Ich war mittlerweile schon mehrfach geschäftlich im Cedric’s in Ratingen zu Gast und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Restaurant überzeugt durch eine ausgezeichnete Küche, einen erstklassigen Service und ein stilvolles Ambiente, das sich perfekt für Geschäftsessen eignet. Die Speisen sind stets von hervorragender Qualität, frisch zubereitet und geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau. Besonders beeindruckend ist die gleichbleibend hohe Qualität – egal, wie oft man kommt. Auch Sonderwünsche werden freundlich und professionell umgesetzt. Der Service ist aufmerksam, diskret und sehr gastorientiert. Gerade bei geschäftlichen Terminen schätze ich die angenehme Atmosphäre, in der man sich ungestört unterhalten kann. Das Team sorgt dafür, dass man sich jederzeit willkommen und bestens betreut fühlt. Für mich gehört das Cedric’s zu den besten Adressen in Ratingen für Geschäftsessen und besondere Anlässe. Eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung – ich freue mich bereits auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Oft daran vorbeigefahren, jetzt das erste Mal besucht. Das Essen - Filetsteaks - hervorragend, das Ambiente ruhig und sehr schön, und der Service kann nicht besser sein. Ich kann jedem, der in die Gegend von Ratingen-Homberg kommt, empfehlen, Cedrics zu besuchen!

Wir waren mit der Familie zum 4. Advent hier zum Essen. Die Gänsekeule war fantastisch!! Vielen lieben Dank an den Service, alles ging sehr flott.

Wir waren heute dort essen und sind wirklich begeistert. Schon die Vorspeisen waren durchweg hervorragend – jede einzelne absolut empfehlenswert. Besonders hervorheben muss ich den Schafskäse mit Honig und Walnüssen: eine perfekte Kombination aus herzhaft, süß und knackig, geschmacklich einfach ein Traum. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich das Rumpsteak und ich kann ohne Übertreibung sagen: eines der besten Steaks, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Auf den Punkt gebraten, unglaublich zart, saftig und voller Geschmack. Man merkt sofort, dass hier auf Qualität und gute Zubereitung großen Wert gelegt wird. Auch das Ambiente war sehr angenehm und der Service aufmerksam und freundlich, sodass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Ein Restaurant, das man definitiv weiterempfehlen kann – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir haben heute die Kommunion meines Sohnes bei Cedrics gefeiert. Sehr gutes Essen. Sehr zuvorkommende Kellner und ein ganz netter Inhaber. Toll organisiert. Also bei Cedric's: so klasse wie immer!

Super lecker und netter Service!

Ich hatten einen Feta als Vorspeise, der einfach super war, sowohl geschmacklich als auch mengenmäßig. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich Lammpfanne, die perfekt war. Das Ambiente ist gastlich und ich habe mich wohlgefühlt. Preis-Leistung hat total gepasst, schade dass ich auf der Durchreise war und wahrscheinlich nicht wiedekomme. Aber falls doch, werde ich auf jeden Fall dort einkehren.

Leider nicht mehr so gut wie früher Meine Familie ist seit etwa 35 Jahren Stammgast im Cedric's Restaurant und feiert hier wirklich alle großen Anlässe – Geburtstage, Hochzeiten sowie Weihnachts- als auch Trauerfeiern. Leider hat die Qualität in den letzten Jahren doch spürbar nachgelassen, etwa nach dem Zeitpunkt der Covid-Pandemie würde ich sagen. Das Essen wird zunehmend teurer und die Portionen werden kleiner (und schmecken subjektiv beurteilt auch nicht mehr so gut wie früher). Eventuell gab es auch innerhalb der Küche einige Wechsel. Während das Personal nach wie vor freundlich und zuvorkommend ist stimmt leider wie gesagt beim Essen das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis schon länger nicht mehr. Sehr schade, da das Cedric's Restaurant in vielen Jahrzehnten innerhalb von Ratingen und auch darüber hinaus immer hoch angesehen war. Sicher kann man hier immer noch ganz gut essen, allerdings berichten viele Bekannte & Freunde von ähnlichen Erfahrungen.

