Der Fisch soll ganz gut sein und die Suppen sind lecker. Sämtliche bislang probierten Fleischgerichte sind jedoch weder zart, noch saftig, oder würzig und das schließt sogar das Filetsteak, sowie Gerichte ein, die in Soße ertrinken.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Speisekarte bietet eine große Auswahl. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch angenehm ist die schöne Terrasse bzw. der Biergarten mit vielen Sonnenschirmen und einer grünen Umgebung. Zwar liegt der Außenbereich an einer Kreuzung, sodass gelegentlich Autogeräusche zu hören sind, diese waren jedoch nicht störend.

Tolles Restaurant, das Essen war vorzüglich, das Ambiente sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Hier werden wir öfters hingehen. Heute bei schönsten Wetter im Biergarten gegessen.

Seit Jahren unsere absolute Nummer 1! Wir kommen nun schon seit Jahren immer wieder gerne in dieses Restaurant und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal hervorragend und die Qualität ist konstant auf einem Top-Niveau. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der erstklassige Service: Wir werden immer sehr höflich willkommen geheißen, aufmerksam bedient und herzlich verabschiedet. Ein großes Plus ist auch das perfekte Timing der Küche – selbst in einer größeren Runde kommt das Essen für alle immer zeitgleich und heiß an den Tisch. Für uns stimmt hier einfach das Gesamtpaket aus Gastfreundschaft und tollem Essen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für die vielen schönen Abende – wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Der Spargel war leider nicht so gut. Der Service ist sehr gut.

Ich hatte den Teller mit dem Lach und Zanderfilet. Der Lachs war durchgebraten, aber vernünftig gewürzt. 2 Gräten waren im Fisch. Mit dem Lachs konnte ich leben. Das Zanderfilet war leider komplett „durchsiebt“ von Gräten. Das darf finde ich bei einem Filet nicht passieren. Pro Gabel hatte ich schon 1-2 Gräten aussortiert und trotzdem im Anschluss noch welche im Mund. Für mich nicht essbar. Als der Kellner kam und gefragt hat, ob es geschmeckt hat und ich die Kritik wirklich sehr „angepasst“ geäußert habe, wurde darauf nicht eingegangen. Er hat die Teller genommen, abgeräumt und die Rechnung geholt. Das negative Highlight war dann noch im Anschluss. Wir haben leider zu spät gesehen, dass der Flaschen- Kühler von innen verschimmelt war. Wir waren heute in paar Mal zum Essen im Hirschkamp, es war nie überragend, aber nach der Erfahrung war es dann leider auch unser letztes Mal.

Gediegene deutsche Gaststube, fühlte mich zurückversetzt in die 70er Jahre. Service sehr freundlich und das Essen war gut, allen hat es geschmeckt, aber riesige Portionen, so wie früher halt :))

Leider ist in Walsum das Balkan Restaurant nicht mehr mein Geschmack …also mal hier hin … und war eine echt gute idee … das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet … sind sehr nett begrüßt worden …die Kellner ist echt zuvorkommend… dann mal den Klassiker bestellt .. Balkan Teller .. vorher gab es Brot ( vermisse ich in anderen Lokale ) und der Salat war echt lecker mit top Dressing 👍…der Balkan Teller war sehr lecker mit guter Fleisch Qualität….werde nicht das letzte Mal dort

Ich bin überwältigt. Wir waren zu zweit am Samstag (07.02.2026) zum Mittagessen da und haben gleich für meinen Geburtstag für 13 Personen reserviert. Eine so vielfältige Karte habe ich selten gesehen. Da ist für jeden was dabei. Auch mein Fisch und die Leber von meinem Mann waren hervorragend zubereitet. Salz- und Pfeffermühle auf jedem Tisch zeichnen ein gutes Lokal aus. Der Chef selbst hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Es war alles in allem sehr, sehr lecker und gemütlich. Endlich mal ein Lokal mit Ambiente zum Wohlfühlen. Können wir wärmstens empfehlen.

Ist ein solides Restaurant. Essen und Service absolut ok. Das ein oder andere Stück Fleisch hätte etwas früher vom Grill geholt werden und bei einigen Gerichten könnte etwas mehr Beilage dabei sein

