We were at Grafengrün again today. We had a few drinks first and then ordered something to eat. Chanterelle soup (soup) for €7.50, a joke, sorry. Spinach dumplings with chanterelles tasted more like awful. Apple pie with whipped cream that had already collapsed before the pie even arrived on the table. Sorry, but we'll be going somewhere else for dinner from now on. It's a shame, really. But the beer was good, Tegernseer. The service was quick and friendly.

An absolutely top-notch location with an upscale clientele. Magnificent view/perspective of the racetrack. Seats inside and outside. Absolutely professional service, even English-speaking without any problems. A wide selection of food and drinks. Not haute cuisine, but tasty and without any "frills." Food is freshly prepared. A daily special with an attractive price-performance ratio. Whether lunch, afternoon coffee, or dinner: always a good selection. Very attractive rooms for celebrations with family or larger groups with sophisticated table decorations. Finally, a note for anyone arriving by car: it is NOT true that the numerous free parking spaces are reserved exclusively for PORSCHE vehicles with 300 hp or more. Drivers of other makes can also park there. Conclusion: Highly recommended. Typical Düsseldorf.

It's a beautiful restaurant with nice ambience and good food.

What's wrong with the restaurant industry? Small portion, a mere (!) slice of sea bass for €27. Giant dumplings with spinach and chanterelles were bone dry, also due to their size, a kind of bread dumpling for €18 (and without cheese). I put some ketchup on it, but it didn't do much good. Had 3 different servers - a lady couldn't answer a question about the dish (is the patty on the burger still pre-pressed like last year?) - the answer was that she's a vegetarian - then just ask the kitchen?? Worked by the book, cleared the table, didn't ask how it tasted, does that matter now? Tip: Zero. "I'll pass it on to the kitchen" could almost be a slogan for a shirt. Conclusion: Never again. Try your dishes critically yourself. It's no wonder fewer and fewer people are going out to eat, given the poor quality of the food and the service. But the view of the racetrack is really great.

The terrace is a wonderful place for breakfast when the weather is good, as it was during our visit. Friendly staff, beautiful view, relaxed atmosphere. The "Grafengrün breakfast" for a good 15 euros (without coffee/juice) was okay; the scrambled eggs were generous. On the other hand, there was only a single tiny piece of butter for three rolls... Unfortunately, the whole-wheat roll was also rock-hard and almost impossible to cut. 😔 So, the small piece of butter was just enough for the other two... Perhaps this small detail can be changed?

We were here because we were invited to a wedding reception. The food was very good and the servers were very attentive. I would recommend this place if you're planning a celebration.

Famous for its grated cookies with applesauce or salmon on Friday lunches. Small but perfectly formed. A dessert makes for a perfect lunch. In good weather, the atmosphere is perfect with its expansive views over the racetrack and golf course. And all within the city limits. It's a perfect place to linger.

We were there on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside. There's a great view of the racetrack and golf course, as well as into the distance. The food and drinks were okay. The waiters were nice, but some could have been a bit more attentive, so you don't have to ask to order.

A wonderful location for combining a long walk—or even shorter ones—with a coffee, lunch, or dinner. Especially on the terrace, with its fantastic view of the racetrack. Right next door are the grandstands, exuding a vintage feel. The service is unobtrusive but very friendly and quick. We had a salad with goat cheese and balsamic dressing and currywurst. A perfect Sunday afternoon.

Hello, dear gourmets. Today I would like to briefly report what a beautiful day I had in this restaurant on March 1st, 2025. It was my 80th birthday. I had invited my guests to a long breakfast. When I arrived there with my husband in the morning, I was very pleasantly surprised at the beautifully set tables. With flowers and a touch of carnival, since it was carnival Saturday. Everything was just right. At the reception there was sparkling wine, a very tasty house drink (count red) and juices. When all the guests had arrived, breakfast was served. There were different types of sausage, ham, cheese, salmon, scrambled eggs, etc. and a selection of rolls, bread, croissants, jam. There was really nothing missing. Added to this was the very helpful staff, always friendly and polite. Our waiter was particularly attentive that day, always immediately saw where something was missing and might have to be added. Also worth mentioning is the very beautiful room, the whole restaurant has a special ambience. There are also enough parking spaces on site. You can also easily find delicious things for small and large appetites there, so there is something for every budget. In the summer there is a great outdoor terrace. Well, I wouldn't recommend any location so quickly, but this gem I would happily recommend "grafengrün" rennbahnstr.24 in Düsseldorf to people who love good food, a nice ambience and friendly service. We rented the "large hall" with 30 people as a wedding location. There was also enough space for a dance floor. The existing technology is top and you can use it perfectly for your own music. The tables were set simply and elegantly. Seating arrangements were discussed in advance and implemented perfectly - all you need is your own name tags. A 5-course menu was discussed in advance - the selection is great and nothing is missing (meat, fish, vegan and vegetarian dishes available). Also a great selection of drinks (beer, wine, sparkling wine, champagne, coffee and the like are all there). The food was very tasty. You can also choose cakes or bring your own. The service during the event, especially from Daniel and a colleague whose name I unfortunately no longer remember, as well as the service with Mr. Mächler was top notch! The ambience in autumn is perfect! The charm of the racetrack, the golf course and the Kastanienallee is wonderful and I can recommend the Grafengrün to everyone! Very great team! Keep it up!

