We were there twice. I think the ambience and style are great! Service is also very attentive. However, what bothered me a bit was the portions, when it comes to the steak, 2 small potatoes and a few vegetables, more suitable for decorative purposes. At a price of 40 euros, very poor. It's not just supposed to look great, it's supposed to fill you up.
A real insider tip – Restaurant Grafen Grün!
This restaurant impressed us all!
There are plenty of parking spaces right upon arrival, so your visit starts off stress-free. The beautiful outdoor terrace overlooking the racecourse and golf course invites you to linger – a dreamy backdrop to enjoy.
The food was not only a visual highlight, but also absolutely delicious. We were particularly impressed by the homemade cakes – a real treat!
The service was excellent, attentive, and truly met all our expectations.
A big plus: You don't have to be rich or a golf club member to eat here. Everyone is welcome and can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Whether for a cozy coffee and cake or an extensive meal – Grafen Grün is a clear recommendation.
We will definitely be back!
Lyonnais cuisine with a Rhenish and international touch
Excellent products from our own brigade. Whenever we are in Düsseldorf we end up here out of conviction
I've been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Four of us (aged between 60 and 93) were there for lunch at the "Volmerswerther Krug" for my 88th birthday, having made a table reservation in advance by phone. Unfortunately, our table wasn't set up in any special way for this special occasion. Throughout the entire visit, there was no personal birthday congratulations or small tokens (such as a greeting from the house), which would have been truly friendly and thoughtful.
The four dishes we ordered (two from the daily specials and two from the regular menu) didn't arrive at the same time. My meal arrived first, while the remaining three (including the birthday boy/girl) arrived without an apology, at least 15 minutes later. Absolutely unacceptable.
My dish, "Tagliatelle with Pesto," was extremely bland, only lukewarm, with a strange combination of vegetables (green beans, cauliflower, carrots, mushy cherry tomatoes), and far too fatty for me, which I naturally reported to the server.
The "Grillplatte," for example, the meat selection, was not as usual (fewer meats, dry, sausages barely browned), the Djuvec rice was mush, no longer really recognizable as rice.
The "Turkey Strips with Rösti" was okay. The "Redfish Fillet with Spinach" was also okay.
The service was friendly, but could be improved.
Another negative point in my opinion: The music in the "background" was/is, unfortunately, often far too loud to allow for a quiet conversation. I even approached them personally, but it only worked after the second visit.
Conclusion: We were looking forward to a very special, delicious lunch.
Unfortunately, WE were very disappointed overall.
The food and service are absolutely first-class. The food arrived quickly, fresh, and delicious.
Consistent quality, even the third time, and the staff are great.
The ambiance is very simple, but you're here for the food, not an art opening. 😉
If you’re in Düsseldorf and craving something like KFC—but better, tastier, and healthier—Hitchcoq Chicken is a must-visit. This small, cozy restaurant offers a warm, homey vibe with a lovely backyard where you can chill and relax, especially on a nice day.
The chicken here is absolutely delicious. You can choose your wings hot or not, depending on your mood, and the flavors are spot-on. Their coleslaw salad is fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet or drowned in dressing like you often find elsewhere.
It’s a fantastic alternative to fast food, and it feels safer, cleaner, and more thoughtful in both preparation and presentation. Whether you’re looking for a snack or a satisfying meal, Hitchcoq Chicken hits the spot. Highly recommended!
If you love pizza and pasta, this is the place for you!
Every dish impresses with first-class ingredients that are freshly prepared and served with a lot of love.
The pizza is wonderfully crispy with a perfectly coordinated topping, and the pasta delights with homemade sauces that are full of flavor.
My family has already tried it out diligently :)
The homemade tiramisu is also highly recommended!
The quality speaks for itself:
Fresh products, excellent preparation and excellent value for money make the visit a real pleasure.
Here we don't just cook, we bring passion to the plate.
Whether for a relaxed evening or a cozy meal with friends and family, this business can be recommended without reservation.
Anyone who has eaten here once is guaranteed to come back!