Wir wollten am 2 Weihnachtsfeiertag einen schönen Abschluss der Feiertage mit der Familie machen, deshalb reservierten wir auch einen Tisch, der uns für 2 Stunden gewährt wurde. Kurz nach unserer pünktlichen Ankunft konnten wir bestellen und bekamen auch fast Zeitgleich alle das Essen. Allerdings war dann auch schon fast die Hälfte der Zeit um. Zum Essen selber, teilweise war es lauwarm und einige Speisen wurden nicht wie bestellt serviert. Der Kellner war freundlich, was angesichts des vollen Lokals schon beachtenswert war. Zehn Minuten vor Schluss wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, das unsere Zeit gleich um ist. Angesichts dessen bestellten sich einige von uns noch schnell ein Getränk. Zwei Minuten vor Ende der vorgegebenen Essenszeit wurde uns uncharmant, ich würde fast sagen sehr unfreundlich von der Bedienung klar gemacht, wir müssten jetzt aufstehen. Also kein Nachtisch mehr. Wir hatten noch keine Rechnung, die wurde schnell erstellt und konnten auf den Sprung bezahlen. Noch zu erwähnen ist, die Preise wurden zu Weihnachten angehoben. Das Fazit ist: Wir waren schon öfter Weihnachten oder andere Feiertage in einigen Restaurants essen, aber sowas haben wir noch nie erlebt. Der Lokalbesuch sorgte anschließend noch für Gesprächsstoff. Da spielte sicherlich der Gedanke an ein gutes Weihnachtsgeschäft mit. Uns wird der Laden nicht mehr sehen.

Knapp 45 Minuten warteten wir auf den Hauptgang. Der Salat zuvor war wirklich nicht schlecht, jedoch war das Fleisch im primären Speisegang kaum genießbar. Der Service war freundlich, aber als jugendlicher Gast fühlte man sich etwas infantilisiert.

Wir waren am 1. Weihnachtstag dort essen. Termin war um 12, wir waren alle pünktlich vor Ort und hatten einen Zeitslot von 2 Stunden. Das Lokal war bis auf den letzten Zentimeter mit Tischen vollgestellt, um so viele Leute wie möglich ins Lokal zu bekommen. Entsprechend eng saßen wir am Tisch. Es war kaum möglich, sich zu bewegen. Für einen Toilettengang derjenigen, die mehr Richtung Wand saßen hätten alle anderen aufstehen müssen, da man noch nicht einmal nach hinten wegrücken konnte. Bestellt war der Tisch für 11 Personen plus ein Kleinkind, für das ein Hochstuhl benötigt wurde. Letzteren gab es erst auf meine Nachfrage. Bis die Karte kam und dann die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde vergingen schon 30 Minuten. Nach der Vorsuppe, die zwar schnell am Tisch war, jedoch nur warm und nicht heiß, dauerte es eine Stunde, bis der Hauptgang serviert wurde. Auch der war zum größten Teil nur lauwarm. Geschmacklich gut, aber ich mag mein Essen lieber heiß serviert haben. Ein Dessert zu bestellen war dann nicht mehr möglich, da man uns, als wir bestellen wollten darauf hinwies, dass wir ja nur noch 10 Minuten hätten und die Nächsten schon warten würden. Wir orderten dann die Rechnung, die erst mal nicht kam. Stattdessen wurden wir erneut darauf hingewiesen, dass wir nun gehen müssten. Wir machten dann deutlich, dass wir schon weg wären, wenn wir denn mal zahlen dürften. Daraufhin wurde die Rechnung ausgehändigt und wir sind gegangen. Fürs nächste Jahr sollte der Betreiber lieber auf weniger Tische und besseren Service setzen. Auch die Küche sollte besser organisiert werden, denn wenn man schon nur 2 Stunden hat sollte es möglich sein, in der Zeit auch drei Gänge zu verspeisen. Das ist durchaus möglich, wenn man die Küche gut vorbereitet.

Waren heute essen am ersten Feiertag war sehr voll haben reserviert. Der Chef die Kellner die Köche sind der Hammer hat alles geschmeckt super lecker. Das Personal gibt alles. Wir haben uns noch nie so wohl gefühlt wie hier. Nochmal danke für alles Siegfried und Kerstin Zdonek

Wir waren im Zeitraum von 12 bis 14 Uhr in Ihrem Restaurant und hatten für diesen Zeitraum auch einen entsprechenden Zeitslot. Trotz dieses klar begrenzten Zeitfensters war der Besuch insgesamt äußerst enttäuschend. Nach unserer Bestellung mussten wir rund 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen warten, was bei einem Aufenthalt von nur zwei Stunden absolut inakzeptabel ist. Der Service war währenddessen kaum präsent. Getränke konnten wir ein einziges Mal zu Beginn bestellen. Eine weitere Getränkebestellung war nur mit viel Glück möglich, da sich kaum jemand zuständig fühlte und es praktisch keine Aufmerksamkeit am Tisch gab. Zusätzlich zog es an unserem Tisch extrem, sodass es dauerhaft unangenehm war, dort zu sitzen. Auch darauf wurde vom Service nicht eingegangen. Als das Essen schließlich serviert wurde, war die Enttäuschung dennoch groß. Der Geschmack der bestellten Speisen war zwar in Ordnung, rechtfertigt jedoch in keiner Weise die extrem lange Wartezeit. Zudem waren etwa zwei Drittel der Speisen nur lauwarm und das bestellte Steak war komplett durchgebraten, obwohl es anders bestellt wurde. Eine Nachfrage, ob alles in Ordnung sei, oder ein Entgegenkommen seitens des Personals erfolgte nicht. Insgesamt entsprach dieser Besuch in keiner Weise den Erwartungen. Weder organisatorisch noch qualitativ konnte das Restaurant überzeugen. Gerade zur Mittagszeit zwischen 12 und 14 Uhr sollte ein reibungsloser Ablauf selbstverständlich sein. Leider war dies hier überhaupt nicht der Fall.

