I was looking for a Spanish restaurant when I discovered this one – a really nice restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf. The interior is great, and they have a wide selection of dishes. But: I ordered fajitas, and in my opinion, the food was rather average for the price. There were four of us there, and including regular drinks like beer, we ended up paying around €200 – I honestly think that's a bit too much for what we got. Nevertheless, I can recommend the restaurant for a visit – you should try it at least once.

We received a very friendly welcome and felt at home from the very first moment. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, and designed with great attention to detail – you can tell how much heart and soul goes into making this place. The tapas were delicious: fresh, creative, and full of authentic Spanish flavors. We were particularly impressed by the attentive and friendly service.

A very cozy atmosphere. You should definitely use the restroom, as these rooms are very interestingly designed. It's worth it. The food is delicious. I've been there three times already and have been impressed every time.

One of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf, located in a very popular and touristy area, yet the service remains excellent. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, making it a perfect spot for both casual and special occasions. I highly recommend trying the hot stone grilled fillets or the entrecôte — they are absolutely amazing, they will provide a hot stone so you will cooked on ur own, and add the flavor. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the city.

A fantastic little place, so glad we found this on our last day. The decor inside is fantastic and i know this sounds strange but go and check out the toilets! Food was great and the service was brilliant. I will be coming back.

We ordered paella today. We got a generous pile of rice with four prawns and four mussels (no joke), and nothing else—no chicken, no octopus, nothing! The complaint was not accepted or acknowledged at all. Quite the opposite: they claimed it was all on the paella. Even a photo of the meal couldn't convince the owner, manager, and the elderly waitress that the price of €29 was completely excessive for rice with two prawns and two mussels per person.

I was in Düsseldorf with my colleagues this weekend. On Saturday, we spontaneously visited this restaurant. The food was okay, but we were accidentally given a second gin and tonic, even though we had only ordered one. Instead, we had ordered a Sprite. The Sprite was, of course, added to the bill, but unfortunately, the second gin and tonic remained! You also have to pay for a bowl of olives that you didn't order and thought were part of your burger :(

Simply WOW! The food was incredibly delicious – every dish was perfectly balanced and prepared with so much love. I was also absolutely captivated by the ambiance: so stylish, cozy, and designed with incredible attention to detail. For me, it's the most beautiful restaurant I've ever visited. Super nice bar with live music on weekends. We had delicious cocktails and tapas. Unfortunately, the shrimp were very dry, but otherwise everything was great.

Very tasty enchiladas (seem to be homemade) and also extremely delicious tiramisu. Highly recommended. And the server is very friendly. The interior is absolutely worth seeing. Be sure to use the restroom there!

Their prices would not be high, but for this quality, it is so high. Unfortunately our meals were tasteless, there was no salt on the meats, at all. Looks cool that they serve the fajitas on hot iron plates, but when you taste it, it will disappoint you. The meat was very gristly. The only good part of my meal was the orange souce, it is really tasty!

Where do I begin...the restaurant itself is beautifully designed! And the service is friendly, fast, and attentive. But the food really wasn't that good. We had tapas...and if you're used to tapas, you won't be happy here. The quality really leaves a lot to be desired, and the price is also unreasonable. We wouldn't go here again.

This is a small restaurant in Düsseldorf's old town, very cozy and clean. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and in cool weather, they turn on the heating outside for a cozy meal. The service was very warm and attentive. The food was excellent and freshly prepared. I can only recommend it.

Very friendly staff. Nice entourage. Food was tasty and not just put on the plate. Attention was paid to it. Entertainment in the evening. Wc worth visiting. A colorful experience.

