Drosselmüller in Rüdesheim am Rhein

Das Esen war Geschmacklich super, aber die Filetofanne war übersichtlich. Die Portion war recht klein, keinerlei Salat dabei. Schade. War zur Magic Bike immer gut besucht. Jetzt recht leer. Andere Restaurants sind sehr gut besucht.

Wir waren hier zum ersten Mal zum Essen und müssen ehrlich sagen wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen und der Bedienung das Essen war lecker und hatte nicht lange auf sich warten lassen

Für eine größere Gruppe von 50 Gästen überhaupt nicht geeignet. Wir haben einen Betriebsausflug dort hin gemacht. Trotz vorbereiteten Essensbestellungen, haben sie es nicht geschafft, das alle innerhalb 20 Minuten ihr Essen bekamen. Teilweise wurde das Essen zurück gegeben, weil es kalt und überhaupt nicht geschmeckt hat. Die Servericekraft hat sich zwar bemüht, eine 2 Person wäre sinnvoll gewesen. Sowohl beim Service als auch beim bezahlen. Sodass wir mit dem Bus in Verzug kamen. Aber irgendwie interessiert es keinen, solange das Geld fließt. Anscheinend möchte man nicht, daß die Gäste ein 2. Mal erscheinen.

Wir hatten heute einen Flammkuchen "Klassik" mit Speck und Zwiebeln bestellt, hatte eher was von 08/15 Chips. Ohne Schmand, ein paar traurige rote Zwiebeln (sehr dick geschnitten) darauf und den Speck konnte man suchen. War eine trocken, knackige Angelegenheit. Lt. Bedienung nicht die erste Beschwerde, aber der Chef will sparen. 12€ für ein Knäckebrot in meinen Augen eine Schande für die Gastronomie 🫣

Auch wenn wir nur Getränke hatten, waren wir sehr zufrieden. Der Service im Drosselmüller Restaurant war schnell, aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich gut betreut und willkommen. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Wir hatten ein platz im Innenhof. urig. erst gab es keine Flammkuchen mehr und dann doch. Leider lauwarm serviert. das wiener schnitzel war ok, der grauburgunder auch. Für 90€ für 4 personen anfang der season hätten wir mehr erwartet. da ist luft nach oben- nicht viele gäste und kein Stress - Schade

Das Lokal ist nicht weiter zu empfehlen. Das Essen wurde vor den Getränken und sogar vor dem Besteck serviert. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt. Geschmacklich war es enttäuschend und zudem nur lauwarm. Der berühmte Rüdesheimer Kaffee wurde mit künstlicher Sahne serviert, da angeblich echte Sahne im Lokal nicht erlaubt sei. Da fragt man sich wirklich, womit dort eine Rahmsoße zubereitet wird. Insgesamt leider eine Katastrophe. Für Touristen scheint das hier zu reichen. Die sind vermutlich schneller wieder weg als das Essen warm wird. Für uns definitiv das erste und letzte Mal 😲🤮

Katastrophe von A-Z. Unfreundlich und unkompetent. Das Essen (Zwiebelrostbraten) war samt Beilagen ungeniesbar. Ich hoffe der Lindenwirt, empfielt das Restaurant nicht weiterhin seinen Gästen fürs Mittagessen. Ich esse viel auswärts. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern schon mal so schlecht gegessen zu haben. Keine Reaktion vom Kellner als wir die vollen Teller wieder zurückschickten, dafür aber eine Rechnung für 2 Schnitzel und Wasser um die 60€ bekommen haben.

Rüdesheimer Kaffee. Einfach der Beste! Sie hatten extra lange für unsere große Gruppe geöffnet und der Kaffee war unglaublich!

Essen war in in Prinzip gut - aber ich bin nicht satt geworden. Nur Barzahlung möglich.

Es war sehr lecker werde ich immer ansteuern wenn ich in Rüdesheim bin. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr unfreundlicher Service. Wir haben uns zunächst gegen ein Restaurantbesuch entschieden, weil ein junger Mann, der nur nach der Speisekarte fragte, sehr arrogant und überheblich war. Der Barkeeper wiederholte ständig, dass er kein Deutsch spricht. Die Frau ließ mich nicht einmal meine Frage nach einer Reservierung beenden, bevor sie sagte: „Gehen Sie einfach rein.“ Schöne Lage, aber sehr unfreundliche Leute. Die Speisekarte sah nur mittelmäßig aus. Es gibt deutlich bessere Restaurants in der Umgebung.

Ich habe Maultaschen mit Kartoffelsalat bestellt. 30 Sekunden später stand das "Essen" auf dem Tisch. Unterirdisch.

