Modern Indian restaurant with an extensive menu. You are spoiled for choice. Very friendly service. The dish was tasty, but I missed the Indian touch. The prices are fair and you get full. Perfect for a quick lunch.

Unfortunately for me this was one of the worst Indian restaurants I've ever been to. In my opinion, the food was very lightly seasoned, which is something I don't know from Indian cuisine, and therefore tasted boring to me. The Garlic Naan didn't really taste like garlic either and was harder rather than softer, and not like what I've seen in other restaurants. The prices were okay, but I don't think the prices are appropriate for the quality. The atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

Eatdoori is an interesting restaurant that boasts a modern atmosphere and a diverse Indian menu. However, it is confusing that they advertise halal meat but still offer alcohol. The taste of the food was okay, but unfortunately the butter chicken wasn't completely convincing - it lacked a bit of depth and spice. Otherwise, the service was friendly and the selection was good, but there is still room for improvement.

As an Indian, my honest impression of the two dishes (Butter Chicken & Chicken Biriyani) that I ordered. Taste: Has little to do with authentic Indian taste. Price: the price is €2.00-2.50 per dish, expensive in comparison. Since the taste wasn't right, I found it all the worse. Ambience: nice and inviting. Staff: Nice and friendly. The drink order was misunderstood (linguistically) by the waitress. However, after consulting with the team leader, I was no longer willing to correct this order. Service: Nowadays you feel like you have to set the table yourself everywhere (experience kitchen) I think for someone who wants to try a foreign cuisine but doesn't necessarily have to experience authentic cuisine, it's a very good choice. The store is full that Saturday. Therefore, they already meet the right taste of many people. Vg

The food was delicious, but you don't get enough rice as a side dish. You don't get full and have to order extra. What surprised me the most is that in an Indian restaurant you usually get free naan bread and various sauces before the main course. Unfortunately, this friendly gesture is missing. So the concept is more focused on profit than on customer satisfaction.

Had dinner at this restaurant on a number of occasions during my stay in Cologne. Staff were friendly and polite and very helpful with the menu. I has chicken korma which was wonderful. The chicken meat was very tasty and the korma perfect. Accompanied by a beer. Great. I has the same dish at an Indian restaurant further down the street and the produce there was by far, inferior. I recommend this restaurant.

I've tried numerous Indian restaurants all around the world. I wouldn't put this on the list of favorites. Food lacked spices in the masala and butter chicken. Cheese garlic naan had no garlic and could use more cheese. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly.

The food was incredibly delicious! I was here for the second time today and will definitely come again. I especially recommend the homemade mango iced tea as a drink, but also the cold Masala Chai as a sweet drink for the summer. There is plenty of food choice to suit all tastes. The food is perfectly seasoned and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are really friendly too! I recommend it 100%, you're missing out if you don't come here.

The two of us ate there today. We were welcomed with the words. "Hi until the game starts, but since you left" there was no reservation or anything else at our table. Since I usually like to eat there, we stayed accordingly. We ordered and, as usual, the food arrived relatively quickly. The prices have increased, which of course is slowly commensurate with the times, but such a small amount of rice, let alone the portion of curry, was just a disgrace. You couldn't get enough of the main course!!!! (Personally, unfortunately, I really can't eat much, which is why I usually eat at least I always had 1/3 of the portion packed up) Actually, you can say that such a portion might have been fair for a child. In my opinion the service was really not good. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink, let alone before we started eating, the paper pad was handed to us and the cutlery in the can was simply slammed onto the table. When we asked for the bill/payment, the waitress was apparently absent and completely somewhere else. This can of course happen, which is why we asked for the invoice again directly. When the waitress was on her way to us, the waitress stood in the door with her wallet and card machine with her cell phone and this went on for a few minutes until she was finished and we could finally pay. Normally I really like to tip, but if you can't even wish me a nice day then it's really not. I really think it's a shame how this visit turned out because I always enjoyed eating here. However, I hope that at least on the next visit the food will be of sufficient size so that you can at least fill yourself up, because the food itself tastes excellent.

The food was truly great 10/10 The mango lassi and lemon mint lassi is to die for🤩 But the restaurant was almost empty (one other family and us) and yet the food took ages to arrive They display the Euro matches outside for their customers so that was great!

Wir waren mit einer etwas größeren Gruppe dort. Mit der Reservierung hat im Vorfeld auch alles super gut geklappt. Das Essen war sehr schnell und kam auch gleichzeitig für alle an. Zum Essen kann man sonst nur sagen: Die Portionen sind groß und sehr sehr lecker. Jeder ist auf jeden Fall satt geworden! Kann man nur weiterempfehlen!

We ordered papdi chat, sweet potato patty, gobi manchuria and Andhra chicken for starters. All of them were excellent. For main course we ordered veg biryani, planted chicken and chicken Tikka . Chicken Tikka was a bit salt but except that everything was delicious.

Being an Indian, I recommend their Thalis for anyone who wants to enjoy healthy meal because their food isn’t oily at all. I really praise the Indian chef. He also gave us complimentary desserts. Thank you guys for making our visit memorable.

I am usually a regular at eatDOORI in Frankfurt and was very excited to see whether the “branch” in Cologne could achieve the high food standards from Frankfurt. We were absolutely convinced!!! Nice ambience (more comfortable than in FFM), coupled with super friendly service staff and convincing food here too, leave no doubt about the quality! Everything is just very harmonious and we felt very comfortable! Thank you for a lovely evening and we will definitely be back on our next “Cologne trip” 👍🏻😃!

Food and ambience very good. But you end up in a narrow area at the back, even though the whole store is empty, if you don't have a reservation. Please note, we were there for 2 hours and all the reserved tables were still empty.

