Service was so quick and the taste of ramen was good.Just to mention , even middle spicy is very spicy :)🌶️

The service is OK, but the noodles and side dishes are not good. I guess it can only fool foreigners.

We had dumpling soup and beef noodle. For us it was average. The soup was a bit bland and doesn't taste so well. I like the dumpling and the noodle. Beef was okay. The lady was nice.

Super cute shop with really great food and lovely service. We were there on a Tuesday afternoon and although it was busy, we still managed to get a table spontaneously. Highly recommended :)

I absolutely loved it. Especially the little aprons we received for dinner; I think that should be normalized, tihi. I also think the lunch menu is absolutely fair.

For me one of the best noodle soups in all of Cologne. The broth is very rich. I find the soup with beef particularly tasty. The starters dumplings are also very aromatic and delicious. In comparison, the dumpling soup is very lightly seasoned and a bit bland. If it's busy it can take a little longer to get the food, but it's worth the wait. Since the store is very small, I would recommend making a reservation in advance.

The only place in Germany that delivers truly spicy soup. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available! Just perfect.

Very genuine Thai restaurant, authentic inside and the food was divine however they don't take bookings and the restaurant is VERY small. We waited 40 minutes outside to then be given a table and then be told it was reserved at 2100......but they apparently don't take reservations? We were then asked mid meal, before 2100 if we would like to move tables, we said we would rather eat quick. The food however was lovely, portion sizes are HUGE so real value for money here.

We had to wait a little because we didn't have a reservation but the staff were great at accommodating us and other spontaneous guests. The food was amazing, I can recommend any kind of dumplings and the roasted potatoes as a starter. We had a nice time and felt right at home despite the place being packed with people and quite small. If that's what you're looking for you will enjoy your stay. :)

You should definitely reserve in advance, there is not much space. The food isn't bad, some dishes are better than others, for example the fried meat is great. Overall a bit milder and not as spicy/intense as you would expect. The broth of the soups could be a bit more powerful and the meat in the soup is a bit dry.

Great little authentic noodle shack. Freshly made noodles which were bouncy and soup was full of deep bold flavours. Beef was a little too tough and not much of it. Good selection of vegetarian options and dry vs wet noodle options. Venue is somewhat small with mostly high bar stool seating good for couples but probably not great for larger groups of 5 or more. Would recommend booking as it can get busy. Service was quick and staff friendly

The staff was very nice and the restaurant is also very cute, although it was very small, but the food really leaves a lot to be desired. I had a chicken broth with chicken and vegetables. The broth only tasted like ginger and you felt like your mouth was going numb. It was inedible. I wouldn't come back again. 15€ is overpriced anyway.

Neither of us really liked it. We were there on a Wednesday evening and things were pretty chaotic.

As a main course - Maultaschen - The broth had hardly any taste - you just had a strange numb feeling in your mouth when you ate it - As a starter I had baked pork with Sichuan pepper - the meat was completely dry and had hardly any taste.

Based on the award and positive reviews, we decided to visit this restaurant. The reception was friendly and the service overall attentive. The starter was OK, with good portioning, so we were initially hopeful. Unfortunately, the impression changed significantly with the main course. The noodles advertised as “homemade wheat noodles” turned out to be ordinary, store-bought goods. The broth was disappointing: too watery, without the expected depth or umami note that makes a good meat broth. Additionally, as mentioned in other comments, it left an unpleasant numbness in the mouth. My companion chose the dumpling soup with shrimp. Here is the same picture: the dumplings fell apart in the broth, so that the filling was floating in the soup. Instead of a sophisticated dumpling filling, this consisted of a loose shrimp with mushrooms, which is far from the typical quality of Chinese dumplings. All in all, our visit was unfortunately a disappointment. The restaurant was unable to come close to meeting the high expectations raised by the award. For us it was not an experience that we would repeat. If I only rated the food, it would only be 1 star; thanks to the nice waitress it would be 2 stars overall.

Be sure to reserve on the weekend! Only has about 20 seats. Food good but sometimes a bit “Germanized”. Very friendly service.

Small, relaxed & quiet restaurant with delicious food.

A small and friendly restaurant with nice atmosphere. The spicy glass noodle was super with original taste. The appetizer fried pork and cold meat are also great! But the spicy potato and chicken noodles we ordered are more localized, not original Chuan style. Have to wait in the line, better book a seat in advance. Service is great and foods come fast.