Nein, anstelle kartoffelknödel wurden trockene semmelknödel serviert. Alles sehr schnell vermutlich sus dem steamer

Unser Besuch in diesem Restaurant war leider enttäuschend. Die Hauptspeise wurde kalt serviert, und der Geschmack hat sofort erkennen lassen, dass das Fett alt und ranzig war dadurch war das Essen kaum genießbar. Auch der Beilagensalat machte keinen frischen Eindruck, da viele Blätter bereits braun und welk waren. Für ein Restaurant dieser Preisklasse ist das völlig inakzeptabel. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir allerdings die Kellnerin, die sehr freundlich war und unser Anliegen sofort an die Küche weitergegeben hat. Leider hat das an der Qualität der Speisen nichts geändert. Insgesamt passt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht.Für die verlangten Preise erwarten wir frische Produkte, sorgfältige Zubereitung und ein Mindestmaß an Qualität. Schade trotz nettem Servicepersonal werden wir hier nicht mehr essen gehen.

Endless tourist rip-offs. Instead of German cuisine, they're served convenience foods. And they're also poorly prepared. The portions are extremely small for the price, and the main courses don't even come with a side salad. Schnitzel "Vienna style," perhaps just about acceptable in terms of thickness, was unfortunately completely dry. Pork fillet with frozen rösti that was warm in the middle but not quite cooked through. A packet of cream sauce with peppercorns added at the end. Two small pieces of pork fillet (presumably pork fillet heads) that you first had to dissect to get to the meat. It's sad how you get ripped off in your own country.

We were at Drosselmüller on the back terrace on August 5, 2025, around 5:30 p.m. I had the daily special for €11.00: fried chicken (boneless) with fries, and my husband had the "Alm" schnitzel, filled with mountain cheese, bacon, and onions, with fries for a whopping €19.90. The fried chicken consisted of two very, very small pieces of chicken, and the "Alm" schnitzel was also very small. Both came with just a generous portion of fries, and everything came from a deep fryer! Typical convenience food. It was the worst meal we've ever been served in Rüdesheim, and we visit Rüdesheim very often.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful interior. Great balcony with a view of the hotel. The food was okay but not particularly outstanding.

Nice, clean place. The service was very nice and attentive. The food was also tasty, but the portions were very small, and the schnitzel (in my opinion) comes with a side salad.

This is a tourist trap. I had a Wiener Schnitzel with cucumber and potato salad! The schnitzel wasn't small, it was tiny, and the salad was potato salad and a small bowl of cucumber salad.

Just don't drink Rüdesheimer coffee, tastes like washing up water

Unfortunately I can't write a review without giving it a star. That's why I gave it 1 star. Because although Google Maps says that the restaurant should be open every day from 11, yesterday we were faced with closed doors. However, I could have been warned, because the website offered fresh asparagus, even though there is no asparagus yet. You should just be more critical and call ahead before you have to travel a long distance.

We went here for dinner today. The atmosphere was perfect; it wasn't busy because there was a Christmas market outside. Friendly service, and the food was very good and reasonably priced for today's prices. I highly recommend it.

November 16, 2024 I ordered a beef broth with semolina dumplings. Soup was either homemade or a very good frozen product. really good. Then there was the Bierbrät´l (pork belly with a crispy crust is served here) with dumplings and coleslaw. The sausage meat was completely popped, so the crust was tender and crispy at the same time, like peanut butter, just as it should be. The dumplings were also okay, with breadcrumbs in butter on top. the coleslaw was fresh and with caraway seeds, totally great. The sauce wasn't really my thing, but all in all, recommended as the staff was also courteous and friendly.

Unfriendly service. Nobody gave a tip, which is always a sign. Food was expensive, but quality was just okay. I don't recommend the terrace, it's nicer in my house than an ugly courtyard.

The roast pork was very good. The crust was so crispy and the sauce went perfectly with it. The dumplings were also homemade. The service was great and our dog was looked after very nicely. But there wasn't that much going on that day.

The food was very good: Oven-fresh Bierbrat'l" Dark beer sauce, dumplings and Meraut salad €15.50 is my recommendation. Something other than schnitzel. Unfortunately, toilets are 2 floors below, not for wheelchair users.

We enjoyed it and had friendly service. And a nice space facing the courtyard on the terrace, what more could you want. The roast with dumplings was great.

The sign said outside “Baked dish of the day”. Great, just right for us... we thought. Fries and salad... goes well. Well, the 'Händl' was something indefinable in an enormous amount of breading. I had to remove these because of gluten intolerance. Afterwards we thought it was our mistake... but without breading the meat was inedible. The fries are horrible... Apparently we just didn't understand what the dish would have meant as a daily offering. So we asked people from here. And lo and behold: our expectations of receiving a normal grilled or baked chicken were completely correct. Apparently you don't necessarily have to go abroad to fall for such a tourist scam .😵‍💫

The service was unfriendly and we as a family did not feel comfortable here. The food only came after 45 minutes even though there wasn't much going on.

