Restaurant Bürgershof in Ratingen

Einfach zu teuer. Wenn man eine Pommes mit Majo bestellt und dafür 6 Euro bezahlt, erwartet man mehr als Ketchup und Majoplastiktüten. Der Service war langsam. Die Pommes wurde explizit nicht aufgenommen, sondern erst 20 min später, als auch andere vom Tisch bestellt hatten.

Tolles Ambiente, freundlicher Service und leckeres Essen. Die Karte zeigt keine Richtung von Burger über Spargelgerichte über Hähnchen und Risotto ist alles dabei. So wie mir vorgeschwärmt wurde, hatte ich kulinarisch mehr erwartet. Ich hatte einen Burger der gut war. Preis-Leistung finde ich ehrlich gesagt etwas hoch, der Laden ist trotzdem voll.

Ich habe gestern im kleinen Familienkreis meinen Geburtstag gefeiert. Ambiente und Essen wie immer top. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich heute einmal den Service. Er ist hervorragend. Egal wer, alle sind freundlich, aufmerksam, persönlich ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Ich habe selbst lange im Service gearbeitet und weiß wo von ich rede. Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 11 Personen zum Mittagessen da .Da a la card gegessen wurde ist es schwierig alle gleichzeitig zu bedienen. Es hat aber toll funktioniert. Alle waren zufrieden sogar das Kind. Vielen Dank!

The food was mediocre. Adult portions were sometimes as small as children's plates. All the windows were closed, making it hard to breathe! A 20-minute wait despite having a reservation – absolute chaos! Not recommended!

We always love coming here. The Bürgershof has excellent food, a great selection of drinks, and a cozy atmosphere. Our friends are always thrilled when we visit. The impeccable service and the friendliness of the wonderful staff who make your stay so pleasant are truly exceptional! Thank you so much!

A classic German restaurant with decent service and atmosphere, and good food. Prices are a bit high.

The three of us dined at Restaurant Bürgershof this evening. It's a restaurant with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and excellent customer service. All the staff are very attentive and incredibly friendly without being intrusive. The menu isn't extensive but offers a superb selection of dishes. All three courses were absolutely delicious. The veal Wiener Schnitzel was cooked to perfection, and the potato and cucumber salad was fresh, tasty, and served at the perfect temperature. The vitello tonnato appetizer was both delicious and beautifully presented. In short: Go there, enjoy the lovely ambiance, the hospitality, and the delicious food. Highly recommended!

The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not quite right.

We've been frequenting the Bürgershof restaurant for many years and were generally satisfied in the past. However, over the last year and a half, our experience has deteriorated significantly. The service on our last few visits has been inconsistent and sometimes even temperamental. We've repeatedly had to take the initiative to order drinks or make additional requests. In our opinion, the quality of the food no longer justifies the increased prices. Price increases are understandable, but the quality should at least remain at its previous level. Since we no longer have this impression, our last visit was also our last for the time being.

I had lunch for €50. A fish platter and soup. Five minutes later, I got diarrhea due to the poor quality ingredients used in the restaurant and too much oil.

Very pleasant atmosphere and good food. The beer garden seems to be fantastic in the summer, especially since there's even a playground.

The chicken burger was great and quite large. The fries were also very tasty and plentiful. Unfortunately, the salad we ordered as an appetizer came with no dressing other than a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. They offered us a bottle of olive oil. Unfortunately, the drink prices are completely exorbitant (0.5 Coke for €6).

We sat comfortably on the large terrace and had a bite to eat. My burger was very tasty, as were my friends' other dishes. We all agreed it was delicious and we'd gladly go back 😉

We ate here before attending a concert in Düsseldorf. The food was good and the service very friendly. Highly recommended!

Huge burger with fries. Too much for a grown man

We stopped by the restaurant as part of a city tour and had a small appetizer, which was very tasty. However, I paid €9 for a small coffee and an equally small cappuccino, which I consider quite overpriced! The service was very friendly, though. I think something should really be done about the drink prices, which are skyrocketing in many restaurants these days.

