restaurants leider fehlt. Leider war das Fleisch nicht vom Spieß, sondern aus der Pfanne. Das kann ich mir auch zu Hause machen. Auch die Bedienung war nicht wirklich nett. Nachdem ich mit Karte bezahlt habe, ist der Kellner sofort weg. Schade, Trinkgeld wollte ich bar geben. Dazu kam es dann natürlich nicht! Auch kein Tschüss oder Ähnliches!

Wir waren in einer kleine Gruppe vor Ort. Leider saßen wir direkt vor dem Wc Bereich, welcher sehr hell beleuchtet ist und natürlich ziemlichen Durchgangsverkehr hat. Dadurch war es nicht ganz so gemütlich. Sowohl im vorderen Bereich als auch im unteren, scheint es wesentlich entspannter zu sein. Das Essen war gut, ich hatte die vegetarische Aubergine mit Reis & auch die anderen Mädels fanden es gut. Der Service war nett.

Frische Zutaten. Ich hatte den Grillteller. Hummus, Kebabs, Hähnchen und Salat waren allesamt ausgezeichnet.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, freundlicher und zugewandter Service, dass Frühstücksbüfett war sehr lecker. So hatte man die Chance, alles zu probieren aus dieser Küche. Dort gab es auch Marmelade und Honig, nur war mir nicht klar, worauf ich dies raufmachen hätte sollen. Der Orangensaft wurde frisch gepresst und war eine leckere Alternative zum Abschluss. Man kann mit Karte bezahlen.

We decided to visit this restaurant based on the many positive reviews. The dining area is very inviting and beautifully decorated in an oriental style. However, the staff wasn't particularly attentive. We had to get menus ourselves, and the food wasn't really impressive or exceptionally good. The meat was a bit too dry for our taste, and you can find much more flavorful restaurants of this type elsewhere for the same price.

I can't me to this place a lot, I ordered a main course to go and had the grilled meat missing, and there was no bread! I tried to call them and couldn't get through. Outrageous! Does this qualify as robbery?

Unfortunately, it was an experience I would never repeat. The portion was small compared to the price, the shawarma seasoning was bad, and the prices were very expensive.

The food is more like fast food, with a very strong Arabic flavor profile, so I would advise against trying it. The seating is very cramped. For this reason, we didn't stay for tea.

The food was very good, but we had to spend 1.5 hours waiting because we waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive, and then the appetizers and main courses were brought all at once even though we hadn't wanted that, which unfortunately put us in a bad mood despite the delicious food.

The food was okay. The mixed grill was excellent, but the tagine was only mediocre, and the bread wasn't fresh, just supermarket quality. The service was poor; perhaps an exception, but my wife found a moldy rubber band in her drink, one of our companions received the wrong food twice, and the appetizer arrived after the main course, so we declined it. On top of that, we had far too little space. They seemed overwhelmed, but they should have communicated that at the beginning; then we would have found a more pleasant place. The prices aren't the cheapest, and the evening certainly didn't justify them.

The welcome was very warm, and the waiter explained everything to us in a friendly and helpful manner. The food was nice and hot and very tasty, and the salad was fresh. We were even given complimentary tea at the end. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is incredibly delicious and flavorful; I haven't tasted anything like it in a long time. The portions are generous, enough for one and a half people. We ordered a mixed grill platter, a Levantine kebab platter, an Arabic shawarma platter, an Arabic falafel platter, and grilled kibbeh. The staff are very friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. An employee named Yamen is very respectful and has excellent manners. I highly recommend it.

While the next table (which arrived and ordered at the same time) had finished half of their main course, our appetizer arrived. The food was okay, nothing particularly outstanding.