Scnitzel Jäger Art was really tasty. The mushroom sauce was excellent.

Very good food, extremely friendly service and we even think of our four-legged friends! Water and a small packet of treats came straight away (never experienced before)!!!!

When I found myself in this restaurant on Saturday lunchtime, I had no idea that I wouldn't be staying here for long. After waiting ten minutes I went to the bar to get the waitress where I asked where the toilet was and if anyone would come to serve us. From the table next to the bar, a young man (he looked like a trainee) who was engrossed in his cell phone said he was coming soon, always looking at his cell phone. After another eight minutes, my family and I went to another restaurant. Good service looks different. I don't recommend it

Had the Backhändl with fries. I can get the same quality cheaper at the chip shop.

On May 31st, 2024 we will be on site (married couple plus small child). We ordered Jägerschnitzel and a beer brat and a small portion of fries for the child, apple spritzer and a cola. (45€ without portion of fries). The food came to the table lukewarm and the portion of fries for the child did not arrive even after repeated requests. Parents know what it means when the kids are hungry but no food arrives. The service was catastrophic, the food was lukewarm but the taste was actually okay. Conclusion: We wouldn't go there again.

The food was delicious. However, I only had 3 asparagus on my plate for 27 euros. Relatively expensive compared to the Wiener Schnitzel at 15 euros. I was still a little hungry. The double espresso was also very expensive at 6.50 euros and consisted more of water.

We had the opportunity to eat the pork belly, wild bratwurst and the wild hamburger. It was all very delicious and we were all very happy with what we ordered. Our server was an amazing young man who was very helpful and attentive to what we needed. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately the food (4 sticks of asparagus and 6 half potatoes) arrived lukewarm. After complaining and asking for hot/warm food, it can go back to lukewarm. I gave up and ate. The taste was OK. Price performance is not right!

Uuuuuiii! I have rarely eaten so well. I ordered a Bierbrat'l (pork crust roast) with dumplings in dark beer sauce. Divine! The taste has spread all over the tongue. The meat was super tender and juicy. I would have loved to bottle the sauce that was left on my plate and take it with me. I like going out to eat. But I have never sent a greeting to the kitchen. That was the first time. The service was friendly and hospitable. The toilets were tip top clean. This is not a given for a restaurant of this size. I visited the restaurant as part of a trip. I will definitely drive from Offenbach to Rüdesheim again just to eat there.

The food overall was delicious and the asparagus was the best.

So far everything is ok. Only if you have fried chicken (triggered) on the menu should it be something like this. There were 2 larger chicken nuggets with fries for €11.90. Then you can also go to Mc.

Service top, food flop. If you like deep fryer food you should go. Had a Cord on Bleu here also called Almschnitzel with hard fries and a hard something from the deep fryer. The side salad with a slice of tomato and a slice of cucumber with ready-made dressing. The service was very nice but for over 17 euros I expected something different to eat, which is a shame.

A very cozy restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. After the meal there was dessert, where you can unwind for a while. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

I've been visiting for a while now and was very disappointed. The quality has deteriorated a lot. When I think of fried chicken, I imagine something different. For 14 € a handful of fries with 2 small chicken "schnitzels"... no... unfortunately the price/performance ratio is no longer right here. Very unfortunate...

The food is simply delicious, from the soup, main course and dessert simply fantastic. The prices are realistic, rather cheap for such good quality. It is recommended!

We had lunch there on a Monday. Since there was hardly anything open at that time in the Drosselgasse, we came across this restaurant. We ate very tasty and fresh there. Spinach dumplings with mountain cheese, the taste was so delicious! Schnitzel and fries, hot and fresh! Pork crust, very tasty with a great sauce! Venison saddle, tender and great in taste! We've never had better Kaiserschmarren for dessert! The apple cake was also very tasty! The Rüdesheimer coffee was skilfully served! We'll be happy to come back!

Modest food - poor service - ideal for tourists. Fried chicken, which resembles chicken nuggets from the deep fryer, spinach dumplings without any taste, which didn't look nearly as good as the pictures here suggest. Maybe there's a new chef? You can't even talk about service. Been here for over an hour, the waitress only came to bring food and pay.

Food very carelessly prepared, very weak in taste. Doesn't look (anymore) like the pictures in other reviews... new chef?! Service was nice but sometimes difficult to understand as rather broken German was spoken. Poor value for money...