It can also be fresher and more upbeat. Alsatian tarte flambée was okay. Otherwise very nice view of the racetrack and golf course. Very good disabled toilet.

We celebrated our wedding here in September with 60 people and it couldn't have been better. At our request there was a purely vegan buffet and we received a lot of compliments on the food. All allergies and intolerances have been taken into account. The selection was great and with a sample meal offered we knew exactly what to expect. The service was totally friendly, accommodating and good. All discussions and planning in advance were uncomplicated and unproblematic. The Grafengrün was super flexible and responded to our wishes. The billing was also completely transparent and fair. The agreements were strictly adhered to. Volume was not a problem, so the booked band was able to play until the end. You could sit outside even late and enjoy the beautiful ambience. We would get married here again in a heartbeat!

The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always friendly. We were disappointed with the food as we have had much better experiences there before. Starting with the children's pasta with tomato sauce, where you can hardly go wrong, we were really disappointed. These were warmed canned chopped tomatoes. Even cheese and salt didn't help. The children hardly touched her. I would describe the amount of meat in the venison goulash as very manageable. The risotto was more like rice with meat and a few pieces of vegetables in it. As I said, it was much better!!!

The waiter was nice, the atmosphere was nice too, except for one two really dirty glasses. However, we were very disappointed with the food, I've never had such bland pasta with chanterelles and it was exactly the same with friends and relatives we were there with, so it wasn't a single Monday plate. It's a shame, but it could definitely be better.

Attentive service staff and a beautiful location but unfortunately the food is subpar. The children's pasta with tomato sauce was overcooked and undercooked at the same time and tasted like canned passata. All dishes were basically unseasoned and carelessly warmed up.

We visited the restaurant for the first time last night and were shown to a table on the terrace. The first impression of the racetrack and the forest were of course beautiful. At first we were struck by the fact that all the umbrellas were closed, which of course spoiled the sense of coziness. The tables (clearly outdoor) have not been glazed or anything like that has dirt and grime in the grooves for at least 2 years. The first thing that came to the table were the drinks Sarti lemon spritz and Aperol spritz in an unpolished glass and I couldn't really notice the spritz, just sweet and not good. (a little more effort for a €7.50 drink would be nice) Food veal schnitzel was dry and bland fries were okay (crunchy). The lamb's lettuce on my grandma's plate was sandy and mushy - this combination is also rare and you have to be able to put it on the plate like that without seeing it. Chanterelles were also dry and not tasty. Roast beef with fried potatoes was good and so was the goat cheese. The waiter was friendly but kept strolling over to the guest with a beer in his hand and placing it on the table from above (on the edge), a tray is even a standard in middle service. The young service employees were nice and courteous. There are still a few little things that stand out, such as unpolished cutlery, but we don't want to exaggerate. It's just that if you book with the Rennbahn Golf Club "Grafengrün" and then make a reservation a week in advance, such mistakes don't have to and shouldn't happen. Unfortunately, we do not recommend the restaurant and will not visit it again.

Full of confidence, we visited the restaurant in a beautiful location, a terrace in a cultivated atmosphere. The relaxed, friendly service staff made the first impression complete. The menu sounds good and promises freshly prepared products. We chose the veal schnitzel with fried potatoes from the current chanterelle menu. The chanterelles were lukewarm, dry and tasteless. The fried potatoes are soft and browned with paprika powder. The schnitzel was also bland. When the waiter asked, we pointed this out. He said he would report it to the kitchen and he would be sorry... We ate some of it and declined the concession of an espresso. It's a shame - this first visit didn't score. Maybe. We will try it again later to see if the quality of the food has improved. The environment was right.

Summer festival in Grafengrün! We were there for the first time with around 100 people for our annual summer party. Reception of guests with Crémant rosé or another delicacy in the ambience of the racetrack - a dream. The room was magically decorated with white covers and fabric tablecloths and napkins, candlesticks and festive lighting - very inviting and elegant! It was grilled: butter-tender slices of beef, crunchy grilled sausages, juicy chicken, super fresh salads, dips, grilled vegetables, various side dishes... and, and, and. Very nicely located, right next to the horse racing track and the golf course. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast there twice and everyone (6 people) was completely satisfied. And the prices are absolutely moderate. I/we can definitely recommend it with a clear conscience.

Ambience only nice on the terrace

The rather cold male waitress only served lukewarm food. The tables on the outside terrace were not clean and the large parasols remained closed despite intense sun and later a few drops of rain.
