The three of us ate here after the theater performance. Despite the high occupancy, we were served individually and very nicely. The food is very good. The non-alcoholic cocktails are recommended.

You really notice this with schnitzel and fish. The breaded fish came quite cold. Sauce from the Christmas special goulash was cracked, schnitzel was square but tasted good.

I was a guest with a friend on Saturday at short notice. We were lucky that we got a place for 2 at short notice without a long reservation.🤩 The service was very good, friendly, attentive and accommodating. The veggie burger is extremely tasty and I can only recommend the cocktails, which are also very tasty and exceptional. The ambience was very nice and cozy, the atmosphere was relaxed even though there was a lot going on. The music later in the evening also suited our tastes exactly. We really felt very comfortable and would love to come back 🤩

We were there for dinner on St. Nicholas Eve. Was greeted directly at the entrance and taken to the reserved table. In the back area of ​​the restaurant near our table there was a kind of counter that is used more as a storage area, which is not very appealing compared to the rest of the atmosphere in the restaurant. The service cube on the table was interesting and helpful 👍 The clear menu offered no surprises. Our order came after a really short time, which meant a lot of preparation, as the dishes were repeated in different meat combinations. It was well prepared, but the potato side dishes were only moderately warm. The meat from the skewer was not as soft as we have often experienced in this combination. Here you should allow the prepared side dishes to pass through the pan again. The chicken breast and sauce were okay, but nothing that would surprise you. The service was quick and always friendly. Food as a once experience was okay and the furnishings too, except for the storage area mentioned...

When we were looking for a suitable place for our dinner, we ended up in this restaurant more or less by chance. We can recommend this restaurant with a clear conscience. The staff is always friendly and helpful with questions about the memory card, and smaller extras weren't a problem either. The food is of very good quality and very tasteful. We spent 2 lovely evenings here. We have already booked the restaurant for our next visit to Eisenach.

I found the food very good. The fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The lamb was juicy and really well seasoned. (Thanks to the kitchen!💪🏻👏🏻). The service was very nice and friendly, but not overly friendly (among other things: I can't remember when the staff held the door open for me when I was leaving a restaurant👍🏻) and the atmosphere is very appealing. There was also a piece of cake with a fountain for the birthday child. 😀 I can recommend you with complete satisfaction. Thank you and see you soon!!

On Sunday we went to the old school for a birthday dinner. The young, very nice, dynamic waiter had everything under control, despite the many guests. Unfortunately I forgot the name. I think it started with K. We would be happy to come back.

I had the picanha with fantastic chimichurri. My colleagues were just as happy and satisfied with the taste of their food. Incredibly delicious! Greetings and big compliments to the kitchen. You deliver absolutely great! I ordered the LavaCake for dessert because I wanted to eat a little more. Even though I am more partial to hearty dishes, the dessert was of the same high quality as the main course and also deserves unqualified praise. As someone who loves to eat, I would have liked the portion to be larger. I would have liked to have ordered more at an additional cost. An indication of the weight of the meat portion would make it easier to estimate the portion size. In summary, everything was so fantastic that it would not be justified to give it less than 5 stars, despite the larger portion I wanted.

Why weren't we here earlier? Everything fits here, the food is very tasty and there are dishes that you can't get everywhere. The service is very nice, open-minded and very fast. In general, you really feel like a guest here and welcome in a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

We were in Eisenach for the first time. The Old School was close to the hotel and had great reviews. So it’s totally clear, let’s try that. It's not a "fancy" restaurant, but a really good one. The ambience is fine, the only thing that was annoying was that the door was often left open. Service was quick and friendly, supported by so-called “order cubes”. That was a really successful tool! We shared a tomahawk steak. That was absolutely great! To the point medium-rare, simply seasoned, but absolutely delicious. Just right for two hungry people. The side dishes weren't quite as good, the fries were average and a bit cold. The steak, however, tore it all out! I recommend the Rioja, it went perfectly. If we're in the area again and feel like eating meat, we'll be happy to come back!

Even spontaneously without a reservation with 5 people and a dog, they made a place possible. However, a reservation is strongly recommended. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We are on vacation from North Rhine-Westphalia and since we wanted to see something different than the hotel restaurant, we googled something and decided on the "old school". Our conclusion: top ambience, top food and top service. There were two of us and we had the liver and the carpaccio first and the baked schnitzel with pasta and the skewer for the main course. Since I don't drink alcohol, I ordered a Virgin Colada and that was great too. So everything was excellent and a 10/10 from us. As a wheelchair user you have to deal with steps due to the old building, but the staff here is very helpful so it was problem-free and everything was great. A special thanks to the kitchen. All of our food tasted very, very tasty and was served promptly. I have rarely eaten a burger that tasted so good. Top! We were particularly fascinated by the Order Cube system. The boss then explained everything about the system to us. Very personable. This is how gastronomy works in 2024. Thank you again. We were there with a total of 6 people. The service staff was super nice and helpful. Our food was served to everyone at the same time and it was outstanding. A huge compliment to the kitchen team. What should be highlighted is the ordering system with a cube on each table. You press the “Service” button on the cube and someone from the service staff immediately comes and you can place your order. This also works great, when the restaurant is full. Really great. There is also a button with 'Pay' and someone from the service will come and you can pay. We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant without reservation.

The antipasti plate is highly recommended. Unfortunately, the main courses during our visit could not be improved and the fried potatoes were unfortunately not fried potatoes.

In addition to meat dishes (beef, pork, chicken), the menu also includes burgers, pasta, seafood, pizza, etc. - there is something for every taste. People also came in without reservations and the employees tried to offer everyone a seat anyway. The prices were in the middle range, but completely ok for the quality. Highly recommended!

That was the unanimous opinion of our entire group... Never again. There are much nicer, cheaper and better restaurants in Eisenach.

Burger, veganen Antipastiteller(hat gut zu zweit gereicht), Rindfleisch japanischer Art und Pannacotta, waren hervorragend. Alle Speisen die zu anderen Gästen getragen wurden, sahen ansprechend aus. Good and fast service. The cocktails are delicious. Our burger was good. But the bacon could have been a little crispier. Unfortunately, no card payment is possible. Why? Everything else in the restaurant is state of the art. You have a cube at the table to call the waitress or ask for the bill. The orders were processed digitally, using a tablet. It is incomprehensible why savings are made at the last meter when it comes to payment options.
