On May 12, 2025, I was in the Xiao Oberhausen restaurant with two business partners who are also customers of our company. Unfortunately our visit this time was a very negative experience.
The quality of the food left a lot to be desired, especially the salads were obviously old and inedible. The choice of food was also significantly limited compared to before. Such deviations can perhaps still be understood on a Monday after the weekend. What was absolutely unacceptable, however, was the way the responsible staff handled our legitimate complaints.
We wanted to return a spoiled salad, whereupon we were informed that we would still have to pay for it: 14 euros for 200g. It's not about the amount, but about the lack of respect and lack of responsibility on the part of the restaurant management.
Unfortunately, one of my business partners was admitted to the EKO Hospital that same evening with severe stomach problems. I also had stomach problems, albeit in a milder form.
I have often been a guest at Restaurant Xiao in the past and have had mostly good experiences so far. This visit was all the more disappointing.
The ambience and location are still excellent - but the poor management endangers the reputation and continued existence of this establishment.
I will not visit this restaurant again in the future and cannot recommend it - especially for business occasions.
Simply great! Were served by Lisa and Noah. Nice is an understatement! Super attentive and friendly! Not professionally friendly but honestly friendly! Top!! We'll be back! Oh yes, and the food was top class too! I would give it 5 more stars if I could!
The long wait and cold food were disappointing. The service left much to be desired, and the offer of a positive review in exchange for a free drink seemed dubious. This shouldn't happen in a professional establishment.
Ordered via Lieferando over the last 5 years, have had problems again and again since this year, ordered Rocula pizza, no Rocula on it, ordered pizza rolls, no herb butter. The delivery time says 20-40 minutes, food arrives after 1.5 hours at the earliest. I won't be ordering here anymore, it's a shame because I really liked the price performance, but now the prices can no longer be justified.
We've ordered there several times and have ALWAYS been extremely satisfied! I can honestly say that everything there is delicious :)

I ate here with some friends, we have all had stomach problems, they deleted our review after we complained in the restaurant to the guy at reception, never again
