We went for the champagne brunch, and I have to say, we were pretty disappointed, the price-performance ratio wasn't right for us.

We were there yesterday for my carnival company's fish dinner. The three-course menu, which was also available as a vegetarian option, was excellent

Great evening at Augustin! The food was, as expected, excellent. We were particularly impressed by the great service surrounding the meal, which made the evening perfect and courteous.

We were 5 people, for the first visit to this restaurant. The menu was very interesting. I had sea urchin mouse, with lobster, served in a sea urchin shell. Very different indeed! For my main course, I selected , black pudding, with apple, onions, and mushrooms which was served with creamed potatoes, a classic, which was so good. I wish that I had asked what variety of potato had been used, as they were absolutely delicious. I could have just eaten the creamed potatoes, on there own! One of our party had a question with her dessert. The query, was quickly and very professionally sorted. That's what I call service. The food was excellent, service polite and friendly, all in all a great evening. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food was very tasty and was presented in a very visually appealing way. I found the sea urchin stuffed with lobster particularly exciting. Nevertheless, I had the impression that there was still something missing in terms of taste for all courses, also in view of the price. I liked the location, although that's certainly a matter of taste. Service was very friendly. However, when I ordered, I was promised that the menu price would not change even though I wanted to swap a course for a dish from the menu. Unfortunately, things looked different in the end...

We had a great and delicious evening in the Augustin restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, super cozy and, above all, not too loud. We decided against the suggested multi-course menu and chose two dishes from the menu. The bread as a starter and the cremant as an aperitif were very tasty. The sea urchin was an absolutely new taste experience for me, great! The recommended wines for the dishes were very good. Instead of dessert there was a fine, 10 year old port wine. There was nothing wrong with the service either. Quick and very hard working. Thank you for the great evening, which we would like to repeat on the terrace in the summer :).

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. As soon as you enter, you are enchanted by the stylish ambience. The food was excellent and the service was attentive, even special requests were taken into account. Everything is just right here. Clear recommendation!

Very friendly service and very good food. Individual wishes are implemented without any problem. The rooms are high, walls and ceilings painted in anthracite (dark). The chairs are a bit uncomfortable for slightly corpulent guests. The food makes up for the gloomy ambience.

Ideal place to be pampered in a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the 4-course menu without wine because of Dry January. Alternative non-alcoholic aperitifs were very creative and convincing.

We celebrated our civil wedding in December at Restaurant Augustin with our family over lunch and were completely thrilled! The food was a real treat for the palate and the eye. The main course and the pistachio mousse were absolute highlights and were praised effusively by our guests. The wine selection also matched the menu perfectly. The atmosphere was very tasteful and cozy, so we immediately felt at home. The service was excellent – ​​attentive and always helpful. A very special thank you goes to Daria, who actively supported us in the planning and worked with us to put together a menu that thrilled us and our guests. We can highly recommend the Augustin Restaurant Cologne for celebrations of all kinds!

Tolles Essen, tolles Service, tolles Weinkarte, tolles alles, you must go!

Als erklärte Fans von Eric Werner waren wir etwas enttäuscht. Die Location ist zwar groß, aber sehr schön und die Crew war unfassbar freundlich und aufmerksam. Da konnte das Essen leider nicht mithalten: wir hatten das Tatar, das aus drei kleinen, in Salat eingewickelten Röllchen bestand, die sich in einem Jus befanden, der eine extreme Säurenote hatte. Die Blutwurst im Himmel und Ääd war sehr schmackhaft, die Waldpilze dazu fand ich jedoch nicht passend- dafür fehlte mir der Apfel, der nur in kleinen rohen Stücken über die Waldpilze gestreut war. Das Tellerbild war überhaupt nicht ansprechend- die Zutaten waren einfach auf einen übervollen Teller „geschaufelt“ worden. Die Bouillabaise hingegen war hervorragend. Alles in allem hatten wir uns eine etwas raffiniertere, feinere Küche vorgestellt.

In fact I have to say the food was just ok. The chestnut soup was extremely tasty, as was the celery, but the other dishes such as the halibut, the gnocchi and the duck were not particularly special. The price-performance ratio wasn't right. The service, however, was extremely friendly.

