We spent a very pleasant evening here with friends and enjoyed consistently good Spanish cuisine. The selection of tapas was excellent, and we weren't disappointed with any of the dishes. Drinks and food were served quickly, and the staff was attentive and friendly. We particularly appreciated that tables are only booked once, allowing us to sit together comfortably and have a drink after our meal without feeling like we're blocking seats. Combined with the ambiance of the venerable building and its location right on the market square of Ahrweiler's beautiful old town, a visit is definitely worthwhile.

Hello everyone I ate here yesterday, Sunday, after the Christmas market. Unfortunately, Delli isn't a real Spanish restaurant. Aside from the fact that a few tapas and paella are listed on the menu, there's not a hint of Spain here (the ambiance leaves much to be desired). We ordered the tapas platter for two people. It looked very nice, but upon closer inspection, the meat skewers, bacon rolls, and corn were burnt. If you're going to offer something like this, the meat skewers should always be served in pairs so that both people get one. The price-performance ratio for this dish is simply too high, especially since half of it consisted of potatoes. It's supposed to be Spanish, and then you get pizza bread! Absolutely unacceptable. The dips were far too few for two people. We ordered an extra dip, which had to be paid for. Okay, but the fact that they cleared away the dips that weren't empty at the same time is unacceptable. Clearing away glasses that were still half full just because we'd already paid is also unacceptable—simply outrageous! Never again La Familia Delli (sorry).

We were here on Saturday, December 6th, 2025. It was very cold in the restaurant. The so-called rump steak was tough, and the extra vegetable side dish we ordered consisted of one head of broccoli, half a carrot, and half a mushroom. My pork tenderloin skewer consisted of three small medallions and was completely dry and overcooked. One star is already too much!

Yesterday, five of us ate there. We ordered meat, tapas, and pasta, so a fairly representative selection. The restaurant was extremely cold, which was quite unpleasant. Regardless, we had a reservation, so we decided to stay. The service was friendly, and the ordering process went smoothly. The food was served promptly. The meat was burnt and dry. The sauce was just okay. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauces were only mediocre – just thrown together without any care. The tapas: the tortilla tasted just about okay, but it was also poorly made and quite dark on the outside. The prawns were okay, but simply tough. The shrimp were rubbery, and again, the sauce wasn't very good. All in all, I can't understand who gives this place more than three stars. Sorry, but if it had been just the two of us as a couple, I would have sent the food back and left.

We were looking forward to a fantastic paella (pre-ordered). What we got was an overcooked mass of rice with dried-out chicken, sliced ​​corn on the cob, carrots, and a few seafood dishes of indeterminate quality. We're just guests in Neuenahr and were glad to leave the restaurant this evening.

The food was okay, but not amazing (turkey steak with fries and a salad with goat cheese) - the "fresh bread" that came with the salad was cold and was simply "added" to another order without any communication. I'm used to seeing at least two or three slices of bread or small rolls with a salad as a side dish. Incidentally, the goat cheese in the salad didn't taste like goat cheese either, but more like Camembert. What absolutely didn't fit the meal was the price: If I order a full meal (including drinks) for two people for over €50, I expect it to be reasonably filling and not (in the case of the turkey steak) a "greeting from the kitchen."

This was our first time here. Unfortunately, it's five hours away from home, otherwise we'd come more often. The food, the service, everything was perfect. Can we give it more than five stars? 😀

If you're not hungry but don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the place for you. Let me briefly address the points. - Food: We ordered tapas. 4 people, tapas totaling €100. The value for money was absolutely not right here. Four slices of wafer-thin Serrano ham for €8 are simply not appropriate. The same goes for the meatballs and all the other tapas we ordered. Instead of fluffy bread with aioli, we were served pizza rolls, which were so dry they were probably from the day before. Unfortunately, a complete disappointment. The other tapas (mushrooms with garlic in oil, bacon-wrapped dates, olives, calamari, patatas bravas, chorizo, etc.) were average in taste, but too small in quantity. To be full, we would have had to order at least the same amount, if not even more. After the tapas scandal, we decided to order two more pasta dishes to fill us up. The price-to-quantity was right, but the taste wasn't great for my liking. Pasta with strips of beef rump in a red wine sauce with shallots. Sounds excellent. In the end, it was toughly fried strips of beef rump and fried shallots drowned in red wine. So you're basically eating pasta with pure wine. If you like that—okay, but it wasn't to our taste. Let's talk about the service: The waiters were very attentive. However, we found it a shame that the tapas plates were cleared even though they weren't empty. When asked if they could clear them, we replied, "Everything that's empty." That's pretty clear. In any case, the younger waiters were treated very condescendingly and unfriendly by the supervisors. I felt really sorry for them at times. The owners here should perhaps consider whether the restaurant industry is really the right one for them. Third point: ambiance: The interior doesn't really convey a Spanish flair. Parts of the menu also don't correspond to a typical Spanish restaurant. We sat outside and were able to enjoy the life on Ahrweiler's beautiful market square. Therefore, the location and the exterior ambiance deserve three stars. My conclusion: If you're willing to eat a lot of average tapas for a lot of money and not get full, this is the place for you.

