Service was very friendly, bread was very dry and didn't taste fresh, butter was very solid, sausage cheese salad was with tomatoes and peppers, this wasn't described in the menu, price/performance ratio was very inadequate, toilets weren't clean.

Sauce and side dishes catastrophic. Schnitzel was okay. Decoration completely overdone. I wouldn't even use the curtain in the toilet as a doormat. Prices for what you get are completely overpriced

Unfortunately no recommendation when it comes to food! The daily recommendation “Little Haxen” for €19.90 was a disaster. Centimeter thick crust, hard to get through with a knife and fork. The remaining meat inside is totally dry. When we complained to the service department, Schlucht's response was: That's how it should be, our customers like it, we sell it so regularly. Therefore: stay away!!!! Unfortunately the Kasspatzn weren't any better either. The homemade spaetzle were thick, sticky and doughy sparrows. Taste ok. but all you had was a doughy mass in your mouth! Spaetzle versus different! The small (actually quite large) mixed salad was also a bust. Dressing was completely tasteless. Actually a nice colorful salad mix. Blueberries and grapes on it didn't help beyond the neutral taste experience. Too bad! Food a flop, service friendly but no customer orientation. Shortcomings that are politely presented are negated and denied. Not very professional!

The waitresses were extremely nice, courteous and warm. The food was a 10/10. Expensive, but definitely worth the money. Visit again? In any case !!!!!

Bavarian specialty restaurant with an extensive menu, excellent cuisine and very attentive, friendly service. Cozy beer garden. Dog friendly. If our stay in Rüdesheim were longer, we would definitely come back several times.

Ambience is ok. Food tasted ok too. Service ok. BUT..... The portions are far too small for the money. We go in hungry and leave hungry after eating. Waiting for over an hour when there is hardly any activity in the store is not possible. Designed purely for Turis. Unfortunately I can't recommend it.

Overall, a cozy place. The food (schnitzel, knuckle) was also okay. Only the lumberjack steak isn't one. A neck chop is served, which has no bones or rind and is therefore relatively dry. Otherwise everything was to our satisfaction. The baked potato came particularly nicely packaged

We were fascinated by the atmosphere, it is a wonderful place and the prices are very affordable. It is a place that everyone who visits Rüdesheim should definitely see. We received friendly and fast service. Thank you very much, we will stop by whenever we pass by.

Nice restaurant and good geman food

We went here to eat, unfortunately the pork knuckle wasn't that crispy, but the meat was good. The service was generally okay, but unfortunately the communication in German didn't work that well. The ambience is beautiful but the music took some getting used to 😅

Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle drowned in the sauce. Although shown on the menu, there were no fries or fried potatoes. Overall not recommended.

Positive: good selection of Bavarian beers. The prices for this are okay. Negative: Ambiance of the backyard/courtyard. Among other things, old worn-out chairs, the deliberately Bavarian decoration is from back in the day. The white sausages are edible, but the stomach pain and slight nausea that follow shortly after make me suspicious. The chef's appearance did the rest for me. The lady from the service was rude and didn't seem to want to have guests. Conclusion: never again. There are some great restaurants in Rüdesheim, but you don't have to stop here.

The ambience is very nice. The waitress doesn't really want her job. Unfortunately. We found out that there are no fries because I asked what steak fries were. Otherwise we would have simply received fried potatoes without any information in advance. Unfortunately, the Tyrolean Gröstl has nothing to do with a Tyrolean Gröstl. With vegetables and mushrooms. That doesn't belong there. Since I can't eat mushrooms, I complained about that. The plate was then taken away without a word. Then the card was handed to me again without a word. My alternative dish, veal schnitzel, was delicious. My husband had the lumberjack steak. Unfortunately this was a simple neck steak. Nothing more, nothing less. Overall, nice atmosphere, but otherwise nothing special.

Food was delicious. Cozy inner courtyard...music not Bavarian, but 60s. The waitress during our visit lacked any motivation. It's all too much and he prefers to paint by numbers instead of taking full ashtrays off the table while eating.

