We went there for dinner today. 1 Jägerschnitzel, 1 Zigeuner-style schnitzel. I noticed that my Jägerschnitzel was only moderately warm and then further discovered that it was still half-raw. That's completely unacceptable. I complained about it when I paid. The waiter said that shouldn't be allowed. They then called the kitchen to tell me that the schnitzels needed to be left in longer. There was no apology, no espresso, or anything like that. The König is pretty worn out, and the restrooms are dirty. The waiters also look sloppy and like to gather at the bar to chat. There's no class at the König at all. I wouldn't eat there again.

The food and ambiance are okay, but the service is a disaster... we waited almost an hour for drinks...

The service was nice, but inattentive. Some tables weren't cleared; ours wasn't cleared until we asked, and it wasn't cleaned for us until we asked. The ashtray from our predecessors wasn't cleaned. The prices are beyond hefty. €17.90 for a small schnitzel and a handful of fried potatoes, plus €1 each for a dollop of mayo and €1 for a dollop of ketchup. The lunch specials were also, unfortunately, not that tasty. The schnitzel was tough, and the hunter's sauce included a whopping three slices of mushrooms. Unfortunately, the sauce tasted overly seasoned, like a packet of sauce should. But the real standout for us were the drink prices: €5.20 for a 0.4L Pepsi, 1/4 of which was ice cubes. €5.50 for a 0.4L passion fruit spritzer? Plus, it was three-quarters water and unfortunately contained very little juice. Sorry, with a total bill of almost 50 euros for two lunches and a drink each, there's no room for a tip for the friendly service. Unfortunately, the restrooms were just as dirty: the floor was sticky, there was paper everywhere, and an unpleasant smell. What a shame! I can't recommend it, and we won't be back.

I don't understand some of the reviews. The waiter came quickly and served us. Drinks arrived 5 minutes later, and the food about 20 minutes later. It was delicious and the taste was exactly what I expected from a pepper schnitzel with fried potatoes. It was delicious 😋

One star is actually too much. We had to wait 15 minutes before anyone even came, and I cleared the table myself in the meantime. Then our drinks arrived after 30 minutes, and one was even forgotten. We ordered Belgian waffles for 6.50, and they arrived after a total of 50 minutes. What they served us was an absolute disgrace. The waiter was extremely inexperienced and insecure. The order was written on the beer mat, as was our bill. It would be better to close the place down.

Several events take place throughout the year, and the restaurant still can't manage to provide decent service. The three of us sat outside, and there were even several free tables. Since none of the tables had been cleaned yet, we took care of it ourselves. After almost 15 minutes, we were finally able to order. After another 15 minutes, our drinks still hadn't arrived. The waiters were clearly overwhelmed. On top of that, the kitchen was already closed, meaning the waiters were essentially just bringing drinks. Especially at events, you should make sure you have enough staff on site.

A pleasant restaurant, a great place to sit and admire the crowd. 😌 The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is of very good quality and arrives quickly, which suggests structured preparation. The mixed grill is a dream! Highly recommended. 👍🏻

I had a wine schnitzel with fries today, but the lemon that was listed was missing. When I asked, I was told they didn't have any. Five minutes later, another guest ordered the same dish. It was strange, since the lemon had been included. But all in all, it was great for the price.

A place where I like to meet friends when I'm visiting. Between dinner, sipping cocktails, and partying—there's something for everyone. The box office has Munich prices, but that doesn't necessarily detract from the overall experience.

So we waited 20 minutes for a waiter, who only came when we asked. Then we waited another 10 minutes for the beer. And then we actually ordered two small beers and they just handed us two large ones. We deliberately didn't say anything because we didn't want to wait that long again. Both glasses were dirty around the rims. The staff were nice but overwhelmed and had little idea about serving. We'd rather go somewhere else to eat.

We happened to stop by before a Judas Priest concert in the arena. They were already preparing for the guests, and that music was playing there, so we immediately felt "at home." We sat outside, received excellent service, and we all had spear ribs, which we all agree were the best we've had in Germany so far. And all for a really reasonable price. When it started to pour with rain, they proactively accommodated us so we could eat "in peace." That's just the short version. It's definitely worth a visit, and we'd love to come back!

The food is very good. Pricewise 👌 We ate there for lunch, so we can't say what it's like in the evening. But if you want something delicious for lunch, König is a good choice.

