Wonderful German restaurant on the Drosselgasse – we had Sauerbraten, local beer & Riesling, and an authentic Rüdesheim coffee. Everything was very good!!!
Absolutely fabulous restaurant. Enjoyed our Sauerbraten. 2nd time here. I also lost my phone at this restaurant down between a wall & window(long story) while on a river cruise and the owner later got it out of the wall and posted it back to me in Australia. What wonderful people. Big hi to Lydie & Soren
Unfortunately, unfortunately, unfortunately.........we won't be coming back, although I don't think anyone really cares. As2. Unfortunately, the Rahmschnitzel gang ordered a really small schnitzel with fried potatoes, which were neither crispy nor seasoned, the schnitzel weighed a maximum of 130 g. The biggest impudence, however, was the "hunter's sauce" that was specially served in a small glass, this sauce neither deserved the name hunter's sauce (there wasn't a single mushroom in it) nor the name sauce, that was water with a few cut onions, sauce powder and some kitchen cream ( Dear colleague, with such a sauce you would have failed the journeyman's exam (if you have one, please repeat). The worst thing, however, was when I told the waitress that the answer was that they always know about petsonal problems........ Guys then close the shop, for 23.50 euros you can charge something decent even these days. We usually came at least four times a year, but not anymore, there are other places.
We come here regularly because there are (unfortunately) no alternatives in the area.
If you overlook a few things (cleanliness of tables + toilets, attentiveness of service), you can get decent Asian food here.
I would particularly like to emphasize that we cook here without glutamate. There are said to be people who are sensitive to this (unfortunately I am one of them).
We stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the village, and it turned out to be a highlight of our 8-day vacation along the Rhine River! We had weiner schnitzel and spaetzle with mushroom sauce, and it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant itself was cozy and quirky, with accordions everywhere, and the entire experience was a wonderful surprise. On a scale of 1-10, this place was a 15. Maria, our waitress, was lovely and delightful. Can't wait to go back again!