Great restaurant with extremely good food, nice atmosphere and really attentive and friendly service. I had the 4-course menu offered and my companion had their own combination of three courses. Everything is simply delicious.

The ambience is great! The service is a bit over the top. Relatively large wine list, but not much could be said about the wines. But the Chardonnay was great. Star deduction for the lukewarm bouillabaisse, which I also found a bit too spicy. The gnocchi was ok, but not a revelation. There is no vegetarian version of the menu, which I think is outdated, hence the second star deduction.

Here is the eye with! Not only the particularly tasty, elegantly prepared dishes, but also the ambience in the beautiful dining room is excellent. The attentive service staff are discreet, friendly and competent. The restaurant offers a relatively small but fine selection of dishes...but you are spoiled for choice when it comes to the wine list. All in all, a great address for upscale appointments, business lunches or romantic dates with that certain something extra. Thank you, we'll be back!

Das Ambiente ist toll! Der Service ist ein bisschen überdreht. Relativ große Weinkarte, aber es konnte zu den Weinen nicht viel gesagt werden. Der Chardonnay war dann aber toll. Sternabzug für die lauwarme Bouillabaisse, die ich auch etwas zu würzig fand. Die Gnocchi waren ok, aber keine Offenbarung. Das Menü gibt es nicht in vegetarischer Variante, das finde ich aus der Zeit gefallen, zweiter Sternabzug.

Schönes Restaurant, tolles Ambiente. Unser Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und hat einen perfekten Service geboten. Das Essen war von hoher Qualität, die Weinbegleitung perfekt abgestimmt. Einzig die Lautstärke ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig - unbedingt einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich nahe der Küche buchen. Dort ist es etwas ruhiger. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und werden definitiv wiederkommen.

Doch sehr hochpreisig! Umfangreiche Weinkarte, aber ebenfalls zu hoch eingepreist! Sehr netter, zuvorkommender und schneller Service! Schönes Ambiente, im Sommer gibt es einen schönen Innenhof!

Mag Eric Werners Astrein, das Essen dort sehr, auch wenn es an der Strassenseite kalt und zügig sein kann, das Augustin als sein Zweitresto hingegen ist eine Katastrophe, da man sich ab einer gewissen Auslastung anschreien muss, um sich zu unterhalten. War mit Geschäftspartnern dort und hatte was Wichtiges zu besprechen, was angesichts der Horrorakustik - so schön man den Raum finden kann - überhaupt gar nicht möglich war. Keine Ahnung, welcher Architekt das verbrochen hat. Daher haben wir schnell unsere Hauptspeise runtergeschlungen - Lotte mit Muscheln und Gemüsewürfeln - für 34 Euro akzeptabel - und ergriffen die Flucht in eine ruhige Hotelbar um die Ecke, nicht ohne 10 Min. lang an der fünffach zugekleisterten Garderobe unsere Mäntel zu suchen und rauszupellen - auch katastrophal. Insgesamt waren die Umstände komplett ungenügend, da ohne die Option, miteinander am Tisch sprechen zu können, jeder kulinarischer Genuss zum Scheitern verurteilt ist. Hatte sogar mal darüber nachgedacht, dort Silvester zu buchen, aber ohne akustische Verbesserung kann Werner das Augustin in die Tonne kloppen.

We had an excellent experience at yoor restaurant. The service was warm, attentive, and efficient, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived , Tom and Elena were very efficient and attentive, undivided attention and like swans gliding to serve the hungry and excited costumers , the decor is divine ,and we met a very chic , well cultured lady beside us . Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with vibrant flavours and fresh ingredients that exceeded expectations. The presentation was beautiful, and everything arrived at the perfect temperature even though we can only see 2 capable staff on the floor . Eine rundum positive Erfahrung, kein Sternerestaurant, aber eine kreative Küche mit individueller Note. Stimmige Zusammenstellung der Gerichte. Großzügige Portionen, kleine, aber gute Auswahl an offenen Weinen, die wir alle vor der endgültigen Entscheidung probieren konnten. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, lediglich die Lautstärke ist wegen der Deckenhöhe recht hoch, auch wenn die Gäste eher nicht von der lauten Sorte sind. Wunderschöner Innenhof, der im Sommer sicher etwas ganz Besonderes ist.