Once upon a time, there was a good restaurant… I've known this place for many years and have unfortunately witnessed its gradual decline in quality – in the food, the service, and the atmosphere. What was once one of the best Syrian restaurants in the city is now, sadly, a mere shadow of its former self. This was particularly evident on my last visit: The food (zucchini with boiled yogurt sauce and frikeh, which didn't arrive – instead, I received rice with chicken) was more reminiscent of a botched house dish than restaurant fare. The seating situation was also disappointing: We had to squeeze into a narrow corner at the front with our child, even though the back area was completely empty – the lights were simply off. Other guests who arrived after us suffered the same fate. The service seemed annoyed and stressed; our order was taken hastily, and we got the feeling that no one really had the time or inclination to help. Furthermore, the prices have increased significantly – and this is unfortunately completely disproportionate to the quality offered. Particularly disappointing: They offer shawarma, but there isn't even a proper skewer for it. Instead, the meat is simply pan-fried – a huge difference in taste. It's a real shame – this used to be one of my favorite restaurants. But after this visit, I have to say: That was unfortunately my last. I can no longer recommend this place.

Very tasty and friendly service

The food was too greasy, there was not much shawarma in the roll, no card payments accepted, and it was too loud inside and out. I wanted to enjoy Syrian food, but unfortunately, it was a disaster. Never again.

Unfortunately, my experience at the Al Amir Damascus restaurant was disappointing. The food was only average and not particularly tasty. The staff seemed unflexible and unattentive. I also found a small caterpillar in my salad—that really shouldn't happen in a restaurant. Overall, it wasn't a good experience, and I wouldn't recommend going there again.

We came to Hamburg for vacation and ate at this restaurant. The food was truly excellent! The service and atmosphere were also wonderful. We definitely want to come back!

An absolutely fantastic experience at the L'Amira restaurant on Steindamm! We ordered grilled meat – it was perfectly prepared: fresh, juicy, very flavorful, and of the highest quality. Simply 5 stars for the food! The service was also excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and quick – you immediately feel welcome as a guest. A full 5 stars for that, too! We were equally impressed by the ambiance: cozy, clean, and with a very pleasant atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy yourself. A clear 5 stars here too! Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable visit. I had falafel with feta cheese at Amira Restaurant. The welcome was very friendly, and the place is beautifully decorated. The food was fresh and deliciously prepared, especially the combination of crispy falafel, creamy hummus, fresh salad, and spicy feta cheese was outstanding. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

We had reserved a table for 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening, which was absolutely unnecessary. There were plenty of free tables. Drinks were brought to us without a word, "please" or "thank you." The appetizers (matzah, lamb sausage) were very large and almost qualify as main courses. I was really looking forward to the matzah appetizer plate and wanted to enjoy it. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible, as the main course was brought to the table after we'd already finished half of our meal. Since the table was very small, it was very crowded, not to mention that the main course got cold. The meal itself was okay for us, but here, too, we were looking forward to more flavor explosions from the Syrian spices. This was difficult, however, as the rice, and thus the entire meal, tasted almost exclusively of cinnamon. Cinnamon plays an important role in Syrian cuisine, but perhaps they should work on the dosage. Overall, we were looking forward to a lovely evening, one to enjoy, but unfortunately, it felt more like a "fast-food restaurant." A real shame. One more thing to note: the online menu doesn't match the one on site. Several dishes are missing. We've been to L'Amira in Farmsen several times, and we liked both the service and the food much better there. In Farmsen, they even provide a brief explanation of what's on your plate. Especially at Mazza.

I was in town and was hungry. There are so many restaurants on Steindamm. Today I happened to come here. I ordered the vegetarian tagine with rice. It's absolutely delicious! Thank you so much! I'll be back. The menu reads like a poem from 1001 and One Nights. The restaurant is extremely well-kept and clean, and very family-friendly. Lots of locals. The young waiter is very attentive. At the end of the meal, there's a cup of tea. Thank you so much! I'll be back!

The rooms look very nice with great ceiling lights. I got a table right away. I made a mistake when ordering and received my dish as a smaller appetizer. When I pointed this out, they responded immediately and increased the menu from 6 to 10! Very good service! I don't take that for granted. The taste was very good. I love matzo and having the choice to try so many new dishes. In the end, I was very happy and very, very full! We all enjoyed the food very much. The portions were generous. The service was very friendly and attentive.

I sometimes buy a shawarma to go for €5 and it tastes so delicious and the price is pretty good.
