Restaurant marktbistro in Neuwied

The breakfast buffet is simply amazing! I have never experienced such a selection of extremely high product quality anywhere. I'm very surprised at some of the negative reviews here. Well, I actually don't like pancakes, so I don't miss them. But there are normal croissants, chocolate croissants and a very tasty looking cake. You can order egg dishes if you wish. And everything, from bread rolls to coffee, tastes really good. By the way, we also had grain bread. Plenty of selection of spreads, fruit, yoghurt etc. The only thing I'm missing are larger water glasses, carbonated water and labels on the products. And the service could be a little more behind when it comes to clearing up. But for 20 euros including drinks, lots of branded products and very fresh rolls, we were very satisfied! 😊 The ambience is also very nice. Visitors can park for free at the Food Hotel a few meters away.

Very good breakfast with a lot of choice and drinks, nice service staff

The best breakfast in town - at least that's what they advertise. Unfortunately I can't share that. I think 19.99 euros for a breakfast that offers everything is okay in principle, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. The selection of hot dishes is limited to eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and grilled vegetables that were not refilled. Sausage and cheese variations are manageable and do not offer any special requirements. There is no kitchen service for, for example, omelettes or pancakes. Fish is only offered as salmon in slices.... You can make your own fresh orange juice and the selection of fruit is more classic. The ambience isn't great either and there is no whole grain bread or rolls. You can have a good breakfast here but if it is praised as being special it must be because of the local competition and not because it is special. I think the price is excessive for the performance offered.

Very friendly, attentive staff. BUT with such advertised descriptions regarding the buffets: sumptuous, hearty and sweet, rich, fresh, regional ingredients. We expect more choice, more variety and, above all, more regionality and, above all, that the desserts don't look as much like dye and taste like artificial flavor as they did. The only sweet thing at breakfast was the minni baked chocolate rolls, 4 jams, honey and Nutella. No waffles, no pancakes or anything similar. The lunch part of the brunch was just the sweet desserts, which weren't particularly convincing. Fruit and vegetables, apart from asparagus and potatoes, are hardly regional. In April: Raspberry, pineapple, melon, strawberries, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, peas...

Very nice service and very tasty food!

We went to the market bistro for brunch and thought it was great! Friendly and cheerful waitresses, extensive selection at breakfast and at the hot buffet and everything was very tasty! We found it pleasant that there was no “train station backdrop” in the room like in other locations of this size. You could have a conversation at a normal volume without “yelling” at each other. Everything was very clean and seemed well organized. The only downside was the high temperature in the room, as it faces the sunny side. Otherwise everything was great and a clear recommendation!

Went to the theme buffet again on Friday evening...as always everything was fresh and tasted very good.... The friendly and attentive service helped... It's just a shame that this time the bar was closed due to an event. But we will be happy to come back...