Ich bin hier spontan gewesen und hatte Glück, noch eine Platz zu bekommen. Das Essen war super lecker und die Portionen sind sehr groß. Die Tische sind größtenteils so angeordnet, dass man für sich in kleinen Nischen sitzt, das finde ich persönlich sehr angenehm, da man für sich ist und der Geräuschepegel nicht so hoch ist. Kleiner Kritikpunkt an den Service. Dieser war zwar sehr freundlich, allerdings musste man auch immer sehr lange warten.

Gutes Essen aber die Wartezeiten sind zum Teil sehr lange.

Wir waren heute mit 9 Personen, anlässlich eines Geburtstages, im Cedrics. Die Stimmungsbilder zum Geschmack des Essens reichten von mässig bis sehr gut. Bei den geschmacklich sehr gut bewerteten Gerichten stand Preis-Leistung dennoch in einem schlechten Verhältnis. Der Service war freundlich, kam aber viel zu selten zum Tisch. Die Zubereitung des Essens dauerte deutlich zu lange. Der Raum war einem Grossteil der Gesellschaft deutlich zu kalt. Unterm Strich sehr klar keine Weiterempfehlung und eine enttäuschende Gesamtleistung.

Unser Besuch gestern war leider in mehrfacher Hinsicht enttäuschend. Bereits die Aufnahme der Bestellung erfolgte erst nach sehr langer Wartezeit. Der Hauptgang wurde serviert, der dazugehörige Beilagensalat jedoch erst rund 20 Minuten später. Ein gemeinsames Essen war dadurch nicht möglich. Auch auf die Rechnung mussten wir am Ende erneut unangemessen lange warten. Neben den organisatorischen Mängeln ließ auch die Qualität der Speisen deutlich zu wünschen übrig und entsprach nicht dem, was man bei den aufgerufenen Preisen erwarten darf. Der eine Stern gilt ausschließlich dem ansprechenden Ambiente sowie dem freundlichen und bemühten Kellner, der ersichtlich versuchte, den Personalmangel auszugleichen. Insgesamt hinterließ der Besuch einen sehr negativen Eindruck und ist aus unserer Sicht nicht empfehlenswert.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen! Das Essen ist einfach köstlich, und das Ambiente ist einzigartig und stimmungsvoll. Der Service ist erstklassig – ein besonderes Dankeschön an die nette Kellnerin Martha, die unseren Besuch noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Ein Restaurant, in das man unbedingt wiederkommen möchte. Ich empfehle es jedem!

Ausgezeichnetes Essen! Keine überfüllte Speisekarte, sondern ausgewählte Gerichte, welche stets köstlich zubereitet werden. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service!

Jetzt wieder ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant nachdem wir während und kurz nach der Corona Zeit zweimal sehr mit dem Essen und dem Service enttäuscht waren. Beruflich bis heute dreimal jetzt absolut zufrieden mit dem Speisen und dem Service gewesen. So sollte es bleiben. Angenehm auch, dass es bei schönem und warmen Wetter die Möglichkeit gibt im Biergarten zu speisen.

Der 90.Geburtstag meiner Mutter mit 12 Gästen ( Dezember) war ein voller Erfolg. Alles passte perfekt. Obwohl alle Gäste nach Karte bestellt haben wurde alles zeitgleich und heiß serviert. Das schafft bei weitem nicht jedes Restaurant 😉💪👍.

We celebrated our wedding at Cedric's with a small group of family and friends; we'd never eaten there before. We were thrilled! The venue and atmosphere are incredibly cozy, the staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient, and the food was simply fantastic! We had a buffet, and not only were we, as the hosts, delighted, but our guests raved about it too. So we'll definitely be back!

We've been coming here for years, always with the whole family, for our Christmas dinner. We were there again today, and as in previous years, we were all completely satisfied. High-quality food in a perfect setting with excellent service. For many years, it's been our favorite restaurant when we want something special. The friendly owner and welcoming staff complete the feeling of being truly welcome. The beef fillet was cooked to perfection and was of exceptional quality – incredibly tender. The wild boar fillet on truffle purée with a fantastic sauce was also a truly delightful experience. Update: Even after many years, it's still a perfect experience.