Tasteful ambience, delicious food, I enjoyed the evening, even if it was a while ago

Was für ein Reinfall! Wir hatten über Open Table einen Tisch zum Geburtstag einer Freundin für 5 Personen gebucht. Wir mussten erst mal im Eingang 10 Minuten warten, bis man unseren Tisch hergerichtet hat. Vor Ort war nur eine (tolle und sehr bemühte) Aushilfe, die man an ihrem 2. Arbeitstag allein gelassen hat. Es gab „nur“ Hotelfrühstück vom Buffet. Das war für diesen Zweck gut, hatte aber nichts mit den Bildern auf Open Table zu tun. Es hat über eine viertel Stunde gedauert, fünf Gläser Sekt zu bekommen. Weil die Aushilfe den Unterschied zwischen Champagner, Sekt, Cremant und Prosecco nicht kannte. Für das Geld hätten man mehr erwarten dürfen. Alles in allem: nie wieder.

Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal, dass ich auf alle Personen an einem Tisch einstellt. Das Essen war sehr lecker, authentisch und die Portionen groß. Perfektes Preisleitungsverhältnis. Bei den Weinen hätte ich gerne 2-3 mehr unter 100 € gehabt. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner und gelungener Abend und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir hatten gestern eine herrliche Erfahrung hier. Allein das Ankommen war sehr familiär, als ob wir alte Freundinnen wären. Die Beleuchtung sorgt dafür, dass einem gleich bewusst ist, dass der Abend besonders wird. Wir hatten uns sorglos um nichts kümmern müssen, das Menü war unsere Wahl. Das Brot mit Lauchöl war ein Traum. Der Rest stieg nur in der Qualität. Vielen Dank dafür. Unser Abend war perfekt.

I would like to thank the Augustin team very much. You gave me a wonderful birthday evening. The atmosphere is stylish and modern. The room has a wonderful feeling thanks to its wall color and the countless chandeliers. We immediately felt comfortable and welcome. The individuality makes this jewel in the heart of Cologne one of the best restaurants. The menu is kept small, which I personally think is a good thing, because you know that the food is freshly cooked and that quality is important. A beautifully selected wine list rounded off the experience. My main course (pink roasted US roast beef) was terrific. Very juicy and tender, I just wished that in an upscale restaurant they also stocked fish and steak knives with the meal. This as a little information for the team. I recommend everyone, whether single, couple or group, to eat here. Thank you dear team Augustin!

Ein wundervolles und einzigartiges Restaurant im Herzen von Köln. Individuell und kreativ eingerichtet, mit dem Mut, mal was anders zu machen. Das Ambiente wirkt edel und modern aber nicht bieder. Due Atmosphäre war sehr freundlich und willkommend. Der Spirit des Personals hat sich auf die Gäste übertragen und hat somit eine wundervolle Atmosphäre kreiert.

Ach, wären wir dich nach der Vorspeise gegangen. Es hätte vielleicht noch ein schöner Abend werden können. Da Ambiente des Restaurants Augustin mit dem Innenhof ist wunderschön und die bestellte Vorspeise mit Thunfisch war ein großartiges Geschmackserlebnis. Aber dann: Da als rosa gebraten angekündigtes Roastbeef war durch. Beilagen waren unter anderen laut Karte Pfifferlinge und Spinat. Auf meinen Wunsch hin, auf en Spinat zu verzichten und stattdessen ein paar mehr Pfifferlinge beizugeben hieß es zwar ("Können wir machen") aber zu den wenigen Pfifferlingen auf dem Teller gesellten sich reichlich Champignons. Das passte geschmacklich gar nicht. Auf meine Kritik hin, hieß es zwar "Ich frage mal in der Küche nach", doch eine Antwort gab es nicht mehr. Auch die Bouillabaisse können wir nun wirklich nicht weiter empfehlen. laut Karte mit Wurzelgemüse angekündigt schwammen in der Suppe ein Paar Kartoffelscheiben - kann man großzügig noch als Wurzelgemüse durchgehen lassen - und dazu einige Stücke an grünen Bohnen sowie jede menge grüne Erbsen. Das wars. Bohnen und Erbsen sind kein Wurzelgemüse - oder hab ich da in Biologie (Pflanzenkunde) nicht richtig aufgepasst. Was wohl Restaurantinhaber und Sternekoch Eric Werner dazu sagt?