Wir waren am ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag dort und hatten ein Zeitfenster von 14Uhr. Wir haben einen Tisch nahe der Tür und die ganze Zeit gefroren. Das Preise für das Essen wurde für Weihnachten extra erhöht und die Kapazität des Restaurants weit überschritten. Resultat: ungemütlich , kalt, Essen schlechter als sonst, Essen teuerer als sonst, wartende und genervte Kunden, usw. Reine Profitgier hat unser Weihnachtsessen zu keinem schönen Erlebnis gemacht. Für uns das letzte Mal!

Gutes, schmackhaftes Essen in angenehmer Atmosphäre

Update: Christmas Eve! Roast goose and wild boar – delicious and more than enough. I just had a perfectly chilled König Pilsner outside. Service and price were good!

After a long break due to bad experiences in the past, we decided to give this restaurant another try today. The service was attentive and friendly, and the menu was quite appealing. However, the quality of the dishes we ordered varied considerably depending on how they arrived at our table. One poultry dish was unfortunately undercooked and only became edible on the second attempt. The overall taste was rather average. The soup of the day was a definite highlight. The restrooms were modern and adequate, but the restaurant is not wheelchair accessible.

My absolute favorite dish is onion rump steak! In summer, you can eat and drink outside. The service is great, and I always enjoy going there.

Cozy restaurant, with good food.

We ate there with our wedding party (13 people) on Friday. The service was wonderfully friendly! Everyone enjoyed the food! Main course and dessert 😋 It made our day perfect. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Nice place, relatively straightforward menu. The service is good and unobtrusive. When the weather's nice, you can sit in the beer garden. So, thumbs up.

After 20 minutes, we had to call for permission to order two main courses. They arrived at our table an hour later, without service and without a word of apology. The veal schnitzel was small and had a sloppy coating, greasy fried potatoes, and greasy chanterelle mushrooms. Vegetable plates were sometimes cold with a fried egg slapped on top. A culinary high point...

I had seasonal vegetables with hollandaise sauce. The vegetables were lukewarm, on a cold plate. You had to look closely to find the hollandaise sauce. There was a fried egg on the plate, which I would have preferred without it, and I hadn't ordered any croquettes either. I would have preferred fresh, hot vegetables with a generous amount of sauce, after all, that's what I ordered. It's a shame; I wouldn't recommend it, especially since the wait times were very long. We were only allowed to place our orders after asking, and we waited forever for the food and the bill.

It was too busy to cook a proper steak. It was just too dry and rock hard.

It used to be better, the wheat beer was stale and not fresh and the food was little, the meat was lukewarm to cold and there were a handful of fries.

We wanted to eat there after a walk with our dog. I asked the waiter if I could get some water for the dog, to which he replied that he didn't have a container to fill it with water. And he didn't know where the dog bowl was. This was so rude that we left.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the positive reviews. I had a rump steak with pepper sauce and beans. The steak was very thin and overcooked, and the flavor was absolutely not good. The pepper sauce was a watered-down, ready-made sauce. The beans were cold, and the bacon in them was more or less raw. The best thing on the plate were the croquettes. Even the beer wasn't really cold and had little carbonation. The menus were dirty and some were already falling apart. Unfortunately, my visit there was a complete disaster.

Always happy to come back. Today, we went for dinner very spontaneously with four people. Four different dishes, all of them delicious. Drinks, from beer to coffee, Aperol, and espresso, were all perfect. I highly recommend it. The nice gentleman who served us the entire time was simply amazing; always friendly and very accommodating. The gentleman was alone the entire time we were there, and no one had to wait long.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance after a dog walk in the Rotbach Valley. The beer garden could use a bit of sprucing up. The food was excellent, and the service was good too. I haven't had such a delicious Balkan dish in a long time. Even with three dogs, it was no problem at all to have a good time there.