Cedric's used to be a restaurant I enjoyed and frequented. Yesterday, after a long absence, I went back. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The dishes are very expensive, but the quality is nothing special. In the past, you could enjoy very good quality for a reasonable price. The restaurant was hardly ever busy, so you felt very lost. This meant that the atmosphere was lacking. What a pity...

We truly enjoyed our small wedding celebration on August 8, 2025, at Cedric's! It started with the preliminary planning, which was very straightforward, imaginative, organized, and almost friendly. Our wishes and ideas were addressed professionally and accommodatingly. The service was fantastic, even with the children, who were very loving and attentive! The food was excellent! Everyone got what they liked, and the side dishes went smoothly. The same goes for the wedding cake. We were allowed to use two tables (inside and outside), so all weather conditions were covered and we didn't have to worry about it. The table layout was also exactly what we wanted. The space was important to us, as we had a person in a wheelchair and several walkers. This, too, was no problem for Cedric's. The entire communication and organization, the food, the weather, and the day itself were fantastic! Thanks again to the whole team! You took care of us so well that we could simply enjoy our day worry-free and relaxed! We'd love to come back for a delicious meal or a celebration and can highly recommend this venue and the team.

Anyone who, after three phone inquiries, still finds it impossible to arrange a personal on-site appointment for a fairly small wedding party, but simply refers you to the website and takes you for a fool over the phone, truly has no idea about good service and gastronomy. It's natural for any other restaurateur to want a personal on-site appointment with a wedding party as soon as possible, and they would be happy to accommodate any request. That's not the case here!

We always enjoy going there for small family celebrations: wide selection, good food, fast service!

We ate at Cedric's yesterday for our wedding anniversary, in remembrance of our wedding, which we also celebrated there a few years ago and which we always remember fondly. The food was, as always, excellent. The dish I originally wanted to order was sold out, but they immediately recommended an alternative that I was completely satisfied with! The staff is very attentive, and even though they were catering to a large group at once and were certainly very busy, we always saw a smile on their faces. We'll definitely be back!

A pleasant and atmospheric restaurant with an extensive menu that offers something for everyone. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent. For my starter, I chose the carpaccio, which was well-seasoned. The garlic bread with chimichurri was also a hit. For my main course, I had a baked potato with shrimp and a fresh salad—very tasty, but the portion was so generous I couldn't finish it. My husband's grilled chicken and fries also looked good and were enjoyed. We sat on the spacious terrace overlooking the greenery. The atmosphere was peaceful, with comfortable seating in the shade, and it was a pleasant place for a relaxed lunch.

We celebrated our son's confirmation at Cedric's on May 18, 2025. The advance planning with Mr. Urban, the friendly service, the excellent food, the location with a ballroom, ice cream truck, and terrace – everything went to our complete satisfaction, and our guests were thrilled. Mr. Urban, in particular, took great care of us throughout the entire celebration, was very kind to the children, and anticipated our every wish. I highly recommend Cedric's for celebrations of this kind (we also celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there), and we will definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team!

One of our absolute favorite restaurants in the area. Everything we've eaten there so far has been very good. The service is very friendly, and we never had to wait very long for our food. The goose at Christmas was also very tasty. They have imaginative children's dishes.

The food was very good but the service still has a lot of room for improvement. The side dishes were wrong, instead of fried potatoes we got fries, and we had to remind the waitress 3 times for the second bottle of wine. Unfortunately, when we were done eating we still didn't have any and then we ordered it again! Unfortunately, we didn't get any coffee after our meal because the machine was broken!

