Eating and drinking at Tom's with 12 boys on December 7th, 2024. The service was totally subpar, food waited 1 ½ hours. Some of the boys were able to eat while others had to wait another 20 minutes. The food we ordered was completely forgotten. Despite complaining to no less than three waiters who discussed it, they decided to put it in the cash register and hand it out in the kitchen. Someone in the restaurant was happy, but nothing arrived at our table. In the end it was about the payment. There was no collective bill, everyone paid their own and yet there were food and drinks open in the till that didn't belong to any of us. Yes, unfortunately some items are booked twice when you order from a waiter, the second one only brings you half the price. On If you ask if something is still missing, the second person simply pipes it in again. Definitely not a model staff and all 12 of us left the store in a bad mood. Was the last visit to Tom's. Oh well... Ratingen is small, so bad performance gets around. Too bad

We were there for brunch on Sunday. You can't complain about the price at all, and the selection itself is very large. However, unfortunately I noticed a lot of things. 1. The table was already set and I had to make do with a dirty napkin 2. Apparently the glasses are only washed very roughly. When my friend brought me a jar of multivitamin, I got lipstick for free. He brought the glass away and it was accepted without a word. 3. The worst part was when the chef came with 2 new containers for scrambled eggs and bacon. He took off the lid and placed it on the floor. Hygiene?? He swapped the molds and then put the lid back on. That wasn't exactly what I wanted to see. It also spoiled my appetite at the same time. Conclusion: We were invited by a friend, but we definitely won't eat there again.

The Restaurant Die Krone in Ratingen Homberg has become an absolute top location over the last 10 years. We are always happy to be guests of the very nice and attentive hosts Claudia and Kai Glöckner. They and their very well-coordinated team work unobtrusively and are very customer-oriented. Incredible experience. It begins with a personal greeting from the chef - something that rarely happens in restaurants anymore. The menu is small but very imaginative and high quality. Beautiful terrace in the courtyard. Professional, very friendly and attentive service. Farewell again from the chef. My conclusion: Ratinger top!

I'm very sorry that I can't give a good review. My dish, the Cedrics fish pan, is not recommended: the spinach with strange spices (fennel?) was lukewarm, as were the potatoes! The sea bass didn't taste fresh. The quality of the two sauces also left something to be desired. You also imagine your grandchildren's Wiener Schnitzel differently if you know it to be good. It's a shame, I was planning to celebrate my 70th birthday there after this test meal, but I'm now refraining from doing so because my stomach is already rumbling after Cedric's fish pan

Very well-kept restaurant with a wide range of dishes that impresses across the board in terms of quality and taste. We were able to see this for ourselves at our son's graduation ceremony held there. The steaks were tender and otherwise flawless. The tarte flambée was also impeccable, as were the various burgers and salads. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambience is also very tasteful and appealing. The pricing is local and reasonable. The food is not cheap, but it is literally inexpensive. I give it a clear recommendation. PS in summer there is a very nice beer garden there!

Very tasty special (including Spanish) food. The man in service was very friendly, familiar and accommodating. The half-timbered house speaks for its charm...and felt very comfortable. Just have to dress a little warmer because it's drafty in the old house.

Good quality of food, unfortunately the service staff had little knowledge of their own wine list. Otherwise pleasant atmosphere for a larger business meal. However, I wouldn't organize a candlelight dinner there ;-)
