The sushi here is top-notch—fresh and high-quality, though a bit pricey compared to other spots in the area. That said, you’re paying for excellent ingredients. Service, however, was lacking. It took a while for the staff to check in on drinks, and I had to request a new beer three times before it finally arrived. A little more attentiveness would go a long way in improving the experience.

Very nice food quality, very aesthetically pleasing and fast & friendly service. I recommend the 114 if you‘re going with someone else.

Red curry could have been more spicy but the miso soup, salad and curry were good. Thanks for the kind service .

I was at GORENSHI with two colleagues on February 18, 2025. A reservation was not necessary that evening and we got a table without any problems, even though the restaurant was busy. The atmosphere is attractive and cozy, the service is friendly and attentive. I had a Pho Bo and nigiris with salmon and tuna. Both tasted great! The soup was hearty but light – just a few more noodles would have benefited it. The nigiris were very good quality, a little more rice would have been desirable. The price of the soup was absolutely fair, and the nigiris were still within an acceptable range. Despite these small details, it was a successful evening and I can definitely recommend the restaurant!

I was just thrown out of the resto because I sat down at an empty table and was only offered a seat at the windy door as an alternative, despite there being more free tables. I politely refused and was shown the door. That says a lot about this restaurant's understanding of service. Too bad...

Nice, affordable Japanese sushi restaurant. €30 for a Miso soup, about twelve sushi bites and a dessert. Not world top, good enough and good value for money. I'll come back here.

Delicious food, a little slow in the sushi service, which is delicious. I would say that the sushi menu we received did not correspond exactly to what was on the menu, because there were not even written instructions and there were 4 on the tray, but it didn't matter much to us. Reasonable price, except water: as expensive as beer.

The three of us were there on a Wednesday evening and were received very friendly without a reservation. We had sushi and some appetizers, everything looked and tasted amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

Today was my first visit to Gorenshi in Darmstadt and I am thrilled. Friendly and quick service as well as a pleasant atmosphere provided the framework for my meal. I ordered maki with spicy tuna tartar, maki with unagi and a California roll. Everything was excellent - especially the maki with unagi were very tasty and generously filled. Next week we'll try out the lunch menu, that sounds tempting too.

We are regular sushi eaters and it was just really, really good! The rolls didn't skimp on the salmon and the salmon was generally of really high quality. Good contrast, consistency also excellent. The highlight are the really excellent Gunkan with salmon tartare, tuna tartare or shrimp tartare! Chrunchyrolls also great!

The quality of the salmon is really good here. The service was very attentive and the location was very good. Parking spaces are not very close, but still very easy to reach on foot.

Great restaurant just next to Darmstadt main station, the interior of the place is amazing, the service and foods are 10 on 10. And surprisingly, hungry travellers don't need to find doner shop after getting down from the train 😁🫡🤤

The sushi tasted very good, it's a shame that the waiter wrote the order wrong and a different type of sushi arrived. However, the very beautiful and inviting surroundings are not sufficiently heated and you can feel the cold after a while. the rest everything is ok.

We ate there today at 1 p.m. We are sushi connoisseurs. Everything was fresh, deliciously prepared and first class standard. We had a cold Shushi plate for €45 for 2 people. + Seaweed saladx2 and crunchy rolls (4) ordered. Ginger and wasabi unlimited! Very nice and friendly staff - except for the owner, who was only willing to explain the different sushi preparations to a limited extent and only laughed at the question of an illustration. Die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen, der Fisch war frisch und es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Vor allem wie das Gericht auf dem Teller angerichtet wurde war toll! Das Ambiente war äußerst ansprechend, und das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich freue mich bereits darauf, wieder vorbeizuschauen!

Also ich kann die guten Bewertungen absolut garnicht nachvollziehen. Ist mir ein Rätsel was Leute unter 5 Sternen verstehen. Ein Stern ist es sicherlich nicht, aber ich versuche hiermit andere vor hohen Erwartungen zu warnen. Das Rindfleisch war Schuhsohle, das Thai Curry hatte Garkeinen Geschmack, die Bedingung hat uns erstmal links liegen gelassen und die Preise sind viel zu hoch für diese Leistung.. Es war auch sehr laut.. Soviel zum guten Ambiente.. Sehr schade
