Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, schneller und gut organisierter Service und moderne Speisekarte mit internationalen Gerichten. Das Essen war schmackhaft und mit Bedacht angerichtet. Gutes Preis-Lesitungsverhältnis. Reservierung ist am Wochenende anzuraten.

Very tasty food. They are very courteous waiters. They try everything to make the guest feel comfortable here. Even spontaneously without a reservation with 5 people and a dog, they made a place possible. However, a reservation is strongly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pictures of the food speak for themselves. It is very, very tasty and has something for everyone.

We are on vacation from North Rhine-Westphalia and since we wanted to see something different than the hotel restaurant, we googled something and decided on the "old school". Our conclusion: top ambience, top food and top service. There were two of us and we had the liver and the carpaccio first and the baked schnitzel with pasta and the skewer for the main course. Since I don't drink alcohol, I ordered a Virgin Colada and that was great too. So everything was excellent and a 10/10 from us. As a wheelchair user you have to deal with steps due to the old building, but the staff here is very helpful so it was problem-free and everything was great. We were in Eisenach for the first time with 6 people, in the old school, and we were very impressed by the ambience, service, quality and friendliness. Thank you very much for a nice evening!!! A special thanks to the kitchen. All of our food tasted very, very tasty and was served promptly. I have rarely eaten a burger that tasted so good. Top! We were particularly fascinated by the Order Cube system. The boss then explained everything about the system to us. Very personable. This is how gastronomy works in 2024. Thank you again. Great atmosphere and very good service! Food very tasty.

We were there with a total of 6 people. The service staff was super nice and helpful. Our food was served to everyone at the same time and it was outstanding. A huge compliment to the kitchen team. What should be highlighted is the ordering system with a cube on each table. You press the “Service” button on the cube and someone from the service staff immediately comes and you can place your order. This also works great, when the restaurant is full. Really great. There is also a button with 'Pay' and someone from the service will come and you can pay. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Delicious food at a good address

Very nice restaurant. The setup is really successful and the service in conjunction with the Ordercube is really great. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. The antipasti plate is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the main courses during our visit could not be improved and the fried potatoes were unfortunately not fried potatoes.

The chef of this restaurant has chosen exactly the right profession - very, very good food! And the service in this modern, cozy atmosphere also deserves 5 stars.

It was our first time in the "Old School" and we were pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, nice staff and very tasty food. I had beef liver with fried potatoes and onions and for dessert, chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream... very tasty! In addition to meat dishes (beef, pork, chicken), the menu also includes burgers, pasta, seafood, pizza, etc. - there is something for every taste. People also came in without reservations and the employees tried to offer everyone a seat anyway. The prices were in the middle range, but completely ok for the quality. Highly recommended!

Actually, you can always find something to complain about.😉 But there was really nothing here. Individual wishes were taken into account. Dorade perfect and also the slightly different schnitzel creation with Parmigiano.

In the “old school” they try high-priced products. Offering country food. Service and quality just average, just too expensive + drinks. Ambience nice. Conclusion: Not recommended. That was the unanimous opinion of our entire group... Never again. There are much nicer, cheaper and better restaurants in Eisenach.

Very good food, friendly and attentive service staff and a pleasant atmosphere for all ages. Since the restaurant is located opposite the theater, it is very well prepared to perfectly round off your visit to the theater with a good dinner before or after the performance as a couple or with friends. Online reservation works, you will even be reminded of your appointment. In any case, we always enjoy coming back.

Service was top notch when ordering, they were a little unsure when it came to delivery, there's still room for improvement when it comes to eating, but that's partly a matter of taste, I really like the ambience.

The food was very good and plentiful and we didn't have to wait long. Great atmosphere and the waiters were super friendly. Alleine schon das moderne Ambiente, fanden wir ansprechend, auch der stets freundliche Service trotz vollem Haus. Das Essen war super lecker. Burger, veganen Antipastiteller(hat gut zu zweit gereicht), Rindfleisch japanischer Art und Pannacotta, waren hervorragend. Alle Speisen die zu anderen Gästen getragen wurden, sahen ansprechend aus. Went here for dinner at the Old School this evening!! Big compliments to the kitchen, the antipasti and the rack of lamb were awesome! Perfect! Great service and the furnishings are also impressive! It's a shame that the vacation was over, otherwise we would have come back the next day! If you don't visit the restaurant, it's your own fault

Great evening with good food, friendly service and a top host!

Good and fast service. The cocktails are delicious. Our burger was good. But the bacon could have been a little crispier. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible. Why? Everything else in the restaurant is state of the art. You have a cube at the table to call the waitress or ask for the bill. The orders were processed digitally, using a tablet. It is incomprehensible why savings are made at the last meter when it comes to payment options.

We were in Eisenach for the first time and met for a family celebration. Since we also had children with us, it was also important to me that children's dishes were also on the menu. We had a great evening at the "Alte Schule" today. I haven't eaten so well in a long time and I haven't received such friendly service in a long time! Everything goes well here, from starters to snacks! Anyone who stops in Eisenach should stop by here and see how wonderful gastronomy can work. I'm excited! 👏

We found the restaurant by chance. It was just great.

I went to the old school for the first time. After I was initially skeptical about the seating on the street, I have to say that I found it very comfortable. The “green” gave you the feeling of privacy while eating. The service was friendly, courteous and concerned about our well-being throughout. The food on the menu was pleasant. My chosen Chicken Crispy Burger exceeded my expectations. It was just great. All in all, I would always recommend it. Price wise it was fair.

Very nice service. The side salad was prepared with a lot of love and was rich. Chicken curry was very tasty and filling. Nice outside seating.

It is an impertinence to serve dry schnitzel with pale fries for a frozen schnitzel straight from the deep fryer. You first have to find such sharp knives with which you can cut it. Tap water, where it is mentioned that fine filtration is required for 5.50, is unbelievable. Never again.... rest stop level!!!

Das Restaurant liegt zentral in Eisenach und ist leicht erreichbar. Viele schöne Sitzgelegenheit im Innen- und Außenbereich. Der Service grundsätzlich sehr bemüht und auch in ausreichender Zahl vorhanden. Leider sind einige Details nicht geeignet, um einen Besuch zu wiederholen. Einerseits war das Flaschenbier nicht gekühlt und auch das zweite, was getauscht, wurde ebenfalls nicht in einer angemessenen Temperatur serviert worden. Weiter werden die Speisen den Preis nicht wirklich gerecht, hier fehlt es im Detail einfach an Qualität. Ein Beilagen Salat verdient Dressing, darüber sollte man nicht diskutieren müssen.

Very tasty food with very friendly and courteous service. What's interesting is that on each table there is a small glowing cube with different buttons that you can use to request service, bill, etc. This works brilliantly. We each had Greek-style liver and were very satisfied. There are also a few tables outside in the large square with a nice view of the theater opposite. Definitely a recommendation from us!👍👍

We arrived very late, when the kitchen was closing, and were still warmly welcomed and perfectly looked after. The food was very good, hospitality was great. Absolute recommendation.

A really nice and stylish atmosphere, paired with friendly service, good food and delicious drinks! Thanks to the Rubik's cube on the table, a service employee was always ready to receive all requests and fulfill them immediately! Very refreshing compared to some of what is sold as a “service” today. Since we were a large group, we had 7 different dishes to try, including the simple schnitzel with fries, and the feedback on all dishes was consistently positive. Would definitely come back again and recommend the restaurant.
