I got to know this restaurant through an invitation from a friend. It's good home cooking at attractive prices. The service is more than friendly, and the total bill was surprisingly down in a positive sense. So a clear recommendation.

A modern brewery with a stylish flair. Christian runs the shop with a lot of love and ensures a varied program to entertain the guests. Whether it's music or comedy, a cozy meal or just a beer in the evening, everything is possible here. In summer you can sit comfortably on the historic market square and enjoy the weather.

The first time in Ratingen and in the community center - what luck. Great location in the city center, beautiful building, great ambience…. Super rustic and cozy, especially when it gets fuller and livelier. Had the wild mushroom ragout with Brussels sprouts, napkin dumplings and separately the Atlbier bratwurst from the starter menu - simply delicious. The kitchen knows what it's doing! Delicious Ratuga Altbier on tap. Service was quick and extremely nice and friendly😀.

The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately there is hardly any music or atmosphere for Christmas. The food was very tasty, but the goose and schnitzel were a bit dry. All in all, however, recommended.

“Accidental find” and still got three seats at the counter despite “FullHouse”. Super friendly staff and really good cuisine. Currywurst as a starter? IT WAS... and it was super tasty. But also the kale with Kassler and Mettwurst. Yes and the delicious beer, absolutely excellent. Anyone who doesn't stop here has definitely missed something.

Recommended for friends of very hearty German cuisine who like to eat salty and pickled food and also like a sweet and sour salad. The short menu has seasonal dishes, including game and cabbage. There is a local beer that I didn't try.

We were already there on June 25, 2024, but forgot to mention here that we were absolutely satisfied. The weather was good, there was also a seat on the market square, the service was very friendly, the salad was great (see photos) and we had a cozy evening. We'd love to come back.

The food is good, but unfortunately that's where it ends. The “boss” of the restaurant is very unprofessional and this is also reflected in the waitress. The prices are okay. Unfortunately, just good food is not enough. Too bad we won't come back. But fortunately there are many other good restaurants in Ratingen.

Delicious, exclusive beer from our own brewery, solid, high-quality food in a historic town house from the late Middle Ages in the heart of the city - what more could you want? Beer garden on the market square and: Ratingen's old town is always worth a visit! My advice; Hratuga cellar beer. The Altbier currywurst is also recommended.

Very pleasant location in the middle of Ratingen. The staff is very friendly and the prices are humane. The food is really tasty and the portions are sufficient. The beer garden is well attended and also well placed. I would love to come here again. Side note: They don't like to move the parasols on their own (which is understandable) - here's our apology for this!😉

On Thursday evening, at Fortuna's relegation game, you will be pampered and you will have to order and pay for your beer downstairs because it is not available upstairs. The food came, you asked for the mayo, you were fussed over again, now the waiter had to run up and down again just for the mayo and pushed the mayo into the hand of a stranger who brought it up....btw the mayo looked really rancid from....Yesterday evening, you're sitting on the stairs outside because there's no table available, you're not being served, you're supposed to go in and order at the counter, you're being accosted at the counter, again, if you're sitting outside you should wait until they do The waitress comes and it's your turn.... is that still possible???....

Schnitzel Wiener Art: Fleisch war gut, gut paniert und gebraten, Kartoffelsalat zu wenig Salz und Pfeffer,zu senflastig, zu sauer. Kartoffeln zu ungleichmäßig, teils viel zu grob geschnitten. Caesar Salat hatte leider sehr wenig mit seinem Namen zu tun. Service war freundlich.

A revelation. As a regular visitor to Ratingen, I somehow managed to miss this place. Local beers, friendly service. Not tried the food as only went out for a drink. There is always next time. There will definitely be a next time.

Das Bürgerhaus mitten im Herzen Ratingens ist immer einen Besuch wert! Liebevoller Herzlicher Service, regionale Zutaten bester Qualität, zubereitet mit Raffinesse und sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Very nice atmosphere in the old town hall from before. The food was very tasty and well seasoned, especially the game goulash and the starter soup. I would be happy to come back with others to eat something different and drink the delicious beer again.

Redesigned the restoration, not bad. However the menu is very boring. It looks like the currywurst was set as an eye-catcher, which has unfortunately become standard these days. But then you no longer have an alternative.

Very nice location for all kinds of celebrations, great hospitality and attractive decoration. But the acoustics are a bit disturbing.

Today we were at the community center for the first time. Had reserved for four people and a dog. The water bowl for our dog was already ready, it was great, the service was super friendly and quick and we all liked the food very much, we will definitely come back!

We had a nice breakfast. From reserving a table, to the friendly service, to the good food, everything was perfect.

First I'll start with the positive. Absolutely good staff who were very attentive. But unfortunately the food isn't great for the price. Schnitzel wasn't really completely baked. The burger with the pulled pork was unfortunately too cold and, for just under €17, much too small. A man who is a little more hungry will definitely not be full.

