When we were looking for a suitable place for our dinner, we ended up in this restaurant more or less by chance. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. The staff is always friendly and helpful with questions about the memory card, and smaller extras weren't a problem either. The food is of very good quality and very tasteful. We spent 2 lovely evenings here. We have already booked the restaurant for our next visit to Eisenach.

I found the food very good. The fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The lamb was juicy and really well seasoned. (Thanks to the kitchen!💪🏻👏🏻). The service was very nice and friendly, but not overly friendly (among other things: I can't remember when the staff held the door open for me when I was leaving a restaurant👍🏻) and the atmosphere is very appealing. There was also a piece of cake with a fountain for the birthday child. 😀 I can recommend you with complete satisfaction. Thank you and see you soon!!

We were in Eisenach over the weekend and even spontaneously got a table here. Reservation desired and also necessary. I think the ordering system is great, but opinions differ on that. See image. Food was great. It doesn't look like much, but it's enough and it's super tasty. Prices are standard. We'd love to come back when we're nearby.

On Sunday we went to the old school for a birthday dinner. The young, very nice, dynamic waiter had everything under control, despite the many guests. Unfortunately I forgot the name. I think it started with K. We would be happy to come back.

Very great restaurant, upscale ambience and super friendly staff. Anyone who has such a great boss is of course motivated and enjoys working there. Of course the guests notice this and feel comfortable. The menu offers a great and sufficient selection of different dishes. There is something for everyone! I had the picanha with fantastic chimichurri. My colleagues were just as happy and satisfied with the taste of their food. Incredibly delicious! Greetings and big compliments to the kitchen. You deliver absolutely great! I ordered the LavaCake for dessert because I wanted to eat a little more. Even though I am more partial to hearty dishes, the dessert was of the same high quality as the main course and also deserves unqualified praise. As someone who loves to eat, I would have liked the portion to be larger. I would have liked to have ordered more at an additional cost. An indication of the weight of the meat portion would make it easier to estimate the portion size. In summary, everything was so fantastic that it would not be justified to give it less than 5 stars, despite the larger portion I wanted.

Why weren't we here earlier? Everything fits here, the food is very tasty and there are dishes that you can't get everywhere. The service is very nice, open-minded and very fast. In general, you really feel like a guest here and welcome in a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We were in Eisenach for the first time. The Old School was close to the hotel and had great reviews. So it’s totally clear, let’s try that. It's not a "fancy" restaurant, but a really good one. The ambience is fine, the only thing that was annoying was that the door was often left open. Service was quick and friendly, supported by so-called “order cubes”. That was a really successful tool! We shared a tomahawk steak. That was absolutely great! To the point medium-rare, simply seasoned, but absolutely delicious. Just right for two hungry people. The side dishes weren't quite as good, the fries were average and a bit cold. The steak, however, tore it all out! I recommend the Rioja, it went perfectly. If we're in the area again and feel like eating meat, we'll be happy to come back!

Very tasty food. They are very courteous waiters. They try everything to make the guest feel comfortable here. Even spontaneously without a reservation with 5 people and a dog, they made a place possible. However, a reservation is strongly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The pictures of the food speak for themselves. It is very, very tasty and has something for everyone.

We are on vacation from North Rhine-Westphalia and since we wanted to see something different than the hotel restaurant, we googled something and decided on the "old school". Our conclusion: top ambience, top food and top service. There were two of us and we had the liver and the carpaccio first and the baked schnitzel with pasta and the skewer for the main course. Since I don't drink alcohol, I ordered a Virgin Colada and that was great too. So everything was excellent and a 10/10 from us. As a wheelchair user you have to deal with steps due to the old building, but the staff here is very helpful so it was problem-free and everything was great. We were there with a total of 6 people. The service staff was super nice and helpful. Our food was served to everyone at the same time and it was outstanding. A huge compliment to the kitchen team. What should be highlighted is the ordering system with a cube on each table. You press the “Service” button on the cube and someone from the service staff immediately comes and you can place your order. This also works great, when the restaurant is full. Really great. There is also a button with 'Pay' and someone from the service will come and you can pay. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Delicious food at a good address

Very nice restaurant. The setup is really successful and the service in conjunction with the Ordercube is really great. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. The antipasti plate is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the main courses during our visit could not be improved and the fried potatoes were unfortunately not fried potatoes.

The chef of this restaurant has chosen exactly the right profession - very, very good food! And the service in this modern, cozy atmosphere also deserves 5 stars.

It was our first time in the "Old School" and we were pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, nice staff and very tasty food. I had beef liver with fried potatoes and onions and for dessert, chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream... very tasty! In addition to meat dishes (beef, pork, chicken), the menu also includes burgers, pasta, seafood, pizza, etc. - there is something for every taste. People also came in without reservations and the employees tried to offer everyone a seat anyway. The prices were in the middle range, but completely ok for the quality. Highly recommended!

Actually, you can always find something to complain about.😉 But there was really nothing here. Individual wishes were taken into account. Dorade perfect and also the slightly different schnitzel creation with Parmigiano.

In the “old school” they try high-priced products. Offering country food. Service and quality just average, just too expensive + drinks. Ambience nice. Conclusion: Not recommended. That was the unanimous opinion of our entire group... Never again. There are much nicer, cheaper and better restaurants in Eisenach.

Since the restaurant is located opposite the theater, it is very well prepared to perfectly round off your visit to the theater with a good dinner before or after the performance as a couple or with friends. Online reservation works, you will even be reminded of your appointment. In any case, we always enjoy coming back.

Service was top notch when ordering, they were a little unsure when it came to delivery, there's still room for improvement when it comes to eating, but that's partly a matter of taste, I really like the ambience.

Alleine schon das moderne Ambiente, fanden wir ansprechend, auch der stets freundliche Service trotz vollem Haus. Das Essen war super lecker. Burger, veganen Antipastiteller(hat gut zu zweit gereicht), Rindfleisch japanischer Art und Pannacotta, waren hervorragend. Alle Speisen die zu anderen Gästen getragen wurden, sahen ansprechend aus. Good and fast service. The cocktails are delicious. Our burger was good. But the bacon could have been a little crispier. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible. Why? Everything else in the restaurant is state of the art. You have a cube at the table to call the waitress or ask for the bill. The orders were processed digitally, using a tablet. It is incomprehensible why savings are made at the last meter when it comes to payment options.

The “green” gave you the feeling of privacy while eating. The service was friendly, courteous and concerned about our well-being throughout. The food on the menu was pleasant. My chosen Chicken Crispy Burger exceeded my expectations. It was just great. All in all, I would always recommend it. Price wise it was fair.

Das Restaurant liegt zentral in Eisenach und ist leicht erreichbar. Viele schöne Sitzgelegenheit im Innen- und Außenbereich. Der Service grundsätzlich sehr bemüht und auch in ausreichender Zahl vorhanden. Leider sind einige Details nicht geeignet, um einen Besuch zu wiederholen. Einerseits war das Flaschenbier nicht gekühlt und auch das zweite, was getauscht, wurde ebenfalls nicht in einer angemessenen Temperatur serviert worden. Weiter werden die Speisen den Preis nicht wirklich gerecht, hier fehlt es im Detail einfach an Qualität. Ein Beilagen Salat verdient Dressing, darüber sollte man nicht diskutieren müssen.

Very tasty food with very friendly and courteous service. What's interesting is that on each table there is a small glowing cube with different buttons that you can use to request service, bill, etc. This works brilliantly. We each had Greek-style liver and were very satisfied. There are also a few tables outside in the large square with a nice view of the theater opposite. Definitely a recommendation from us!👍👍