We were guests at the Whitsun Wine Market in Ahrweiler and at Delli. Despite the terrace being full, the service was fast and super friendly. The food arrived hot and promptly. A fantastic experience! We'll definitely be back!

Disappointing Experience – Disrespectful Treatment of Employees We were at an event on the market square in the evening and just wanted to get a drink at La Familia Delli. Although there were hardly any customers in the restaurant itself, the staff behind the bar were completely disorganized and overwhelmed. What particularly shocked me, however, was the way the service staff treated them: a commanding tone, disrespectful, and condescending – especially towards two young employees. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially in a profession that is already suffering from severe staff shortages. My advice to young service staff: Don't put up with this – there are plenty of good employers!

Well, this has nothing to do with a Spanish restaurant... They do have tapas, but the quality is rather poor. Let me put it this way: when I go to an Italian, Greek, or Spanish restaurant, I want to take a kind of mini-vacation. That's not possible here.

The location is very nice on the market square, the service is very good, but the food is unfortunately not very convincing, it just didn't taste good and seemed to us to be fried or warmed up frozen food.

We were there shortly after it opened. Large tapas menu. Exactly our thing. The taste was good. But not amazing. We sometimes got different dishes than the one we ordered. But OK, they had only been open for a month. Things can only get better. We went there last weekend again with a real craving for Spanish tapas. The tapas menu had been reduced to a maximum of 15 dishes. When we asked, we were told "we're not a tapas bar". But there was a "pasta menu". Am I at a Spanish or Italian restaurant? I have no idea. We left the restaurant disappointed without ordering. What a shame, because there were already tapas restaurants in Neuenahr that were really great.

The food has nothing to do with Spanish. The small party rolls were from a packet. The accompanying avocado dip was sour. The prawns turned into party shrimp with no flavor or seasoning. The steak was good on the outside, but the sauce didn't go with it at all. All in all, a complete disaster. A shame for such a lovely place, where you can sit and enjoy the evening.

Great food. Nico's service was excellent. This was our first time here and we don't understand why there are tourist restaurants every 100 meters. If you want to enjoy yourself and appreciate upscale service, you should come here. Top-notch.

The food was really good! The tapas arrived quickly and were all super fresh. I particularly enjoyed the patatas bravas – nice and crispy with a spicy sauce – and the prawns al ajo, which were bathed in plenty of garlic (in the best possible way!). The paella was also top-notch – well-seasoned and with plenty of fresh ingredients. The sangria is a must – fruity, not too sweet, and just the thing to end the evening in a relaxed manner. To finish off, we had a crema Catalana, and it was fantastic. What I particularly liked: The people there are super friendly; you can tell they enjoy what they do. You really feel like part of the family.

The food was bland, and I was charged for items I didn’t consume. On top of that, if you want extra Parmesan - and honestly, there was barely any on my plate, they charge an additional 2.50 EUR. I asked to be refunded for the chorizo I didn’t eat, but the staff made a fuss, shifting the conversation to the Parmesan instead. It’s a shame that such a beautiful building isn’t matched by the food quality, atmosphere, or customer service. I understand that mistakes happen, but take responsibility rather than making the customer feel like the problem for simply asking not to pay for something they didn’t consume.

Portion very small but too expensive

Unfortunately you can't give negative stars, I will never go there again, one after the other, there were four of us, a greeting from the kitchen "2 small rolls" and aioli cream (I'll say in advance that it tasted the best of the evening) had ordered tapas, Serrano ham, "It was a normal German ham sprinkled with paprika powder" which was immediately returned, no comment from the staff other than a question about an alternative. Alternative, prawns in garlic sauce also not a hit, then linguine with prawns and Parmesan white wine sauce, Parmesan could be tasted, otherwise pretty tasteless. My wife had a salad plate with chicken breast fillet, one side was fried black and therefore dry, the salad was not a hit either. I don't know a Spanish restaurant very well as I have traveled to Spain on business many times, this one is not even close to one, it probably specializes in tourists here in Ahrweiler and not for residents like me.

The response was: Oops, they must have bought the wrong stuff. We've been asked that question many times. Not recommended for a one-time experience.