Nice bar in the center of Ratingen to have a beer, even 7 different ones on tap and they make their own beer. not a place with loud music, as usual in Germany, so you can easily have a conversation. Do not expect an exceptional menu, but food is good! and if you want something slightly different than what the menu indicates, that is no problem at all. I like the place a lott! 

Wir haben dort nichts gegessen, deswegen kann ich dazu nix sagen. Aber das Ambiente und die Angestellten waren top! Schnelle und freundliche Bedienung.

Eine sehr nette Gelegenheit um etwas zu schnabolieren! Sehr lecker und sehr gute Qualität. Jedoch ein kleiner Abzug wegen der etwas kleineren Speisekarte. Die wird jedoch sehr häufig gewechselt und so kommt jeder auf seinen Geschmack. Der kleine Kritik Punkt ist jedoch nicht allzu schlimm zu sehen, denn die Hauptsache ist dass es schmeckt und man ein guten Aufenthalt genießen kann. In dem Sinne guten Appetit und viel spaß bei Mittagessen oder gemütlichen Abenden mit Freunden an der Theke in unserem alten Brauhaus! :)

Leckerer und preiswerter Mittagstisch.

Schönes Ambiente, lädt zum verweilen ein. Essen hat uns gut geschmeckt und das zu einem akzeptablen Preis.

Auf der Karte stand Cremesuppe von Rotkohl & Marone, welche wir direkt probiert haben. Und siehe da, das schmeckte wirklich super. Warum Ente immer nur klassisch? Muss nicht sein, denn es geht auch als Pulled Duck Burger! Die Speisen waren innovativ und sehr gut. Alles regional und gut gekocht. Preis-/Leistung absolut in Ordnung und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

Wir waren mit 14 Personen da und haben ausgiebig gegessen und getrunken. Als wir dann kurz nach 22 Uhr noch einen Espresso und Cappuccino haben wollten sagte der unfreundliche Restaurantleiter Nein. Es steht so in der Karte und deshalb kann er das auch nicht machen. Jo. Wir haben für ein knappen Tausender uns gelabt aber er besteht darauf. Tschüss. Wir kommen nie wieder.

Liebe Mitnutzer von diesem Service...ich bin zu Besuch in Düsseldorf und durfte heute das Bürgerhaus besuchen. Es war sehr gut das wir hier waren denn ich liebe es im Restaurant Fisch zu essen und ich hatte lange keine so gute Forelle. Alle meine Sonderwünsche wurden mir ganz schnell erfüllt und ganz wir hatten ein nettes Gespräch mit dem Chef. Leider kann ich kein Foto präsentieren da ich aus lauter Appetit so schnell war ...das alles ganz fix weg war...das spricht auf alle Fälle für sich 😊😊bitte weiter so !!!Vielen Dank an das tolle Team

Wir waren heute mit der Familie im Bürgerhaus essen. Die Mittagskarte ist übersichtlich, aber für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Es hat allen super gut geschmeckt. Preislich absolut fair 👍 Der Service war einwandfrei, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Bei unserem Tisch war der Wurm drin. Versehentlich wurde ein falsches Essen begongt und gebracht. Kann mal passieren. Das richtige Essen wurde nur wenige Minuten später gebracht und die geringe Wartezeit mit einer kleinen Portion Pommes überbrückt. Super liebe Aufmerksamkeit. Ein wirklich schöner, gemütlicher Ort mit hervorragendem Service und freundlichen Menschen. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, das Bürger Haus zu besuchen, und ich bin begeistert! Das Ambiente ist einladend, das Personal äußerst freundlich und das Essen einfach köstlich. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Frische der Zutaten und die raffinierte Zubereitung der Gerichte. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist mehr als fair.

Am Essen und Service gibt es überhaupt nichts auszusetzen, auch das Ambiente ist klasse. Leider allerdings keine Top-Wertung möglich, da die Akustik sehr, sehr Hellhörig ist. Grade mit großen Gruppen oder n überfüllten Tagen, sehr schwierig. Bei der Einrichtung bzw Ausrichtung des Innenraums würde leider zu wenig auf die Akustik geachtet.

Tolles klassisches Brauhaus zentral gelegen in der Ratinger Innenstadt. Das Ambiente ist sehr gelungen. Es ist modern und trotzdem urig und gemütlich. Der Service ist freundlich und schnell. Ein bisschen schade ist nur, dass es jedes Mal so ein Aufstand ist, wenn man früh kommt und nicht reserviert hat und am Ende sitzt man doch 2 Stunden dort alleine bevor sich der Laden füllt. Die Auswahl selbstgebrauter Biere ist super und alle schmecken fantastisch. Besonders zu empfehlen ist eigentlich immer das Aktionsbier. Das ist das ein oder andere wirkliche Schätzchen dabei. Das Essen ist gute deutsche Küche so wie man es in einem Brauhaus erwartet. Handwerklich und geschmacklich sind die Gerichte auf hohem Niveau und wirklich empfehlenswert.