The tables were very dirty and the food was a huge disappointment. The portions were small, the size of a child's plate, and the other food was lukewarm. The staff tried hard, but it didn't change the cleanliness or the quality of the food.

Such a nice, sweet waitress! She rocked the whole place on Friday night, serving food to tables, working the bar, being friendly and attentive, and making delicious cocktails. I'd love to come back!

Visited this restaurant today (30 may 2025) and i have to say that reading all the reviews here about the food and place that i cant really say anything really like this. We ordered both the "jagerschnitzel" and for afterwards seeing the price it was more than ok. If the price would had been more for this smaller portion then it would be bad. From taste i can say it was pretty good just like a schnitzel should be. So for me a 4 star review. Maybe we were lucky during this visit, let's see during my next visit(s).

Restaurant didn't make a good impression at all! We waited 3/4 hour for our food and 4 out of 5 dishes were completely cold. I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail for €10 and a small glass came! Outrageously expensive. Staff is not good. Orders forgotten and not attentive at all. When we wanted to pay she didn't have €30 in change. Looked at us and said: I can't change that. Then she left her wallet on our table and then got some after we told her that we only wanted to pay in cash. Extremely unprofessional. First and last time there.

Then wait, wait, wait again until the food comes. It was cold because it probably sat there forever until it came to the table. It tasted good, but that was it. It's better not to have any other requests for drinks. It took so much time before you could pay that you could almost eat dinner again. But certainly not there... You should take a look at the reviews first.

I've been trying to reserve a table for ages. There is no response to my reservation request via the homepage or my emails. Nobody ever answers the phone and my messages on the answering machine are not responded to. I have rarely experienced such poor customer service. Unfortunately only one star!

Actually a nice catering company, unfortunately it didn't show its best side, at least during our visit. We ordered the self-proclaimed bestseller: the spare ribs, veggie burgers and the homemade lemonade. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not at the level you would expect given the ambience and prices. Spareribs as a box office hit were very firm and therefore could not convey the delicate eating feeling of good spareribs. But that was still tolerable. Unfortunately the homemade lemonade wasn't homemade either but rather syrup in water. The burger was the worst thing to impress. Bun, salad etc. everything was great and fresh but the patty was just soggy. With a single price of over 10 euros, I would have at least expected the quality to be higher than that of a cheap burger from a fast food chain. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. The best came last. The service person asked if everything was okay, I described our perception in a similar way to this. The answer and final reaction was: "Okay!" Then you paid and went your way. There are certainly a lot of good experiences, unfortunately ours was like that and we won't be able to welcome you back there for a while.

(This one was with onion rings instead of tomatoes). But the hamburger was on the bill. So it's not the waiter's fault, it's also the kitchen's fault. All in all very disappointing. We won't go there anymore. We didn't tip either, even though we felt sorry for the waiter.

We walked past the place during the week and saw the happy hour sign. A cocktail for €6.20 is a good price, so we decided to go. We were almost the only ones in the place. It was cold and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the cocktails weren't particularly good either, even for the price. The service was still super friendly. I do have one complaint about the restrooms. They weren't very clean, and there was no soap in any of the dispensers in the women's clothing section.

I came here with my friend and family to eat after a day of shopping. At 6.45 pm my friend and I ordered a drink and chicken wings* were quite hungry. 1 hour later the chicken wings arrived but were still frozen. Then the chicken wings arrived at 8:00 PM but were burnt. Ordered snitzels at 7:15 PM... meanwhile we are still waiting for our snitzels at 8:30 PM. We will never come back here again!

We had booked a table for 5 p.m., after asking twice whether a waiter would come and take the order at some point. We were put off. There would be no waiter responsible for that area today. When we asked for the operations manager, we were told he was not there. If you want to eat something you should look elsewhere. After this statement, we and other guests left. If you don't want to work and don't want to earn money, then so be it. We'll never eat at König again!!!

Hello, I’ll start with the fact that on March 8th, my friends and I decided to have a good evening, we came to this establishment... well, it all started with the fact that the waiter had to directly shout to pay attention to us, we had a table full of empty dishes and he just walked by. We waited for our order for 1 hour 20 minutes, we ordered two plateau grills and looking at the photo we expected that there would be a lot of meat for a company of 4 people.....but they brought us a mountain of fries and 3 pieces of meat......we were shocked, I recommend everyone to find any other establishment in this location and it will definitely be better than this..... And the most amazing thing is that a dish based on French fries costs 30 €, seriously?))) This is just an eatery and not a full-fledged establishment. 0 out of 10.