In the kitchen, more emphasis should be placed on sauces and side dishes. Despite the variety of dishes and the differences in the sauces, the sauces were recognizable as a standard, powdered sauce. Individual additions were chosen sparingly. The side dishes were the same for different dishes. There was a lack of creativity here.

We were here for the first time yesterday, and first, the positives: the outdoor seating is very nice and the service is friendly. The food is delicious. And now the negatives: the portions are too small for the price. Yes, other restaurants in this category are more expensive, but they come with a salad from the buffet and a lot more on your plate.

We have had dinner here a total of 5 times and have experienced light and shadow. Exactly what was ordered was delivered twice and was very tasty with friendly and fast service. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed 3 times, the wrong food was brought and they didn't even apologize for it. What made us stop visiting the restaurant is that last time the grilled feta we ordered had nothing to do with the actual dish. A tasteless cheese substitute was served without saying a word about it, and of course the normal price was charged. It's a shame about the restaurant, which is actually in a nice location.

Recommended Balkan restaurant: well prepared and tasty. Absolute no-go: The entrance is in a bay window of the facade. This area, protected from the wind and covered, is used by staff and guests as a smoking area. This means that every new guest has to go through this smoking den and brings a good bit of ashtray smell and smoke into the guest room. Which host tolerates something like that?

We were there at short notice on Saturday and for the first time. My family is completely thrilled. Also my relatives from Hamburg. Compliment. We dined very well. Sitting fine. We were able to have a great time even though it was very busy. Service tip top. Super friendly. Therefore 5 stars in all areas.

Had on December 24th. Reserved a table and looked at the menu online in advance. With anticipation, we showed up on time and were presented with a reduced menu, understandably for the Christmas season. Unfortunately, not a single vegetarian dish was offered. When asked, it was only with difficulty and with the involvement of another waiter that a "composition" of vegetables with croquettes and potatoes was suggested, to which I then agreed. I was handed a very clear plate, each with 2 croquettes and 2 potatoes, some vegetables, with a strip of light sauce. Unfortunately, we didn't get full while everyone else got really good portions. I find it really astonishing that there are still restaurants today where vegetarians are disrespected in this way. As a vegetarian, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Very tasty food. Good lunch menu and good menu. Nice ambience, friendly staff and fast service. Grill plate was just the right amount and tasty. The medallions were on point and delicious too. Cinnamon mascarpone for dessert (see photo). We'd love to come back.

Pan Hirschkamp: the meat was good, as were the fried potatoes. You searched in vain for the chanterelles, instead there were mushrooms from a jar, the sauce was more convinience than freshly cooked. I would have liked some vegetables or salad on the side.

I often eat here with my parents and, as always, we are blown away. Price/performance is outstanding. You really can't complain about the price as it's really good value for money. Nevertheless, the quality of the food is at a high level. In my opinion, there is something here for young and old. It is also a successful change from all the newfangled restaurant chains that only work on “quick, quick, quick”. All in all, I support this traditional restaurant and can recommend it to everyone.

I cannot agree with the positive descriptions. The staff was friendly but very hectic. We could have returned the food. We (4 people) were all disappointed. The meat was fried to death, the liver was grilled poorly or not at all and was stringy and there was a lot of skimping on sauces. And the salad came from the bag with ready-made dressing. This restaurant is no longer an option for us.

Friendly, thoughtful service; A starter soup is served with the delicious food on the lunch menu, unfortunately no small dessert. We chose the mixed 'lunch plate', one with fish, one with meat. Only the French fries in the meat version were a bit too hard and no mayonnaise was served, Aivar was deliciously spicy. Washroom found clean. Definitely worth further visits.

Table was ordered in advance. The photos of the dishes provided are exaggerated. The portions are significantly smaller. Steaks were much smaller than 200g. After we mentioned this in a friendly manner, we were virtually overlooked by the staff.

The dishes were tasty, but too expensive for the portion size. Some of the service staff did not respond to us, but contradicted us when we pointed out the lack of carbon dioxide in the beer or when we wanted to position the high chair differently than the service staff wanted. The rooms have close seating, so you don't want to linger longer than necessary.

Unfortunately, I have to say that the owners are really strange. Were there at least once a week, celebrated every birthday there and were always treated like friends. Unfortunately today we weren't recognized, we weren't greeted as always and there wasn't a farewell schnapps either. Unfortunately they were treated like strangers. Really strange, we won't come back for a while...

Overall it was okay. Unfortunately the restaurant is not air conditioned. When it's 31 degrees outside, it's almost unbearable inside. The food was quite tasty. The service staff was divided into two parts. When it came to eating, everything went very quickly and everything you wanted was served. At a late hour, glasses were no longer cleared away and the staff became a bit rude. Maybe it was the heat, but I still see room for improvement when you have a large group of guests who also ate and drank properly.