We came after a long walk and really wanted to eat. There were few people in the restaurant, despite the day off, which was to our advantage) The order was brought quickly, everything was delicious, the price was average, like everywhere else. I wanted to try something traditional German and ordered crispy roasted pork, dumplings in sauce and sauerkraut salad. The men ordered schnitzels with fries. Everything was very tasty, but I already tried this dish, once is enough😁. The men really liked the schnitzels)

After leaving another location because of totally unfriendly service, we found it. We enjoyed the great ambience on your outdoor terrace, very tasty food, the lovingly celebrated Rüdesheimer coffee and your very friendly service. Thank you ☺️

The restaurant impresses with its ambience. The terrace in particular is a dream. Unfortunately the food is not worth the price, purely tourist processing.

Gutes Essen,aber sehr langsamer Service

Ein tolles Ambiente erwartet einen hier. Der Service war schnell und Aufmerksam. Unter einem Backhendel hätte ich mir was anderes vorgestellt. Die Beschreibung dieser Speise hätte besser sein können. Es gab quasi parierte Hähnchenschnitzel die richtig winzig waren. Dafür Pommes. Geschmacklich war es ok.

Das Essen, Bierbrätl , war perfekt, das Bier trotz 31 Grad schön kühl. Die Toiletten für Gehbehinderte eine Treppenaufgabe.

Das Essen ist gut, die Portionen sind nichts für den großen Hunger. Preislich auch nicht gerade ein Schnäppchen Bei unserem Besuch war sehr wenig los, was andere sicherlich am Wochentag lag.

Ich hatte das Schweinefilet im Speckmantel mit Pfeffersosse und Röstis für 17.90. Die Röstis waren superlecker. Das Fleisch war mir persönlich zu pfefferlastig aber sehr schön zart und nicht trocken.

A lovely place, reasonable prices; German cuisine, very little vegetarian options, I Jad the spinach dumplings which were swimming in butter and fat for some reason! Had cheese too, delicious though too fatty, that being said, it’s a german food and that comes with the territory! My cousin had pork steak with dumplings and she loved it. A nice spot, not as busy as other spots with a nice Terrance

Schlechtester Service den ich je in einem Lokal erlebt habe, allein auf ein neues Getränk zum Essen ein halbe Stunde warten müssen…. Aber ich muss einen Lob an den Jungen Herren aussprechen der sich dann wenigstens um uns gekümmert hat ….. Leider würde ich sonst jetzt noch ohne Getränke dort am Essen sitzen 🪑sogar ist dies auf den beigefügten Bildern zu sehen, auch der Koch hat einen spitzen Job gemacht ….. es ist sehr lecker gewesen…. Aber das Serviceteam würde ich sofort ersetzen.

Leckeres Essen, schnell serviert, netter Service!

Sehr schönes Ambiente mit moderner Ausstattung, sehr schöne Sitz Möglichkeiten im Außenbereich, das Essen war recht lecker, die Qualität der Soße hätte ich mir besser gewünscht, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Gang zur Toilette ist eine Herausforderung, circa 10 m Treppenstufen abwärts, die auch wieder aufgestiegen werden müssen 😅😔

Hot day but good food and a cold beer made this an enjoyable lunch venue. Recommended

Sehr sauber aber die Toilette saß sind 50 steile Stufen aber auch sauber.

Das Wirtshaus ist in der Nähe zwischen der Seilbahn und der Drosselgasse gelegen. Es hat einen großen Gastraum und einen FreisitzBalkon mit Blick in den Innenhof. Das Bier war süffig und das Essen reichlich und gut.

Typisches Touristen Lokal in Rüdesheim haben nur etwas getrunken. Die Preise sind dem Tourismus angepasst. Schöner Außenbereich der in die Drosselgasse geht. Nachteil die Toiletten sind nur über teils lange Treppe zu erreichen. Haben in der Oberen Straße gesessen. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich.

Lecker Spargel zu manierlichen Preisen !! Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend !! Für ein Restaurant in dieser Gegend sehr ansprechbar, aber auch noch ein wenig Luft nach oben !!! Bitte daran arbeiten !!

Durschnittliches Essen, nichts besonderes. Aber für einen Touristen-Ort ok. Service war gut.

Ich kann nur gutes berichten, der Krustenbraten in Dunkelbiersoße kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. Service stimmt auch, alles top.

Die Portionen waren für den Preis doch sehr klein. Geschmacklich allerdings gut. Der Salat war mit einem Fertigdressing angemacht, auswählen konnte man kein anderes. Der Service war gut und bemüht, aber es waren sonst auch kaum Gäste anwesend. Das Ambiente war okay, im dem Biergarten hinter dem Haus wehte leider immer wieder ein starker Fettgeruch aus der Küche her. Für dieses Essen und ein Glas Wasser (0,5) bezahlt man knapp 30€.