I recently had lunch at eatDOORI, and it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my meal was the Khadai Paneer, which was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfect, and the paneer was cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef for such a wonderful dish! This is definitely a great place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Food was good, We ordered momos, pav bhaji and chole puri. Mongo lassi vegan was highlight for me. It was too tasty. Pav bhaji could be more tangy. It was too buttery and mixed with some other stuff. Overall experience was nice as stuff and ambience is super cool.

This was amazing. I really like butter chicken and when I tell you I would come back for this it is not a lie. When I asked the server to add extra vegetables she was very pleased to do so. The butter chicken itself was so flavorful and it was a bit spicy but not too spicy that my mounts was on fire. It was perfect!! And not that expensive! We had two drinks, one starter and two main and it was 56 euro.

I have eaten here few times and I find something good to enjoy here every time. They can work on their cocktails but food is great. Last time I was impressed by their biryani.

We chose the restaurant at random, but given the location on the rings, we didn't expect such a good overall result. The food was very tasty (tasty starter platter, well-seasoned main courses (portions could perhaps have been a little larger)). The only small weak point is the shared sink near the toilets.

I would give this place 5 stars and here are my reasons 1) only Indian restaurant seen so far in Europe which does not depict the picture of India just by putting some paintings of Taj Mahal or a lady carrying some clay pot. Interior is just incredible to enjoy not just the food, also for drinks. 2) food is authentic Indian food. Best part is that they don’t add artificial food colours just to make it look tempting or delicious. Food is actually delicious and not really flooded with oil/butter/ghee. Too good to be true 😋 3) they have amazing drinks/ concoctions e.g. mango lassi with vodka and many more 4) complimentary green chutney, pickles and salad Overall had a perfect dinner

I was here for the Iftar meal, but unfortunately I might have to keep my fast for 30 minutes longer because they didn't give dates and water and airan like in Tiktok advertising and then forced us to go somewhere else to break the fast at all! Outrageous!

Chicken Tikka Masala - number one! Atmospheric place.

Chic restaurant with friendly and quick service. The food was absolutely delicious, some things were a little too seasoned but still great. A little more expensive but ok. Starter: Masala Wings, absolute recommendation, not too spicy, enough portion for two people Main courses: Chicken Tikka Tadka: very tasty, something different, pleasant seasoning, not too spicy, decent portion Butter Chicken: Meat/sauce portion large, rice okay can be balanced out with naan, a little over-seasoned and therefore a little too spicy, which was a shame, if you like it spicier then you might like it. Naan were good, the garlic naan with lots of garlic (butter and garlic) Mango lassi is absolutely delicious and not too thick The place is very nice and absolutely recommended. You should just avoid the table at the entrance around the corner as it is very drafty, but this was pointed out.

I've already been there three times and last time I promised the very nice service that I would finally write a review.😍 It's super quiet here on Sunday lunchtime, but you can fill your stomach with all the delicious food and have a good time. On Saturday evenings it is of course very crowded and the noise level is correspondingly high - but the food was at the table super quickly and, as always, absolutely delicious! Even when the outside temperature is mild, it is very cold/uncomfortable in the toilet area (which is designed very coolly like a tent). If you sit there near/near the kitchen, your feet get quite pulled, perhaps a well-insulated door would be nice. But that's complaining at a high level 🤷🏼‍♀️

Es war super lecker. Wir waren schon mehrfach hier und kommen gerne wieder.

Absolut grauenhafte Erfahrung. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 5 Personen gebucht, leider ist aber die 5. Person krankheitsbedingt ausgefallen. Wir haben das dann entsprechend mitgeteilt, woraufhin wir nicht den ursprünglichen Tisch bekommen haben und zunächst an die Theke platziert wurden. Soweit so in Ordnung. Danach wurden wir an einen anderen Tisch gesetzt und haben zunächst Getränke und wenig später Essen bestellt. Das Essen kam dann auch recht zügig und es war essbar. Recht laff, nichts besonderes… Als wir gerade einmal 10 Minuten unser Essen hatten, wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass wir in einer halben Stunde den Tisch frei machen müssten. Es wäre wohl so, dass eine Reservierung nur für eine Stunde gilt. Als ich mich darüber beschwert habe, kam die Hausdame für weitere Interaktionen und Aufforderungen zum Gehen schon gar nicht mehr selber. Die Leuten die an unserem eigentlichen Tisch saßen, waren derweil im übrigen seit 1 1/2 Stunden gemütlich am dinieren. Ich weiß nicht ob es Negativität gegenüber Familien mit Kindern, reine Unhöflichkeit oder Profitgier war, aber man sollte dieses Restaurant besser meiden und ein authentisches indisches Restaurant besuchen.

Das Essen war leider sehr scharf, obwohl es so nicht explizit in der Karte stand. Der Service hat sehr lange gebraucht, um die Bestellung aufzunehmen und hat sich selten nach dem Rechten erkundigt.

Worst restaurant we've ever been to. First we should sit at the bar. Then we got a table right by the door. We asked to be moved (even our cards flew away in the gust of wind when the door opened and closed due to new guests). By the way, all of this despite reservations. After an hour we were asked to pay because the table had been reassigned. We came as a family (2 adults and 2 children). This has never happened to us before. We are definitely never coming back!

Personal war freundlich Geschmacklich ist das Essen gut und entsprechend der Erwartung, einzig die Samosas waren mässig, was die Füllung angeht.

Bedienung top! Essen im Vergleich zu früheren Besuchen eher mäßig - kleine Portionen und verhältnismäßig teuer. Warum eine kleine Schale mit Kichererbsen in Soße 15,50€ kostet, bleibt ein Rätsel. Achtung - Koriander steht nicht immer mit dabei, auch wenn er im Essen ist!
