A few days ago we were at Wüstenrose again and had a large selection of vegetarian mezze. The food was delicious as always. The owner advises and recommends very friendly, the selection of mezze is very varied. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

The food was very good, the owner and head chef made good recommendations. He offered us a mezze starter with 8 bowls, we chose 12 and enjoyed the small dishes. Afterwards there was a main course. For me the minced bulgur balls in yogurt sauce and my companion had the salmon with lime sauce, both of which tasted great! My top favorites of the evening were the falafel balls for the starter (the best I've had so far) and the great rice for my main course, which I could have served on its own - a super well-rounded mixture of spices made it so special for me. The ambience was OK, but I had the feeling of eating at grandma's (which isn't meant negatively, but I would have expected a little more "desert rose"!)

Overwhelming. Fantastic food and outstanding service. For meat lovers, the grilled dishes are of course an absolute highlight, but the vegetarian dishes are even better - in terms of variety and quality. The boss's recommendations are great and reliable. Unreserved recommendation and actually on the must-see list.

The food is always delicious and special - a taste experience! The owner is always very accommodating and has some recommendations for us. The ambience is something different, different than what you are usually used to. I can only recommend it and am looking forward to the new map that has already been announced to us.

Actually, they're trying to be a slightly better place. The dishes are funny and appealing. The table by the window is charming. But The upholstery has worn out. Unfortunately, the music on a continuous loop is just the same. It smelled like a deep fryer and our clothes still smelled like it did two days later. The bread went like this. The creme brulee had quite a bit of flavor and caramel. The matzah (12 bowls) were varied and successful, some were still a little too cold. It's worth a second try, unfortunately not good the first time.

What a great restaurant, here the owner not only serves you but also cooks for you. We made our reservation by phone. Eight of us had different dishes placed in the middle of the table so everyone could try everything. First there was a pomegranate spritzer. Couscous with raisins, tomatoes and almonds, mushroom pan, scamis, beef meatballs, lamb in pomegranate sauce, bread, homemade falafel (super juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside) The food was fresh and very tasty. Since there was a lot left over, we simply packed it up and took it with us. We can highly recommend this restaurant. Small, cozy and familiar. Thank you

The restaurant is worth an experience! The food is well prepared and super tasty. The spices are different than you are used to, but they are well balanced and leave you wanting more. It takes a bit of time to get to grips with the menu, but the friendly staff are happy to help.

Our visit to Wüstenrose started very positively, the waiter welcomed us and recommended the mezze platter. First of all: The mezze were very tasty! But now the big negative point: The service didn't work AT ALL (on a Tuesday!). As soon as the store became full, it was completely overwhelmed. We were ignored by the waiter for 1.5 hours even though we wanted to order the main course. The tables next to us seemed to feel the same way. Even after speaking to the waiter at the counter, who promised to come to the table, nothing happened. We continued to remain unnoticed. We left the restaurant disappointed after our starters. There was no apology or at least the acceptance of our two drinks. There was a complete lack of insight. Unbelievable, we were at a loss for words! The food is recommended, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it or recommend it given this poor service. Too bad!

Very tasty little restaurant in the Fuhle. It's very family-like, the owner's children are sometimes there and play in a separate room. Our daughter thought it was really great. The owner is also very nice and has time for a short conversation, which is much more interesting than standard restaurant small talk. We would love to come back.

Went there as a couple for an anniversary dinner. Jubilar is a vegetarian and so I looked for a suitable restaurant near City Nord and came across Wüsten Rose. We ordered the vegetarian matzah with 8 bowls and each had two large matzahs ​​as the main course. Drunk with pomegranate spritzer. There is no alcohol there, but I don't see that as a problem (although a good wine is certainly part of it for many people). When ordering, the host (owner, chef and waiter all in one, very personable and authentic) gave us advice, so we didn't order directly from the menu. His selection was really first class. Every single component tasted really delicious. By far the best falafel (available with the starter) that I have ever eaten. In the last few weeks I have been to several restaurants in HH, including higher-priced ones. But the Wüsten Rose is my highlight in 2024. We have rarely felt so welcome and I will definitely go there more often. The price for the two of us together was €65, a bargain for what was on offer.

Food, service and ambience worth an absolute 5/5! I visited Wüstenrose for the first time last week and was absolutely thrilled. The owner is the perfect host and the food was great. The card reader didn't work due to internet problems and without any problems I was immediately offered the option to just come in and pay the next day. We will come here more often! (Incidentally, my companion was vegetarian and cannot eat gluten. Despite both aspects, there was a huge selection on the menu)

The most delicious mezze variations, perfectly seasoned falafel, mega spinach (an absolute must), hummus, baba ghanoush and and and. Arabic-style spinach is definitely recommended - my favorite. Batata M' Hammarah also excellent. The texture and style of the fried cauliflower is the best we have ever eaten.

We were at Wüstenrose for the first time two days ago as a business lunch with our team. We received a warm welcome and had a wonderful evening. There was delicious pomegranate spritzer and a great variation of matzah. After we first chose matzah as a starter, we chose more delicious matzah for the main course. Whether vegetarian, meat or fish including the great eggplant dip - everything was very tasteful. You can tell that people cook with love here. We were also given great advice when choosing. Finally there was a mocha with cardamom. Delicious. It was so nice that I reserved a table again with friends and family for the weekend.

First time there and unfortunately awesome. We were there with a group of 12 people and, after arrangement, we were served a buffet with Syrian specialties. Creams, dips and delicious Syrian bread as well as the best falafel I've ever had at Arabesque were part of the starter. In the actual buffet in round 2, other delicacies were brought to the table with beef balls in a delicious tomato sauce, lamb kebab in balsamic sauce, bulgur with garlic and scampi, which allowed us to really enjoy the evening there. Drinks are all non-alcoholic, but the spritzers (pomegranate, elderberry, passion fruit) are absolutely good and delicious. Thanks to the team in the restaurant, nice, friendly and very attentive, we'll be happy to come back sometime.

Today we visited the Wüstenrose restaurant with our regulars from North. A loving, warm welcome, we were treated to many Syrian specialties and were able to get to know Syrian cuisine. Really very good mezze cuisine, but it also has its price. What I find a shame (and which is also the reason why I don't visit the Wüstenrose as often) is the lack of alcohol service. I would like to have a glass of wine with this really good meal. I just miss that.
