We were there twice. I think the ambience and style are great! Service is also very attentive. However, what bothered me a bit was the portions, when it comes to the steak, 2 small potatoes and a few vegetables, more suitable for decorative purposes. At a price of 40 euros, very poor. It's not just supposed to look great, it's supposed to fill you up.

It didn't taste good at all. It's nicely decorated and the service is very friendly, but for the price it's nothing.

I ate there with my friends and everyone really enjoyed it! I recommend it!

A lovely restaurant and very nice food. Service was good. One waiter just thought he could remember everything you ordered but clearly not as drinks were forgotten as well as food. The was was good and of reasonable portions. It was also reasonably priced. Drinks were not cheap.

Evening program with delicious food. Price performance great. There was a dancer and live music. Unfortunately, due to the organization, the waiter forgot our food, but at this point you have to say people make mistakes and the insight was great and it was made up for with free drinks.. Normally I wouldn't give 5 stars because of the mistake.. but the food was great, the atmosphere was great and the insight and customer friendliness was there. The evening was something special and can therefore only be recommended. Despite the delay, we were very satisfied with the food

Did not receive my food at all, terrible service and the only option I was offered was to cancel my order by Helder the waiter. We had a table of 20 people and they didn’t offer to even provided anything back to us.

A very delicious restaurant, but the price-performance ratio is absolutely unrealistic. The prices on the menus vary, and the portion sizes are far too small for the price. The waiters are attentive, but not all speak German or English, which occasionally led to problems or misunderstandings.

I would prefer not to give a star. The food was an absolute disaster on a Saturday evening. Sometimes cold, sometimes the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. The highlight was a chicken fillet, which initially tasted quite good. When I reached a thicker piece, the salmonella jumped out at me... the meat was simply raw in the middle! When I pointed this out to the waiter, he just smiled tiredly and pointed out that the kitchen was overwhelmed. Sorry, but on a Saturday evening at prime time, in a restaurant in the old town, the kitchen should be used to this. There was no apology and no other damage control was done. Once and never again!

Was there for a meeting. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is rustic. The food was very tasty without being absolutely outstanding. Since I'm a country bumpkin, I found the price to be a bit high, especially the drinks were sometimes very expensive. That is also the reason for the point deduction. Overall, it's often a problem that the drinks have become expensive, but you don't have to think it's a good thing. Afterwards there was live music, followed by a samba dancer. There is also meat served on a hot stone, which is supposed to be delicious, but the smell is a bit annoying when it is made at the next table. Conclusion. You can go there, it's nice. Neither more nor less.

Very nice restaurant with poor price/performance ratio! PRO: The place is really beautiful and decorated with great attention to detail, very authentic and in Latin-Cuban style. The staff are quick, very friendly and always attentive to the guests. CONS: Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right at all! I had the “Gamba fajita” with exactly 6 small shrimps, even though the wraps fit 4 instead of just 2. The whole thing for a whopping €28, which is in no way justified for me! Even a bottle of still water for almost €10 is definitely overpriced. CONCLUSION: Unfortunately the restaurant and the employees can't get rid of the excessive prices, we won't be coming back.

First the positive: The rooms are very nice and well designed. There are numerous seating options. Basically, I am of the opinion that Latin American cuisine does not offer the high culture of Quisine, but you could have made guacamole or the other dips yourself in the kitchen and therefore avoided using ready-made products. The fried anchovies (Boquerones fritos) tasted so good, they were fried hours ago and then heated up again just before serving. Either way, the price-performance ratio is not justified by the rather high prices.

The Facitas are recommended and with the live music it was a very nice evening.

Where should I start? Food was very, very tasty in perfect portions. Beautifully prepared and delivered quickly. Really big praise goes to our waiter, Max! Super fast, incredibly friendly and unobtrusive advice. Much more than "just a waiter". Tip top! Ambiance was really nice, just a bit noisy.

The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, funny and responded to individual requests. I just found the homemade house spritzer a bit overpriced. But I would love to come back.

The food is good but not great, fajita was mainly vegetables with small portion of chicken. The service was good in general but one waitress wasn’t very nice.

I know you shouldn't write any more good reviews about Palito, but it's one of the best in the city, at least if you're there with a group. Check out the video, pure entertainment.

The food and decor (tip: go to the toilet) are great! The two-person tables, on the other hand, are far too close to each other; if there was 10 centimeters of space between the tables, that would be a lot. We also sat at a two-person table. I got a bit of a cramped feeling about it.

I'm petrified. Basically very tasty food in good portions, there's nothing to complain about in terms of service either. However, the inclined penny-pincher will be disappointed here. My wife Elke enjoys eating her food and when she took the last bite, she actually had a stone in her mouth. A stone!!!!! (See photo) Stones usually only sit on my Rolex, but not on my plate. Food came too late, because my wife is pregnant we ordered a burrito without spicy, it arrived with sheep, the food was too salty, unfortunately I paid 85 for 2 people, it wasn't worth it at all, unfortunately I can't recommend it.

One of my favorite restaurants in terms of quality of food, ambience and service. Unfortunately, prices have exploded in the last 2-3 years. Tapas were once available for a price of ~5 euros per portion, which is now only enough for olives; potatoes in tapas format now cost a whopping 10 euros. Fajita Carne for 25 euros only comes with 3 tortillas and a smaller portion of meat than usual. It's a shame that the prices here are so exaggerated, as visits will become less frequent.

Unfortunately no, we waited forever for the food. One of us only got our food after everyone else had finished, about 30 minutes later. Drinks were cleared away and no new ones were asked for. Unfriendly condition.

Nice restaurant with good food and great ambience.