I'll be completely honest: It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant where I left dissatisfied and disappointed. Unfortunately, the reviews and certificates on the wall deceived me - I guess I fell for it. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but the meat in my sister's dish was so dry that we couldn't even bite through it. Also the broth had no taste at all and left a very unpleasant numb feeling in the mouth. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The food was convincing, only the beef was very tough and didn't really come close to the quality of the other dishes. At some point they will definitely have sesame ice cream again.

One of the best places for Asian soups.🫰🏻 The handmade noodles and dumplings are just delicious delicious delicious. But the “small dishes” that should play a supporting role are also great. The broths are perfectly seasoned and the ingredients are all balanced together. I would recommend having the courage and trying something unusual 😊 We sat right in front of the kitchen. Afterwards, all of our clothes smelled like frying oil. The only negative thing that could be improved.

One of the best restaurants in Cologne for me. The selection is large, as are the portions, and the food is simply great and authentic. I can particularly recommend the “shan zhen ji tang mian”, which is served in beautiful large bowls. Nowadays you really have to be lucky to get a table as there aren't many seats. But alternatively you can also easily order take-away. Clear recommendation – I’ll always be happy to come back!

Bai Luu is an excellent Chinese cuisine restaurant that is really worth a visit! The menu offers a wide choice of authentic dishes, prepared with fresh and tasty ingredients. Each course is a perfect balance of flavour, from the classic spring rolls to the noodles and delicious duck and fish dishes. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff is extremely kind and attentive, always ready to explain the dishes and offer advice on what to try. The service is quick and efficient, but without ever lacking attention to detail. Bai Luu is the perfect place for those who love authentic Chinese cuisine in a relaxed and friendly environment. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is terrible, the food tastes bad, weird flavor and no meat or fish in your meal. We will never eat there again and we don't recommend it as well.

This is a flavor that I have never tasted before. Absolutely authentic and incredibly delicious. Always bring friends here so that they can also enjoy these delicacies. One of my favorite restaurants in Cologne.

Terrible taste and super small portion in a huge bowl

Worst ramen I've had in my life. My assumption would be that the salt fell into my dish and tainted it. However my girlfriends dish was 10x saltier than mine. It literally felt like someone had put the whole tub of salt in it and I'm not even joking... seriously the WHOLE TUB. From looking at reviews I don't know what happened... we went to dusseldorf and played it safe with my usual as I didn't want to be put off ramen for life after that disgraceful dish. It reminded me of the time when a wave hit me in the sea, and I swallowed salt water and was sick. Had a horrible pulsing feeling in my mouth. If I eat more of the dish, I would have been sick 100%.

Went by myself before the busy dinner hours and was the only one (it did fill up after a while though). The food came relatively quickly which I appreciated because I was very hungry. I got 2 starters which were incredibly delicious (Szechuan Fried Pork & the dumplings) with great depth of flavor. The beef noodle soup was also very good, especially the noodles were nice and chewy, the broth was a little salty and could have been a little more spicy to my taste. I finished all 3 plates and was a happy customer :)

The pork dumplings were delicious and very juicy. The main dishes took close to an hour to arrive. Most dishes were topped with burned chili, so bitter is a dominant flavour. Spicy actually means spicy. Other than the spice level, the broth was pretty bland

My colleague recommended this restaurant to me because the restaurant should make its own pasta. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. I ordered the homemade wheat noodles with minced pork and yellow peas. It just didn't have enough vegetables, the meat was a paste and the food was nicely spicy. The noodles was good. Overall the food was ok.

This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem with a really inviting atmosphere. Initially, I considered giving it a 4-star rating at the start because the dry noodles were a bit salty for my taste. However, I recognize that dishes from this region, including Switzerland, tend to be saltier, so the issue might just be my personal preference. I tried the dry noodles, and they were delicious—spicy, flavorful, and well presented. If you’re sensitive to spice (and by this, I mean beyond your usual standard), I recommend trying the non-spicy soup noodles, which are also excellent. The noodles are perfectly tender, and the portions are very generous. As for the cold skewers, while they aren't exactly like the original Sichuan dish, considering we’re in Germany, they still stand out. The ingredients are fresh, the beef is flavorful, and the giblets are a delightful touch. The service is attentive and quick, making the overall experience even better. It’s a fantastic option when you want a break from traditional German cuisine. Highly recommended!