In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is out of control. The taste was okay, but definitely not special. You have to be brave to try a pasta dish with fillet tips for €30. The guests seem to like it; it's always busy.

On July 12, my wife and I celebrated our wedding at the Bürgershof with about 90 guests. And we're still speechless at how everything was organized and executed. Miro and his team made everything we imagined possible. The table decorations were perfectly executed. The service was absolutely world-class. They accommodated every wish within the bounds of possibility. The food (appetizer, buffet, dessert) was top-notch! Exactly what we imagined. We and our guests have only positive things to say. We had a few children among our guests. There's a playground outside for the kids! Simply perfect. Many thanks to Miro and his team for everything.

We dined at the Bürgershof restaurant in Ratingen with two families this summer and were absolutely thrilled! The location is simply gorgeous, and its idyllic atmosphere is reminiscent of a summer wedding celebration – truly beautifully designed. The fantastic playground for children deserves special mention; it provided lots of fun for the little ones and allowed us adults to relax. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We also really liked the value for money. The prices aren't exactly takeaway prices, of course, but they're absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food and the overall ambiance. We will definitely eat there again! Since we sat outside, we unfortunately can't comment on the interior.

We often go to eat at Bürgershof with our colleagues, and the service is really good. The food also tastes very good, but I think the prices are a bit too high. A tarte flambée starts at €15, and most other dishes start at over €20. The atmosphere is okay, but the restrooms are so-so.

We were with 16 people in the Bürgerhof for the confirmation of our daughter. It was more than just a successful evening there, a terrific and attentive service, an excellent 3-course menu that left nothing to be desired (not even for vegetarians!) Excellent selection of drinks and a fair price/performance ratio. All in all, highly recommended!!!

The food was delicious and the burger is almost obscenely large. When it came to serving the drinks, it was a little bumpy and the tone was robust. The toilets are not up to the standard of the restaurant. That's why it doesn't work with 5 stars.

Wir waren gestern Abend mit 16Personen im Bürgershof zum Anlass der Konfirmation unserer Tochter. Es war mehr als ein nur gelungener Abend dort, ein grandioser und aufmerksamer Service, ein vorzügliches 3Gänge Menü, welches keine Wünsche offen ließ ( auch nicht für Vegetarier!) Exelente Getränkeauswahl und ein faires Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen !!!

Had a spontaneous lunch with 3 people on the way home. Very attentive service. Greetings from the kitchen without charge, very tasty! All meals tasted very well, quantities balanced. Price level a bit high but reasonable. Clear recommendation!

Terrace, sunshine, and an alt takes longer because the waiter is overwhelmed BH

We had a delicious meal at this lovely restaurant on the way back from our holiday from Düsseldorf airport. The portions are very large, even though we are big eaters there was still some left over. The quality was also great. The staff are very friendly. Prices are decent! Recommended

We were there at lunchtime with several people. And we ate, unfortunately 3 of the 8 meals weren't good. Two meals, the mashed potatoes were cold and the third meal was Burger Italia with roast beef and mozzarella and tomatoes. On the burger you would have to think about what it was supposed to be - there was far too much mozzarella on it so that the roast beef didn't show off at all and what was cut very thinly (3 mm) at most it all just tasted like mozzarella. Unfortunately, the distance is too far to eat there if you are in the Rhineland. Which we are very often a pity. I hope it was just this one time. Always enjoyed sitting there.

The burgers are huge, fresh and simply delicious - by far one of the best burgers I've had in Germany! The staff is exceptionally friendly, warm and attentive. The only small criticism: If the toilets were a little better maintained, it would really be perfect. Now I'm faced with the big question - full 5 stars or a tiny deduction because of the toilets! I also love the old sewing machine in the restaurant - it reminds me of my childhood and gives the place a special atmosphere.

