My favorite Indian restaurant for years! Everything there is delicious (both daal dishes are my favorite!), and the staff are incredibly friendly and the service is top-notch 🥇 A special recommendation is the lunch special, a super-delicious thali! I'd happily go back anytime 😊

The food and the ambiance are outstanding. The little blonde waitress is fantastic! She's always in a good mood and always smiling, which is fantastic! 🥰

It’s our third year coming to Anuga, and we come here every single time!!! This is the best Indian place in Cologne ever! The food is insanely delicious, and the service is outstanding!🥹 We’ll be back in two years, as always!🥰

Service is overrated , I couldn’t even take a look at Menus and he want me to order, in 2 minutes ask me three times, but good was 10/10, and to be honest the other guy was perfect

Probably the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to.

The staff and food were good. They serve authentic Indian cuisine. Ask for Indian spicy for authentic taste. My only disregard is that there are flies in the Seating area near the door.

Friendly staff at the restaurant. The restaurant is open and beautifully decorated. Restrooms are clean. There is one wheelchair-accessible restroom. The entrance is also accessible for people with disabilities. You can order beer and other drinks at your table or at the bar. The food is clean and delicious. We ate excellent biryani! Very well served! The cheese naan was delicious! We arrived an hour before closing time and weren't rushed. Thanks to the waitress and the cook! Good value for money

I come regularly, but also regularly online, and it has never disappointed me. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect, and I highly recommend it. The staff is so friendly, whether it's the bartender or the service itself. So, it's truly one of my favorite spots here in Cologne.

Excellent food quality and quantity. Ambience is really nice. Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka masala are a must try. Staff is really friendly and food is served really quick. Worth a visit!!

We took advantage of the vegetarian options. 🌱 We had the biryani with vegetables (eggplant, broccoli, carrots, and peas) and a burger with a breaded cheese patty and caramelized onions. We really enjoyed the burger. The ingredients worked well together. It was also served with fries, but I unfortunately didn't like the sauce. We paid about €14 for it. The biryani was a good portion and tasty, a bit salty for my taste, but it came with yogurt (raita) and balanced it out. We paid about €16 for it. Comparing the prices, overall, 4/5 stars ⭐️

The shop looked very nice, but the sound is very loud and unfortunately we didn't like the food, the fried cauliflower was rather mushy and the chicken from the starters wasn't good either. The Naan Garlic was delicious though. Unfortunately the worst was the mouse under the table, yes it can happen... but the employee said that couldn't be the case and searched a completely different area with his cell phone, simply unprofessionally and cheekily portraying me as a liar. For 2 drinks & 3 starters just under €28, now not a shop I would visit again.

I placed an order within the delivery times, after more than 1.5 hours and 3 drivers my order was canceled.

Das Restaurant ist super zu erreichen. Wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Platz gebracht. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und passend. Eine leckere Auswahl an Essen und Getränken! Das Essen ist super lecker und wirklich so wie man es sich vorstellt. Die Portionen sind auch gut und Preis Leistung stimmt! Wer ein indisches Restaurant sucht, ist hier mehr als richtig! Das Getränk lassi Mango 😍😍

Delicious food, fair prices and nice staff

The staff was very unfriendly and rude. When I complain that the momos (starter) was not really delicious and i would like to cancle the main course then they said it is not possible, i said ok then you can bring the main course. I was talking in English, she (waiter) thought i could not understand German, and she said behindert, which we heard, and me and my daughter was angry on them and refuse the meal and wanted to leave, but the lady (waiter) said she will call the police if we will not pay for the main course, which was not even served, i refused that and said yes call the police. But she hasn’t called and i paid only for the drinks and momos. Because it wasn’t my fault, she was rude and insulted me. I don’t know how they run their restaurant and how they deal with their customers. It wasn’t accepted by me. I hope the owner will read my review and take an action against that lady. And i will not recommend any other people to go there.

INCREDIBLE!!!! In my 18 years here in Germany, I have never experienced such disrespectful treatment! The waitress - whose name we unfortunately don't know - was not only rude, but downright insulted us. When we complained about her behavior, she even threatened to call the police on us, as if we had done something wrong or as if we were being intimidated. When we told her she was welcome to do that, of course she didn't do it because she knew full well that we were right. And all because we wanted to pay for the main course, which we hadn't received yet, after the starter was already a disaster. We know Indian cuisine very well, and what we were served there had absolutely nothing to do with it!

The food was served to us cold, the customer service was very poor, the food was far too spicy for normal German standards and the prices were also far too high

I've really never experienced such a bad atmosphere - and it wasn't because of the look of the store, but solely because of the food and the shocking service. I ordered momos that were simply inedible. When I told the waitress this, she insulted me - what?! Such disrespectful treatment is absolutely unacceptable and no one should put up with it! When I asked what that was about, other guests intervened and accused me of making fun of the waitress and not understanding German. Why? Just because I wear a headscarf? This is just unbelievable and disappointing. I definitely can't recommend this place!

We had an amazing meal at Eatdoori Cologne! The Dal Makhni was rich and flavorful, the Naanwich was a unique and delicious twist, and the Mango Lassi was perfectly refreshing. The ambiance was modern yet cozy, and the staff was very friendly. If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors in Cologne, this place is a must-visit!

I've lived in the Belgian Quarter for three years, and this is my absolute favorite restaurant. The place is tastefully and comfortably decorated, the Thali lunch is incredibly filling and very, very tasty! The other dishes are also incredibly good. There's a very large and creative selection of dishes—I'd love to try the entire menu. Our favorites are the Gobi Sweet & Sour, palak paneer, Butter Chicken (also available with paneer cheese), and of course, all variations of the naan bread. Add a mango lassi, and a food coma is guaranteed. I've always had friendly service and have always received a very warm welcome. Highly recommended and many thanks to the whole team! Edit: Even after all these years, it's still unbeatable. We love coming here—it's the most delicious break you can have!

