Gastronomy as you would expect! The food, ambiance, and, above all, the personal service from the owner exceeded our expectations.

The rooms were OK, the bed a little dated, but otherwise everything was good. Friendly service and a generous breakfast... There was something for every taste.

We booked this hotel for a short trip. It's very centrally located, and the Old Town, Wartburg Castle, and hiking trails are all within easy reach. The rooms are very large and spacious, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We didn't lack for anything at breakfast either. If I had one complaint, it would be that you have to pay an extra ten euros per day for parking. Something like that could be included in the price.

Very nice experience restaurant; we took part in the medieval meal, very tasteful presentation, great service & very nice and imaginative staff; another visit is planned.

We were here with a large group. Reservations and booked dinners—everything worked out well. Our room on the 4th floor was small and not quite modern. The shower in the small bathroom, however, was a disaster. The shower head is old, the cold water control was very difficult, and after showering, the bathroom was completely flooded. The shower stall leaks. The room is very clean, though. Thanks to the friendly cleaning staff. Breakfast is okay. A Bircher muesli and fresh yogurt would have been a welcome addition. Egg dishes are freshly prepared. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy dinner; the "deer" must have been a bit old. The service staff is very friendly. However, the hotel restaurant closes at 10 p.m.

I stayed at this hotel for a conference and enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there. The food was consistently very good and fresh, and the breakfast selection was extensive. The service was always friendly and attentive. Overall, a very pleasant experience - therefore deserves 4 stars!

I think it's great to find a restaurant on Sunday lunchtime without a reservation! There is classic German home cooking and, of course, a dish of dumplings on Sundays.

All the food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Really correct people there, takes a little longer than you're used to at kebab stalls, but really tasty, well made and top accommodating service

We're not from here and have eaten here twice in the past 2 years and were thrilled every time. The pizza here will definitely fill you up and we can highly recommend the pizza, the surprise of the house. Would come here again and again 🥰

Right on the hiking trail to Wartburg Castle. A wonderful spot.

May 1st with live music from “sunny_side_up” was stunning and thrilled us. Dinner today as well: delicious drinks, great food, great price/performance ratio &, above all, super nice “support” from the boss team Ingo & Lara.