Tourist trap but… The Tyrolean Gröstel was delicious, similar to the original. Hot and the portion was ok too. The service is good, but not everyone speaks German. Difficult for a Bavarian farm 😃 Heintje and similar music trill in the Bavarian courtyard. Tourists from the Far East like it. This seems to be the target group here. Take 5 minutes to see for yourself before you order food 😄

We had the cheese platter, which was actually delicious and beautifully presented, although I don't know what the olives were doing there and the bread had already been around for a few days. Unfortunately the music is also very cruel, hits from the 60s

Ordered a lumberjack steak. The fried potatoes were swimming in oil, ok I know that but dill on the steak doesn't work at all. If you love dill, 👌 otherwise don't order it, my wife's sausage salad was also served with dill. Conclusion: The atmosphere is quite nice, I'll never eat again, and the toilets... I'd rather go to a public one.

Great restaurant, great service and a huge menu with absolute highlights of Bavarian cuisine! The knuckle was simply great, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The price for a 0.5 liter beer is €25, which tends not to be much more expensive than in other restaurants. Gladly again 👌

Short and sweet. I have never experienced such bad service in my life. When ordering it was not stated that no fries or other side dishes were available. Fried potatoes were simply served without any coordination. The starter and main courses came together. The waitress brought the cutlery jar and, to our astonishment, slammed it on the table. Despite everything, the food tasted good. But the friendliness of the service staff needs to be worked on.

A very special beer garden with old German hits and live music. Great beer. Great food. Incredible, rousing 2-man band that gets the whole place singing and dancing along. It's a bit hidden, we went there three times to party. It is absolutely recommended.

When traveling with children, the food isn’t always the most important, but that one can relax a little as well. In the Biergarten, there was music and enough space between the tables and children were obviously welcome.

Unfortunately I have to give at least one star but eating there today was a disaster. My husband and I ended up here by chance...we were really unlucky... Sweet atmosphere but that's all. My husband ordered lamb chops...but only small bones with a bit of raw meat arrived. I, on the other hand, wanted a simple Jägerschnitzel and am still puzzling over what it actually was.... Weird green sauce with something inside (to be honest I didn't dare try it). No fries today (unbelievable!). Barely 10 minutes later we very disappointingly asked for the bill for a whopping 58.40...for nothing and nothing again.... Although they asked what was wrong, they apologized several times but still didn't ask for a cent less! Besides, I just wanted to mention that we have both been working in the catering industry for years and have never worked at such a low level. We would like to thank you very politely for this absolute disaster! Goodbye forever!

Very, very tasty food. This deserves 5 stars. The kitchen designs the plates very lovingly and it tastes incredibly good. The toilets destroy this good impression. Both the men's and women's toilets were completely unkempt. Since we were there two evenings in a row, we noticed that they were not cleaned regularly, as the rubbish from the previous day was still there. What a shame! Unfortunately, there were communication problems that resulted in discrepancies in the supplements ordered. So as a tip: Be sure to repeat what exactly you want. Service is very quick, and the food also comes quickly.

Ich hatte mich auf ein gutes Rehgulasch gefreut, aber wurde wahnsinnig enttäuscht. Das Gulasch hatte keinen Geschmack. Die Spätzle und der Salat (ohne Dressing auf dem Teller platziert) verwandelten den Teller in eine Wasserpfütze. Als ich der Kellnerin dies vorsichtig mitteilte, setzte diese ein falsches Lächeln auf und lästerte hinter der Theke über mich. Trotz deren Aktion "jede 5 Sterne-Bewertung = 1 Freibier" gaben wir eine wohlwollende 3 Sterne Bewertung ab. Als die Kellnerin das an ihrem PC im Hinterzimmer sah, wurden wir wütend konfrontiert. Wie man eine sichtbar Schwangere Frau so behandeln kann ist mir ein Rätsel.

The visit is not worth it! There weren't even any fries even though they were on the menu. The service was very unfriendly. We then had a very tasty meal somewhere else.

This was a lovely find! We were wandering around Rudesheim the rain and saw the restaurant just opening for service. It was quiet when we arrived but got busier than the staff expected (it was Wednesday which appears to be the day half the restaurants in Rudesheim are closed!) However, the food was excellent, and sitting outside under the parasols, with the Bayern Munich decoration was lovely. The Goulash soup was the best my husband has eaten (and he’s eaten a few!), and the Grostl was perfect (and we’ve eaten a lot of those too!)

I just can't put into words how delicious it is, what a pleasant atmosphere and what professional service.

The menu was inaccurate (they said they had kännchen of tea but just had mugs) and my Rüdesheimer Kaffee had gnats in it. So I don’t recommend that. I didn’t have food so I can’t say how it would be. The staff was very apologetic about the gnats and the decor is gorgeous. But there are endless cute places in Rüdesheim that I can’t bring myself to recommend this one.

