On Rose Monday, we experienced an unforgettable celebration at the Gasthaus Kranz in Cologne-Porz. The service was excellent, the staff extremely friendly and attentive. The home-style cooking offered delicious dishes that left nothing to be desired. The cozy atmosphere and the freshly tapped Reissdorf Kölsch beer made the evening perfect. A place we'd happily recommend!
The service was nice and very attentive. The trip for beer is worth it. The price was great. 🍻
Unfortunately the food was a complete disaster. We ordered schnitzel. They were "sour" and unfortunately you couldn't eat them. When we pointed out that the food was apparently spoiled, the owner did not respond to our complaint.
When we entered the place there was a noticeable smell of old grease. That should have been a warning to us.
Grape season is a real favorite place for me! Without exception, the food ALWAYS tastes good, everything is prepared with love and good ingredients and beautifully presented - and then there is the friendly, professional and relaxed service (how does she do that...?)! The ambience - inside and outside - is inviting and cozy and also relaxed. If we want to treat ourselves to a really nice evening, then it should be during grape season 🍷😍
Great, delicious baguettes with the best ingredients along with other delicacies, and the owner is just a friendly guy and knows how to make you feel completely at home. I'm a guest there from time to time, but always.
A spontaneous visit on Saturday evening without a reservation was possible. The restaurant was lightly attended at 6:30 p.m.!
Ambience very appealing. Service was attentive and drinks were brought quickly.
The food, two main courses, were on the table after just under 8 minutes. Salad tasted like it had been in water all day. The baked goat cheese and the fish for the main course are available in the same quality at the discount store.
The fish plate was very manageable. Criticism of quantity and quality was shrugged off.
There will be no second visit. Too bad
Although the atmosphere and service were fantastic, the food didn't really live up to our expectations. We ordered the Iftar platter with biryani and some curries, but everything seemed stale and tasteless. It was served cold, as if it had been prepared two days ago, as the quality of the food seemed to have deteriorated considerably. The only good thing was the bara pav and chat.
We couldn't finish the Iftar platter and left it as it was.
Wonderful restaurant with excellent food, attentive hosts and a very pleasant atmosphere. The daily changing offer means that even frequent visits to the Hasen never get boring.
We ordered a pizza for delivery, but instead of pizza, we got bread, which is very strange. I found that the people on the phone quoted one price, and when they came to our house, the delivery man objected to a different price. We then called again to inquire. They justified this with a delivery charge, although no delivery charge was mentioned or explained to me during the phone call. The pizza had no flavor at all, there was no tomato sauce, and no cheese at all. The pizza still had flour in the dough.
Food is really very tasty! The steak is one of the best in town. Dessert was also really tasty. The parties are cool too. There's always good music playing. Sometimes too crowded. Little space for dancing.