The service was absolutely atrocious it was the most rude and disgusting thing I have ever witnessed . The server we had was really impatient with us and really rude we asked to pay and he waved us off and said later because we are paying separately then proceeded to ignore us for a full 20 minutes. When we finally were going to pay the same sever did not even know what our full amount would be if he split it into two to the point we had to calculate it on the calculator app then he said he can’t give us our change because he did not have any when I asked about his colleagues he went and asked only one of them if they have change then said we have to pay with the amount we had or with card which we obvisously couldn’t. In conclusion I would never go back simply because the server was so rude and indirectly forced us to give a tip which he did not deserve nor is it a normal standard in Germany to give tips of such a high amount.

Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Spanish cuisine. Great atmosphere, delicious food, had fahitas, and friendly, attentive service.

Cuban atmosphere with excellent live music and delicious cocktails

Yesterday we spontaneously visited the Palito in Düsseldorf. Service: The waiter was very attentive. Eat: However, the food is an absolute disaster. ~€17 for 5 or 6 extremely small prawns, which are swimming in fat accompanied by two cheerlessly cut pieces of garlic, is a disgrace. Not to mention that the "gambas" were tough and not fresh either. The same applies to the “fried anchovies (homemade)”. You can tell that the fish wasn't fresh before it was fried. If you order "homemade bread and aioli", you will receive a large, thin flatbread with over-salted aioli. We have been to Spain many times and fresh bread with aioli is always a great entree - unfortunately not yesterday. Almost everything comes from the deep fryer. That has nothing to do with being a good Spaniard. Summary: Unfortunately not a great experience, unfortunately not recommended at all - we went to bed yesterday with a stomach ache.

We were at Palito last weekend with four people. A really nice, small restaurant with a Latin American flair – great ambience, delicious food and really cool live music. You immediately feel comfortable. However, I deducted one star because the music was unfortunately so loud that you could hardly hold a conversation. That was really a shame. Otherwise absolutely recommended!

Delicious food, cozy environment

The food at Palito was very good – really tasty, creative and perfectly seasoned! There was really nothing to complain about when it came to the food. Every course was a highlight. The service was a bit slow, but the restaurant was completely full, which makes the waiting time understandable. The volume in the room was less nice - it was really quite loud, which disrupted the relaxed evening a bit. Unfortunately, the Crema Catalana couldn't quite keep up either, so we expected a little more. Nevertheless: great food, friendly team and an overall very successful experience. If you're looking for good cuisine in a lively atmosphere, you've come to the right place!

We were there twice. I think the ambience and style are great! Service is also very attentive. However, what bothered me a bit was the portions, when it comes to the steak, 2 small potatoes and a few vegetables, more suitable for decorative purposes. At a price of 40 euros, very poor. It's not just supposed to look great, it's supposed to fill you up.

It didn't taste good at all. It's nicely decorated and the service is very friendly, but for the price it's nothing.

Evening program with delicious food. Price performance great. There was a dancer and live music. Unfortunately, due to the organization, the waiter forgot our food, but at this point you have to say people make mistakes and the insight was great and it was made up for with free drinks.. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars because of the mistake.. but the food was great, the atmosphere was great and the insight and customer friendliness was there. The evening was something special and can therefore only be recommended. Despite the delay, we were very satisfied with the food

Did not receive my food at all, terrible service and the only option I was offered was to cancel my order by Helder the waiter. We had a table of 20 people and they didn’t offer to even provided anything back to us.

A very delicious restaurant, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely unrealistic. The prices on the menus vary, and the portion sizes are far too small for the price. The waiters are attentive, but not all speak German or English, which occasionally led to problems or misunderstandings.

I would prefer not to give a star. The food was an absolute disaster on a Saturday evening. Sometimes cold, sometimes the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. The highlight was a chicken fillet, which initially tasted quite good. When I reached a thicker piece, the salmonella jumped out at me... the meat was simply raw in the middle! When I pointed this out to the waiter, he just smiled tiredly and pointed out that the kitchen was overwhelmed. Sorry, but on a Saturday evening at prime time, in a restaurant in the old town, the kitchen should be used to this. There was no apology and no other damage control was done. Once and never again!