The chicken strips were overcooked (very dry), and there was far too little dressing, so the salad was generally very dry. Four pizza rolls were served for two salads...very sparingly. The service is absolutely nothing to complain about! Very friendly and attentive. A plus here. I won't be coming back, though! What a shame!

A spontaneous visit on Saturday evening without a reservation was possible. The restaurant was lightly attended at 6:30 p.m.! Ambience very appealing. Service was attentive and drinks were brought quickly. The food, two main courses, were on the table after just under 8 minutes. Salad tasted like it had been in water all day. The baked goat cheese and the fish for the main course are available in the same quality at the discount store. The fish plate was very manageable. Criticism of quantity and quality was shrugged off. There will be no second visit. Too bad

The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, we were very disappointed with the food. My husband's grilled pork neck steak was very dry and the Calvados sauce was minimal (!). Yes, my husband could have said something directly…. My “skewer of pork fillet wrapped in bacon” (3 small pieces of meat / in the photo I had just cut one of them when I wanted to take a quick picture of it) was delicious, but the spinach was very acidic. I only had a funny blob of sauce, but it was given to me straight away at my request. In general the portions were manageable. We were there on Valentine's Day 2025. Another visit is out of the question for us. Sorry.

On 02.16.2025 I went to dinner and had a dish of fried sea bream fillet with spinach and rice but since I have health problems and am allergic to fried foods I asked the waiter if it could be done on the grill because I was allergic to fried foods and he kindly went into the kitchen to ask and I was told that it could be had after about 10 minutes and the dish arrived and the fillet was completely soaked in acidic oil and it smelled strange, I put it down and returned it saying that it wasn't what I had asked for. The poor waiter kindly didn't know what to say. I asked for the owner to come but no one showed up. They dumped everything on the waiter. In the end I didn't want to pay but I was able to pay anyway. People without dignity and I ended up in the hospital.

The food is consistently excellent - the tapas are not only varied, but also plentiful and a real highlight in terms of taste. We were particularly impressed by the warm atmosphere: the service is extremely friendly and the owner's open nature ensures a real feeling of well-being. A little Viva España 🇪🇦 in the middle of the old town of Ahrweiler! The cozy atmosphere invites you to linger, and in summer it is particularly nice on the terrace on the market square. Definitely a recommendation for anyone who wants authentic Spanish cuisine in a great atmosphere!

Today we ate at La Familia Delli in Ahrweiler. I had a rump steak with onions and mushrooms, sliced ​​potatoes and a specially ordered salad. There were only 8 small slices of potatoes on the plate. The rump steak was very good and the salad was crisp. Since the plate wasn't preheated, the food quickly got cold. The cutlery was of the cheapest kind. To fill me up, I ordered bacon-wrapped dates. These were very tasty. The staff tried hard, but unfortunately they were too overwhelmed, even though the restaurant wasn't full. The ambience was very good. There is still a lot of room for improvement.

The two of us ate there on Halloween. Unfortunately, there wasn't that much going on for the company. Our tapas plate for two people was great. Everything was done to the point and still very hot in place. The female waiter was very nice. Right specialist. Never had to write anything down and the right thing always came out. Respect in this day and age. When she noticed that we were quite relaxed and humorous, we exchanged jokes with each other. We'd love to come back. Highly recommended.

There is friendly service here and if there are specific questions, the boss will be called. That's absolutely good, because not everyone knows everything. The wine selection is ok, as is the selection of food. Some of it is good, some of it is not... Not in terms of taste - because that is always subjective - but in terms of craftsmanship it is not always flawless. One main course, for example, was unfortunately very bitter due to "residual flavors" (caused by charred areas) and therefore not well made. The main course also came too early because the starter had not yet been eaten. Then you have both at the table at once and have to decide which should be cold. That can certainly be done better.

Ordered appetizers and Federweißer for a short break. I had the avocado cream with fresh bread. The cream was okay, I was looking forward to the fresh bread, but what came was three cold, burnt Sunday rolls like you would find in the supermarket. When asked about it, the waitress only responded with an “oja”. It's good that the region is rich in other gastronomy.

Unfortunately I can't recommend the food. We had the linguine with strips of beef. Everything was full of onions and the sauce was sour. Looked unappetizing too. I had a salad with goat cheese. Here too, the balsamic sauce was very sour and the salad was floating in the sauce and was therefore soft. The goat cheese breaded and tasteless. The service was friendly, but hectic. It's a shame, we were looking forward to the evening.

Today there was a music event on the market square. It was very busy. The staff handled it very well. The stress was noticeable, but the staff solved everything with charm and kindness. Admirable.