All the guests were thrilled and we felt welcome and lovingly cared for at all times, enjoying every minute to the fullest. Ich war das zweite Mal im Augustin. Es war wie beim ersten Besuch, letztes Jahr mit meinem Partner, gestern Praxis Jubiläum mit meinem Chef und Kolleginnen. Es hat sich Gottseidank nichts verändert. Das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist super. Wir hatten das Glück bei angenehmen Temperaturen im märchenhaften Innenhof zu sitzen und speisen. Weiter so und ganz viel Erfolg. UPGB

Top Service, super Weinkarte, das Essen war zwar gut und wurde kreativ zubereitet, hatte dennoch nicht unsere Erwartungen treffen können. Ich empfehle bei Steak eine Garstufe roher als gewünscht zu bestellen, da die Teller sehr heiß aus der Küche kommen, was wir übrigens vorher gefragt hatten und verneint wurde.

Ich bin ein grosser Fan des Augustin noch mehr im Sommer... das ist eine Zusamnenfassung meiner 5+ Besuche seit der Eröffnung. Das Augustin ist die richtige Mischung aus inspirierter, gekonnter Küche und lockerem professionellen Service. Die Küche beherrscht ihr Handwerk ebenso der Service. Besonders der Service hat seit der Zuwanderung aus dem ASTREIN noch mehr Stabilität und Professionalität erfahren und auch die Weinauswahl passt für alle Eventualitäten. Mir gefallen vor allem die Terrinen und Pasteten in der Küche für mich ist da immer einiges dabei was den Besuch lohnt. Die Kritik an den hohen Räumen und der Geräuschkulisse verstehe ich ... kommt im Sommer und jetzt Euch in den Garten des Restaurants... dann steht einem schönen Abend nichts entgegen.

We had a delicious vegetarian meal (fortunately, the choice is limited, like everywhere in Germany), drank good wines and ate a beautiful cheese board. Service is very friendly, but could be a bit more professional (don't shout from behind the bar whether you want to pay by card or cash). The location is very beautiful and atmospheric. We had an anniversary to celebrate and they had put some hearts on the table for this. Still very thoughtful!

There were 7 of us and I wanted to celebrate my birthday in style. The ambience was wonderful, but unfortunately nothing else. The service was terribly inattentive, we had to ask to be served a few times. The menu was completely slimmed down, we were greeted with the words that one dish was out and we only had two of the vegetarian ones. Drinks were forgotten. When the starter was served, the greetings from the kitchen plates had not yet been cleared away, which we then had to do. A soup ended up on the floor and and and. It is well known that it is difficult to find staff in the catering industry and I think that the evening was a great example of this. But my understanding is very limited because I left a lot of money there.

The ambience is very attractive. The dark design with the many different chandeliers is an absolute highlight. We immediately felt comfortable. First up was the excellent country bread with salted butter and leek oil. The leek oil was super tasty. An absolute must. The starter consisting of a piece of salmon cake and a salad with US roast beef were very tasty. The two main courses of lamb rump with wild garlic polenta and glazed vegetables were super tasty. Everything came together really well. The second main course was the catch of the day. The monkfish lay on a bed of puree with pepper vegetables. Also very successful and tasty. The meal was accompanied by an open white and red wine. Also highly recommended. The dessert consisting of various variations such as Creme Brüllet, sorrel ice cream and pickled rhubarb formed a perfect conclusion. Simply great quality and everything is very tasty! We would like to particularly mention the service. The lady of the house guided us through the evening with a lot of charm and a good portion of attention. It was a very nice and delicious evening. Many thanks to the entire team. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, the food and service were just below average and therefore far too expensive. The food was carelessly prepared and the main course (roast beef) was very dry. The only bright spots are the extremely courteous and hard-working restaurant manager and the location including the inner courtyard.