Although the atmosphere and service were fantastic, the food didn't really live up to our expectations. We ordered the Iftar platter with biryani and some curries, but everything seemed stale and tasteless. It was served cold, as if it had been prepared two days ago, as the quality of the food seemed to have deteriorated considerably. The only good thing was the bara pav and chat. We couldn't finish the Iftar platter and left it as it was.

I tried the Ramzan special thali at this Indian restaurant in central Cologne area. The meal was hearty and reasonably priced. The service was solid, especially considering it was a busy Saturday during rush hour. Great vibes—recommended!

Is het even wandelen vanuit het centrum van Keulen, maar dan tref je ook een zeer sfeervol restaurant aan. De geserveerde curry maaltijden waren heerlijk. Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was perfect.

It tasted good and the service was good. My Indian friends liked it too :) Unfortunately it was a change between very warm and cold at my place. Maybe it was the spotlights, but it was a bit uncomfortable. (We sat at the round table right next to the counter)

Nice place to eat. I have visited most of the Indian restaurants in cologne and i found it good. We were here for my birthday dinner and we were happy that we went there.

Had the butter chicken thali for lunch. The butter chicken itself was good, but I also had a much better one from another Indian restaurant. There was also a red lentil curry, potato pea curry and naan bread. It was all super delicious. The mango lassi was also great. For dessert there was a mango cream and an espresso. Service was very attentive and very nice. In terms of price/performance you can't complain! Would come again.

Authentic Indian food is something different. The portions are too small, apart from the rice which was unfortunately overcooked. The service and the restaurant itself are good. But I wouldn't eat here anymore.

Voor we hier aten zijn we ook gaan kijken bij se revieuws. Ondanks wisselende commentaren hebben we toch op zaterdag 19u30 gereserveerd. We kwamen toe en werden vriendelijk onthaald. Aperitiefje besteld en hoofdmaaltijd doorgegeven. Onze Aperitief werd aan tafel gebracht. Nog geen 5 min later was ons eten er ook al. Dit is een gebruik dat je in België niet tegenkomt. Eten was lekker, de tiki massala is wel zeer pikant. De setting klopt idd niet met andere Indische restaurants. Het is een hippe bar zonder Indische verwijzingen. Dus al je voor sfeer gaat ben je er aan voor de moeite. Het moet ook wel vooruit gaan en was zeer druk. Een gezellige rustige avond was hier niet aan de orde. Dus niet slecht maar ik zou persoonlijk niet meer teruggaan.

Good Indian Food Restaurants with Nice Ambience.

Very tasty food and the service was also great. We particularly enjoyed the samosas, butter chicken and lamb biryani.

The one star is for the food, which tasted good. We were seated at a table by the door while it was 5 degrees outside so we were allowed to eat our meal in winter jackets. Every time the door was opened there was a cold draft. When we asked if we could sit at another table, the first waiter responded with a rude "No" and when asked a second time, our waitress said that wasn't possible because otherwise the other guests who were seated at that table would sit , complain. This shows that the problem is known and that guests are still knowingly seated at this table, even though complaints are expected in advance. In addition, the service overall was quite slow and at least the female waiter was rather unfriendly and not trying hard. Overall, unfortunately not recommended.

Unfortunately for me this was one of the worst Indian restaurants I've ever been to. In my opinion, the food was very lightly seasoned, which is something I don't know from Indian cuisine, and therefore tasted boring to me. The Garlic Naan didn't really taste like garlic either and was harder rather than softer, and not like what I've seen in other restaurants. The prices were okay, but I don't think the prices are appropriate for the quality. The atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

Eatdoori is an interesting restaurant that boasts a modern atmosphere and a diverse Indian menu. However, it is confusing that they advertise halal meat but still offer alcohol. The taste of the food was okay, but unfortunately the butter chicken wasn't completely convincing - it lacked a bit of depth and spice. Otherwise, the service was friendly and the selection was good, but there is still room for improvement.

As an Indian, my honest impression of the two dishes (Butter Chicken & Chicken Biriyani) that I ordered. Taste: Has little to do with authentic Indian taste. Price: the price is €2.00-2.50 per dish, expensive in comparison. Since the taste wasn't right, I found it all the worse. Ambience: nice and inviting. Staff: Nice and friendly. The drink order was misunderstood (linguistically) by the waitress. However, after consulting with the team leader, I was no longer willing to correct this order. Service: Nowadays you feel like you have to set the table yourself everywhere (experience kitchen) I think for someone who wants to try a foreign cuisine but doesn't necessarily have to experience authentic cuisine, it's a very good choice. The store is full that Saturday. Therefore, they already meet the right taste of many people. Vg

The food was delicious, but you don't get enough rice as a side dish. You don't get full and have to order extra. What surprised me the most is that in an Indian restaurant you usually get free naan bread and various sauces before the main course. Unfortunately, this friendly gesture is missing. So the concept is more focused on profit than on customer satisfaction.

Tengo el mismo plato en un restaurante indio más abajo en la calle y los productos allí eran de lejos, inferiores. Recomiendo este restaurante.

I've tried numerous Indian restaurants all around the world. I wouldn't put this on the list of favorites. Food lacked spices in the masala and butter chicken. Cheese garlic naan had no garlic and could use more cheese. Staff were friendly and food came out quickly.