Eigentlich hatten wir das Restaurant positiv in Erinnerung, was uns dazu verleitet hat, uns dort an Weihnachten einzufinden. Wie sich am Ende herausstellte, war das keine gute Entscheidung, denn außer der schönen, weihnachtlichen Deko, gab es nichts weiter zu bewundern. Hecktische, scheinbar ungelernte Kellner verbreiteten eine ungemütliche Atmosphäre. Die enge Anordnung der Tische machte das ganze Geschehen auch nicht besser und somit war bereits von Beginn an die Stimmung gedämpft. Kommen wir nun zu Essen: Ehrlicherweise hatten wir uns im Vorfeld nicht über das Speisenangebot zu den Feiertagen informiert und somit wurden wir mit einem Menü überrascht; a la carte gab es nichts zu bestellen. Grundsätzlich ist das nicht schlimm und aus organisatorischen Gründen sicherlich vollkommen nachvollziehbar, jedoch sollten Qualität und Auswahl nicht nur dem feierlichen Anlass, sondern auch dem angemessenen Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis entsprechen. Schade, denn das ging leider voll daneben! Für knapp 70 € (ohne Getränke) gab es eine kleine Auswahl von Vorspeisen, eine etwas größere Auswahl an Hauptgerichten, aber leider nur ein vorgegebenes Dessert; ein warmes Schokoküchlein, mit flüssigem Kern und einer spärlichen Beilage. Allein das hat uns schon sehr irritiert, denn zum einen ist der Wow-Effekt über diese Dessertvariation bereits seit Jahren verflogen und eher als langweilig zu betrachten und zum zweiten war die Umsetzung schlicht und ergreifend schlecht. Der weihnachtliche Pfiff sollten Kirschen in Glühweinsauce sein...ich hatte genau zwei halbe Kirschen und einen Teelöffelgroßen Klecks Sauce auf meinem Teller. Nun ja, aber fangen wir vorne an. Wir waren zu dritt und es gab ein solides Süppchen für meine Frau und für die Schwiegermama und mich ein Capriccio vom Rind. Zu unserem Bedauern war dieses allerdings ein Tiefkühlprodukt, zwar besserer Qualität, aber eben nichts Handgefertigtes und somit für den Anlass nicht angemessen. Bei den Hauptgängen gab es dann die größten Probleme; angefangen damit, dass meine Frau als Vegetarierin quasi gezwungen war, ein vegetarisches Rumpsteak zu bestellen, denn das war das einzige vegetarische Gericht. Wir haben gefragt, ob es eine Alternative zu diesem Fleischersatz gibt, aber das wurde verneint. Sorry, aber ich finde, das geht einfach gar nicht! Mal eben zwei Eier in die Pfanne zu hauen und a la Minute ein kleines Omelette zuzubereiten, das müsste der Lehrling sogar schaffen. Aber gut, es wurde dieses vegetarische Rumpsteak bestellt und es war wie erwartet einfach nur ungenießbar. Mein Hauptgericht bestand aus Schweinefiletmedaillons, die gut gebraten und auch von guter Qualität waren, jedoch wurden dazu frische Morcheln in Rahm angekündigt, die ich allerdings auch nach längerem Suchen weder gesehen, noch geschmeckt habe. Meine Schwiegermutter hatte Ente, mit Rotkohl und Klößchen, natürlich alles im Mini-Format und leider war auch die Entenbrust nicht gut gebraten. Die größte Panne bei den Hauptgerichten von meiner Frau und mir waren aber die Beilagen. Hier wurden tournierte Gemüse und Kartoffelrösti offeriert und erhalten haben wir erneut eine Fertigware, in Form von 3 Tiefkühl-Rösti-Talern und die tournierten Gemüse bestanden aus drei daumengroßen, unförmig und uneinheitlich zerschnibbelten Plättchen, aus Möhre, Kohlrabi und Zucchini. Ganze drei Stückchen, wohlgemerkt! Also...man muss kein besonders guter Esser sein, um sich bereits bei Anlieferung des Hauptganges große Sorgen um die Sättigung zu machen und sich ernsthaft die Frage zu stellen, wo man an Weihnachten noch schnell etwas zu Essen auftreiben könnte, damit man nicht mit knurrendem Magen ins Bett gehen muss. Das klingt jetzt vielleicht lustig, aber in dem Moment waren wir alle ziemlich entsetzt. Hier stimmte weder die Qualität, noch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Wir haben dann eine zusätzliche Portion Rösti-Taler (3 Stück) bestellt und serviert bekommen. Blöd nur, dass man uns dabei einen offensichtlich zum zweiten Mal servierten Rösti-Taler untergejubelt hat. Unterm Strich, alles andere als eine Empfehlung für das Cedrics!

The cherry on the cake: Our dog was very warmly welcomed, he was given water without asking and the employees were without exception very friendly and friendly to him. This is a rare experience!