We didn't get our entire meal, and then the steak had a whole tendon, so we had to return almost the entire steak. Unfortunately, the glass was dirty. When we asked if everything was okay, we told them what was wrong, but there was no response. This was our last visit.

The best hamburger I’ve ever eaten. The soup of the day was also pretty tasty. Excellent!

It's not the place to go for a good meal.

We booked a celebration there with a buffet for 40 people. All agreements were fulfilled to our complete satisfaction. The food was very tasty, the staff was very nice and accommodating and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. We'd love to come back!

Very well-kept restaurant with a wide range of dishes that impresses across the board in terms of quality and taste. We were able to see this for ourselves at our son's graduation ceremony held there. The steaks were tender and otherwise flawless. The tarte flambée was also impeccable, as were the various burgers and salads. The service was very friendly and attentive. The ambience is also very tasteful and appealing. The pricing is local and reasonable. The food is not cheap, but it is literally inexpensive. I give it a clear recommendation. PS in summer there is a very nice beer garden there!

Very comfortable chairs, nice and attentive staff and the food was delicious. 😋 There was even a solution to combat wasps outdoors: coffee powder. This kept 90% of all wasps away. All in all 5 stars.

As you have noticed, I am constantly traveling across Germany. Today here in Ratingen, in the Bürgershof. On recommendation from the hotel. What can I say, great. Warm welcome from the start and super nice, fast service. Despite the many guests, they are always with you. The price is a little more than I pay, but the size of the food and service justify it. Keep it up.

Today, July 29th, I had the pleasure of eating with another person at the Bürgershof restaurant and I have to say it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We started with a starter which consisted of freshly baked bread with a delicious dip. The bread was pleasantly warm and perfect for dipping – a successful start! For our main course we chose the burger with fries and I can confidently say that it was simply outstanding. The burger was juicy, flavorful and arrived at our table quicker than expected. The fries were crispy and went perfectly with it. I was particularly impressed by the service. The waiter was always attentive and came by regularly to check that everything was OK. Also while we were waiting for our food and smoking a cigarette, the ashtray was immediately replaced with a new one - this really shows a high level of hygiene and customer service. The service was friendly and quick, which made the entire visit very pleasant. Overall, I can only recommend the Bürgerhof! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Plain and simple my new favorite place! After our walks, we are always looking for nice restaurants, ideally when the weather is nice, with a cozy, shady outdoor terrace where we can comfortably sit with our large pack (6-8 dogs) without disturbing other guests. Today we ended up in the Bürgerhof and were completely thrilled. The terrace is beautifully shaded, the chairs (actually armchairs) are incredibly comfortable and the tables are relaxed and positioned with enough space between each other. After a friendly welcome, we were given the menu and quickly the drinks we ordered, along with crispy, hot rolls. The selection of drinks is refreshing and well-stocked and it's been a long time since I was finally able to drink a non-alcoholic Füchschen. The menu offers a well-thought-out selection of different dishes and really has something for every taste. Fresh, delicious burgers (also a vegetarian selection), tarte flambée, fresh salad compositions (e.g. with goat cheese, pears and walnuts) and classics such as currywurst and fries. The insider tip for me is the fresh cucumber potato salad, which, served lukewarm, took me back to my Swabian homeland. The service is perfect, friendly and professional. The kitchen is incredibly fast. All dishes were freshly prepared and came to the table in no time. For us it was simply the best end to our day and we found our new favorite place. Thanks!

We were there with a larger group and found the location and the service great. Afterwards, all of us in the group were of the opinion that the food and drinks were a bit too expensive, as we have often found similar quality food in the last few months, but ate and drank noticeably cheaper (Düsseldorf area).