Was there for a meeting. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is rustic. The food was very tasty without being absolutely outstanding. Since I'm a country bumpkin, I found the price to be a bit high, especially the drinks were sometimes very expensive. That is also the reason for the point deduction. Overall, it's often a problem that the drinks have become expensive, but you don't have to think it's a good thing. Afterwards there was live music, followed by a samba dancer. There is also meat served on a hot stone, which is supposed to be delicious, but the smell is a bit annoying when it is made at the next table. Conclusion. You can go there, it's nice. Neither more nor less.

Very nice restaurant with poor price/performance ratio! PRO: The place is really beautiful and decorated with great attention to detail, very authentic and in Latin-Cuban style. The staff are quick, very friendly and always attentive to the guests. CONS: Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right at all! I had the “Gamba fajita” with exactly 6 small shrimps, even though the wraps fit 4 instead of just 2. The whole thing for a whopping €28, which is in no way justified for me! Even a bottle of still water for almost €10 is definitely overpriced. CONCLUSION: Unfortunately the restaurant and the employees can't get rid of the excessive prices, we won't be coming back.

First the positive: The rooms are very nice and well designed. There are numerous seating options. Basically, I am of the opinion that Latin American cuisine does not offer the high culture of Quisine, but you could have made guacamole or the other dips yourself in the kitchen and therefore avoided using ready-made products. The fried anchovies (Boquerones fritos) tasted so good, they were fried hours ago and then heated up again just before serving. Either way, the price-performance ratio is not justified by the rather high prices.

The Facitas are recommended and with the live music it was a very nice evening.

Where should I start? Food was very, very tasty in perfect portions. Beautifully prepared and delivered quickly. Really big praise goes to our waiter, Max! Super fast, incredibly friendly and unobtrusive advice. Much more than "just a waiter". Tip top! Ambiance was really nice, just a bit noisy.

I know you shouldn't write any more good reviews about Palito, but it's one of the best in the city, at least if you're there with a group. Check out the video, pure entertainment.

I'm petrified. Basically very tasty food in good portions, there's nothing to complain about in terms of service either. However, the inclined penny-pincher will be disappointed here. My wife Elke enjoys eating her food and when she took the last bite, she actually had a stone in her mouth. A stone!!!!! (See photo) Stones usually only sit on my Rolex, but not on my plate. The food and decor (tip: go to the toilet) are great! The two-person tables, on the other hand, are far too close to each other; if there was 10 centimeters of space between the tables, that would be a lot. We also sat at a two-person table. I got a bit of a cramped feeling about it.

Food came too late, because my wife is pregnant we ordered a burrito without spicy, it arrived with sheep, the food was too salty, unfortunately I paid 85 for 2 people, it wasn't worth it at all, unfortunately I can't recommend it.

One of my favorite restaurants in terms of quality of food, ambience and service. Unfortunately, prices have exploded in the last 2-3 years. Tapas were once available for a price of ~5 euros per portion, which is now only enough for olives; potatoes in tapas format now cost a whopping 10 euros. Fajita Carne for 25 euros only comes with 3 tortillas and a smaller portion of meat than usual. It's a shame that the prices here are so exaggerated, as visits will become less frequent.

Unfortunately no, we waited forever for the food. One of us only got our food after everyone else had finished, about 30 minutes later. Drinks were cleared away and no new ones were asked for. Unfriendly condition.

Unfortunately, cigars were smoked in the closed outdoor area, which made the lukewarm food inedible. Far too busy, the staff was unfriendly and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people.

Cool service, just brought us a few tapas. These were all super fine. The dishes we ordered were also great. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

We went there on Saturday night. We tried to call before in order to make a reservation, but they said that they weren’t taking any reservations in advance. They said we need to come and wait , and that exactly what happened. At the end we got a place outside( it wasn’t cold since they had an outdoor heating system) . The food is tasty and affordable.