I'm very sorry that I can't give a good review. My dish, the Cedrics fish pan, is not recommended: the spinach with strange spices (fennel?) was lukewarm, as were the potatoes! The sea bass didn't taste fresh. The quality of the two sauces also left something to be desired. You also imagine your grandchildren's Wiener Schnitzel differently if you know it to be good. It's a shame, I was planning to celebrate my 70th birthday there after this test meal, but I'm now refraining from doing so because my stomach is already rumbling after Cedric's fish pan

A very nice restaurant. It's not far from the highway. All dishes are tasty and I enjoy visiting this restaurant regularly.

Hey Cedrics, what's going on?! We actually always enjoy coming to Cerdrics. We are disappointed for the second time in a row. My fish platter doesn't work at all. The fish is over-fried/dry, the rice is very dry, the spinach is dry and the sauce (finished product) as a thick mush is not possible and all that for €36.00. The chef doesn't seem to be in the mood anymore. Also took my favorite dish off the menu. So finally wake up again, pull yourself together and have fun cooking for the guests again. Service continues to be top!!!! But don't respond to complaints with blah blah blah.

Solid - somewhat out of date - ambience, friendly service, tasty cuisine. However, the goose breast could have been a little crispier and the manageable size of the portions clouded the price/performance ratio. Nevertheless, you should give Cedric's a try.

I was happy to finally have a goose leg again. Maybe my expectations were too high? Conclusion: Unfortunately, what was on the plate was quite tasteless. Carelessly prepared, the leg wasn't crispy, the sauce was very thick, the red cabbage and the dumplings were bland. There was no baked apple. In my opinion, charging 35 euros for this is not justified. What a shame! The restaurant has a good reputation. In this case, probably not. No recommendation!

Ask me: which is the best restaurant in Ratingen. I would say: Cedric’s and Gut Höhne. Good: there are a handful at the same level. I don't know everyone either, but I do know a lot of people in the region. Beef fillet... I've never eaten one like this before, so soft as butter and yet full of flavor. My companion's fish was also very, very "cool" (I didn't try it myself).

Friendly service and stylish furnishings

Ja diesmal hat uns auch erwischt. Bisher waren wir zufrieden und haben wieder zur Familienfeier einen Tisch im Cedrics bestellt. Nun haben wir fast zwei Stunden nach unserem Eintreffen unser Essen erhalten, das ist sicher eine zu lange Wartezeit, leider gibt es hier auch keinen Gruss aus der Küche. Von den acht bestellten Essen waren vier nicht zufrieden stellend. Schade! Die nächste Feier wird woanders stattfinden.

We go to Cedrics regularly. Unfortunately it wasn't so great this time. Yet again. It's not a constant in the kitchen. Nice service, very hard working. After the starter, which came relatively quickly, we had to wait 1.5 hours for the main course. This is too much. Especially since it was just fried food with fries, fried potatoes and salad. And then the food was only lukewarm. With the prices now very high, something like that isn't possible. Too bad. Probably our last visit.

A perfect location for various celebration occasions. At the same time, two wedding celebrations were excellently and routinely looked after by the staff. Attentive and polite employees (even though there were a lot of small children at both celebrations) were always on site and didn't allow themselves to be disturbed. The food in buffet form was really tasty and sufficient for starters, main courses and desserts. Thank you very much, everyone felt very comfortable. A great "goody" for this location is that there is a hotel in the immediate vicinity

We celebrated our wedding here a week ago and we would do it here again and again! The staff is super friendly and helpful, all of our wishes were taken into account. The food was very, very tasty, all the guests were thrilled :) absolute recommendation! Thank you again for this successful evening

We have been coming here off and on for many years and are always completely satisfied. The food tastes very good, the atmosphere is nice and the people are all super nice. What more do you want. We remain loyal.

Unsere Vorspeisen (Feldsalat mit Champignons) waren schmackhaft, die Gourmetpfanne hingegen würde ich nicht noch einmal bestellen, da die Fleischmenge gering war und das Fleisch zäh. Der Avocado- Mango-Salat war lecker und seinen Preis wert. Positiv hervorzuheben war der Service.

Simply great, food super tasty, service very good and personal, parking spaces directly opposite, hotel right next door, nice hall for celebrating, nice outdoor area. The prices are definitely appropriate for the quality. We will be back...