Had Rudeshei brand coffee in a very nice interior, coffee was prepared at the table, really cool... and tasty

For a tourist stronghold it's totally ok, food, drinks, prices. The staff are very attentive even when it is very busy, with many customers you can only shake your head. They behave worse than animals, even if they are like that at home too. The fact that a toilet fee is charged for strangers is completely ok. How people leave the toilet like a dump. Normally, the city should provide enough public toilets, such as at the rest stops for 50 - 100 cents.

5 € for a trip to the toilet... it seems to me that something is wrong in your head!!

We were there shortly before Corona and we were already annoyed that it was quite expensive and we didn't like it that much. It was outrageously expensive and the food wasn't good

We visited the Bayerischer Hof at the weekend (December) and were really looking forward to a good light beer. After we had lined up at the stand in the courtyard, after about 25 minutes of waiting, we were told in such an impudent tone that we had done the wrong thing and should get in line again, even though this line had formed after ours. You can probably get over that with a good beer. But things got really bad when we were asked to pay €5 to use the toilet, even though we were consuming guests. We then left some of our drinks and fled. Absolutely not recommended!

Great food, very nice service, very nice atmosphere. The schnitzels are exactly as they should be. Yes, for my taste they could be a little thicker. But all in all very good food. The toilets are a small drawback. They are clean but a bit impractical. That's why only four stars for service. Conclusion: You can go here.

Ausgezeichnete Begrüßung beim Eintritt. Die vom Personal beschriebenen Gerichte entsprechen voll und ganz der Realität. perfekt wahrnehmbare Qualitätsprodukte. Aufmerksamer Kellner, der versteht, was Sie wollen. Ich werde mit Sicherheit wieder kommen.

Wir waren am Samstagabend hier, es schien keine Hoffnung zu geben, einen Sitzplatz zu bekommen, aber das Personal war sehr effizient bei der Suche nach einem Sitzplatz für uns, meine Kinder waren sehr glücklich und saßen fast sofort. Ich danke dem italienischen Kellner noch einmal.

Old school German restaurant with authentic charm, great service, great beer, great music and great food. If we weren’t leaving tomorrow we’d go back again for sure. Please don’t go here if you need an English menu and servers that speak perfect English. After all, you’re in Germany so enjoy the experience.

Sehr nettes Bedienungspersonal, leckeres Essen, schöne Einrichtung, tolle Atmosphäre, sehr sehr leckeres Bier König Ludwig. Ich empfehle das Restaurant von ganzem Herz

Portionen waren super groß und richtig lecker. Wir hatten das Hirschgulasch mit Spätzle und die gemischte Platte. Gulasch war sehr zart und reichlich. Die gemischte Platte hat ebenfalls alles was das Herz begehrt und hat mehr als satt gemacht. Preislich nicht ganz so billig, aber dafür war die Qualität und die Größe der Portionen für gute Esser geeignet. Ambiente ist ok und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Spätzle selbstgemacht, Bratkartoffeln aus der Pfanne und Haxe von Grill (findet man nicht mehr so oft).

Schnitzel war schön dünn aber etwas verbrannt. Hat trotzdem geschmeckt. Aber ich wollte Pommes dazu und dieser Wechsel auf Pommes kam mir 2.50€ extra. Das ist mir noch nie passiert. Meine Kollegen waren auch nicht so mit dem Essen zufrieden. Also besser man meidet dieses Lokal.

Nette Atmosphäre um gepflegte einzukehren. Im Innenhof sitzt man leider etwas abgeschirmt aber dafür vor Wind und Wetter geschützt.

Great bierhall in Rudesheim. People were friendly and we had a great time!

Wenn man in Rüdesheim ist, sollte man woanders hin gehen. Positiv: Schneller Service und kalte Getränke. Käseplatte war teuer aber gut. Negativ: Touristenladen und sehr teuer. Coca Cola steht in der Karte und man erhält Pepsi. Keine schöne Location.

Sehr lecker war es. Die Portionen sind sehr groß, man sollte zweimal überlegen ob man eine Vor- u Hauptspeise bestellt.

Wir haben Rippchen gegessen, Fleisch fiel von Knochen, so toll waren die. Das Bier ist sehr suffig. Sehr nette Bedienung.

