The food is really great, everything is very fresh! Unfortunately we had to wait 75 minutes for our sushi... which really messed up our plans for the evening... Several products were also sold out (sweet ginger, tofu, a certain sauce), which limited the vegetarian selection that evening. Otherwise clear recommendation :)
Sushi very tasty. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Ordering problems often occur with delivery times taking too long and even when you call and ask, the order is often forgotten. Orders work online even when the store is closed. You will also receive an order confirmation. Unfortunately, no order comes. Very bad website. This should be programmed correctly so that it is displayed when the store is closed.
When we are in Hamburg, we ALWAYS eat at Yoshi - we love being given the best advice by expert staff in a pleasant atmosphere, getting tips on how to combine, mix, separate certain Japanese specialties in the tastiest way, etc. and always do so in an exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable manner. Then the food: we have the impression that everything is always of the highest quality and tastes extremely delicious and unique. This time we were delighted by the 9-course menu with the combination of traditional and new style dishes - that's actually the reason why I'm finally writing a review! We like to eat well and prefer to choose excellent cuisines for ourselves in Germany. Going out for Japanese food? Only in the Alsterhaus in the Yoshi! Best ever! 😉
A hidden gem in Bad Homburg.
The food is delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and culturally enriching.
The owner is a wonderful lady that cares about her customers - smiley, cheery, and genuine.
As part of our first visit we ordered a sizeable meal which - prepared relatively quickly - was presented on plates and bowls with artwork. As a cherry on top, we received complimentary tea.
Definitly will come back again.
감사합니다!
We waited for half an hour even though it was promised that it would open half an hour ago. The food was surprisingly tasty but the service was quite the opposite, there were delays of over a quarter of an hour and there were problems understanding our orders.
Nori is a small but nice shop. Reservations are recommended as the store is packed.
For a German sushi shop, the sushi was tasty and beautifully presented. The service was quick and nice.
One disadvantage is that you can only pay with cash. But we will definitely come back.
I wonder what genius came up with the idea of introducing the new map. It is totally misleading because the pictures either do not match the description or the dish does not even exist in that form. After placing an incorrect order, the employee behind the counter was kind enough to take a completely new order from me. I couldn't have tolerated the other dish.
Talked to the owner and found out he actually moved to Japan to be a sushi chef. The fact he also speaks perfect Japanese shows he’s experienced. Compared to other restaurant the quality is way better.
The sushi is ok, unfortunately nothing more.
The parts are relatively small. The rice is way too firm and hard. We actually wanted to eat on site, but the atmosphere was anything but inviting. It also smelled extremely like frying fat.