The service is okay, but the food feels a bit salty. The short crispy pork is very large and looks unauthentic and salty. The too big chunks of crispy pork taste like eating lard. The beef noodles are too different from other Cologne noodle shops. Too bad, the soup is also salty. It's really the saltiest noodle I've ever eaten in Germany. It doesn't have all the color, flavor and taste. The dried pea mixed noodles are very greasy at the end but don't taste very good. Most of them are salty. I originally ordered other dishes, but after eating these dishes, I didn’t want to try anything else!

An amazing hidden gem in Rudolfplatz. The dumplings are simply incredible. One of the best Chinese restaurants in Köln. The place is quite small so it might be difficult to find a place during busy hours. The portions are decent for the price. Definitely recommended.

Food was simply delicious. It's definitely different from Japanese ramen, but good in its own way. I hope they expand and get a little bigger soon so more people can enjoy this type of noodles.

It started to rain and we were not offered an umbrella or a place to sit inside, although these were available. When we asked twice, we were able to sit inside in front of a wall with fruit flies. The food wasn't very convincing anymore.

World class! authentic Cantonese cuisine and flavor in your face. In the small shop the only focus is on the food. What's special: there are numerous gluten-free pasta dishes. I can only strongly advise anyone who likes authentic Chinese cuisine to stop by here.

Service took a long time. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as expected. There was absolutely no Sichuan pepper taste in the baked pork. Unfortunately the noodles were a bit bland. The broth tasted slightly burnt. You can't say anything about the ambience since you're sitting right on the street.

Some of the best noodles I've ever had.

We were here 2 times. The first visit wasn't the best, but we thought we'd give it another chance. Unfortunately we are very dissatisfied. We were served by an old lady who seemed very rude and rushed, as if she wanted to do her work as quickly as possible and leave. Showed no joy or politeness towards their customer. We ordered the Maultaschen, we couldn't enjoy the food at all because you could only taste Szechuan pepper and nothing else in the food. I also got diarrhea straight after eating it. That's really a pity. Maybe If we had ordered something else, it would have tasted better, but I wouldn't recommend eating Maultaschen to anyone.

A real underdog! Ambience: Despite Gault Millaut's recommendation, I wanted to leave the restaurant at first. Very narrow and full to the last seat, which is actually a very good sign. Everything is clean and doesn't smell like food or, as is common in many restaurants and snack bars, like a deep fryer. Service: The service is pleasant and very professional. People seem to know what the kitchen can do. It is not possible to flexibly swap the noodles for another soup. But here too, the kitchen seems to know that random substitutions would not have a good effect on the taste of the dish. Food: We tested pretty much everything. Starters: The crispy pork belly is very tasty, I've never eaten it like that before. A sauce would have topped it all off. The pork dumplings are homemade, well seasoned with a delicious, slightly spicy sauce. Delicious! The skewers (beef, chicken liver, chicken stomach) were unfortunately overshadowed by the other dishes. The highlight was really the noodle soup. We had one with gluten free pasta. The broth tasted incredible. I hadn't thought much of noodle soup until then, but this was a different world that really stays on the tongue. For dessert there were rice cakes with syrup and a kind of jelly with sweet sauce and raisins. Knowing that everything is homemade, it is a real must-go for all Asian soup lovers (and all other dishes too)

Super tasty and authentic! My favorite restaurant!

The food we were served there was a moderate disaster. My girlfriend and I have had authentic Chinese food in the past, but last night was an absolute failure. When I asked if I could get some sauce or dip to go with the dry, fried pork, the waiter offered me chili oil and said I shouldn't eat the seeds. My friend had fried potatoes as an appetizer, which simply turned out fries dipped in oil and coated with Sichuan pepper. Unfortunately, the main courses only tasted like water with hot Sichuan pepper and the glass noodles tasted like tasteless gelatin worms. All in all, the food was not only not tasty, but not edible.

Delicious food with reasonable prices. There is a good selection of different noodle soups and also enough for vegetarians and vegans. The broth I ate was nice and mild and warming. The lunch menu is a good deal!

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants! The noodle soups are super tasty and worth it in my opinion. The beautiful interior design creates a relaxed atmosphere. It can get very crowded, I recommend making a reservation. The only thing that was stupid was that once my supper was very oily and since I've had it a few times already, I knew that it wasn't supposed to be that way.

Don't want to complain, but my baked meat was deep fried and very dry. I would have liked a dip or something with it. My wheat pasta with broccoli and chicken was Unfortunately, the taste is not mine either. The broth was just spicy but had no real flavor and was bland. The noodles were good and the vegetables and meat were good too. But I will eat there again and order something else.