First of all, the staff was great. They were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was very attractive and well furnished. What wasn't good at all was the food. The fried potatoes don't deserve the name. They were limp and more than greasy. I'm assuming they were some from the freezer. The schnitzel wasn't much better. I definitely won't eat there anymore.

Unfortunately I cannot give a positive review. First the wrong salad was brought, which was quickly replaced, but we had to give it back as the dressing wasn't good and the salad wasn't fresh. The spare ribs that we ordered were warmed up, not cooked through and unfortunately almost cold. Unfortunately not!

We were there on New Year's Eve to drink after 9 p.m. and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally the waiters aren't that friendly, but New Year's Eve was great! We were at the New Year's Eve party on December 31, 24 with a buffet and drinks flat rate at the König. The drinks were okay except for the "so-called" cocktails which were simply poured together with alcohol and juice We were also disappointed that there wasn't even a glass of champagne to toast with at the turn of the year. When we asked, we were told they didn't have any and that you could toast with something else. The so-called surprises that were advertised in the flyer didn't happen either. For a price At €99 per person I really would have expected more. I can't recommend it. You can get better elsewhere for this price.

We hebben gevraagd of we de korting op de cocktails al mochten krijgen. Geen probleem. Echter hij afrekenen gewoon de volle mep moeten betalen. Geen discussie. Hadden ze verkeerd begrepen en ik had gewoon pech. Baas erbij. Maar ook dat mocht niet baten. Je wordt gewoon misleid. Denk dat ze dit vaker doen bij de toerist. Verhaaltje ging wel erg soepel.

Nicht einmal das Bier wird richtig gezapft . Schmutzige sowie defekte Gläser und das Essen (die Spareribs trieften vor Fett ganz zu Schweigen von den sich dazugesellten gerösteten Kartoffeln). Der Hamburger wurde auf flacher Schieferplatte serviert und beim Essen wurde es immer unappetitlicher. Das Schnitzel war Festfleisch. Das ganze wurde abgerundet mit einer überforderten Bedienung.

Also jedes Essen war nicht zu empfehlen. Und es kam noch nicht mal eine Entschuldigung,obwohl wir den Kellner Bescheid gegeben hatten.War das letzte mal

Not recommended. Last week we were there and had a leisurely coffee. Today we were spoken to rudely by a waiter. They said they were a restaurant and wouldn't give coffee. The manner and mocking manner was very rude, so we don't recommend it.

After reopening, this store has potential. + upper area very pleasant and open to guests (not just VIP) + 10€ entrance fee + 2€ cloakroom stops some unnecessary guests from coming in. + Security doesn't let people who are too drunk in and they do their job well. - Card payment possible from 15€ downstairs at the bar. We had dinner there with the practice on Saturday...it's a shame we didn't look at the reviews beforehand. It is absolutely not recommended! Some of the dishes came to the table cold...if you like to eat with your eyes, you unfortunately lost out there too. Very carelessly done! Even when it came to drinks, you had the impression that the König team didn't really want to make money... All in all, it was a total failure and definitely not recommended if you value food. The staff also left a lot of points behind with their friendliness!

People with Dsquared shirts disrespectfully pushed us aside at the bar table...armed with a bottle we had ordered and a cooler...the waiter greeted his friends brotherly and laughed...the place used to be nice with the evening disco... now no longer an option for me.

Four of us were there after the new opening. It is now much more open than before, certainly better for dancing as it is no longer so narrow. ...but We had ordered something to drink, which tasted really disgusting.....when I asked to try it at the bar, they looked at me like I was from another planet!!! After we got the new drink I have to say that there was more ice in the glass than there was to drink...and it only tasted slightly better!!! Well, they probably forgot how to make cocktails during the renovation... it's a shame... now you can forget about Westfield Centro...

Very simple but cozy atmosphere, the service was absolutely top notch, totally friendly and humane with maximum understanding for small children and their peculiarities. The food was very filling and tasty for the price. A small downer: unfortunately the steak was not medium but well done. After the otherwise good meal, I can recommend fresh mint tea (real mint leaves) to digest. If we ever find ourselves in Oberhausen again, we definitely won't just walk past the king.
