The restaurant is recommended. Very tasty food, friendly staff. Interior is very special and very colorful.

The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly, funny and responded to individual requests. I just found the homemade house spritzer a bit overpriced. But I would love to come back.

The food is good but not great, fajita was mainly vegetables with small portion of chicken. The service was good in general but one waitress wasn’t very nice.

I know you shouldn't write any more good reviews about Palito, but it's one of the best in the city, at least if you're there with a group. Check out the video, pure entertainment.

I'm petrified. Basically very tasty food in good portions, there's nothing to complain about in terms of service either. However, the inclined penny-pincher will be disappointed here. My wife Elke enjoys eating her food and when she took the last bite, she actually had a stone in her mouth. A stone!!!!! (See photo) Stones usually only sit on my Rolex, but not on my plate. The food and decor (tip: go to the toilet) are great! The two-person tables, on the other hand, are far too close to each other; if there was 10 centimeters of space between the tables, that would be a lot. We also sat at a two-person table. I got a bit of a cramped feeling about it.

Food came too late, because my wife is pregnant we ordered a burrito without spicy, it arrived with sheep, the food was too salty, unfortunately I paid 85 for 2 people, it wasn't worth it at all, unfortunately I can't recommend it.

One of my favorite restaurants in terms of quality of food, ambience and service. Unfortunately, prices have exploded in the last 2-3 years. Tapas were once available for a price of ~5 euros per portion, which is now only enough for olives; potatoes in tapas format now cost a whopping 10 euros. Fajita Carne for 25 euros only comes with 3 tortillas and a smaller portion of meat than usual. It's a shame that the prices here are so exaggerated, as visits will become less frequent.

Unfortunately no, we waited forever for the food. One of us only got our food after everyone else had finished, about 30 minutes later. Drinks were cleared away and no new ones were asked for. Unfriendly condition.

Unfortunately, cigars were smoked in the closed outdoor area, which made the lukewarm food inedible. Far too busy, the staff was unfriendly and overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people.

We went there on Saturday night. We tried to call before in order to make a reservation, but they said that they weren’t taking any reservations in advance. They said we need to come and wait , and that exactly what happened. At the end we got a place outside( it wasn’t cold since they had an outdoor heating system) . The food is tasty and affordable.

Tapas and Pulpo were great, I would add some vegetables or salad to the pulpo;)

The ambience cannot compensate for the poor impression of the service... I had specially reserved a table and we were still seated in the entrance area. They didn't even know anything about my reservation. And we had to wait about 30 minutes until we were served. The food is extremely expensive, even if it is in the old town of Düsseldorf, but in my opinion that still doesn't justify the price.

Very delicious, super friendly, great atmosphere 🤩 I love the pan con aioli and the dates! You shouldn't miss it. Today I also tried the Josper salad (lunch special) for the first time. Delicious with charcoal grilled chicken and fried pineapple. Top!

There is authentic Latin American food here, I especially recommend the fajitas or enchiladas! The cooking here is done with a lot of passion and the interior is second to none, everything is lovingly decorated.

Celebrated New Year's Eve here for the second time! Great atmosphere, very friendly service, great music and fun interaction with the samba dancers. Crazy fireworks on your doorstep at midnight 🤩. Southern, temperamental👌. Food was good, as you would expect on New Year's Eve (not excellent, but just good). The formula may be slightly cheaper, but you also pay for the atmosphere and surroundings. We had fun Palito people🍾🍸

Good latin restaurant in Dusseldorf, it was December 24 anyway, not an easy day for lunch anywhere

Nice atmosphere, good music and entertainment. What wasn't so good was the food and smuggling of drinks. Tekila once full, once half, non-alcoholic mochito had too much sugar, pure sugar. Instead of dry wine from the menu, something else was brought, but fortunately it was replaced. Next time I will of course order other drinks and food. Thanks

Super cozy Latin restaurant, great food with variety and very exquisite meat and everything in general. The service was very fast and friendly to us because at no time did both María, Beatriz and Roni lose their smile as we went for several days and they attended to us with professionalism. Of course we will return to taste their exquisite dishes and enjoy their good atmosphere with good Latin music and the dancers who encourage the diners to dance.

We were really looking forward to the visit in advance. Unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. It starts when you enter the restaurant through an awning. Several people were standing there smoking, which meant you had to walk through a huge cloud of smoke and everything smelled like an ashtray. Of course, this smell also got inside over time (we were sitting relatively close to the entrance). The service itself was generally friendly, but we were forgotten at times and were no longer asked if anything was missing or if we would like something more to drink. The food itself was okay but nothing special. However, the price-performance ratio is not right.

Very friendly and committed service, even if she seemed to be more occupied with internal company matters. The food was good, the portions were a bit too generous and the beef in my burrito was unfortunately a bit too tough; Otherwise it was really good. Oh yes, the decoration is not that subtle and certainly not a thing; But if you've ever been to Mexico at Christmas time, you won't be surprised.

On Friday there was an amazing live band! We had a nice dinner, a steak was €39,- , cappuccino 4,50, red wine 9.50. The prices where typically that what u expect in one of Germany's capitals. The restaurant looked amazing with friendly staff!

Saturday evening at Christmas time... We had to wait outside for a while and it was totally worth it. The restaurant was packed and if you want to eat in peace and quiet, you're in the wrong place here... But that's meant in a positive way... There is an atmosphere in the restaurant… absolutely crazy…. The waiters are almost constantly on the move. It's a special atmosphere that I've never experienced in a restaurant before. And as a special treat there was a dance performance by a dancer with Latin American flair. So if you want to allow something special and don't value a quiet atmosphere, this is absolutely the right place.