Der Gastraum und der Außenbereich sind urgemütlich, wirklich ein tolles Ambiente. Das Schmalzbrot hat allerdings nur nach einem Butterbrot geschmeckt, von Schmalz war das weit weg!

Desværre ser det ud til at de har fået anden kok i køkkenet. Maden i år var helt klart lavet uden kærlighed til kokkekunsten. Øllen er fin, men hold jer til denne

This restaurant and biergarten was my favorite restaurant along the Rhine river. The atmosphere was great; the service was friendly; and, the food and bier were excellent. I ate the steak dinner with the small side salad and potatoes. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. All the meals were so good that we sent our compliments to the chef. I highly recommend going here to eat when you are in Ruedesheim.

This was our favorite meal of the trip by far. I ordered the pork schnitzel which is unique. It was in incredible. Ahead of the main course we had cheese and meat platter and a liter of bier to start. The service was great.

Das haben wir wirklich noch nicht erlebt. Hatten jeweils Schnitzel mit Salatbeilage. Sieht alles wirklich gut aus, schön angerichtet. Aus dem Salat krabbeln allerdings Tiere raus, siehe Bild. Nachdem wir natürlich das Essen zurück gingen ließen und definitiv keinen Ersatz wollten, hat man versucht uns zu erklären, dass das ja Mal passiert bei Salat man würde aber die Rechnung stornieren. Wir sind dann natürlich aufgestanden um zu gehen, Nachdem die Bedienung den Tisch verlassen hatte. Man kam ins dann sehr unfreundlich hinterher dass wir aber die Getränke, die wir natürlich stehen ließen, bezahlen müssen, was wir natürlich umgehend taten. Ich als Inhaber würde mir diesen Tonfall sicherlich nicht zutrauen, nachdem ich Leuten schmutzigen Salat serviert habe. Und die Getränke hätte man vielleicht auch nicht berechnen müssen (10,20 für eine Cola und ein Wasser, das wir stehen ließen um woanders essen zu gehen - wir waren ja schließlich hungrig). Aber gut...

Posto carino, servizio ok anche se in po' lenti. Abbiamo preso una Schnitzel ma la carne era dura. La salsa era buona. Acqua di rubinetto costosissima! Conviene bere birra!

Like many visitors in Rüdesheim am Rhein, we were in hopes of an authentic meal and biergarten - and were rewarded when stepping into Bayerischer Hof. Wide selection of beer, more-than-friendly service, close-to-homemade meal, and reasonably priced. A big hit with our entire group.

This Biergarten is gorgeous, the wait staff is super friendly and accommodating, and our food was our favorite meal in Germany!!

We were on a Viking River cruise and decided to eat out one night. This was the cutest place, with the nicest people, and we had the best meal. Nothing was in English but the server took the time to take us through the entire menu and make recommendations. We both had some type of veggie/fish dish, with a local white fish. We would highly highly recommend this restaurant.

After struggling to find a friendly, authentic German restaurant that was actually open while in Rüdesheim, we finally found this gem of a restaurant. The beer garden is lovely and we were immediately made to feel welcome. The Weißwurst and Bratkartoffeln were outstanding. We highly recommend!

Leuk restaurant met leuke binnenplaats. Was live muziek aanwezig en met de juiste bezoekers een geweldig feest. Bierpullen tot 2 liter voor de liefhebber, maar ook de gewone 0,3 liter. Op advies van de serveerster schnitzel en gebakken haantje genomen met als dessert een bayerse pankoek moet appelmoes en fruit. Gewoon lekker en gezellig!!

Waren hier heute zu Gast, das Essen war echt super, Livemusik und das Ambiente annehmbar. Das Schnitzel mit der Ofenkartoffel (knapp 20€) und der Fleischkäse mit Bratkartoffeln (17€) waren schön angerichtet und geschmacklich echt lecker. Der Liter Bier für 9,50€ auch absolut in Ordnung. Die Preise für das Essen entbehren aber jeder Realität. Ein Weinschorle für 8,50€ im Ikea Stapelglas ist aber doch ein sehr ambitionierter Preis. Für einen Haxen werden hier fast 27€ aufgerufen, das ist schon ein schwer kommunizierbarer Preis meiner Meinung nach. Werden nicht wiederkommen. Essen ist wirklich gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt aber leider überhaupt nicht.

Spontan entschieden wir uns für dieses Restaurant und wurden nicht enttäuscht!Die Kellnerin war super nett und witzig....wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und das Essen hat hervorragend geschmeckt!
