Fish snack Northern Lights in a sea container (NOT Restaurant LaMer) OPENING HOURS: Mondays are a day of rest and basic cleaning is carried out. Tue-Sun: 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. - HAZARD OF CONFUSION: Please do not confuse the opening times with the posh restaurant opposite. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. Imbiss Nordlicht has a BBQ grill on Sundays. PARK Free parking space in front of the door directly at the fish and fishing pond of the Weller fish farm (where you can fish for €25). Opposite is the noble restaurant “la Mer”. The BAKED FISH The fried fish is freshly breaded and fried in front of you. It is very large (whole fillet). Yes, it is real fish, of course it can also have bones You can also choose between rolls (€9) or homemade potato salad (€12) or just fries (€12). Plus a delicious, homemade tartar sauce and fresh lemons on top. The plates have a matching color in turquoise blue. Baked fish, hake (not pollock as usual). Since everything is fresh, items may sell out. DRINKS: are available in 0.33 l glass bottles in the refrigerator for self-service for €2.80. The service is extremely polite and friendly. BBQ GRILL: There is a large grill in the square in front of the snack container, which is fired up on Saturdays and Sundays. E.g. for shashlik skewers (see photos). WC: Toilets with sinks, separate for men and women, are located in a container to the left of the snack container The audience is mainly older people. As well as people who come during their lunch break. It's an idyllic place. There are also normal snack dishes (schnitzel, etc.).

We were there for an event and therefore couldn't enjoy all of the hotel's amenities (such as the sauna). The food concept runs charmingly throughout the entire hotel. There were lots of little details that could always make you smile. The lady at reception was extremely friendly. Our room was on the 4th floor right next to Bucket Big Street. I'm afraid that it could be noisy on a weekday because the windows are partially closed. However, we didn't have the problem over the weekend. The windows can be "darkened" with roller blinds, but they are not really dark, which didn't bother us personally, but might be important for others. The room in general was very spacious and the supermarket theme gave the room something special. Surfaces, bed, toilet, shower and sink were clean. Unfortunately, the floor was only partially clean. Unfortunately, the corners in the bathroom looked like they hadn't been wiped for a while and there was white lint everywhere. As far as I remember correctly, there was no shower mat, only two guest towels and two normal shower towels. (Or I missed it.) There are no refrigerators in the rooms, which is not up to date (e.g. for medicine, baby food, milk...). My biggest point of criticism, however, was the mattresses in the bed. Phew, I really hope we caught the "Monday room" that hasn't had any new mattresses in a while. Ours were so sagging that you actually sank in the middle. The bed itself squeaked when I put it on it and turned it over. For one night it wasn't so bad, if I had stayed longer I would have asked for another room. There are no carpets in the hallways, but rather a kind of PVC floor, which unfortunately does not absorb the noise of rolling suitcases and you can hear very well what is happening in the hallway. The service at the event was good and the food was very good. The breakfast the next day was good all in all, the check out and check in went smoothly and friendly. In the event hall, the hotel's large "advertising" board, which was very present, bothered me because it always wanted to force me to open the QR code in my camera when I was taking pictures, for example. :D The rest of the hall was beautifully and modernly furnished. I could also imagine staying here longer, provided the floor is cleaner and the beds aren't sagging.

Super snoring, almost got up and left...which other guests sometimes did.

I can't say anything about the food yet, but on December 23rd. We'll have a celebration there where we can try the food. Everything around it was definitely right. 👍🙂

Ich bin von der Qualität des Schnitzels sehr enttäuscht. Ich wollte ein Wiener Schnitzel, es gab aber nur Schnitzel Wiener Art, also Schwein. Das Schnitzel schmeckte wie TK Convenience und die Pfefferrahmsauce schmeckte wie eine billige Fertigsauce, der Beilagensalat schmeckte auch bis auf die Salatblätter wie aus dem Plastikkübel. Und das für ca. 23 € Zu Hause angekommen, hatte ich dieses typische Völlegefühl, wie ein aufgeblähter Magen von Convenience Food, obwohl ich den Teller gar nicht aufgegessen hatte, war mir so unwohl, dass ich 3 Fernet und einen Underberg trinken musste. Da ich grundsätzlich kein Handy mit ins Restaurant nehme, gibt es leider kein Foto. Auf die Ansprache der Reklamation, gab es nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung, im Gegenteil, vollkommen arrogant: Bei uns ist alles frisch gemacht

Schönen Sonntag Waren heute mit der Familie wieder im Central Essen. Bedienung , Essen war wieder super.Das Restaurant ist innen nicht unbedingt Zeigemäss, aber sauber.Nachteil finde ich dass hier geraucht wird. Waren am Freitag im Cental Essen, kann man wirklich sehr gut empfehlen. Die Preise sind sehr akzeptabel, die Bestellung und auch dass Essen kam schnell und heiss.Mann bekommt mehr wie man Essen kann. Wir kommen garantiert wieder. Achtung,, immer vorher anrufen um zu reservieren.

The food for four of us was a disaster. Among other things, fried potatoes from the bag. Prepared in the deep fryer together with the fries. Something like that doesn't work at all. Fried potatoes are to be fried. That's why they're called that. This restaurant is not recommended

The breakfast buffet is simply amazing! I have never experienced such a selection of extremely high product quality anywhere. I'm very surprised at some of the negative reviews here. Well, I actually don't like pancakes, so I don't miss them. But there are normal croissants, chocolate croissants and a very tasty looking cake. You can order egg dishes if you wish. And everything, from bread rolls to coffee, tastes really good. By the way, we also had grain bread. Plenty of selection of spreads, fruit, yoghurt etc. The only thing I'm missing are larger water glasses, carbonated water and labels on the products. And the service could be a little more behind when it comes to clearing up. But for 20 euros including drinks, lots of branded products and very fresh rolls, we were very satisfied! 😊 The ambience is also very nice. Visitors can park for free at the Food Hotel a few meters away.