Went to Palito for the first time and were very surprised, in a positive way. The service was courteous and had a good view of all the tables. Reasonably priced. Taste fantastic. In my opinion, the portions and the presentation justify the price (as well as the good service) - we'll be happy to come back.

Overall nice, the starters were very tasty, the main course was too greasy/oily and poorly seasoned for me. The atmosphere was cozy but unfortunately the acoustics were bad when the restaurant was full. The show was good. Because it was so busy, the service couldn't keep up. I would have liked to order more drinks, but unfortunately that didn't work.

Organization very bad. We made a reservation a week in advance for 8 p.m. and were told that everything was too full and we had to wait until 9 p.m. :) We left

We've given the restaurant several times to convince us, but each time it's been a disaster. Food is really delicious! but the service and the long wait for food ruins the whole evening!!! We won't be coming back again. Disorganized, hectic staff. In addition, something urgently needs to be done with the ventilation. When the guests order the steak on the hot stone, you can't breathe and you smell like you've been standing in the kitchen all day. Too bad.

I actually really enjoy eating here. However, on the 1st of Advent there was apparently a new waiter there. With a Swiss or Bavarian accent. We were eating with our grandmother and he said as my grandmother paid for the meal at the end: “Well, the grandson is badly behaved” because as a man you didn’t pay the bill. Very pretentious and unpleasant. It's enough that I bought my grandmother a new Mercedes and she invited us to dinner as a thank you. Unfortunately, because of this waiter, we will not be visiting the restaurant again in the future.

Very nice restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf's old town. The ambience makes you feel like you are in Latin America. We ordered various tapas as a starter. Everything was really perfectly prepared and stylishly presented. For the main course, the restaurant really offers something for everyone and the staff will also be happy to help you with any intolerances or allergies. The food was all very tasty and we were more than full. At the end we had various desserts which we all liked. We are happy to recommend the restaurant and can only recommend paying it a visit.

The ambience is nice but the food was cold. I had a hamburger with fries. The meat was very dry. The meat was burned on one side. The fries were horrible. The waiter was nice. But the food was very overpriced for this quality.

I am very very satisfied with this restaurant. Every year when we go to Medica at least 1 or 2 evenings we eat at their place It is a Cuban restaurant right in the old center. Nice restaurant in the Altstad. Very popular so best to make a reservation. Both the chili con carne and the fajita pollo were excellent and very generous portions.

Busy place with pretty quirky interior design. There were few large group bookings, so thanks to the staff for placing us in the quieter corner!.. Cocktails were very good, South American style, in other words, not shy on the alcohol. Food was good too, it did not blow my mind, but it is of a good standard.

The look of the restaurant is nice and different. The staff is not real friendly the are in a hurry and the girl we had did not speak any english at all so it was hard to explain our request even that we spoke some german. We had bread, that was burnt under need, than manchego 10,90 for 6 little piece. meatballs without a lot of flavor and the sad pard was i requested nachos that where not spicy due to my child. The only solution was the take away the chilly con carne with beef, but we still paid the full 17 euro for soms plain nachos with a bit of cheese and a dip. when the brought the bill the made sure to explain that the price is without fee or tip and waited close next to me until i have gave the money. This was 75 euro for a view small dishes 3 drinks and we left hungry and sad

Price performance absolutely not justified. You only pay for the location. The food was ok but absolutely nothing special. Never worth the money. Charging just under €5 for a glass of cola is a total rip-off and nothing else.

We've been at Palito for a long time today. We are disappointed by the poorer quality of the food and the increased prices. Only the friendly young lady who served us left a good impression. The ceviche consisted almost entirely of avocado and the small bite cost €24, the nachos were lukewarm and foggy. The wine for €13.90 a glass is a bad joke for the simple image outside. To top it off, there was begging for a tip in the toilet. What kind of business model is this? We were there for the last time today. For the price you can get better quality and a nicer experience elsewhere in the old town.

My girlfriend and I were in the store today. Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but from the inside it offers a very nice atmosphere. The service was super nice and accommodating, the food was outstanding. We look forward to coming back soon. :)

Great, I can't describe it any other way. We had albodingas, fajita, polla habana and tiramisu for dessert. The restaurant is lovingly furnished and has many paintings. The service was great, very helpful and accommodating. The food was very good and we enjoyed it excellently. Especially the sour cream, which is usually nothing special elsewhere, gave the fajitas a special taste. Very clear recommendation 👍🏼

Celebrated my birthday with a great meal there on Saturday... the food was great, the sangria and cocktails were great... even though the shop was completely full, great organization, Alke was very relaxed, friendly... loved us felt very comfortable

Very quaint and authentic restaurant with super delicious food And on certain days there is also live music. During our visit there were two Brazilian samba dancers there in the summer, very nice to see. There are enough toilets in the basement that are very clean. And the spare ribs are particularly recommended. What did we really like here? We will definitely come back.

Great food and an amazing atmosphere

Overall the restaurant was fine, but the food was just okay, not great or worth going out of your way. The bread for the table and empanadas were the best things we had. My biggest gripe though was with the burrito they had a salad with mustard dressing that did not go together or complement each other at all. It really clashed and kind of ruined the flavor. The chicken in the fajitas was fairly dry as well. The service was friendly and quick overall.