We had lunch here without a reservation during the week and were amazed that it was so busy. We were warmly welcomed and decided to sit outside. We were able to order drinks quickly and then decided on the brawn, salmon with triplets, salad as the main course with chicken breast and salad with baby calamari. Beforehand there was a roll for everyone and an unfortunately indefinable dip. All dishes tasted excellent. We found the salads very expensive, after all it was just a frisee lettuce and a few small tomatoes. The dressing, however, was very light and tasty, plenty of chicken breast and also calamari. All in all a very successful lunch, with nice service, not exactly cheap.

Hier waren wir ohne Reservierung unter der Woche mittags essen und erstaunt, dass es so gut besucht war. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und entschieden uns draußen zu sitzen. Getränke konnten wir rasch bestellen und entschieden uns dann für die Bauernsülze, Lachs mit Drillingen, Salat als Hauptgericht mit Hühnerbrust und Salat mit Babycalamari. Vorweg gab es für jeden ein Brötchen und einen leider undefinierbaren Dip. Alle Gerichte schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Die Salate fanden wir sehr hochpreisig, schließlich war es nur ein Friseesalat und ein paar kleine Tomaten. Das Dressing allerdings sehr leicht und lecker, reichlich Hähnchenbrust und auch Calamari. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungenes Mittagessen, mit nettem Service, nicht ganz günstig.

Unfortunately disappointing. We have been to the Bürgerhof several times and are satisfied. Yesterday we were disappointed. There were four of us. 3 people got their food at the same time and 1 tarte flambée that was ordered took so long to arrive until the 3 people had almost finished eating. When it finally came: the tarte flambée was almost burnt, dry, the cheese (vegetarian tarte flambée) was cut into small pieces and solid like a crouton. In the meantime a large coach had arrived. However, he was registered and tables were set outside. Nevertheless, the waiters and kitchen were probably overwhelmed. If bus travel is the new concept, old regulars will gradually leave. Either you choose the mass or the class, both work badly. In addition, prices rose sharply. For a burger 23 euros, pasta with mushrooms 23 euros, etc. I think it's brave. The burger yesterday wasn't of good quality either, for example typical burger ingredients like cucumber and cream/sauce were missing. When I go out to eat, I expect consistent quality and not something different every day depending on how many guests are there. Then you were out of luck. We were surprised that the staff was very grumpy. We don't know that from the Bürgerhof either. We have received a warm welcome and service so far. I have always praised the staff. Well, things were different yesterday. But when I go out to eat, I want to look forward to the evening, every time, and it's not one way today, it's different tomorrow. Sorry, that doesn't work. I don't pay different prices, sometimes less, sometimes more. The prices remain the same. By the way, the complaint was accepted because of the poor result and the extraordinarily long wait for the tarte flambée, which also failed. It was only eaten because you were very hungry and didn't want to wait any longer since it was evening and you had only had breakfast. Even a mistake will not happen again.

We recently celebrated our civil wedding there with just over 40 guests. From the very beginning, the staff took a lot of time to use their gastronomic experience to support us in the planning and organization and to take our wishes and ideas into account. On the day of the wedding everything went like clockwork, the food was excellent, the service was very professional and courteous, and the atmosphere made you feel comfortable. The terrace is outstanding when the weather is nice and all of our guests felt very comfortable. For what is offered there, the prices are more than fair. Thank you very much and keep it up!

We went to Bürgerhof for the first time on Saturday for my mother's wedding. When we arrived, drinks were already ready so that every guest was immediately given a glass of the drink of his or her choice without waiting. The buffet was served on time, as agreed. The service always snaked past everyone quickly and friendly and they always wore a slight smile. Friendly asked for the next drink and cleared away everything that was in the way. The buffet was warm and fresh. Everything, absolutely everything, tasted great! What was missing was filled super quickly. Sometimes you couldn't even see that quickly. 😂 The service and ambience were great the whole evening! I just can't say it any other way. Thanks to the entire team! You did such a good job. 🙏 The following day we drove from Essen to Ratingen for a hangover breakfast because we liked it so much. We had another great experience!