Unfortunately, cigars were smoked in the closed outdoor area, which made the lukewarm food inedible. Far too busy, the staff was unfriendly and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people.

Cool service, just brought us a few tapas. These were all super fine. The dishes we ordered were also great. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

We went there on Saturday night. We tried to call before in order to make a reservation, but they said that they weren’t taking any reservations in advance. They said we need to come and wait , and that exactly what happened. At the end we got a place outside( it wasn’t cold since they had an outdoor heating system) . The food is tasty and affordable.

Tapas and Pulpo were great, I would add some vegetables or salad to the pulpo;)

There is authentic Latin American food here, I especially recommend the fajitas or enchiladas! The cooking here is done with a lot of passion and the interior is second to none, everything is lovingly decorated.

The ambience cannot compensate for the poor impression of the service... I had specially reserved a table and we were still seated in the entrance area. They didn't even know anything about my reservation. And we had to wait about 30 minutes until we were served. The food is extremely expensive, even if it is in the old town of Düsseldorf, but in my opinion that still doesn't justify the price.

Celebrated New Year's Eve here for the second time! Great atmosphere, very friendly service, great music and fun interaction with the samba dancers. Crazy fireworks on your doorstep at midnight 🤩. Southern, temperamental👌. Food was good, as you would expect on New Year's Eve (not excellent, but just good). The formula may be slightly cheaper, but you also pay for the atmosphere and surroundings. We had fun Palito people🍾🍸

Super cozy Latin restaurant, great food with variety and very exquisite meat and everything in general. The service was very fast and friendly to us because at no time did both María, Beatriz and Roni lose their smile as we went for several days and they attended to us with professionalism. Of course we will return to taste their exquisite dishes and enjoy their good atmosphere with good Latin music and the dancers who encourage the diners to dance.

Nice atmosphere, good music and entertainment. What wasn't so good was the food and smuggling of drinks. Tekila once full, once half, non-alcoholic mochito had too much sugar, pure sugar. Instead of dry wine from the menu, something else was brought, but fortunately it was replaced. Next time I will of course order other drinks and food. Thanks

Very friendly staff, quality meals, I recommend!!

We were really looking forward to the visit in advance. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. It starts when you enter the restaurant through an awning. Several people were standing there smoking, which meant you had to walk through a huge cloud of smoke and everything smelled like an ashtray. Of course, this smell also got inside over time (we were sitting relatively close to the entrance). The service itself was generally friendly, but we were forgotten at times and were no longer asked if anything was missing or if we would like something more to drink. The food itself was okay but nothing special. However, the price-performance ratio is not right.

Very friendly and committed service, even if she seemed to be more occupied with internal company matters. The food was good, the portions were a bit too generous and the beef in my burrito was unfortunately a bit too tough; Otherwise it was really good. Oh yes, the decoration is not that subtle and certainly not a thing; But if you've ever been to Mexico at Christmas time, you won't be surprised.

On Friday there was an amazing live band! We had a nice dinner, a steak was €39,- , cappuccino 4,50, red wine 9.50. The prices where typically that what u expect in one of Germany's capitals. The restaurant looked amazing with friendly staff!

Saturday evening at Christmas time... We had to wait outside for a while and it was totally worth it. The restaurant was packed and if you want to eat in peace and quiet, you're in the wrong place here... But that's meant in a positive way... There is an atmosphere in the restaurant… absolutely crazy…. The waiters are almost constantly on the move. It's a special atmosphere that I've never experienced in a restaurant before. And as a special treat there was a dance performance by a dancer with Latin American flair. So if you want to allow something special and don't value a quiet atmosphere, this is absolutely the right place.

Went to Palito for the first time and were very surprised, in a positive way. The service was courteous and had a good view of all the tables. Reasonably priced. Taste fantastic. In my opinion, the portions and the presentation justify the price (as well as the good service) - we'll be happy to come back.

Overall nice, the starters were very tasty, the main course was too greasy/oily and poorly seasoned for me. The atmosphere was cozy but unfortunately the acoustics were bad when the restaurant was full. The show was good. Because it was so busy, the service couldn't keep up. I would have liked to order more drinks, but unfortunately that didn't work.

We've given the restaurant several times to convince us, but each time it's been a disaster. Food is really delicious! but the service and the long wait for food ruins the whole evening!!! We won't be coming back again. Disorganized, hectic staff. In addition, something urgently needs to be done with the ventilation. When the guests order the steak on the hot stone, you can't breathe and you smell like you've been standing in the kitchen all day. Too bad.

I actually really enjoy eating here. However, on the 1st of Advent there was apparently a new waiter there. With a Swiss or Bavarian accent. We were eating with our grandmother and he said as my grandmother paid for the meal at the end: “Well, the grandson is badly behaved” because as a man you didn’t pay the bill. Very pretentious and unpleasant. It's enough that I bought my grandmother a new Mercedes and she invited us to dinner as a thank you. Unfortunately, because of this waiter, we will not be visiting the restaurant again in the future.

Great location, first-class service and delicious food

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf's old town. The ambience makes you feel like you are in Latin America. We ordered various tapas as a starter. Everything was really perfectly prepared and stylishly presented. For the main course, the restaurant really offers something for everyone and the staff will also be happy to help you with any intolerances or allergies. The food was all very tasty and we were more than full. At the end we had various desserts which we all liked. We are happy to recommend the restaurant and can only recommend paying it a visit.

The ambience is nice but the food was cold. I had a hamburger with fries. The meat was very dry. The meat was burned on one side. The fries were horrible. The waiter was nice. But the food was very overpriced for this quality.

Food is fresh, flavored and beautifully presented. Highly recommend!
